Freshly prepared food with excellent ingredients and amazing taste! This restaurant attracts a crowd every day and it's not hard to see why.
Absolutely loved this restaurant! We will be here again when we come back to Turin. It was our first dinner in Italy and after 3 weeks there and now back in the states, this place still stands out. The asparagus flan (sounds weird, right) was incredible. It's extremely asparagus forward but if you like asparagus flavor, incredible. It's been almost 3 weeks since our visit now and I can't get the Spaghetti Chitarra out of my head. The chili pepper does pack a little punch but if you like some spice, this one is amazing. I looked for similar dishes at other restaurants but couldn't find any. I've been trying to find a recipe that will yield a similar pasta but no luck so far. Seriously, if the owners see this, please send me the recipe. My mouth is watering writing this review. Service was wonderful and accommodating, impeccable food, and the atmosphere in the square at night felt like something special.
I don't know why this place doesn't have more and better reviews! The service and wine is amazing. I only was able to have an aperitive here so I was not able to sample the food but the menu was super authentice. It is what my relatives serve when we are in town. We also observed them being very helpful to tourists. The historical aspect makes the atmosphere incredible, this home is 500 years old, there is a plaque detailing the history. Totally amazing! I highly recommend!

We ate twice at this authentic place on a pretty square. The staff were lovely, spoke good English and the food was great. Highly recommended
Nice place, gnocchi with gorgonzola&speck was delicious. Taglieri had a good mix of hams and cheeses. Very good price.

Acceptable food. Long wait for service if you sit in the square. Waitresses serving food & returning to the kitchen empty-handed - without considering other tables might wish to place a further order or need dishes cleared. The final insult was queueing inside to pay the bill & being asked to step aside for three other people to pay their bill first!
We went there for sunday lunch, it was a busy day so we were prepared for the waiting. But not for the bad experience. Papardelle and agnolotti were good but we got no wine to drink it with; it came after we requested it again, and after dishes were taken. Chicken fillet was made in a haste and with little seasoning. Onions were raw and the fillet was pale. Ceasar salad has pieces of burnt chicken and two magnets from the kitchen (see photo). Does someone, anyone, control what comes out of the kitchen? What else landed in your customer's dishes? The staff, when confronted seemed sad, but did not act.
Unless they had available seats on terrace, waitress offer us internal table. Only young or white people outside on terrace , for older or darker they offer interior tables

awful and would not recommend for tourists. we ordered the duck ragu – and while we get that local dishes can be different from what we’re used to, this was a letdown. it smelt like boiled meat, had no veg, no sauce, and felt really plain. for the most expensive main we had in our whole time in turin, we expected way more. what really let the place down was the service. we tried to order another dish and were treated in such a patronising way– staff and the manager made it clear we weren’t welcome. when we asked for the bill, we had to wait around 20 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. the place was quiet, no rush, and the manager just wandered around picking up tissue off the floor and chatting with other staff like we didn’t exist. [even before this whole incident, as soon as we started speaking english, the demeanour of the staff changed- our plates were thrown on the table, which i’ve also seen in other reviews] we eventually went to the counter to pay and got ignored again. whole atmosphere felt a bit cliquey and unwelcoming, which just made the whole experience awkward. we had much better food and service elsewhere in turin — i would suggest trying the restaurant opposite instead if you’re in the square for dinner.
Unfortunately, the hostess for the second day in a row refused to seat us for some unknown reason?? We were at the front of the line at her hostess stand both days & waited 10 minutes each day while she sat everyone behind us & ignored our requests, very rude.(2nd day too??) She would not even make eye contact. We couldn’t understand why, only can assume that they are either anti-American or anti-tourist which is highly unusual here in Italy?? We went to three other restaurants in the Piazza with no problems. Shocking attitude??
From the outside it might look like a nice place. Trust me.. it's not. Staff is very unpolite and arrogant. They give u a feeling as if you're not welcome. Especially the managing lady. She is talking to guests as if she doesn't want any and looks straight through you. She wasn't just rude and arrogant but showed a complete lack of respect and decency towards her guests. The food is simple and not very tasty. Next to that we had a little worm in ouer salad. I guess u get the point. It's a nice square, try something else ;-)
We first got stale breadsticks, probably because they reuse the ones not eaten from other tables. Got three knives and one fork after ordering. Food came out in less than 2 mins, one plate was cold and soggy, the other was blitzed in the microwave. The ravioli was definately not fresh, looked incredibly processed, like from a packet. We asked for some cheese and it took about 15 minutes to arrive, and we saw them grab it from a table that was just eating from it. We left after three bites of our meal, would never recommend to anyone. If you are in Turin, there are hundreds of better restaurants that champion Italian cuisine, this was not one of them.
