This city chocolate shop opened in 1958; over time, it has reinvented itself, becoming both a well-established brand and a major name with its own shops and gelato shop. The main workshop is located here, in full view behind the counter. Guided tours are offered (for example, during the "Factories Aperte Piemonte" initiative), along with hands-on activities for adults and children, school classes, and tastings. The shop sells cremini, gianduiotti (one of four producers in the city), coated candied fruit peels, seasonal Christmas and Easter sweets, traditional pralines, liqueurs, and truly spectacular artisanal creations. The staff is friendly and helpful.
A well-known chocolate producer. Prices are reasonable for the products offered. Excellent quality, with a wide selection of both gift-wrapped and packaged goods. This is definitely a store worth visiting.
Buying chocolate, in itself, is a joy. And here it's even more so! With the open laboratory behind the counter, a friendly sales assistant, and a wide variety of excellent products! The gianduiotti deserve a special mention. Highly recommended.
We came to Ziccat on the recommendation of friends from Turin, and we weren't disappointed. We tried some excellent hot chocolate, with cream and hazelnuts! The pastries were very good, and some more average, but we went back to buy them because we liked them overall! It's a shame the Bacetti di Dama sell out quickly; they're very good.
A new gem in Turin: just visited the shop in the city centre and their coffee with whipped cream was truly outstanding, warm and kind welcome from the staff too.
Absolutely worth a try. Here, chocolate reigns supreme in all its forms, but above all, it's artisanal and delicious. If you have the time, book a tour of the factory and, like little Wonkas, you'll not only learn a lot about cocoa processing, but also create your own chocolate bar and watch Easter eggs, cremini, and gianduiotti—the real stars of Turin—be born. The staff is incredibly kind, young, and available to answer any questions. It's truly a beautiful and unforgettable experience, especially with children. Thanks to the Master Chocolatier for the patience and love he puts into his work, which is evident in every taste of Ziccat chocolates and pralines. Adjoining the workshop is the shop where I highly recommend stopping to treat yourself and your friends. I purchased chocolate bars, mixed gianduiotti, coated peanuts, and more, which, honestly, never made it home. In short, you get the idea: anyone who doesn't try Ziccat is a fool (Piedmontese quote). They accept all cards. Connected by public transport, you can get there by car, bus, metro, and even parachute...
I discovered this brand of chocolates thanks to Michelin in Settimo Torinese, which gave all its employees your delicacies as a Christmas gift. After tasting them at home, they all went away, and it was impossible not to go to your shop to get some more. Truly excellent chocolate, made fresh in the artisan laboratory next door, and excellent value.
Amazing chocolate!
We visited the chocolate factory as a big group. The visit was amazing - we saw how the chocolate is produced, we could even make a small chocolate bar on our own and we could taste many different types of chocolate. I can highly recommend it!
Great chocolates, they have also sugar free varieties. The personal is very nice and helpful
We had a great tour of the factory and the chocolate was delicious
Great place for a local chocolate, but be careful it is closed in august til the beginning of september for holidays.
Talk about a hidden gem! And I mean hidden! And I mean gem! From the outside you think, “Oh, it’s a factory.” But once inside, it’s amazing! It even smells delicious. Then gift shop over looks the factory floor. All the many different kinds of chocolates are arranged around the shop floor.
I had an excellent hot chocolate with a slice of hazelnut torta. I was seated quickly but a friendly waitress. The atmosphere is jovial bit jot noisy and the decor is tasteful contemporary take on th…
I'm amused to share that I just consumed about half of some kind of pistacchio shake. The English version of the menu said it was pistacchio ice cream with whipped cream and "pistacchio granules". T…
I've known these products for a long time. Everything is high-quality and top-notch. Every time I go there (via Bardonecchia), I'm always disappointed by the staff. I ask for different packaging than the ones available (e.g., Cuneesi and Cri Cri) and they get annoyed. The last time I went, the girl said, "You take the bag and do it yourself..." I don't know if I'll go back. I advise the owners of the business to pay attention to these aspects; they lose the added value of the product...
The hot chocolate was delicious, but it was a shame we had to wait in line for half an hour to get a seat, drink it in less than five minutes while they were clearing away, and then wait in another long line to pay. Basically, a timed experience. The quality is there, but the organization really leaves a lot to be desired.
The best gianduiotto chocolate in Turin. The fact that I updated the review by removing stars is due to the fact that the price goes up by €1 every year. 250g of gianduiotti costs €12.00, which is absurd. €59 per kilo is absurd. I remember very well that in 2022 it was €9 per 100g, and it had already increased significantly because the first time in 2019 it was €7.50!! However, our salaries haven't increased, so you're just looking for an elite clientele. It's a shame because I used to buy them at least four times a year. Now I'm wondering if €12 for 250g of gianduiotti is a waste of my resources. Extremely disappointed.
I received two beautiful handmade Ziccat eggs, one shaped like a chicken and one shaped like a bull. The chocolate was sublime, the decorations were perfect, but very, very disappointing and inappropriate (for the price of the egg!!). The surprises... A cheap plastic supermarket shopping cart token... and a magnetic bookmark (?). In short... A reasonable price for the quality of the chocolate, but honestly, missing out on a surprise like that... makes you think!!
I opened the Easter egg early: the chocolate was good, a little too sweet, and the hazelnuts were chopped too finely. But the surprise was even more disappointing… for over €112 per kilo (€45 for 400g), okay, I wasn't expecting gold, but I wasn't expecting a plastic Chinese product either (a keychain-style pen that breaks just by touching it). Would putting two chocolates inside have been too expensive?
