Our waitress Maria was just the sweetest women ever. She brought us free muffins before our food and a box of them after!! She was super friendly and the food was outstanding

Mimi's is always a good place to eat at, they never disappoint, my go to eggs Benedict, and waffles or French toast, pancakes are yum, but just not my go to, I need that sweet and savory. Service is always great and quick. I will definitely be back.

We had a party of 15 on a Saturday and they were so accommodating, they have a new Seasonal menu with so many options, our server was the best Maria was so amazing and the food was delicious. It's a cozy place with a wide array of breakfasts their chicken and waffles are a must, but I personally love the chicken parmesan. Our waitress Maria was kind and tended to our needs.

Mimi's is still one of the best places to eat in Torrance. Had my family of 12 for Brunch on Sunday with no wait time and the food was so delicious. Best of all was the the service, Maria you are amazing thank you for making our celebration so special. You have to try the Salmon Benedict they were amazing

Israel was very welcoming and helpful. Zeudi was very lovely and made sure we had everything that we needed. Will be coming back again since the food is very delicious and hot. This is my new favorite spot to eat at!

I love the French toast here!!!! It's so delicious, it doesn't even need any syrup on it. The pumpkin spice latte was also good here too. Would definitely come back to dine here.

Love coming here. Our club meets here for dinner monthly and they are always very accomodating and the service is great. The food is pretty decent although I miss some of the old dishes.

We were there for Mother's Day management was so poor, the person in charge of organizing reservations and sitting us was completely lost. Up until we were seated the experiences was awful but our server was so graceful, she went out of her way to make our experience so wonderful made our mother feel so cared for. Maria you really made our Day, our food was served hot and in a timing matter. We will be coming back. You saved the Day!

This place is a great place to go for Sunday breakfast. I really love their egg, spinach, and egg crepes. And my favorite is their buttermilk pancakes. I recommend you also try their mango mimosa's. On Saturday and Sunday's their mimosa's are $5.

Went to get breakfast on a Thursday. It wasn't packed. We were attended immediately. Grabbed some mimosas and I ordered the pain perdu with mixed berries. Highly recommend. It was delicious.

Love the food here! It's never crazy crowded. Service is always excellent, our server Ana Chan was the nicest person and when we come again I'll request to be in her area. I always recommend this restaurant to people who are new to the area or visiting.

Stop by Mimi's today and have to give credit to places like this that have employees and food that deserve praising. Maria was our server and she just went above and beyond to give us excellent service and the food that she recommended was amazing. Trip of appetizers to start, Hibachi Salmon and Toffee Cake. Great Place, looks very nice outside and much better inside. The service was excellent and the food just ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my wife ate 🥩🍳 Stak and Eggs and I had 🍳🐟 Smock Salmon in a Omelette, do you believe it, 😜 is my first time and topped with sour cream and capers, believe me, was soooooo good. I had a great experience with the customer service specially Millie Everyone was friendly, professional, and very helpful from start to finish. My questions were answered quickly, and I felt like they genuinely cared about my concerns. The staff was knowledgeable and made the whole process smooth and easy. I really appreciated the positive attitude and willingness to help. I would definitely recommend this service to others and will be coming back in the future. Thank you for the excellent service!

today i have a especial day in this amazing restaurant! this morning i decide celebrate my birthday and was a great experience and food, the restaurant is clean and beautiful! my food was really testy frenchPot roast and obviously a delicious french onion soup! the service Zeudi was our server! she is a great service, nice smiling all the tine, kindly with all the people, she make the suggestion for a 3 curse meal, was a good deal, she was checking on us all the time which i think it was great ! she was awesome. we felt a good vibe defenetly we will come back!

Five stars for handling business on Thanksgivivg! We obtained a reservation and saw the whole place humming. Every single person we saw working there was committed to service. They were all cheerful about the workload. The result was that we had a high quality dinner in a very pleasant atmosphere. It seems like the restaurant is well run from the bottom all the way to the top. Highly recommended!

Atmosphere: for a Sunday afternoon it is perfect. Not too many people. Family oriented. Service: EXCELLENT!! Had server and other staff check in repeatedly. Food: I got the 3 course meal. Artichoke dip: excellent! Corn chowder (not shown). I ate it Main course: salmon, baked potato and broccoli Reason for 4 stars: not offered the Mimi’s bread. Salmon was a touch too salty for me. Baked potato looks great and they only offer - green beans or broccoli for vegetable.

I've been here twice in two months and both times I enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. This last visit I had the Strawberry Lemonade and shared the Brioche Cheeseburger with my sister, as it was pretty big and neither of us wanted too much. It was my also my birthday weekend so I had Mimi's Bread Pudding (shared with others) and the Creme Brulee. It was all delicious and I enjoyed everything. Our host was very kind and courteous. And the venue has great seating options. On this visit we were on the outside patio which was beautiful on such a nice day as it wasn't too hot or cold out there. And they had umbrellas set up over us. It was perfect.

We love Mimi's Cafe. The menu can be described as a French diner - comfort food with a French twist, like potatoes au gratin, grilled chicken, mimosas with French champagne. The place is huge and not crowded. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Waiters sometimes mix up orders, but they are kind and caring. Try their madelines. Delicious!

Mimi"s Cafe, 25343 Creshaw Blvd, Torrance California. The first time I had dinner at this Restaurant was my Birthday 🥳🎉🤣🎉 (almost fifteen years ago). The waitresses made it special for me, by providing a piece of a cake 🎁🎂 with lighted candles and they all sang Happy Birthday to me. That was super wonderful 👍😊. You see, I had just moved to the South Bay area, from Simi Valley and I was all alone, didn't know anybody in the area to celebrate my birthday with. So that was very, very, special and I will always remember, your kind waitresses. The Restaurant inside and outside is well designed, it always makes one feel at home. And the food is always, delicious. Depending on what you choose on the menu, some are a little pricey, and others are very reasonable. There is enough parking lot outside, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.

Mimi's has got the one thing that makes me happy - all day breakfast! But even if that's not what you're craving, there's definitely something on the menu that's you'll can find something craveable. From soups and salads to salmon and pasta, the do a great job on making sure you're eating well. Plus, they've got a great kids menu and some tasty beverages - and super friendly servers.

A solid four star. We had the fries and burger and this place is pretty much as good as this type of food gets. The butter lettuce salad dressing was to die for. We had an $18 glass of wine ugh.....! It's very pricey and they tack on an 18% non gratuity charge which I'm not a fan of personally hence the minus star, but if you have money to burn and like French food the food and overall ambiance is superb.

I love Mimi's, but the muffins are the major attraction. They are gone, discontinued.

Surprisingly good. I hadn't been to this place in years but it was super convenient today so I dropped in. I got a grilled tuna sandwich on a cheese bread of some sort with corn chowder and fries... I have to say the sandwich was outstanding, seriously outstanding. The price was reasonable and the service was decent..... Maybe a little on the slow side but I had plenty of time. I'll return just for that sandwich also I noticed today that their cocktail menu was pretty darn good for a chain restaurant

Our first visit wasn't the best of experiences, not because of the food or the service but because of the guests sitting at the next table. That was not the fault of the restaurant, so I didn't want to write a review at the time. This is our second visit and, just like last time, the food was amazing and the service was beyond awesome. I normally am not big on muffins but their carrot raisin muffin and buttermilk spice muffin alone made the trip worth it. The corned beef hash was very good and not at all tough or dry. I am not giving Mimi's 5 stars because my husband's ham and cheese crepe was a bit dry. But he did eat it so I would have given 4.5 stars, if that was an option. Everything else was flawless. We are definitely looking forward to the next time.

Service was really good, no complaints for that. My mom got the pancakes and she absolutely loved them. I got the chicken and waffles. I was not expecting the best fried chicken but it seemed hard to chew and cut. The waffle itself was decent.

Good food and friendly servers. My family was happy to see Mimi's open when we were looking for a sitdown, comfortable dining experience. They did a great job with my pot roast, which was delicious. And my family enjoyed their traditional turkey dinners. Enjoyable atmosphere, if a bit noisy at times. Recommended.

It was ok. The food was kinda lackluster but the service was exceptional very prompt.

I go Sundays for their breakfast and it's always delicious. I get the steak and eggs with country potatoes. The waitress we get is always very attentive and alert to our drinks needing refills. She makes shure we have napkins and always ask if we need anything else. She is the perfect example of what exceptional customer service should be.

Food is always good but the service could use better management. The servers are friendly but they always seem short staffed. We waited for a long time before we were even noticed at the front. The manager needs to help out the staff better or delegate better.

We went late w/ friends n family. Great service, sweet and thorough waitress. But I do have to say, I love the assortment of breads they give you while waiting, it's actually one my favorite reasons why I go there. But they stopped giving the delicious blueberry and different assorted tiny muffins with their delicious butter and the Pumpernickel and assorted breads. Although they still give you some bread it wasn't much and not what I had a taste for. So Booo...I so had a Taste for that amazing bread.🤤 But they still do Sell it their.

This score would be a 5 if the service had been as good as the food. It was quite when we were there, about 3 in the afternoon, and the service was below average. Both my husband and myself have worked in the hospitality industry so we understand some of the things that can effect service. That being said, the food will have us going back.

Food is pretty good for the place. They have All Day Breakfast which is nice and the server we had was great and attentive. Haven't tried lunch or dinner items yet, but I plan to go back sometime.

Decent Americanized French style restaurant. Good choice to explore French food without drifting too much away from the typical American food. I chose the meatloaf with potato grain and garlic sautéed spinach. It was filling and enough with leaving some space for dessert. I had the creme Brule, which was not the greatest one I had. It was closer to flan and had the consistency of pudding rather than a creamy substance. Yet, the restaurant has a nice vibe and atmosphere to eat with friendly and caring staff.

Mimi's is a little gem that's losing its popularity. The food is delicious, with average prices. I think they fall short with not updating their brand. The restaurants need some sprucing up. They need an overhaul to keep up with the times. None the less, the food speaks for itself. The pot roast is delectable, and French onion soup warms the heart. The desserts are mouth-watering delicious! So come on down and save an old favorite, give Mimi's a try! I strongly support small businesses. This is one chain worth saving!😘

I was excited to see a Mimi's today. We use to have one in Ventura and Thousand Oaks, but both closed a few years ago. I had the French Toast with eggs and sausage. It was delicious and cooked exactly as I asked. Sam was very attentive and did a great job of making sure we had everything and came back and checked on us to make sure food was good. As I do when I receive excellent service I let the manager know he did an exceptional job. I was a server years ago and always acknowledge when I have an experience that's above an beyond. I wish you'd bring Mimi's back to Ventura County! Thank you!

My son in laws family had a baby shower there for our daughter. First of all I thought the service was amazing! Ana the bartender started to take care of us, and then handed us off to another woman, which I can't remember her name. She was also amazing! She was always smiling, joking around with us and making sure we were taken care of. I didn't eat, but everyone said it was great. My wife had tomato soup, and she thought it was delicious. The whole staff was incredible, and would definitely go back when I'm in town.

The customer service was good but the chicken and waffles that I ordered wasn't so good. The waffles were a little on the dry side and I got two small pieces of thin fried chicken that had no flavor to it. I couldn't even finish my plate. I still tipped though because the waitress had good customer service.

Made reservations on November 23 for 2 on Thanksgiving day at 4:30 through open table. I received 2 email confirmations and a text. We arrived Thanksgiving day at 4:15 only to be told they do NOT have our reservations even though I made it 5 days ago. The hostess informed me they stopped taking reservations 2 days ago.... okay , I did it 5 days ago... anyways we had to wait 30 minutes. We haven't been to Mimis in years. Our thoughts we feel like this restaurant is more senior citizen friendly, the meal was okay for $30 fixed meal you got what you pay for, waitresses were obviously understaffed (not their fault) which resulted in slow service. Would we ever go back probably not. if your over 65 this is the place for you!

Honestly I took my family out for brunch here and was pretty excited. Sadly coming after a holiday caused some issues, the service was backed up although it wasn't too much the restaurants fault - it did cause almost an 1-2 hr wait time for brunch. I wouldn't recommend anything other than the new bread dessert they had but the price for a dish similar to French toast for 16.99? It's good but... Simple, good with coffee but not worth the price.

I ordered crêpes for my daughter and myself to go and I guess they were sure to cook because the manager was cooking well the crêpes look like burritos there was hardly any fruit on top and it was plated badly!

Mimi's Cafe is a very nice and quiet restaurant that has quite a good menu, serves breakfast all day. The only point is the prices are beyond the quality of food severed. Salad is $7.99 uge!

I purchased turkey🇹🇷 sausage & egg with one pancake, fish🐟 & chips, jambalaya, tomato🍅 Basil cup, mushroom🍄 Brie Burger I did not like the jambalaya🍤 at all it was Bland with no taste it tasted like someone microwaved frozen food & they were not able to evaporate the ice🧊 to keep the flavor there was no effort put in to making what they brought out to me on this visit I also ordered the mushroom Brie Burger🍔 that was also created like my grandmother👵 famous sausage and egg🥚 breakfast sandwich🥪 that she would make for me after sending me off to school in the morning but Grandma's was a whole lot more flavorful The sausage & egg🥚 with 1 pancake🥞 was like a children's plate but was for a full grown-up The fish🐟 & chip🍟 was the only dish that was prepared correctly and was somewhat presented correct to our table I also ordered 2 cups latte vanilla 50/50 hazelnut the coffee☕️ was great the best coffee☕️ beans 🫘 also yesterday I stopped in before my visit to dine in buttermilk spice muffin was great as well that is one of their major features from what I hear buttermilk spice muffin I will be getting that for sure The restroom🚻 was sort of kind of clean but still needed to be clean it was too early in the morning🌄/afternoon with no customers for their restrooms 🚻 not to be an great or good condition or if not at least clean where the toilets weren't clean the mirrors🪞weren't wiped off The presentation was not to my expectations for the price of these plates at this place there was also cleaning materials sitting in front of us as you can see in one of my pictures there should be no cleaning supplies sitting on the tables as you eat they should be behind the counter somewhere where customers cannot see Shiftlead Millie came in to saved the day as you can see on my receipt Millie took off the meals I did not eat & where not happy😅 with for me letting them know ahead of time⏲️ of how I felt about the items I purchased the price I explained to Millie when it comes to price in the food industry the major thing is presentation presentation means everything should not charge somebody for food but add more on as it's a five-star restaurant but you're really preparing food with no consideration of the person that you are creating this meal for this is a restaurant this is not a fast food establishment all I can ask is a staff to upgrade do better I will be back to this astablishment also try other Mimi's Cafe

Went on Thanksgiving. The food was okay. The gravy was a bit watered down. Customer service was a 3 out of 5. Could’ve done better. Stuffing was over cooked. Maybe because they were rushing, it was packed. I’ll have to go another day and see if it’s worth it.

I'm giving them a 2 star just because our server was great. She has great customer service skills. The food was not good. The jambalaya was basically a tomato sauce with chicken, shrimp, tiny little pieces of sausage, and the vegetables. It had no type of flavor. We left from the restaurant unsatisfied and still hungry because the food was not eatable.

I haven’t been to this location in a number of years. The atmosphere has really deteriorated. Torn seats, scratched up tables, etc. I left feeling this place was going to close. Sad. The food and selection choices were good. Our waitress seemed overworked. Don’t know if I will return.

At 6:30 pm for dinner, there was a long wait to be seated with only one couple ahead of us. A long wait for the server to arrive to take drink orders. A long wait for food to be served. A long wait to pay. Ordered two different Baguette sandwiches, both were dry and flavorless, one with one blob of cold brie in the center, the side salad was bitter with a vinaigrette dressing, the order of meatloaf was cold and we did not receive the veggies we requested. The broccoli in the Kids Meal was the best thing served on the table. Two stars for the server who did her best with what she got from the kitchen. I will not be returning to this location.

Service was good. This review is based on the dish that I ordered. I went in and saw that they had a chicken pot pie option and I love Pot pies so I ordered it. After waiting a brief 20 minutes this is what I received. At first I was very confused I looked at the waitress and then I looked back at the dish and just sat there for a couple seconds and just decided to give it a try. The tortilla like disk on top was not very flaky it was a lot harder than what you're used to. And the chicken inside or I should I say under it was very chewy almost like rubber. It definitely was not what I expected nor did it even meet a standard of "okaysNess" needless to say, would not recommend.

I have been coming to this location since 1997. This location has been consistent with their food quality over the past 20 years, from my experience. Unfortunately,many things have changed in the past few years. My recent visit was very disappointing. I invited two friends to meet me here for breakfast. I felt bad because no one was satisfied with their food. Over the years and as of right today, It is still printed on the menu ... "Apple wood bacon". Not anymore Apple wood bacon is thick and tasty. The bacon that was served was skimpy and cheap. The only thing that was exactly the same was the Blueberry Muffin 🧁 Delicious. When we arrived,there was no one in the front waiting area. We waited patiently for someone to come up front to seat us, But we ended up seating ourselves. The bus boy came and offered us beverages and completed his task. The waitress approached our table, who seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. Even though it wasn't busy at all. There were about 10 customers total inside the restaurant at this time. She was multitasking by taking table orders inside, the patio area and to go/catering orders. Overall things we totally different than my past experiences here at Mimi's. #no more mimis

Went to breakfast to celebrate completion of a MRI and was completely dissatisfied because our food was served cold. Do not understand what happened because the wait was not exaggerated so why was our food cold? Possible causes were it was cooked in a timely manner and just sat there or it was pre-made and just served as is. Anyway the bottom line was —$62 worth of disappointment. Never going to Mimi’s. Money is too hard to come by to just waste.

Atrocious food- how do they mess up eggs and berries? We were a group of 10. We ordered salmon and egg Benedict, Santa Fe omelette, and fried chicken and waffels. No one was particularly happy with their food. The ambiance is cabin style, fine, but the food is gross.

I had a 5 star review of this establishment 4 years ago but boy has this place changed with the quality of their food. Terrible. Pancakes were dry Waffle was sub-par Eggs were overcooked Potatos au gratin looked and tasted like something from the frozen TV dinner section from the supermarket and not properly microwaved. No wonder they have a "cooks wanted" sign out front. I expected better but was met with disappointment. Too bad. At this point Denny's is better and that's saying something.

Arrived at 1pm on a Sunday. Got seated and our orders taken. Took an hour for food to arrive and when it did it was cold. We never received bread for the table. We never received one of the desserts. We never received one of the side salads. No idea what’s going on at this place but when it costs as much as it does, none of this should have happened. The bread eventually showed up but only after we reminded them. It was barely warm. We reminded them about the dessert we had ordered and they asked if we were ready for it. Normally if a person orders a dessert ahead of time, they want it with the rest of their meal. When it finally arrived, it was lukewarm. The bowl it was in was cold. The server had to be reminded to bring a dessert as well for the person who ordered a molten lava cake. Thankfully, that one appeared to be actually hot. I’m not sure where the fault lies but it seems like a whole systemic issue at this location.

This USED to be one of our favorite spots! The table was dirty, the service was awful, and the first time my Eggs Benedict was burnt! So sad!

Arrived at Mimis this morning with a friend who flew in from Hawaii and I thought this would be a great treat. When we walked in, no one was there to show us to a table so we waited. There was a woman on the phone at the bar area the whole time and never looked our way. There was another employee that looked like he might be on his break sitting at one of the tables on his phone and never looked up. We were there for a little under 10 minutes when two gentlemen from one of the tables in the back got up and started walking towards the door and told us they'd been waiting for 30 minutes after they were told they could find a seat anywhere they wanted and no one ever came back to take their order so they were leaving. We turned around and followed them out and left. It was very disappointing.

This location should just close. Plain and simple. It's gone downhill so badly. The food tasted microwaved. We used to love the bread basket and cappuccinos used to be on point. Now you get stale sourdough and bland coffee water. It's so bad! It used to be so good! What happened? It's so sad. We won't be returning. It didn't help that our server was so indifferent about our complaints. The young Latino who seated us was nice and I hope some of our tip went to him!

My 90 year old mom went there for lunch with her friends. They are regulars. She ordered half a chicken plate. It arrived and it looked like a piece of chicken not a half chicken, okay that's fine. But it was so so dry that it was inedible, and this coming from someone who likes well done. She asked to send it back and they denied because they said she already cut it open. How was she supposed to know that it was dry without cutting it open and taking a bite. Mind you, she is 90 and doesn't eat a lot. They gave her a "free" muffin and would not take the food or refund it. So the muffin was the price of a chicken plate. My mother and her friends will never return, ever, to any Mimi Cafe. Shame on you for taking advantage of a 90 year old!

Very slow service, mediocre food. They definitely need a refresh.

I had the Thursday special which was not like anything in the photo. My food was horrible. Clearly it was not made to order and seemed to be microwaved. The service was awful. The dining room had hardly any customers the food, drinks and bread took which seemed like forever. The french fries were soggy and cold. The bacon was burnt. Two female employees wearing black plants and flowered black shirts were unprofessional. The stench of the carpet was overwelming. Stay clear of this establishment.

So disappointed in this restaurant. The hype is not what everyone makes it sound like. The chicken pot pie was lacking the buttery, creamy flavors. This one tasted like run down chicken pea soup. Very bland. There was no crust either. It was a round piece of hard bread thrown on top. Had to use a knife to cut through. Traditional crust is soft and flaky and a fork easily cuts through. The jambalaya is nowhere near traditional flavors either. This was basically tomato soup, no seasonings, very bland as well. There were some peices of shrimp, chicken and sausage but none had any flavors. Again, all I tasted were tomatoes. I do not recommend this restaurant. Not worth the price for the ultimate lack of flavors. I honestly won't be recommending this to anyone.
