I had a great experience at Urban Plates thanks to Jin. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Jin was friendly, professional, and made sure everything was perfect with our order. You can really tell he cares about the customers and takes pride in his work. The food was delicious and the whole experience felt welcoming and smooth. Employees like Jin are the reason people keep coming back. Thank you for the great service!

This is by far one of the best eateries with the most options to enjoy. The food is healthier, the kitchen is clean with multiple people working different stations to assure your food Is freshly prepared and hot, and delivered very promptly. The atmosphere is laid-back, but yet it has a sense of knowing that this is going to be a good experience. The prices are reasonable and though I pretty much stick to the same dish, today I tried the chefs special, which was Seabass and I chose the side dishes of the balsamic glazed brussel sprouts and the basmati rice. Everything about it was everything you would want it to be. And then to top it off, I was assisted to buy an exceptional young lady by the name of Beatriz. She along with everyone I encountered were awesome. And, please know, that I drive 25 minutes just to come to this particular location. Sitting on the outside patio with the fire pits Aligning the countertops, Overlooking the beautifully scope, Ted gardens? This place is all that and more. And I hope to bring a date here one day soon.

I love urban plates! I like to come here as a nice gift to myself and my body after I work out and lift hard! I have tried a variety of their sides and my favorite are the Parmesan mushrooms, rainbow carrots, beets with goat cheese, and the marble potatoes. Can’t go wrong with a mouthwatering steak plate and a slice of bread! I recommend you also get yourself a cookie and share with your friend! They’re huge. Shout out to Ivette for the great and friendly service! I appreciate the vibes at this location and look forward to coming back whenever I can. Also, if you like the food consider becoming a Plate Pass member, the membership pays for itself over time in how much you save!

Food is absolutely delicious. Steak is from grass fed beef. Chicken and ahi tuna were also great. Basil tomato soup was very tasty. Beatriz was very courteous and friendly. I am definitely returning and will be a frequent customer. Yvette was very attentive to detail when she took our order and courteous to my mother. Great restaurant.

Urban Plates has officially become my go-to spot every time I’m in the South Bay, and honestly, it never misses. The service is consistently top-notch: shout out to Danny T! Environment is warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the staff cares, and that kind of energy always elevates the experience. The food? Always fresh, beautifully prepared, and delicious across the board. Portions are generous without feeling overdone, satisfying, balanced, and thoughtfully plated (no pun intended). It’s one of those rare places where quality, consistency, and value actually coexist. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy a proper meal, Urban Plates delivers every single time. My only complaint, and it’s a real one, is that we don’t have an Urban Plates in Burbank or Valencia yet. If we did, I’d be there far more often than my wallet might like. Until then, Torrance Urban Plates remains a must-visit. South Bay folks: you’re lucky.

If I can give this place six stars, I definitely would. I had Beatrice Yvette and Regina and when I tell you, there were beyond amazing and hospitable I’m so excited to make this a part of my weekly routine for my date night. The food was absolutely amazing and with only being able to have vegan and vegetarian options, they had more than enough for me and my date to have a great and wonderful dinner. If you haven’t tried this place I highly suggest you go. Parking is a little bit tight, but as long as you park under the 24 hour fitness, you can get your parking for an hour if you bring your ticket to the front amazing place will try again

Perfect spot for anyone who loves healthy, high-protein meals. I also loved that there’s a gym right in front of the restaurant. I ordered the grilled steak plate with quinoa and broccoli the steak was tender and the sides were delicious. It was a fresh and well-balanced meal.

I hate their menu: as a pescatarian, I’m used to just a couple of options, but UP leaves me reeling. No matter what I pick, I’m passing up something else I really want. This time went with the pick four veggie side plate. Never disappointed. All of our entrées came out piping hot. Everyone is super friendly. One of these days, I need to try one of those giant chocolate chip cookies.

I’ve been to this restaurant so many times that I can almost consider myself part of the furniture. The food is consistently excellent, and the portion sizes are generous. It’s definitely great value for money. The overall atmosphere is good, making it a pleasant place to dine. As for the staff, I would say they’re okay — not particularly warm or friendly, but they get the job done. One suggestion I have for the management: consider cutting costs and improving efficiency by installing self-ordering screens at the entrance. Customers could place their orders and pay directly, then simply take a number and have the food brought to the table. It would streamline the process and possibly reduce staffing needs.

A truly enjoyable experience. Parking is connected in a paid lot. The atmosphere is amazing with a patio attached with fire pits. The customer service is bar none, with Marla and June going above and beyond. They are both very professional and intuitive. The food is healthy and many items are organic, grass fed and finished making for exquisite taste. Good food looks just like the picture. Prices are good but get the Plate Pass online for deals. You’re on a health journey, you’ve come to the right place. Enjoy!!!

I appreciate how this spot keeps it real and transparent about where their ingredients come from. I’ve visited several of their locations, and the consistency in flavor and quality never disappoints. My only gripe? Their desserts are dangerously delicious… and seriously calorie-packed. Hahaha. Food: 4/5 While the flavors were great, a few items came out slightly cold — and I noticed at least eight dishes sitting in the warmer waiting to be served. Not sure if it was an understaffing issue or just the kitchen moving a bit slow (see picture). - Chimichurri Grass-Fed Steak – Perfectly cooked to medium rare, tender yet meaty. The fresh chimichurri sauce ties everything together beautifully. (Grass-fed and grass-finished steak grilled and drizzled with housemade chimichurri.) - Mixed Beet Salad – 4/5 The CHUNKY beets are the star here — generous portions and incredible freshness. (Marinated yellow and red beets, arugula, artisan lettuce, roasted tomatoes, organic carrot, crisp jicama, raw walnuts, hemp seeds, goat cheese, and preserved lemon vinaigrette.) Parking: 4/5 Free parking in the 24 Hour Fitness complex nearby. Super convenient if you’re dining in, and if you’re just picking up, there’s plenty of space to pull up in front. I hate to leave a bad review especally to a place that has such high ratings but the food was unedible for me and for my daughter. The steak was tasting weird and came cold and so is the sesame broccoli so I ate nothing. I had the tomato basil soup which wasnt good but at least I was able to eat it. My husband got the chicken dish and he was ok with it. I didnt complain to anyone. I wasnt sure what they d have done so maybe they would have comped it but I didnt bother
