Es un clásico en Torrevieja, con un largo bagaje, lo cual ya es un buen aval. Carta mediterránea .El servicio bueno y rápido, los tiempos de espera, los justos entre plato y plato. La presentación y calidad de las comandas muy bien. Muy limpio todo y el precio acorde a la calidad.

Fuimos por las reseñas y es recomendable. Buen sitio, servicio rápido y lo que pedimos bueno a nivel raciones. La tapa de arroz estaba demasiado sabrosa y entero pero igual fue puntual. Muy recomendable. Relación calidad precio buena.

Fui a comer con mi pareja un sábado, reservando previamente, ya que se suele llenar bastante. Pedimos unos entrantes como: ensalada de capellanes, que tiene un sabor increíble con unos tomates super jugosos, muy buen sabor. También una fritura mixta la cual tenía una variedad bastante buena de pescados como chipirones, calamares y boquerones muy buenos de calidad. Por último pedimos un entrante de gambas al ajillo, para mí gusto faltaba un poco más de picante, pero muy buenos también. Para finalizar pedimos un arroz del señorito que estaba espléndido, un sabor muy intenso y bueno que no te deja indiferente. Lo recomiendo sin duda.

Hoy hemos comido en el bar Las Cañas y no podíamos irnos sin dejar una mención especial a Daniela, la camarera que nos ha atendido. Desde el primer momento, su atención ha sido impecable: cercana, amable y siempre con una sonrisa. Nos ha hecho sentir como en casa, pendiente de cada detalle sin resultar agobiante, y con una profesionalidad que se nota que no es improvisada. En tiempos en los que el buen servicio escasea, da gusto encontrarse con personas como ella, que disfrutan de su trabajo y lo transmiten a los clientes. ¡Gracias, Daniela, por hacer nuestra comida aún mejor! Volveremos, sin duda.

We had a pretty good dinner at Las Cañas in Torrevieja. The atmosphere is warm and traditional, and the seafood dishes were fresh, tasty and well prepared. Service was friendly overall, with a few small delays, but nothing that affected the experience. A solid local spot for a relaxed evening and quality Mediterranean dishes. Would happily return for their seafood and casual, authentic vibe.

Honestly, the restaurants in Torreveija don’t hold the highest standards so we rather eat at out house when we are here on holiday! BUT this restaurant has quality seafood. Recommend the grilled Sole fish. 10/10

Buen local. Parece que tienen buena materia prima. Pedimos almejas, pero la salsa no estaba muy allá, la verdad. Las almejas eran buenas. El arroz a banda, no estaba mal. Buen punto del arroz, finita, como debe ser. Las primeras cucharadas tenía un exceso de sabor a tomate y pimentón, creo yo. Luego te acostumbraba. Aún así, nos la comimos entera. Los postres muy aparentes, pero luego flojeaban en el sabor. Demasiada nata.

Hace más de 20 años que vamos a Las Cañas. El servicio cada vez peor. Has de estar tú encima de los camareros, si no, se les olvida una vez el pan, otra vez la bebida... Muy mejorable. Una pena ya que el género es estupendo y Santiago es un 10 como empresario. Esperemos que se fijen mejor en los detalles. A veces por abarcar tanto, se te queda parte de la profesionalidad por el camino.

Decent place, but a bit underwhelming. Without a reservation, we were seated outside next to a semi busy side road with plenty of mosquitoes. It would’ve been helpful to know that beforehand. Staff were polite, the food was mediocre, but the atmosphere was pleasant. All in all, a step above your typical tourist trap, but not by much.

This is a combined review from two visits. The first was a couple of years ago. The other was last week. The first time we went, the staff were a bit rude. Not very. But dismissive. Inattentive. Not helpful. Etc. that resonates with some of the reviews I’ve seen here. The food was also not good. Fast forward two years and we tried this place out again. Largely because in torrevieja there are lots of tourist traps and not many authentic AND good restaurants. So we didn’t have many options. But. It was much better. We had mussels and octopus. They were both very well cooked. We also had a cheesecake. It was good but would suggest removing the cream and rasberry jam. It’s not needed. A basque cheesecake is enough. My partner was not happy that we were given stale bread and had to pay for it. Again that resonates with other reviews I’ve seen. I can see how that might be low hanging fruit to increase revenues for a restaurant. And if the bread was nice it would work. But the bread isn’t and so it’s likely to just annoy customers. I’d change that policy or the bread recipe. The waitress was a young woman and very nice (not rude at all!) and they were kind enough to turn off one of the AC machines. One issue is that staff never check when you arrive at the door what you need. So you stand around not knowing who to speak to. They could improve their seating policies. We’ve seen reviews about the tapas so we may return for that. But I don’t think we’ll come back for a sit down meal I’m afraid.

A restaurant is so much more than the food, and unfortunately Las Cañas is a very split experience. First of all our party of 5 were placed at a table for 4. The tinto the verano was not homemade, but a bottle of Casera. My emperador was crude in the middle but unfortunately it was more than difficult to attract the attention of the waiter (he was to busy giving the 5 start experience to the Spanish guests...) . We tried to ask for lemon and salt with our fish, but had to fetch the salt ourselves, and the lemon appeared when we'd eaten half of the plate. My flan was a bit skinny, and I'm not talking about the lack of sugar, even though that was also the case. My carajillo was more brandy than coffee and the whole expedience left a bad taste... The food has a good potential, but the waiter leaves much to be desired, so we won't return. (And were fluent in Spanish, so it wasn't a matter of misunderstanding...)

We had dinner on a Tuesday and apparently it was a quiet night. We were a party of 2 and after being warmly welcomed we were taken to our table indoors. In general the food was incredible and very tasty, we probably didn't order more because service was lacking on attention and felt we were forgotten after the main dish was served. We ordered a bottle of white wine which was served without an ice bucket or wine cooler, it was only half way through the bottle that we had to raise our hands to get attention and request some support. Surprisingly the waiter brought the ice bucket and never touched the bottle to either top up the glasses or simply put it on the ice bucket. When they were about to close we were offered dessert but didn't feel comfortable to stay any longer. In fairness there were some other customers apparently locals sitting close to us that had better attention and service. I would go back for the food and hope for better service.

No es la primera vez que venimos a cenar a este restaurante. Pero hoy quería compartir mi experiencia con el entrecot,que hemos pedido aquí más veces. Sinceramente, fue terrible: demasiado fino, quemado por fuera y crudo por dentro… nada agradable. Además, el servicio dejó mucho que desear, ya que nos sentamos en la zona del restaurante cerca del bar. Antes, cuando nos sentábamos en el salón del restaurante, tanto la atención como la calidad de la comida eran mucho mejores.

(Respondiendo sobre que me han pagado el restaurante que comento en esta reseña puedes leerla y verás que tiene su correspondiente foto de la factura, veo que no te informas bien, necesitáis una cura de humildad para reconocer los errores y aprender de ellos….) Me cuesta poner malas opiniones en los restaurantes y suelo ser bastante coherente pero esta se la ganaron a pulso, nos guiamos por las buenas opiniones pero o han cambiado de dueños o cría fama y échate a dormir…, un tomate con un insípido queso a la plancha de primero, unas verduras a la plancha igualmente insípidas y sin sabor a brasa, para rematar un solomillo al cual le metieron una piña rebozada que no pinta nada, lleno de nervio y demasiado hecho…, mi pareja me lo cambió porque el suyo si estaba tierno y bien hecho pero ya ella no quiso comer más…, normal, le dijimos al camarero que esa pieza estaba con mucho nervio y si nos podía poner MEDIO solomillo nuevo (por 26€ cada uno ya puede estar bien tierno) y dijo que no podía tener nervio porque era solomillo….y que ya habíamos comido la mitad…,así que allí se quedó.., para rematar nos cobraron CASI 3 € POR CUATRO REBANADAS DE PAN QUE NI PEDIMOS NI COMIMOS, el que parecía el dueño o encargado ni nos preguntó qué tal habíamos comido ni nada, parece que les da igual, fuimos pensando que comeríamos bien por las opiniones pero desde luego la relación calidad precio bastante mala, casi 90€ por dos medios primeros, un solomillo bueno, otro malo y una botella de vino, está a años luz del restaurante el Muelle por poner un ejemplo, mucho mejor ubicado y con una calidad y atención, excelente, acorde con el precio, saludos.

I rarely write reviews but this place is something else...We just had quite the disappointing dinner. We were welcomed very rudely and only stayed because the place had been recommended to us by friends. Both servers we had were rude and made us feel like a nuisance rather than paying customers. Not once were we asked for feedback or if we needed anything else. When we tried to pay a different server clearly saw us wave and just walked away. At the table behind us people sat down and left twice due to no server coming forward. Now to the food: we had ordered 2 starters and 3 main courses. One of the starters was ham and cheese, not much to mess up there right? Wrong, the cheese had no flavour whatsoever. The other entry was seafood with garlic and tasted good, it seemed the kitchen would be doing some heavy lifting to make up for the terrible service until the main courses arrived. 2/3 were quite good but the tuna was so overcooked, it looked like a well done beef steak rather than tuna. And to top it all off when the invoice arrived we found out that we were being charged for the bread we never ordered and assumed was complimentary as it usually is at restaurants. Our friends had an entirely different experience so maybe different staff shifts actually care about the customers but we are definitely not returning and even felt the need to write a freaking google review to vent out our frustrations.

We visited the restaurant because friends recommended it to us. The first encounter with the staff was very unpleasant. The service didn’t get better with time, it got worse. It seems like the staff doesn’t want to be there. Don’t get me wrong the place wasn’t full, we were the only quests at the time. The food was mediocre at best, the entries were alright. The tuna I ordered was overcooked, the garnish was dry and didn’t fit the overall dish. On top of that we had to pay for bread we never ordered and thought was complementary, which seems odd to begin with. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, it’s too expensive, the service is unfriendly and the food was not good either.

The worst restaurant I’ve ever been to… They tried to scam us with extra food we didn’t order and it’s included into the bill. Beware of that. the waitress was very rude. We waited for our food for 1 hour, while other guests who arrived much later were served before us. Price is high for such poor quality. Portions are small even though in the menu they wrote the opposite. The food was very plain. I can cook a lot better at home. The only nice thing was the interior and the man waiter who was joking around, it helped to ease the bad impression we had from the experience. Not that it made everything okay, but at least it wasn’t a full 100% disaster, more like 98%. Not recommended
