Después de una buena ruta en bici por el Territorio la Podal en Tremp , hemos buscado sitio para comer y en Cal Borrell ha sido genial con un trato familiar y cercano que ya no se encuentra … y la comida casera con un sabor espectacular y muy abundante . 100% recomendable .

Un lugar muy recomendable para comer. Tienen un menú de comida casera que está bien y sabe rico. El servicio es rápido y con un trato familiar que se agradece mucho. El local está limpio y en buen estado general.

We ended up at Cal Borrell because of the reviews, and what a good decision! As soon as we sat down at the table we knew it was what we were looking for, a restaurant serving homemade food, Catalan cuisine and grandma's dishes. Literally finger-licking good. The weekday menu is about 16e per person and is worth paying for. The food is all spectacular in taste and quality, the service and attention are excellent. The truth is that it is hard to find places like this nowadays! Thank you very much for letting us enjoy ourselves so much and for welcoming us as if we were at home. We will be back!

I come every week with friends and it never disappoints. The staff is amazing and the service is unbeatable. I'm celiac and from the first day I haven't had any problems, because almost all the stews and other dishes are made with cornstarch. ALL the dishes are SPECTACULAR (potatoes with cuttlefish, beans, chickpeas, salad, beef, lamb...). The ingredients they use are incredible and everything is homemade. Not to mention the desserts like the crema catalana and the flan (also homemade) which are simply unbeatable. The quality-price ratio is the best I've ever seen. Eating here is like eating at your grandmother's house. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Every time I go up to Esterri, I stop by this restaurant for lunch. One of those restaurants that no longer exist in Barcelona. No nonsense, real food, well prepared, everything fast, and top-notch service. Marta, the owner of the place, is the one in charge of the dining room, attentive to everything. We stopped by on the way to Tírvia and everything was perfect. The little one's spaghetti Bolognese was delicious, the cod esqueixada exquisite, and the quality meats (lamb and lamb llangonissa). The Mató with honey was delicious, and the Catalan cream was excellent. We showed up without a reservation on a holiday, and they treated us very well, doing their best to make room for us. This will definitely become our go-to restaurant on the way to El Pallars.

Besides having a perfect balance of quality, quantity, preparation, attention, and service in their dishes, the wonderful kindness and organization of Marta and her team deserve special mention. We came guided by their reviews, and it was a great choice. Not only is it recommended, we dare say it's a must-visit if you're ever in Tremp. Although it's difficult for us to recommend just one dish… The snails in sauce and don't miss their UNMATCHED crema catalana. And the dessert, Filiberto… simply divine!!! Thank you, Yanira.
