Teníamos muchas ganas de conocer Kokoro por lo bien que nos habían hablado y ha superado todas nuestras expectativas. El entorno es maravilloso rodeado de pura naturaleza y variedad de vegetación en Copal Hotel Tulum. Tanto los aperitivos como el shusi y el shasimi eran una delicia para todos los sentidos, todo espectacular!!!

El mejor sushi de Tulum! Ofrece una experiencia espectacular al situarse en medio de la vegetación. Además un DJ amenizó la cena por lo que el plan fue muy divertido. Repetiremos.

Todo sabía rico, son porciones muy pequeñas por precios altos entonces recomendaría que pidas sushi si vas corto de presupuesto porque es un rollo completo, pero si vas a invertirle pide nigiri wagyu está bueno y el pomelo gyn es de otro mundo, la sopa miso no me gustó para nada jaja pero es cuestión de gustos creo, estaba muy simple, todo lo de camarón estuvo muy bueno y la ensalada de alga también, los postres de matcha estaban ricos, prefiero el helado que el crembrulé xq sabe mejor frio

Delicioso, se come riquísimo, tratándose de comida Japonesa yo diría que es el mejor restaurante, estábamos cenando y entonces encendieron el copal, el aroma es tan relajante, un poco más tarde las antorchas iluminando la naturaleza que hay alrededor, acompañado de una comida exquisita, tienen que probar el sashimi, una parada obligada en Tulum.

Magnífica experiencia en un lugar escondido en medio de la selva. Tuvimos la suerte de asistir al quinto aniversario del restaurante para el que ronquearon un atún entero. El menú de la noche fue muy variado: tartar, rolls, niguiris, sashimis. Mi corte preferido fue el toro. Luego completamos con algunos platos de la carta y estaban exquisitos. Sin duda nuestro restaurante favorito de Tulum. ¡Enhorabuena!

Estancia estupenda en el Hotel Copal Tulum El hotel fue una experiencia excelente. El servicio fue muy amable y atento en todo momento. La habitación era amplia, cómoda y muy bien cuidada. Además, el restaurante ofrecía una comida deliciosa. Sin duda, un lugar totalmente recomendable para disfrutar de Tulum.

Cenamos cuatro en Kokoro el restaurante Japo del Hotel Copal Tulum,Quintana Roo. La comida fue espectacular !! Nos dejamos llevar por la recomendaciones que nos hicieron y fue un gran acierto. El servicio a la altura de la comida. Asimismo, la luz, los olores de incienso y el entorno del ático en la ciudad hizo de esta cena una experiencia inolvidable. El Hotel tiene un jardín- selva lleno de árboles autóctonos, plantas y una piscina rodeada de naturaleza. No lo he visto en ningún otro sitio. No quisiera olvidarme que mi mujer y yo nos dimos un masaje en el jardín del Hotel antes de cenar. Fue la mejor manera de empezar la noche 😍

Went here on a whim with family when we were looking for a place where we can have nice vibes and food even though it was getting late. We got there and they were so nice. The food and drinks were excellent but the service was 15/10. We were helped by a woman whose name I really hate that I forgot but she had a shorter cut who was so lovely. She made a mocktail for my nephew and even confirmed that the sugar content in it was OK given it was so late which was really so thoughtful. He was so excited to be able to hang out with the big kids and have a drink made special for him. It was so cute and I definitely invite people to support this business.

Kokoro has been one of my favorite spots here in Tulum so far. Not only was the meal itself delicious, but the wait staff, especially our waitress Ana, was fantastic. The atmosphere has a very modern, Japanese-inspired vibe, while still feeling extremely comfortable and easy. As for the food, the Panna Cotta was one of the best I've had in several years of travel. The dairy free and vegan options were similarly delicious, according to the members of my party who needed them. Overall, I highly recommend Kokoro if you're in Tulum 🙂

Excellent! My favorite was the Unagi maki. I have never had unagi prepared this way. It was charred using a butane lighter just enough that the roll had a creamy texture, with extra unagi sauce. I usually order nigiri toro, but they had a temaki toro with takuan. The crunchy takuan was an excellent combination. The miso salmon was served with some crispy vegetable tempura. Big portion. Often the vegetable tempura is cut in too big pieces. These were smaller and more flavorful. My wife ordered ikura, hamachi and uni nigiri. She reordered the hamachi. Dinner on the second floor in the trees was lovely. Mexican sake was good. Had to try. (I don’t know sake) I have had sushi in California, Hawaii and Tokyo. Had a wonderful dinner at kokoro

Kokoro is my favourite sushi spot in Tulum. We have dined in twice, once in 2023 and again last week. We loved it so much we also ordered take out to have on our rooftop patio in the attached hotel (Copal). The Ora king salmon sashimi was to die for. I also loved that it was a bit quieter than other Tulum restaurants. While we love a party atmosphere this was the perfect spot for dinner with friends and family. They also have an amazing brut on their wine list that is only about $65 CAD which is near impossible to find in Tulum!

The open air, immersive jungle experience on all sites, the atmosphere was peaceful. We started with garlic and butter edamame and it was delicious. We ordered chef’s selection of nigiri’s, it comes 5 pcs. We like the tuna and salmon ones. White wish ones weren’t bad but very basic taste. We order 4 sets of maki’s, vegetarian, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and white fish. Again, white fish was a bit blend. Salmon and tuna maki’s were tasty. Thanks to Ana, our waitress, we had a very pleasant evening. She was fun to be around and was very attentive.

The food at Kokoro is amazing! The fish is so fresh and even the simplest dishes, like miso soup, is delicious. The service is amazing! Ana, Gersan, and Aaron were all amazing - sweet and funny, and willing to make sure you know what every fish is, particularly when ordering omakase. The ambiance is also great - a real jungle feel in a beautiful setting. Best part: copal keeps the mosquitos away so you can sit peacefully and enjoy your meal.

We had an amazing experience here. No reservation and was able to get in right away. We chose to sit at the chef's counter to get the full experience! Each course was delicately made with intention. Chef Roberto explained everything we ate. His knife skills were meticulous. Our server was Ana. She was very kind and polite. Other staff ensured our sake and water were always full. Come here for a great sushi experience! You won't regret it!

I had lunch at Spider Sushi and came here for dinner—both are amazing sushi spots. This place stands out for its desserts. Initially, I planned to order only dessert since I was already full, but I couldn’t resist adding the Hamachi Usuzukuri and some steamed edamame. The dishes were enjoyable, though I preferred their dessert offerings overall. While this restaurant is quite pricey, it’s to be expected, given its location inside a luxury hotel.

Note: the restaurant in Copal has an upstairs and downstairs, dedicated to different cuisines. We were in the mood for sushi, so we opted for upstairs - Kokoro. We did not try downstairs so can’t really comment on that. Atmosphere was cool, like a hut in the middle of the jungle. Service was polite. Mind you, menu was hit miss and the tab pricey for what we got. Started with miso soups. They were watery to the point where we sent them back: we got two different kinds of rolls, a tuna maki, and salmon specialty rolls. Tuna maki was average. The specialty roll was good. We ordered beef dumplings to add (apparently not on the menu). They were expensive, and nothing special. Lychee cheesecake nice, tasty, yet you will find easy comparables in other restaurants. All in all, an okay experience; we will not be back. The downstairs; which served Mexican food and pool cuisine; etc. was more busy. That is likely a better option.

El sushi estaba rico y el lugar es agradable, sin embargo mi experiencia no fue buena. Después de cenar salmón crudo en su restaurante, durante la madrugada presenté cólicos abdominales muy fuertes, náuseas, evacuaciones repetidas y malestar general, lo cual es muy compatible con una intoxicación alimentaria. Entiendo que pueden pasar cosas, pero tratándose de un lugar caro y de sushi crudo, esperaba un manejo impecable de higiene y alimentos. Este tipo de experiencia no debería ocurrir pagando $335 por 8 rollos. Lo comento como retroalimentación para que revisen sus procesos de manejo, refrigeración y contaminación cruzada, ya que la calidad y la seguridad deben ir de la mano. Desafortunadamente, después de esta experiencia, no regresaría.
