El lugar es espectacular por la ubicación, si buscas tranquilidad es también perfecto. Ambiente relajado. La comida toda la que he probado buenísima, y los camareros también, gracias a Magali por ser tan atenta. Es verdad que el precio es alto....pero estas en Tulum....y lo sabes.

10/10 en todo Las bebidas son ricas (las probamos todas) Los meseros son muy amables y atentos, honestos y agradables. La comida es muy muy rica, el aguachile negro riquísimo. Los precios son muy accesibles y buenos para lo que ofrecen. El ambiente en sí es tranquilo, nadie te molesta, nadie te presiona, es agradable estar ahí y comes rico.

No le pongo más estrellas porque no hay. Mi pareja y yo nos alojamos en el glamp ikal, que está a la vuelta del restaurante y al ser el más cercano fuimos a comer y cenar varios días. De bebidas probamos tanto la limonada con gas, que estaba muy buena, como los smoothies, que estaban super ricos, probamos varios y todos nos gustaron (quizá el de chocolate el que más). La comida también nos pareció de lujo, nos gustaron mucho el bol de arroz con pollo y las pescadillas, pero en especial los panuchos de cochinita pibil, espectaculares. El local se encuentra en la playa, perfecto para una cena con una luz tenue escuchando las olas mientras tocas la arena con los pies descalzos. Experiencia inmejorable.

This is a must to experience! Located in the protected jaguar park on the beach, you get to experience the jungle and the ocean while dining on delicious food with great people. The food has always been delicious, staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the views are stunning! We stayed twice and have eaten at the restaurant for all our meals. Each one was delicious and fresh! There are exciting vegan options as well! If you are in the area stop by and try it out! You won't regret it!

We stayed at the hotel this is apart of so we ate here for several meals over the course of a week. The food was excellent! The servers were very good and respectful. The food is a little on the pricier end but it’s very comparable to the other restaurants on the same strip. The atmosphere and views are so beautiful as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

It is definitely one of our favorite places in Tulum to relax or work remotely. They have the best internet we have seen in Tulum. Above 200 mbps. The food is always amazing! The ceviche with mango and the tacos are all so good. We also love the Mezcalita with passion fruit. You can play volleyball or relax on the beds. Now they have a pool too and that makes it even better.

Para ser honestos, la comida nos sorprendió. Es muy buena, sin embargo el servicio fue un poco lento y coincidimos con las otras reseñas, los precios para los locales o extranjeros de Sudamérica son muy altos sabiendo que a los al rededores, es decir en la playa hay opciones similares con precios accesibles. Almorzamos y cenamos en el lugar porque la comida insisto era muy rica.

El servicio (los meseros) muy buenos y atentos, pero la comida se tardó casi 40min en salir. El desayuno estuvo rico y fue buena porción pero si es lugar al que ir si tienes mucho tiempo. Fuimos porque estaba cerca del lugar de snorkel al que íbamos, creí que hora y media era tiempo suficiente y no, tuvimos que comer a prisa. El lugar está bonito como para pasar el rato ahí en la playa que está enfrente.

We ate here everyday during our 4 night stay, breakfast and dinner. Amazing delicious food and cocktails - we loved the golden milk latte (about 180 pesos, 9 USD each), mezcalitas (about 290 pesos) and fish tacos (approx 410 pesos for 3). It is rather pricy for Mexico, but I suppose it’s expected due to the location and the luxury. Compared to Cinco restaurant down the street, it’s the same prices. Can’t beat the location, right on the beach with view of the water, feet in the sand. The server Franky did a great job - always smiling, honest, fast, friendly. didn’t have any issues with him asking for additional tips . However two of his male colleagues (both short brown hair, one had a mole on his cheek) - they did insist on extra tips. We would ask to leave a 10% tip and they’d get pushy and insist only 15% or 20% was possible, they weren’t nice about it. They’d also round up the bill a couple dollars. Or not bring us the bill at all - just show us the price on a calculator (where they’d round up 2-4 USD and then ask for a tip on top of that). I wouldn’t trust them to charge to the room. It’s too bad, because this cohersion and dishonesty does take away from the experience. I guess you just have to be sure to get a detailed, accurate bill and stand your ground against their insistence - which gets tiring when you’re supposed to be relaxing on vacation, not worrying about being scammed. Please get more honest servers like Franky and it will be perfect.

We searched up restaurants and chose this one, didn't realize we had to pay to enter the Jaguar Eco Park for 415 pesos per person to get here The food was pretty good, we got the shrimp and steak tacos and the grilled steak main. The smoothies are pretty standard. The atmosphere was pretty nice, as expected from a beach club. Service was very slow though, the staff didn't come to check on us very often and it took a while to take our order and get the bill. Staff was very friendly though. Also their Internet wasn't working so we couldn't pay with card, cash only

We stayed at the hotel near to Maia for 5 days and this was the easiest and best place for breakfast. We ate there 3 times and each time we were impressed and happy. Keep in mind: prices were comparable to everywhere else on the beach (if you were expecting to pay less for food on the beach, I’ve got some hard truths for you), and the service was not always speedy. We started asking to pay when we received the food, which helped. BUT everything we ate and drank was delicious! The mixed juices were so satisfying and fresh, everything was beautifully plated and well seasoned. Someone in that kitchen is really cooking! We really only ate breakfast here, so I can’t speak to the other menus, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves (Fruit plate, huevos cazuelas, chilaquiles, overnight oats, the smoothie-juices, molletes con chorizo, and the hotcakes with Nutella, fruit, guava jam and almond butter)

The food was not amazing. The only reason we went to Maia is because the parking people stated that if we eat at the restaurant, we don't have to pay the 250 pesos in cash (since they couldn't accept card as payment.) The food was okay. Nothing amazing. It wasn't the best meal I ever had. The pretzel chocolate's chocolate was super sweet, and the ice cream came a lil melted. The pork belly guacamole was pretty good; definitely recommend it. If it wasn't super expensive, I would've rated them 4/5 since the food was alright. Other than that, 3/5 overall.

Wow lo malo que fue todo. Nada recomendado. Servicio terrible. Hay que rogar para que te sirvan o tomen tu pedido. Orden de 3 tacos dorados por $300 y ni siquiera estaban buenos. I stayed at Ikal Tulum for four days and ate at Maia Restaurant multiple times during my stay. Unfortunately, my experience there was consistently disappointing, especially given the extremely expensive pricing and the setting. Almost every order had an issue. The food and coffees frequently arrived cold. On one occasion, when I asked for the chicken in my salad to be reheated, it came back with about half the amount of chicken I was originally served. The quality of ingredients did not match the price point. The chicken in both the pear salad and the apple salad tasted identical to low-quality frozen processed Costco chicken strips rather than regular fresh chicken. For a restaurant positioned within a high-end, conscious resort, this was surprising. There were also repeated inconsistencies with what was included in the dishes. For example, the scrambled eggs for breakfast lists that it comes with a salad, tortillas, refried beans, and potatoes. One time it arrived without the salad, another time it arrived without the tortillas. I've been to Ikal two other times in the last few years and the food was absolutely incredible. This time, even when they got the orders correct, the food was extremely underwhelming, especially considering the price. Given the cost and the reputation of Ikal as an upscale, hippie/conscious destination, I expected much better consistency, service and ingredient quality For guests staying on the property, Matcha Mama (also located at Ikal) is a noticeably better and healthier option during my stay. I hope this feedback is helpful for management, as there is clear room for improvement.

The food was fresh and healthy (you feel good about putting this in your body). It was quite pricey for Mexico but I think it’s because they had live music, nice decor, lots of expats/ bohemians seem to frequent the location, and because of the proximity to the beach. It’s a great vibe. The service was decent until we got our bill and was prompted to tip. Our server added more than what we had asked him to include as a tip on our bill which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. My recommendation is that you double check your final bill amount including tip before entering your pin and processing the payment as I see quite a few other reviews have mentioned issues with servers and tipping. I didn't appreciate the lack of transparency and the mixup with the billing soured my experience here.

Beautiful beach club, good vibes but very poor customer service. We waited 45min for our drinks and over an hour for food. To be fair the food was excellent and beautifully presented. Full of potential as it’s right in front of paradise beach. Needs vast improvement.

Nos alojamos en el hotel Ikal, que es excelente, pero el restaurante no ayuda en la estancia y nos la hizo algo complicada. Tuvimos que salir a comer a restaurantes de otros hoteles porque la comida y el servicio de Maia Restaurant dejan mucho que desear. El servicio es lento y en la primera comida tardaron 45 minutos en servirnos. El desayuno es bastante normal en cuanto a calidad, aunque los precios (en general) son caros teniendo en cuenta la calidad/precio. Pedí un matcha que era imbebible (no lo cobraron), ya que parecían tener un espacio solo para matchas que me hacía pensar que la calidad sería buena. Para la comida unos tacos y hamburguesas con la carne pasadísima. En general volveríamos al hotel pero teniendo en cuenta que la comida hay que hacerla fuera. Es una pena y espero que mejoren en este punto.

Ojo con la cuenta te roban más propina. El servicio muy lento y no me agradó. No vino a la mesa tenía que buscarle al mesero para pedir primero las bebidas. Pedí chilaquiles y quería queso y crema aparte. Me cobró un extra. Con la propina fue lo siguiente le dije el 10% y me dijo 80 Pesos está bien? Le dije que si, confiando que 80 Pesos fueron el 10%. Me cobró el 20%. Me di cuenta cuando vi la cuenta. Piden primero la cuenta y revisen.

Mala experiencia, con mi sra pedimos unos tacos y una ensalada Cesar, después de mucho tiempo nos trajeron la comida, los tacos pasables pero el pan crocante de la ensalada estaba muy duro, básicamente porque no había sido preparado en el día , hicimos el reclamo con el mesero, se llevó el pan y al tiempo apareció diciendo que estaba bien que así era! Le dije que anteriormente había consumido ese plato y el pan frito estaba perfecto. Minimamente un restaurante le ofrece al cliente cambiar su comida pero esto nunca pasó. Otro tema fue que cuando abone la cuenta prácticamente me obligó el mesero para que le deje propina diciendo que es obligación, obviamente no se la iba a dejar por el mal servicio pero termine cediendo para no arruinar más mi descanso. Lamento haber elegido ese restaurante habiendo tantos en las cercanías.

Very overpriced, nice food and place though. However, be aware it's obviously a place made to cater to tourists with the prices that comes with this. It is kinda obnoxious to ask for tips that are semi mandatory when the food is so overpriced.
