Stopped here on the way to Bacalar and loved it 💛 Family owned, very friendly, and the food was simple and delicious. The parrots were the cutest part 🦜✨ Definitely worth a stop!

From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but don’t let that fool you. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything tasted homemade, like the kind of cooking you only get from people who actually love what they do. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the service was incredibly warm and welcoming.

On s'est arrêtés complement par hasard on a pas été déçus ! On a mangé un très bon poulet, l'accueil était très sympathique et "Nene" le petit perroquet est resté un moment avec nous :)

Non per schifittosi, il ristorante è il classico posto dove pranza chi lavora nei cantieri che sono lungo la strada, ma vi assicuro che è ho mangiato il miglior pasto delle tre settimane in Messico. 2 porzioni di riso, carne “alla milanese”/carne in salsa verde, insalata/crema di fagioli ed una coca cola per soli 240MXP… tutto squisito!

Ce petit restaurant familial vaut le détour ! Un accueil agréable et que dire des plats….la simplicité et la perfection !

El lugar es bonito justo en medio de la carretera nos prestaron el paso para acampar y la verdad habíamos escuchado de muchos viajeros que vendían el mejor pollo en América latina así que decidimos ir y probarlo. La verdad el pollo es muy muy bueno nos tocaron unas tortillas un poco amargas pero nos hicieron el cambio de inmediato y las tortillas buenas estaban también muy sabrosas no puedo asegurar que sea el mejor de America pero uno de los mejores que hemos probado en México seguro.

Es comer en familia. Muy atentos con su servicio. Son muy cálidos

Un buen lugar económico y sabroso para comer, sabor casero y campirano. Habia pollo a las brasas, pollo en adobo y pollo en salsa verde; servido con frijoles de olla, arroz, espagueti y tortillas hechas a mano.

Very nice place in the middle of nowhere. In compare to classic turistic restaurant along highways, this is very simple rustical place. The menu is not wide, probably changes day-to-day, but the older couple cooks and serves with love and joy. The place is airy and clean and very nice parrots give you a nice company. The food was absolutely delicious and portion was big for a cheap price. I can only recommend you to stop at this place and enjoy an amazing food experience :-)

A quiet and cool place, the air circulates well and it's comfortable. Regarding the food: $100 for an order of chicken, it's 4 small pieces, a portion of rice, beans and spaghetti, the chicken is super tasty and tender, a 500ml glass bottle of Coke is $30, handmade tortillas and spicy but tasty salsa. Everything was good.

How wonderful it is to still find places like this! Excellent food, super friendly atmosphere, super friendly staff! Definitely stop and eat here! Obviously not frequented by any tourists, it's the place where locals who work in the area eat. So no need to be picky, but it deserves a solid 10/10! We tried the Milanese cutlets and the carne al verde! Exceptional!!!! Obviously very low prices: 240 pesos for two!!!

If you are on the way to Bacalar, this is an amazing local place to stop and eat. Marvelous homemade food on wood stove. The owners were very kind. Service was amazing, my kids had so much fun with the pets specially the parrot. If you like a different and rustic experiences it’s worth. ❤️❤️❤️

If you're on your way to Bacalar, be patient and wait until you get here to have lunch. It was a truly authentic experience for us and magical for the children! It was definitely one of their favorite moments of the trip. The owner runs a farm, so don't be surprised to see all sorts of poultry wandering around, and especially this lovely parrot she was chatting with, who quickly joined us. The owner also showed the children her poultry farm, which they loved! The chicken was delicious; we didn't leave a single bite!

A rustic home and restaurant. We got in after biking all day and were greeted by some lovely people and pets. Dogs&Chickens galore! Bonnie & Jesús and their kids were great hosts. We bought delicious chicken and rice. Bonnie made fresh tortillas. They let us camp in the backyard near their house and use their shower. One of the dogs kept guard all night and we felt very safe! In the morning, notwithstanding we had to leave very early to get in some pre-sun early morning biking, we were offered coffee (Nescafé) and breakfast. We only paid for our food. Camping&shower was free. The food was very cheap. ($150pesos for dinner for two and $50pesos for multiple coffees). It was remarkable to learn that Jesus built the entire compound himself and all the furniture! Such great people with big and warm hearts. Truly lucky to have met them!

Rustic spot with delicious chicken and ribs. Lovely beans a la olla and freshly made tortillas. No menu, they do a few things and they do them well. Cold fresh coconut water too. Run by a lovely family. Would recommend for those driving on the highway and looking for a spot to pause.

Mur ricos los pollos. Muy amables los que atienden. Las tortillas de mano, excelentes. Muy buen lugar para hacer una parada en el viaje y comer rico. A los baños les faltaba limpieza, y al lugar en general tambien.

Un sitio familiar. Nos oferecio un espacio para acampar e una ducha...lo que es fundamental para quien viaja en bici. Comemos un delicioso huevos con nopal y tomamos agua de coco. Gracias!

We arrived and they just brought out dishes without asking what we wanted. The rice and pasta were reheated, even cold when it arrived. The only good things were the chicken and the tortillas; the only drink option was Coca-Cola. Honestly, the prices were expensive for what it was.

Attention, arnaque ! Pas de carte disponible, elles changent leurs prix à la tête du client. Elle nous dit au début, 20 la coco puis 30, 200 le poulet avec riz froid puis 280 au moment de payer. Très cher au final, un total de 310 pour 2 personnes pour un lieu très sale, surtout les toilettes.
