In thw last few weeks we've been fortunate enough to celebrate with cakes from Lulu's. We've had the torta mista, black and white cake and the carrot cake. All were exceptional, the cake was moist, the mousse was light and the frosting was just right. So glad they were able to move into this bigger location. They are the best!!

I went to Lulu’s because I wanted to order a specialty cake for my mother’s birthday. They did not disappoint. They were very accommodating and attentive to my needs. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious. I happily recommend Lulu’s.

Everything here tastes really good I particularly love the cheese danish, pistachio cake is amazing and so is the cheese cake. Good coffee but it’s pretty expensive. The bakery is always immaculately clean. Service tends to be slow so make sure you have time to wait on line the girls working behind the counter are in no rush. Amazing quality baked goods I love it.

Lulu's has always been amazing! The cakes and pastries are some of the best in Queens. And the customer service is really awesome! They are attentive, answer questions patiently, and tailor my requests as I need them. I especially love the hot chocolate they make for me. Special shout out to James, Gabby, Nana, Wendy, Lielle and Evelyn for their service and wonderful customer service, but the whole team is wonderful.

Super friendly! So clean I love the location. I love that the door handles are baking rollers and whisks. The napoleon cake is my favorite but the cupcake selection is awesome. Bought 14 the other day for a birthday and all the kids enjoyed it. The worker Even asked if anyone had allergies & separated the ones with peanuts!

A successful place is marked by its ability to damage control and desire to please the customer. Initially, I had a tense experience with them but was met with a wonderful customer service proficiency. This has been my very first phone order with Lulu. I placed a big order for a school graduation event, and one of their customer representatives gave me the wrong information. I am guessing she might be a new worker and doesn't have enough experience. I called to pay for the order over the phone the day prior to the pick-up day, and was told that i have the choice to pay over the phone or pay the balance in full when I pick up the cakes. I hung up with a confident confirmation from her side that the order is confirmed and will be ready by 10 am. When I went to pick it up the following morning, I was told that there was no order and that orders with no deposits are not considered at all. To me, this was one of the worst moments of the year because it marked a true setback for a day that is supposed to be the best for these graduating kids. However, I was introduced to the owner of the place, Charles, who went above and beyond to resolve this mistake. He instantly had the kitchen work on my order, and on top of that, he assured me that he would personally deliver the cake to school at a certain time. Fast-forward an hour and a half, he was inside the school fulfilling his promise. I appreciate this successful business model and the friendly demeanor with which I was met from Charles and Angela!

Spent a little time here. Only a few small tables if you want to sit down and enjoy a pastry, but the options are numerous and perfect. Mostly sweet Italian pastries and cakes, but a few savory options too. Enjoy with hot coffee or tea. I recommend stopping here if your in the area.

Picked up a couple sweets for a birthday. The rainbow pastry and chocolate cupcakes were absolutely delicious. Friendly staff were very welcoming and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

The Award Winning owner Charlie Tola has over 25 years baking experience that brings the taste of an Authentic Italian Bakery with creative flair and a superb taste to match along with great customer service. Charlie pays attention to detail when making a custom cake! I would recommend this place to anybody!!! Charlie was featured on The Food Networks “Cake Wars” and won the competition. The employees of Lulus bakery are very knowledgeable when it comes to Lulus products. I had a chance to speak to Charlie and he was telling me about his baking process. He stated “Quality is the key ingredient!” and that all is baking is done on premise using only the finest quality ingredients. From his Famous Cannolis’ to delectable Lobster Tails to the Mini Pastries to the Cheese Cakes and the Tiramisu and the Chocolate Mousse and the Italian Biscotti and the list goes on and on….these are to die for! Not to mention his fine selection of Coffee which is brewed fresh everyday, also his imported espresso beans which are ground and brewed on the spot every day and also a fine selection of Gourmet Teas. Stop by and ask for Charlie he has the golden ticket for your sweet tooth.

I love Lulu’s birthday cakes. We got a birthday cake for my dad’s birthday from here and it was so tasty. The cake was moist and creamy. They are open 7 days a week which is great for last minute orders. The cake had a creamy chit filling with a soft sponge like cake. And there were berries on the top.

Lulu's is EVERYTHING you want and more! You'll never go wrong by bringing one of their already made cakes or custom cakes or assortments desserts. They're super friendly and service is always top notch!

bought a rainbow cake from here. staff was super friendly, helped me answer all my questions super politely and succinctly and helped me figure out my needs. they have plenty of ready-made 8" cakes of various flavors that serve 10-20 people (if you slice them thin, they can get quite a bit of mileage lol). they also do writing on the cakes if you come to the store and write what you want written. $32. I also didn't realize but got held up with another errand and barely made it for closing but can you believe it they were nice enough to let me still purchase in time for my event. it was a spur of the moment decision! I'm so glad they were so nice and accommodating. the rainbow cake was sooo good i will definitely be keeping them in mind for my next cake needs. highly recommend!!

Never too late to share that a holiday desert was delicious. The very loyal lady behind the counter recommended a holiday treat "chocolate cake that included a textural element of biscoff cookies". This fresh cake was a very welcome delicious special treat! Even someone that normally does not like chocolate cake really enjoyed this one.

This is my go to bakery for work events. I typically come to get full sized cakes and it always tastes fresh and delicious. My favorite is the chocolate mousse but my coworkers loved the fruit tart and Italian birthday cake as well.

First time ordering a specialty birthday cake from Lulu’s for my son’s 3rd birthday. I sent in a picture of what I wanted and they far exceeded my expectations. Their customer service is excellent!! Angela was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The cake was exactly what we wanted and tasted amazing. The buttercream frosting was light yet creamy (my personal favorite part). Will definitely but relying on Lulu’s for all our custom cakes. I highly recommend!

So, now in the area for my own Doctor's visit. And as a regular contributor to Google maps I noticed that Lulu's doesn't appear where it should. It turns out that someone, trying to be helpful, no doubt, changed the address to: 179, 04/06 But Lulu's actual address is: 179-04 (and 179-06) The wrong address put it at St John's DaSilva Field Parking Structure. Fixed! Too nice a bakery to have the address wrong! ========================== I stopped in here while waiting for my wife who had a medical appointment. I wanted to get coffee and breakfast. They don't really do that, but perhaps they should. They do have a great array of cakes and pies and sweet stuff. So I had a coffee. They do serve coffee and I had to roll or something. The bagel shop in the area closed during the covid era as it were, and there is really no place where you can go to sit down and get a breakfast sandwich. Sandwich. There's a deli on the corner and other delis in the area but that's all to go. It would be nice to have a coffee shop/ bagel place.

a friend was visiting from queens and decided to treat me to a box of pastries, wow! it was an indulgent heaven in a box. Raspberry Nutella Tart - The slight tartness of the raspberry, cut through the rich chocolate and made a delicious pair. Oreo/Cookies and creme - The chocolate cake was very moist, and the frosting was so fluffy. Not cloyingly sweet the way cookies and cream flavors usually are. Fruit Tart - The pastry of the fruit tart was crumbly and buttery, the fruit was fresh, but I think the custard had a bit too much flour because it was a bit pasty. Regardless, it was also delicious. Strawberry shortcake - The cake layers were spongy, and the frosting was so airy. It was the ideal sweet fruity treat, in fact, it was my favorite! The chocolate hazelnut pastry was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was very decadent and creamy. Definitely recommend this for the chocoholics! Pistachio mousse was so velvety, and again not too sweet, but the pistachio essence was overpowering. It didn’t taste like a pistachio pastry, it tasted like a pistachio flavored pastry if that makes sense??

Went here looking for something small while waiting for my ride home. Found this beauty. Very clean and spacious. Had coffee and a scone. Later, we bought a yummi chocolate cake. It is delicious and not oversweet. As a woman who loves coffee, I must say that their coffee was the BEST I ever had. My friend & I both had 2 cups! The owner is not only attractive but had a nice smile and very friendly. It's obvious that he takes pride in his business. He explained the science of how their coffee is made and is very humble. Although I live in Brooklyn, I will definitely travel to go there again.

Excellent bakery with very fresh goodies! Unfortunately the staff is a different story. Went to pick up a birthday cake for my husband. An older Asian lady helped me. From the beginning she didn't seem to be very friendly or nice. I picked out the cake and asked to write Happy Birthday his name and age number. She came back with the cake and showed it to me I said it was nice & thanked her. I then asked her if she had candles with his age as well. She turned to me and said "well isn't that a little repetitive, being that you already wrote it on the cake" It was the way she said it that was very condescending & the smirk on her face when she said it to me. First of all lady WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!!!!! And I'm saying this nicely. This lady should be put in the back away from customer. Very very unprofessional. I really hope the owner will correct this unfriendly & extremely rude employee!!! Thank you for responding. I have a GREAT sense of humor but again I will tell you she definitely was not being silly. She was rude & said it in a nasty way!

My Husband's 46th Birthday. I don't want a cake, bakery has little mini cakes, different variety of dessert. So we got everyone favorites. Oh an let me not forget...Bread for Lasagna.....service was great...you ask ??? And staff is helpful...clean space...cakes were yummo...no disappointment...

First time here. Looked like a lovely bakery and not many good places remain. I ended w/ a whole wheat scone nicely displayed. I put my smoothly on the counter to pay for my purchase. This guy said to take my drink off the counter and was angry. I said no problem and apologized. There was no mark on the counter. Just surprised on his reaction.

Very small and crowded store. Cake tastes good. Cashier can be little rude sometimes so leave your emotions at home.

All the treats here are delicious. There is metered parking out front. Sometimes, it can be tricky to know if someone has already ordered or are waiting to be serviced; patrons are nice enough to adhere to the unspoken line. As of October 2021, there is no indoor dining. Some staff members choose to stay masked and some opt to be maskless.

Their cakes and pastries are good. Once I got a black and white cake which was pretty basic but tasted okay. Cake frosted with vanilla whipped cream. I like the frosting because it was soft and not too sweet. Cake price is reasonable but the pastries are bit expensive. Counter person was rude.

Great bakery with delicious pastries. We got a box of assorted desserts from the $22/lb section. I enjoyed the cannolis, cream puffs, and the fruit tart. I didn’t really enjoy the rum pastry. Would definitely recommend trying this bakery!

First time trying this place out. I really enjoy the cakes. Workers here are a bit rude. I would hope to see a change next time I visit.

The process of ordering my cake was so smooth. Very warm and kind staff, Angie was so helpful every step of the way. I wish I took more pictures of the cake. It was good, however the icing was a bit too thick and that took away from the taste. Overall, still pretty good. I will order/support again!

The service and atmosphere were fine, however the strawberry shortcake I got for my mom’s birthday was only mediocre-tasting at best and I’m angry at myself for not getting one of the more interesting-looking flavors. I needed a definite nut-free option, so no pistachio cake for me, and I’ve often gone for the Italian Wedding Cake in the past. I should’ve gone for the smaller, rainbow-looking cannoli cake rather than this flavorless option with way too much whipped frosting and cake compared to filling option. The chocolate covered strawberries on top looked enticing, but neither the chocolate nor the strawberries were sweet. The cake was dry. Also, we had to walk part of the way home carrying the box, which almost immediately tilted, so because we didn’t have the option of driving, we ended up cutting a partially smashed cake for my mom’s birthday, unfortunately.

Got tiramisu with my friends here and the guy over the counter was so racist towards me and my friends. Never going again. The tiramisu kinda tasted like rubber and was pretty much liquified. It looks nice but taste wise 2/5.

Clean establishment. So many tasty pastry options! I love their strawberry shortcake. Updated: 1/2025 Their recipe for the strawberry shortcake has changed. It's too sweet and super processed. Very disappointed

I used to go to this bakery a while back. I've only had the bread items previously so I thought I'll try one of the pastries. I bought a Raspberry Cornetti, Raisin Cinnamon Danish, strawberry shortcake pastry and an exotic cupcake. The Danish and Cornetti were great. A lot of cinnamon and raisins in the Danish. There was a lot of raspberry jam in the Cornetti. Two bites in and the jam exploded all over the Cornetti. The disappointment came from the cupcake and the shortcake. The shortcake had no strawberry flavor. The strawberry jam tasted artificial. I don't know what was exotic about the cupcake. Tasted like a vanilla cupcake with coconut on top

I'm honestly appalled by the experience I just had with a bakery I've loved forever. my husband called in to place a cake order and had the rudest person on the phone. he obviously isn't an expert on cakes so was asking some questions to help inform what kind of cake he wants to order. she was standoffish, would give one word answers to questions he would ask about flavors and fillings, etc. she huffed any time he asked something! I know it's frustrating when someone doesn't know as much as you but to be so rude is inexcusable. there was someone named Joe or something in the background advising and trying to help by saying "tell them I wouldn't recommend that and I'd instead recommend _" and she said "I don't think I'm going to tell them any of that because they're being difficult" I didn't realize asking questions to inform a cake order and insuring we get what we want was "being difficult". on top of all that, she was clearly distracted and wasn't paying attention when we were relaying info and had to repeat ourselves multiples times. when we clarified that same day cake orders weren't allowed (which meant we would need to order today for a cake by tomorrow) and tried to place the order with her then, she tried to hang up on us and told us to call back tomorrow because they close in 10 min......even though she also just told us same day cake orders are not permitted." I'm honestly so grossed out by the establishment now and don't really want anything to do with it if they feel it's okay to employ people like whoever that girl was. I don't really trust anything else from this place anymore and don't think I'll be purchasing from here ever again.

Ordered the vanilla fudge cake. It was so hard to cut, all the slices would fall apart. Fudge was harder than the cake. Do not recommend

I've been going to Lulu's since 2012 @ their old location. I have purchased birthday cakes for my loved ones year after year, but this Jan 2026 I bought a Mocha cake (standard cake they make and have on display) and it was quite aweful. The icy was hard and sugary and the chocolate sponge cake was also hard. It felt as if I bought it from a supermarket bakery......not Lulu's. What a disappointment it was to serve it to my guests.

I was really disappointed with the pistachio cake. I don’t really know what we ate because there is no pistachio taste aside from the pistachio nuts on the rim of the cake. I tasted sugar sweetness? matcha? Green tea? Maybe even fruity notes? and I was in absolute confusion because I could not figure out the flavor. Please don’t buy this if you’re a fan of pistachio. This is just a chocolate cake with sweet cream. Nothing special for $50.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR WEDDING CAKES!!!!!THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. We wanted to order our wedding cake from Lulu's and they completely tried to scam us. We asked for quotes WELL in advanced (2-3 weeks on their website). They gave us a QUOTE which takes 5 minutes for 90 people at 800 dollars, AFTER we already PAID 45 dollars for a cake tasting. When I asked for a QUOTE for 70 people, they simply said they can not change it from 90 people and tried to FORCE us to buy a cake for 800. A QUOTE TAKES 5 MINUTES TO CREATE. HOW LAZY CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE?! THEY LITERALLY SAID THEY WOULD RATHER MAKE 0 DOLLARS THAN ADJUST THE CAKE FOR 70 PEOPLE FOR 630 DOLLARS AT 9 DOLLARS PER SLICE. IF YOU WANT A WEDDING CAKE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT COME TO LULU'S. They wouldn't even let me talk to the guy who creates the quotes. What kind of business are they running where email is the only form of communication? Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

You really have awesome cakes n pastries.. But sad part is you need to bring in more smarter n faster people to serve the customers… Every time I visit I have to wait I min 2/3 customers you have at any given time but your employees are very very slow They need to hurry up in serving customers.. Good food but if you don’t have good service You can’t run the show

I like the sweets here but always find something I don’t like. Today I checked my box and something was missing. I set down with coffee and they don’t care about they have it these 2 pieces at the counter. Do they wanna sell it again and the girl wanna have some easy tips?! I’ve been supporting Lulus bakery for years and I’m sad that the customer service has declined drastically. I ordered a cake for pick up and paid in full through the phone a day in advance. The next day I come to pick it up and there is a line. I tell one staff I am here to pick up and pre paid cake and she rudely tells me I have to wait on line. While I am waiting the staff are moving extremely slow and the whole reason I got a cake custom made is so I can save time. I go over to another staff to ask for the cake and he goes into the back to get it without even asking me for my name. He comes back after a long time with the cake. When we were getting rung up we offered some feedback kindly to the cashier (girl with curly hair and glasses) saying that the customer service was not the best and we are disappointed since we’ve supported for so long. She then with an attitude asked what the problem was. We tell her that if we pre order a cake we shouldn’t have to wait on a long line to get it. She rudely told us that it is what it is and that’s the way her boss is and if there’s a problem to speak with her boss who wasn’t there. So this review is for the boss who has rude employees who get overwhelmed by a small line and don’t know the basics of customer service. Unfortunately after years of being loyal customers we will no longer be supporting this business.

Bad experience! The owner came out and yelled at me bc I put my water cup while I was taking out my wallet to pay. The croissant and the Sfogliatella was too hard to eat, not fresh at all, I had to throw them away after spending more than $18 in a few little things. Not recommended. Buy in any other bakery near you. Ah! And that was the only tiramisu in my whole life that’s just cream or frosting… that’s really frustrating and scamming!!

The cupcakes frosting literally had no sugar. It was like eating some sort of plain cream. The only way to describe it was buttercream frosting but with no sugar. Not what you want in a dessert. The brownie was not chewy like you would expect. It was cake with a layer of walnut and chocolate frosting at the top. I’m leaving a 3 star because the carrot cake of itself was good but again, not the frosting.

When I say this I mean this with all my heart I do not have Covid. I bought multiple pastries from this place in a short time did not have a problem until now. The sweets here just taste like bread, butter and cream cheese. Some how the baker forgot to add sugar. How do you forget to add sugar? If I wanted a sandwich I would of just made one. They ruined multiple pastries in my box and I'm left disappointed and disgusted. How do you forget the sugar in all the pastries? Do not come on a Thursday its terrible.

This place has fantastic pastries, but quite awful customer service that ultimately made me decide not to return but give another bakery my patronage instead. Their assortment of cakes, cookies and other sweet treats most definitely outshines other bakeries, as does the high quality of each one. However, every good pastry is ruined by their terrible customer service. I went in, asking if I could have a cake customized. Instantly I received a no. I’m allergic to nuts, but saw a cake that had nuts sprinkled on top that looked amazing. As such, I asked the worker if I could have one without nuts, to which I received a flat out “no” and not another word. For the rest of my ordering, I was given a hard time. Even asking for pastries to be separated according to sugar-free and non-sugar free earned me a stink eye, a sigh and an under the breath grumble mentioning how much of a pain I was. As mentioned before, Lulu’s cakes and pastries are wonderful, but their customer service is most definitely not. I will not be returning to this location after many terrible experiences with their customer service.

My sister lives out of state. She was nice enough to order me a cake for my birthday. She ordered it three weeks before the pick up date. (One day before my birthday) I picked it up as schedule. I opened it the next day. We used three slices. All three of us said it was horrible. The cake was spelled, it was dry. The frosting was rock hard a waste. Today is june fourth four days later, and they're saying I should have come in faster or called. I'm sorry I was celebrating my birthday and didn't make calling this place a priority. At the end of the day, they're refusing to give my sister back her money or even half of it. When my sister and the manager spoke and they agreed upon a pickup date 3 weeks after the phone. Call the cake should have at least been made the day before.I was scheduled to pick it up. If it was made like that, it still would have been fresh. For that reason, if I could give it less than one star, I would.

I ordered my younger brothers birthday cake from here and it turned out so bad which is shocking to me since lulus is usually pretty good. Firstly when I walked in the worker had gave me such attitude, rolling her eyes at me. And the. The cake itself was completely different from the reference photo. I’m really disappointed since this was my go to spot.

As a long-term customer, I think it’s time for me to go and not go there anymore. The pastries are good but the customer service I’ve been receiving lately is unacceptable to me. I ordered a Tres leches cake multiple times and last night will be the last time I’ll be ordering a cake from there, I asked him to put happy anniversary on the trip I just cake and since it was so busy which is my fault also for not reading when she showed me the plaque it said happy 43rd birthday instead. Once I gifted the person the cake we took a picture and took out the plastic, and it just fell apart And she was very disappointed and I was embarrassed myself and I bought it many times and it never fell apart before. So I called customer service about it and they told me that the cake might just be heavier so just fell apart next time I should cut with the plastic on. Although I cut the cake multiple times without the plastic and it’s completely fine they didn’t say sorry about the inconvenience or anything like that so if you ever get a cake, beware, make sure they’re writing the right things on it and make sure to cut the cake in the plastic so it won’t fall apart which will happen sometimes if you cut with the plastic all or off

Very poor experience. The owner has become Selfish/Nasty. Only small Child portion cup sizes available for either Gelato or Coffee though Adult prices are being charged, portions have significantly decreased. I was shocked seeing how small medium cup sizes were, barely enough to feed a baby, only to learn small cup sizes were barely enough to feed a newborn baby. Owner should rethink his poor decision making, and show some appreciation for his customers. Very sad to see!

The girls working there were very rude. They need more training to be nice with the customers.

Not happy with this place!!! My daughter went to this bakery to buy something for international women’s day. She bought a Mocha Layer cake. When we started eating this cake, it was not fresh, the cake smelled like it was in the refrigerator for a long time and it was too hard and dry. The next day my husband went to complain and return the cake and get a better one for return. The worker said “the manager is not here right now we will call you when he will come.” After 2 days they called my husband and said that the cake was fine and that he should take it back. whats the point of taking the cake back if we didn’t want it in the first place. Never going to this place again!!!!!!! Do not waste your money!!!

Bought a Mocha cake on Friday, we couldn't eat it.It was really really sweet.Had to throw it away. Was very disappointed. Always buy cake there on occasions.

Unnecessary amount of attitude from workers when asked for simple request. Too many workers lollygagging instead of focusing on customer service. I don’t think it’s such a big ask to have people control facial expressions. You don’t need to have a stank face when asked for something so small.

I visited Lulu’s Bakery to get a cake for my dad’s birthday. When I asked a young female employee about the ingredients in a cake I wasn’t familiar with, she responded “I’m helping someone” in a very dismissive tone. She then stood there for several minutes while her customer decided what to order—time during which she could have easily answered a simple question. The interaction made me feel ignored and unwelcome, so I chose not to ask further questions and went with a cake I already knew, from another employee. Customer service and basic hospitality were clearly lacking, which was disappointing for a special occasion.

Mini Yellow

This was my first time visiting Lulu Bakery after seeing many good reviews. The cookies, cupcakes, and cakes all looked very appealing. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. I was waiting in line to pay when the cashier told me she was helping another customer behind me and asked me to wait, even though I arrived first. The interaction felt impolite and rude, which took away from the overall experience.

Pretty sure nobody would be able to tell what is this… Left over? Looks like one but No… This is the affogato which I ordered the other day… Nothing served like the picture that shows @ the store. The serving size? Not even close…1 scoop looked more like 1/4 scoop.
