Kuma Sushi

This place is super yummy and has great service!! They are very attentive and do not take forever to get you food. I recommend the rainbow carpaccio, my favorite sushi! I have yet to have anything here that I didn't like. The crispy rice is also delicious! I love the crunch! Very much recommend!

Today, for lunch, we took my uncle to Kuma Sushi in Upland. His birthday is tomorrow and this is one of this favorite restaurants. I've been dining here for years and the place never seems to disappoint. We all ordered bento boxes. I chose the ribeye and the Katsu chicken with a side of ponzu sauce. The food was delicious. Everyone was happy, especially my uncle who ordered tempura shrimp and sashimi. For some reason, I ordered fried rice today. After thinking about it, I never do that here. Next time, I think I will stick to the plain old white rice. I love the fried rice at teppanyaki restaurants. This was... okay. Both servers were very nice and quite attentive. The service was excellent.

The wife and I have been coming to this place since forever... It is our go to sushi place, friendly atmosphere, chefs are not only talented but funny as well. Food is always on point and have never had a bad experience in the many years of coming here.

Honto oishi ! The lunch menu is very affordable and the portions are good. Will definitely make Kuma Sushi a regular choice.

Good food especially for those who eat fish. Not so good for vegetarians. The veggie roll was good. The bento Box lunch was generously proportioned and tasty. The vegetable tempura was expertly fried, and the beans and carrots were especially tasty. All was good, although the salad had way too much stressing.

Went in to order takeout. Staff was friendly and food was ready within estimated timeframe. The sushi we ordered was phenomenal! Super fresh and tasty! (Try their Cucumber Skin Roll - it rocks!) Not a big fan of their dumplings...a little too doughy and the ginger was a little overpowering. Also ordered beef teriyaki don, chicken teriyaki don, cucumber salad and mixed tempura. Those were super yummy as well! Looking forward to going back for a delicious dine-in experience!

It's been a few years since I've been here. The food took a little longer than anticipated but it was soooooo good once it came out. My personal favorites were the Cucumber Skin roll & BSC roll. The monkey ball was also a pretty good appetizer. Inside & outside dining open.

It's fine. That's really it. It overpriced for average to small rolls, especially when they are all just California rolls on the inside and nothing creative. Two of us spent $100 and were still hungry when we left(and we are small people who don't consume a ton)

They took forever to seat us despite the restaurant not being full or even close to it. Additionally, after taking our orders, it took so long to get our food that we had forgotten what we ordered. Then, after reading the receipt to find out what we ordered, the waitress brought me the incorrect dish. I had a more positive experience the previous visit, but now I will not be returning.

I was a little shocked at the tab. No ambiance. The food was ok. But for the price I was hoping for a little more wining, dining and perhaps a future date. I didn't get any of that. Martini-Sushi is nice, but Saki 2 Me is your best deal for the price. Everyday sushi, all you can eat, twenty bucks. Yeah!

Food was okay. We were waiting quite a bit for the second half of our order and there weren't even that many people at that time. The most significant part of the meal though was the fact that as I was taking the last piece from my plate (the chopsticks were still approaching my mouth), the waiter takes my plate away. So rude. Like there were still little pieces left on my plate. Wouldn't return

Also, their rolls are not drizzled with a bounty of sauces so if that's your grub, this is not the place for you to get your sushi on.

Im not sure what it is?The food is a bit wierd.The cuts of teriyaki chicken is strange.The sushi is "OK" The green muscles are kinda fishy,and not worth it.The place seams a bit dirty.There was smashed food in between the menus pages.The floor had food on it like it hadn't been swept today.My Kid likes the beef tataki ,the only reason why i eat hear on occasion.

And i only ordered salmon sushi, 6pcs.

Guy waiter must have been new....but service was so bad he should have supervision. Several items didn't arrive and had to remind him a couple times. Also, hygiene issues don't help matters. Even ordered green tea and never received. Will need to consider looking for another sushi place. Hopefully the staffing is fixed quickly.

Thought I'd try this place out with my son. When we got there we weren't greeted for about 5 minutes even with employees standing behind the sushi bar and other employees looking at us through the kitchen. The sushi was not good at all, honestly. The imitation crab, which I generally don't eat was the worst I've had. We ordered a bunch of sushi rolls I didn't like any of them and we had 7 plates stacked up the entire time and they were never picked up including the edamame that was served in the beginning. I had to get the servers attention for anything I needed. The place had customers though, maybe they were just super off with us.

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for over ten years now. Food has always been good but the service just keeps getting worse and worse. Main problem, our Food has rarely brought out together. Tonight was the final straw. My wife was basically done with her food by the time I got mine. My food for some reason took like a half hour tonight, which it never has before. So I ask our waitress,”Excuse me, I ordered my food like a half hour ago. Could you tell me how much longer please?” She could have just said,”I am so sorry! Let me just go back to the kitchen and see.” Instead, she said (paraphrasing), “I don’t know. I’m not in the kitchen cooking your food, am I.” Wife n I were shocked. It was almost comical how rude her response was. It was like we were on some hidden camera show. Our server was the thin Asian young lady that other reviewers have specifically complained about. Not sure why she bothers to work there with an attitude like that. Suffice to say, our last time eating there.

The place wasn't really all that bad. I was in town on vacation from Arizona. I was there Tuesday night celebrating my 50th Birthday along with my Sister and 2 very close friends from high school. These 3 have visited this establishment several times for they are from the area. At first, upon walking in, they made us feel welcomed and were attentive to our needs and answered my concerns for I have food allergies. Our server, don't recall ever getting her name, at first seemed like she was happy to have us. We 4 can be a very lively group. Well the moment a large party walked in, she was more attentive to them even though their group wasn't all there. She never came back to check on us. Never asked how our food was, nor if we needed anything. We were avoided as though we had the plague or something. Which turned turned my exciting time with friends and sister into a somber one. Teach your employees how they need to treat each of their tables with equal amounts of time and respect.

If you want good tasting sushi, dont come here. Not sure why, but seemed like imitation crab meat was their 'go to' ingredient. The seafood in the sushi bar wasn't displayed to see freshness like in other places. We visited on a Saturday night and there were only 4 people in there, that should have been a sign for us to walk out. Won't be returning.

The food was okay there. But I was very disappointed & disgusted when I got my appetizers & food. I got fried shrimps and I pulled out a black hair that was inside the batter. I let that go. When the waiter gave me my steam rice and meal. And there was another black hair on my rice, luckily the waiter seen it right away and gave me a new one. Them when I was eating my katchu chicken, I felt a diam hair when I was chewing and got really disgusted. I'm never in my life eating there again!!!!. My mother in law end up getting sick after she ate edamamas with garlic.

My family of 4 went to share a meal together. We were there hour and half and not one of us got served at the same time. 10/15 minutes at least between serving. So no one ate together. Our order of baked salmon came out last, approximately 1 hour later and it was raw. So that family member didn't get to eat at all. They asked if we wanted them to make another baked salmon. My response was, so we can wait another 45 to 1 hr again? NO THANK YOU . Will NEVER go back. Very disappointed.

Sushi great as always. Server is very condescending and entitled. We were at the sushi bar and asked twice for things and got a roll of the eyes and never received what we asked for. We were the only one at the bar and 3 tables were sat. We have had the same horrible service from the same waitress many times. Gonna find another spot.

we put in a order by phone. we get to the Restaurant . and we still have to wait til they cooked it !!! what's the point of calling it in,and they still to a long time to give me my meal !!!! That's ridiculous.I had to be somewhere at a certain time.That's the point why I called it in so it can be ready well so much for that careful when you call

The sushi here was very mediocre. I ordered several Nigiri pieces. The rice was dry, underseasoned and the fish was very haphazardly cut. I ordered the cold soba noodles only to receive extremely mushy overcooked noodles that formed a paste in my mouth. Aside from being underwhelmed by the food the price was rather high for subpar sushi. The service was very slow even before the dinner rush happened.
