Small Pizza double on the cheese and some pepperoni im telling you this pizza is a problem,it has me coming back for more 2 to 3 times a week. Amazing!!good job
My Favorite pizza place. They also have great subs, pasta and desserts. The service is good and friendly too. It's almost always a pleasant experience.
If you like a thick crust pizza with loads of toppings you will love Tony's!!! They also have great wings, cooked crispy, just like I like 'em
Tony's has geat BBQ.. the pulled pork and brisket are delicious. The steak fries are Devine. The service is always top notch. I usually get take out every Saturday They have cheesecake and single slces to go as well as a great menu.. it's not your average pizza place.
Positively the best pizza place in Utica.. Best riggis.. Best greens.. Best 'za.. Believe the review or just go get some dinner - I'll fight anyone who has issue with what I wrote here.
Best calzone I had ever had . Was made to perfection. Delivered in a timely manner . And sweet customer service
My mother is from Utica, and we live in Florida so I don't come often. My mother and her siblings swear by a pizza place that starts with an "O". My cousins swear by Tony's. I was skeptical because I basically grew up on the other joint. O finally gave in to my generations rumblings. I feel like my whole childhood may have been a lie. I'm still not ready to say they are my number one in the city, but damn they really have questioning things.
Quick! Clean! Great customer service! And the pizza! 5 stars! Love everything they produce here! We are lucky to have them!
My favorite pizza, staff always helpful and pleasant.
I've been chasing this taste since I was a kid since Tony's was in North Utica back in the day and this place has the exact same taste 5stars for sure
This Tony's has always been, and will continue to be the highest quality, the best tasting, the biggest selection, of any pizzeria anywhere in South Utica. Try to beat Tony's! You can't!!
My name is Steve terrier former food reviewer. This pizza was to die for …literally. Ma passed out walking in but luckily when I shoved a buttery garlic knot down her trachea it revived her. Midget behind the counter was seemingly nice and even took the effort out of his day to grab a ladder to grab my pizza for me …great customer service … I love this place !
My favorite Tony's ever! Super clean delicious and always fresh. Awesome lunch and dinner pastas. The wings are delicious. And pizza is always spot on! I highly reccomend. I use them for alot of my events we host and set up and everyone is always so happy.
Visiting family little leaguers playing next door. The game ran late so were pressed to find somewhere to feed hungry teens and family. Even though it was getting close to closing time, the staff happily filled a huge hodgepodge order and patiently allowed us to dine in, even though it was time to lockup. All food was hot, fresh, and tasty. No one was made to feel uncomfortable, and everyone went home, full. Thanks for a great experience. We'll be back again, soon
I have had Tony’s delivered a couple of times, and never had had a bad experience. They are awesome and nice when they deliver they do good and the food is delicious
Consistent great pizza!🍕🍕Also, have to note how impressed I was with the younger gentleman that cashed us out who was extremely personable, and genuinely communicated with the customers that came in. The staff here is consistently a happy, social team of people. Refreshing to see so kudos to you guys!👏
Tony's on Burrstone Rd. Has the best service, best wings ,cold subs, an pizza. Never had a problem on my items ordered. Delivery guy is super sweet. Now works counter but delivers from time 2 time. He is so great with customers always smiling always asks how u are... There place is super clean. Burrstone Rd.Tony's i will ALWAYS order my pizza, subs,an wings from them ..Best place in Utica N.Y.ppl.
Exceptional customer service and nice people.
I ordered a calzone online and it was one of the best I've ever had. Delivery was fast and the driver was very nice. Definitely would recommend ordering here. I will be for sure.
Today I ordered a Buffalo chicken Calzone with Mozzarella and Ricotta cheese (💋 to the chef) It was just right not too salty, not extra grease, just the right amount of Buffalo chicken ... 🦋💐 Thank you for my perfect lunch to Gillmore Village Computer Lab. Alex
Great pizzeria! I'm very familiar with Tony's Pizza! The Burrstone Road location is by far my favorite...plus their prices are cheaper than other Tony's! For the most part, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable! If you want good Italian food at reasonable prices...try Tony's on Burrstone Rd. in Utica!
literally best pizza in town...my favorite! the blue cheese is dynamite!
We love this pizzeria! By far our number 1 favorite in the area. Food, service, prices and atmosphere are all great!!
I'm from Fleming Island, fl and was in Utica for a baseball visit and we stopped in Tony's on the way to the airport. Had an awesome experience! The sub was fantastic and the pizza slices were the real deal NY style. I also liked the take home dinners in the refrigerator case as well. Cool idea. Hopefully if my son chooses Utica College, we will eat there on every visit!
Only stopped in to grab a slice, I'm not from around here but man was that slice good. Fast & friendly service as well. They seemed to be busy at that time, but they still took care of me like I was their only customer. 10/10
01/11/25 stopped bye after Comets Hockey game, close to closing but staff still made me a "delicious" Chicken Parm Hero for my late dinner.
I've been going to Tony's now for a couple years because of where I work. I get pickup and delivery. Once they forgot my bl cheese and I only called to let them know not to make a special trip but within 10 min they knocked. Very nice people work there. The food is always good!
The pizza was great, I paid for extra toppings & for the first time almost ever, a restaurant delivered a perfect pie. I took two ready made dinners to go too. We're truckers & when I find good food around the country I like to let ppl know. I heated them in the air fryer, really happy, good meals.
We ordered from here while on vacation and the FOOD WAS MARVELOUS! Serving sizes were huge and the calzones had a nice crispy crust on the outside that was just so good!! Highly recommended, and the delivery driver was personable and right on time.
My family and I ate here on a Sunday night and were blown away by the service, the helpfulness and eagerness for us to have a great meal and experience. The two "servers" behind the counter were so pleasant and accommodating. They went out of their way to give my son who is turning three a piece of brownie. The pizza was hot, cheesy and tasty. The salads were fresh, cold and bountiful. I would go back again and highly recommend it if you're in the area.
Best Tony's Pizza in the area!! If you want fresh pizza slices...come here!!! I know Tony's Pizza extremely well! No one knows Tony's like I do! I eat at this Tony's at least twice a week! Hands down the best Tony's around!! Great wings! Excellent subs and dinners! Most of all.... outstanding customer service here! Come check out Tony's on Burrstone Rd! You WILL be glad you did!
COME DOWN GET YOURSELF A SLICE OR TWO OR 3 :)
Excellent pizza if you're in the mood for thick crust🍕🍕🍕. Love the wings also, as well as their antipasto salad👍🏻
Excellent meatball sub and calzone. Couldn't be happier!
Anytime my wife asks what I want for a quick dinner, I immediately think of Tony’s in Yorkville!. Their pizza is excellent and the calzones are great, not only is the food amazing but Tony the delivery driver never fails to put a smile on my face. Excellent service. Excellent food, 10/10 for me.
Ordered a Calzone w/ sausage, peppers and onions. It was massive and I could only eat half. The service was great.
My wife ate chicken riggies and bread. I just had six meatballs with sauce. We both had Diet Pepsi. I didn't take pictures but my wife ordered a large cheese pizza some wings and a salad to take home. Everything was very good the only thing that I didn't care for was that the girl brought us our food to the table and didn't bring us anything to eat it with. There were no utensils available near The Fountain drink machine where the napkins are so we figured they would bring them to us, but my wife had to go to the counter and get utensils. Other than that the food was good
My son and I came in here yesterday afternoon/evening to pick up a pretty big order for my family. I can’t say enough good things about this place! I ordered here yesterday after deciding not to order from a place closer to me because of a very rude phone ordering experience. Everything was fantastic. From the pizza to the wings to the mozz sticks. By far the best in town. Everyone was beyond happy with their food. You guys are our new permanent spot because every part of the experience was great from the phone order, to the super polite service upon pick up, to the over all quality. All three kiddos say it’s the best pizza they’ve ever had. Thank you!!!
My father is staying at the nursing home across the street. We called for pickup. It was ready in 10 min. We had the salami and ham sub, which was very big and the bread so soft and fresh. The chicken Riggies and sausage bread were also really fresh and delicious. I live in NYC and eat out a lot. This was one of the best subs and sausage bread I've had!
If you're right in the area of their place stop by because they got great food and I do mean great there's service is outstanding you'll never wait to get served it's very clean they have everything you could want under a great Pizzeria Tony's rocks you'll never go wrong going there
The pizza is good for this area but not the best I ever had. The staff are friendly. They do deliver though I am not sure how far. Would go back again and recommend.
The food was good as usual. Just wish establishment would clean inside up a little more. Service was quick and friendly.
I would have gave him five stars but I've been going there for years and they have not once cut my pie right. When I asked the for sliced, I don't expect to open a box and get squares.
Pizza was very good. The only negative was the way they sliced my pie. They didn't slice it in your traditional 8 slice triangle. Seemed to be sliced ninja style ..great tasting pie, though
Delicious and consistent. Order is always ready on time
Tony's is certainly above average. It features a tight little seating area, so it's a bit of a challenge to maneuver around other customers. The fries were crisp and delicious. The large pepperoni pizza was good, not great. The cheese was layered mostly over the meat, which seems like a nice twist. The pizza was hard to eat without making a mess, as everything sort of slid off the crust, which was a tad doughy for me. As for flavor, the cheese and sauce performed quite well. The fries, pie and four drinks came to less than $33. Great value there.
Pizza was good the slices are a little expensive in my opinion. Most of the employees were pleasant and friendly. One in particular must have been having an awful day. His miserable mood was obvious and being expressed toward customers
What pizza place sells a calzone without mozzarella in it? Tony's on Burrstone Road that's who. Every pizza place I have ever ordered from forever, mozzarella is the base of the calzone and comes standard. I called them and asked them about this and the person said "everything you asked for was put in the calzone". Then I said " what if I wanted a plain calzone'? Just for the sake of common sense. Really amazing. Calzone = no mozzarella. Amazing. Done.
The staff is usually friendly and professional and the tables are almost always clean. I don't mean to nitpick but, pricing there is hard to understand. On top of being a little high. And to my experience, don't ask for a calzone. When I attempted to order one they seem to feel I should know how to make them. If I had known how to make them why would I then pay someone else to. I have a kitchen.
Normally love this place, however I do not like when you look at online website and see a large 2 topping plus 30 wings for $37, you call to order and they confirm the $37 (although apparently its $0.50 extra to split the wings into half hot half mild) and when you arrive they charge you $39.50 and say the prices have changed and they have no way to update it online. 1) don't have a website if you can not make changes, that seems crazy to me. 2) your employees should definitly know the prices if the rates went up and you can not update online. I mean this is $2.00 we are talking about but to me its unprofessional and bad business especially when I spend $40-$80 a week here.
I have eaten at Tony's my whole life! Once or twice a week, my father used to order order from Tony's grew upon it. I generally like the owner and the delivery guy, but the women that they have hired have the trashiest customer service lately they are rude. They are dumb. They don't listen to what you're saying, maybe they need a class and customer! I asked them to charge my card immediately. The woman that took my order, declined and said will charge it when we get off the phone. I asked to speak to the manager so I can check my order. They gave me a woman named Jessica who claimed she's the manager, but she's not the acting manager. Every single time that I call for a delivery order, there's an issue!!!! I'm disappointed in Tony's customer service. I'm disappointed in the women that they hired at the counter! I'm sick of having to debate with them whether they deliver me or not! And if I call and ask you what you charged me for I don't expect you to repeat the amount you charged me for when I'm asking you what product you charged me for! And I also don't appreciate being lied to. I asked to speak to a manager. That means I would like to speak to a manager. If he's not there, let me know. He's not there. Don't pretend to be a manager. I spent a lot of money here. I eat here once or twice a week, but the customer service is going downhill and I'm extremely disappointed and a little disgusted. Jessica in the little girl that took my order should be as ashamed.
So I was in town visiting my Mom who was in the hospital at the time. She recommended this place and said they have the best wings. Everything was ok as far as the food but it was the service for me. They completely forgot about me and I was sitting right in front of them the whole time.I was there for almost an hour for 3 slices and ten wings.
Bought chicken riggies and almost no sauce, some of the noodles were burnt from the oven, not to mention a kid size portion for almost $12. Hopefully this isn’t a regular occurrence here
I Bought some greens today and they were so salty and greasy that I couldn’t even eat them 🤬🤦♀️ I have had them from there before and they were delicious! But these were just awful 🤦♀️
Well every week we get Pizza and wings from Tony's, Sometimes we switch off, but we have been a great customer for over 15 years.Tonight your order was all wrong,I ordered one small pizza with half pepperoni and the other half with just cheese, than another small half with sausage and the other half with pepperoni and mushrooms.Tonight it was one small pizza the whole thing with pepperoni and half sausage and the other half with mushrooms. So we had too wait for them to make 2 new pizzas, with no discount for their error. That Not how you treated good customers. We are not very happy.I will posted this on Facebook too
I'm so confused. Just recieved the smallest calzone ever. I was even charged extra cause I guess cheese is not an automatic inclusion.... It's a blizzard ppl. Not like you have any where to go. Take your time on the food I'm paying hard earned money for. It's not like it's free.
I ordered a large cheese pizza with mushrooms, and we had to wait 25 minutes, which I didn't mind. When we went to go eat the pizza, the pizza looked so good and smelled amazing, but when we began eating it, the cheese had like no flavor what so ever. It was like eating a chewy piece of cardboard, the only thing the actually had flavor was the mushrooms and the dough. Another thing I noticed is that a worker there put a pizza out on the counter so customers can ask for a slice of pizza for themselves, and he took a small piece of cheese and ate it. I was utterly disgusted and shocked. I wouldn't eat here again.
Ive been ordering from tonys for a long time. This time I ordered it was bad I ordered 1 large pizza and 30 wings and when they brought my order to my house I sat the kids done to eat and as I finally started eatting I wasnt paying no mind I was talking with my husband and our daughter and I started eating the wings and somthing didnt seem right so I looked down and seen that the wings are bot done Ewww like really are you guys trying to get people sick I dont know how many I ate before Realizing that it was half raw Now I feel sick to my stomach
It's honestly a shame that their customer service skills are completely lacking, because their food is pretty good--when there isn't hair in it. The website is absolutely outdated, for who knows how long, and they don't honor the prices that they haven't fixed yet. The only answer they give you is "the owner didn't approve it," with no apologies, explanations, or any level of effort to reconcile the difference of a 30% price hike from what you're expecting. When there was hair in my food last time, and there was no reconciliation, I said I wasn't going to order from them again. Fast forward about a year, I gave them another shot, and therein lies the 30% price hike. Never again.
On our visit we had a very unpleasant customer service. We ordered the special of a large pizza and 30 wings and were told a 25 minutes wait. After waiting about 35 minutes to give them time to get the order ready we were told that they forgot to drop the wings in the fryer that it was a 20 min more wait we waited a total of about one hour for our food. Very disappointed at them.
Would give this place a good review BUT the inconsistency of what you are given while purchasing food from this restaurant is astounding. I have gotten good food and I have gotten really underwhelming food from this place, pizza is just ok put it up against any gas station slice and you’d probably have trouble picking. Subs might be good but might be awful. Wouldn’t recommend for the sole fact you might not get what you pay for.
I went to this restaurant two different times, the first one was pretty bad with a pizza. It tasted like a Pizza Hut pizza, but it made me sick. I figured I’d give it another shot. Second time I got a ham and cheese sub with extra meat and put extra meat on it. Two chances is enough for me.
4/3/24 update something has drastically changed here, this is the 3rd pizza I've received that the crust/ pizza dough is bad! It is uncooked, flat, doesn't rise like normal. I tried to brown in my oven and it just will not brown, it just gets hard but not brown. it completely ruins the pizza which used to be my favorite. The pepperoni sub & greens & beans were delicious. Tiramasu was awesome. Tonys what is going on with your pizza crust??? Even the sausage roll is no longer tasty. Something has definitely been changed. I hope they correct or I will find another pizza place. Love their pizza, they have the best tasting sausage of any pizza places locally. Meatballs are also delicious. Sausage roll worth the cost, very large. Greens & beans is usually very fresh & very tasty. I've had subs, as well. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is fish fry as it's frozen fish & not very good.. but overall this place has very good food.
I can't believe how rude everyone is🤔 i call at 9:00 to order for delivery and they are open till 11 and they told me straight up No we done with deliverys you want to pick it up?😤 Well obviously if I'm calling for delivery is because I can't pick it up and is not the first time I give up I won't ever call or stop there no more Tony's pizzeria in Burstone Rd.👎🏼
I was watching tv and just before I called there was a commercial for the Dump Meals Pressure Cooker. After waiting for almost two hours, getting cold food, and horrid customer service I knew I should've called that 1-800 number and go into the loving arms of that Dump Meals lady. She's bae and the real mvp, not Tony.
I called to have a pizza delivered.i just had back surgery and couldn't drive to pick it up they said it would b an hour.after waiting 2 hours I called them back.they told me the order was never written down.
Pizza is always drenched in grease, and the wings are the most flavorless, driest wings I've ever had.
I’m in hospital as a COVID patient. I ordered eggplant parm sandwich. Hardly any sauce or cheese. Tasted like a mush sandwich. I called they wanted to exchange for me but wanted sandwich back. What?! They want to bring in a COVID patients sub back in there store. Yup! Owner said they all wear gloves and masks.... unbelievable
Kinda sucks pretty bad
In all the years i have asked for a calzone, i never had to ask as one of a idem , Ricotta is a calzone ... and if you dont include then you should tell others.
Is there a way not to give a star?!?! I picked up a pizza tonite. The pizza had so much cheese and puddles of oil. The dough wasnt even cooked. It was so doughy. I dont know how the baker thought this would pass as a good eatable pizza. I not only threw out a pizza but threw money away too.
Rude. I ordered hot wings.when I got home there wasn't hardly any SAUSE I called and was told by the OWNER that how the do the wings THEY MEASURE THE SAUSE! SMH.
Tony's pizza has gone completely down hill and I will never go back nasty nasty dirty and old dirty equipment food serverd with extra crunch burt leftover from previous food
This place use to be one of my favorites but the quality of the food had dropped tremendously. I usually get the large 2 toppings and 30 wings. I recently bought it and the pizza seemed like they forgot to add sauce. The everything wings seemed like just barbacue also the pizza was under cooked. I am done with this place there are too many other options in our area
Good pizza if you don't mind a lack of sauce. I ordered 30 wings and threw them in the trash. They were all overcooked and hard to chew. The lemon pepper sauce is very oily and not very flavorful.
I called at 3:40 pm for a dinner, 2 slices of pizza, and a salad. The girl on the phone was rushed and a bit rude. She told me that our food would arrive no later than 1 hour. It was 5:12 when my food finally arrived. The salad was okay, but my 2 slices were cold and the dinner was cold. When I moved here from Syracuse three years ago this place was really good. Now... not so much. Sorry guys, you definitely need to step it up. Disappointed!
Ordered a small garlic, large cheese and 20 mild wings and 20 everything wings extra extra crispy. Got home and the wings had sauce to the top of the container falling out and there was so much sauce it made the wings soggy. The extra extra crispy can't be that way when you drench all the sauce into the box.
Call when you get out of work and you order just a simple pizza and they tell you to be there in 30 minutes and then you get there in 30 minutes and they sit in the window and look at you because they close 20 minutes early. Not only do they not go to the door I'm sorry I've been going there for years 15 minutes later I could talk to like I'm stupid like what a joke with this place is turned into
Pizza was cold and even after warming up was like chewing on an old salt flavored tire. Came about two hours after ordering on a Thursday. If you like rubber and salt then this is the place to go. This place not bussin fr fr ngl
The Lasgna was burnt on one half and seemingly undercooked on the other. Not to mention when they reheated it in their oven, it was still fridge-cold in several places. Furthermore, their ground meat was loaded with chewy bits that I couldn't get down. Absolutely the worst Lasgna I've had. My significant other also pointed out the chips that she got were seriously passed their expiration date. We've tried this place twice together and ordered different things each time. We have concluded: 1. The reheated dinners and sandwiches aren't good, although we never tried the pizza after our first two bad experiences. 2. The ordering process is confusing and we had no way to know if/when our order would be done. In fact, one time I saw what appeared to be our sandwich, sitting done, behind the counter for almost 20 minutes, while people who ordered slices zipped in and out ahead of us. From what I could tell, it turned out the person who made the sandwich was waiting for Lasgna to come out of the oven, and nobody had ever put the Lasgna in the oven... 3. Nobody cares if you are satisfied. We sat in the restaurant to eat our food. Neither of us could finish the food and we threw it out knowing it was not going to be any better leftover. As we left it had quieted down, and out of 4 people behind the counter, nobody said a word to us. I hate leaving scathing reviews, but there are literally pizza shops and Italian / American restaurants on every block and I can't for the life of me understand how this one could be soo bad. The only reason I fell for this place twice is because it is right on my drive to/from work.
I received the pizza it was so oily and sloppy couldn’t even pick up a slice yo messy and was cut just any ol way tonys plz get it together come on now
Absolutely horrendous food today. Went for years few times a week. Had few bad experiences couple years ago so took a break. Ordered there special today large 2 topping with 30 wings, and grabbed couple slices also when picking up. Ordered the pizza with sausage and pepperoni and it wasn’t cooked long enough, ok to eat but not there usual product. The wings absolutely horrendous!! Ordered 30 crispy everything wings. Received 30 soggy, undercooked wings with bottom covered in greasy butter. Allen when I got home and young female hung up on me when I called. $60 that went straight to garbage can. can.
Horrible experience every time I’ve been there. One time I had a long strand of hair in the pizza, and when I called them back, the manager didn’t even speak with me directly to say that I had to bring the pizza back with the hair intact to prove it. Another time, when enough time had passed to where I can give them another chance, I ordered the daily special as advertised on their site. When I called to place the order, no problem. When I went to pick it up, I was told by an employee that the advertised price for my order wasn’t “approved” by the manager, and that my total was $15 more than the advertised price. Never going again.
Just ordered a small turkey with everything. They sure mean a small, no question about that. I think it was a 4 inch with barely any meat on it. They should be ashamed of themselves. Subway gives you more on a 6 inch and they basically weigh their product. The pizza was super greasy as well. I would avoid this place, it seems to have gone down hill. Response; I can guarantee you this is the correct location and that small definitely was not 8 inches and had barely anything on it. Maybe you should have more quality control with your employees making the food? I wish I took a picture. Your subs used to be great, a small was comparable to Venice. This isn't the case anymore apparently.
I had a very unpleasant experience on the phone today. The person who answered was rude and dismissive, which is not the level of customer service I expected. I hope this is addressed moving forward.
Pizza was over priced NOT authentic nyc style pizza and got the order wrong. Not what we wanted ordered or were looking forward to.
I am not one to complain, I always order from here, l love Tony’s however today I did the special 2 lg cheese pizzas for 22.00, I have to say, very disappointed, the pizza is hard as a rock the cheese is burnt and hardly any on them, extremely greasy, looks like we won’t be doing anymore Tuesday specials, there’s a whole pizza and a half left the rest is in garbage, I have NEVER been disappointed here, but today was really bad, how do you mess up two, anyway I’ll probably drop off the pizza to one of the many homeless ones standing at the corners!!!
This place fell off. Don't know if it is new owner or what... but I will skip this place for anything. Even bathroom use. A 3 hour wait for a bad pizza, that was cold and wet is not worth the price for the box. Do better!
I'm not one to complain however, stopped in and picked up two fish frys tonight 3/22/24. What I received in no way resembled a fish fry. Instead of being breaded and lightly fried, it was in a batter that formed a hard shell around the entire piece of fish. Honestly it wasn't enjoyable at all and the 2lbs of French fries (not exaggerating) didn't make up for non edible fish. I apologize for being blunt but I will not be a repeat customer.
I ordered a fish fry with French fries and the fish was very over done qnd very brown and not fresh and flaky at all. Had to wait in line for a while b4 I was waited on and very unhappy with the way the fish fry was done and not very appealing and the fries were overdone. And had to wait awhile for my fish fry. This was my fish fry I got.😞😞😞😞😞😞
