Denny's is an American staple. It's a family friendly environment with great food for great prices. As always Denny's never fails to impress.

I’ve always loved Denny’s- it’s such a great place to grab breakfast early in the morning... or anytime! I’ve been eating at Denny’s all my life and my Dad started going to Denny’s way back in the 60’s in California. This site was great; the staff were nice, our order was perfect and as always- the diner environment made this visit so enjoyable. I’m happy that I can take my son to Denny’s and someday my grandchildren too. Denny’s will always be my ‘old chomping grounds’ A+ 👍🏼

My server here was phenomenal! The food was like, Denny's food. The five stars is for my waitress- she was attentive, efficient, and overall provided excellent service! If you're in Utica and want some grand slam food and service, this is the place for sure!

My family and I came in here around 10pm and there was a wait BUT there was literally only 3 people working - a lady cooking in the back and a girl server and a guy server. The two servers were awesome. They were very kind and attentive to not just us but everyone in the restaurant and it was pretty busy and they both kept their cool the entire time. Super professional! The lady cooking was great the food came out really fast and the food was excellent! I know the holidays are rough but the team of 3 that were working tonight (12/15/2024) really deserve a raise and if that's not possible tell them thank you for everything they do! Great experience. The restaurant and bathrooms were also very neat and clean!

Well there seemed to be some confusion with the waitress's as to whom was serving our table. I say this because 3 of them (at different times) walked over & offered to take our drink order. So I will say the waitress's was great & very attentive. Haven't been here in awhile. The remodel looks nice. However, ladies bathroom is still freezing during the winter months, so that hasn't changed at all. Lol. Idk, how the men's room is for temperature, as my husband is always hot, he runs around all winter in a flannel shirt & a hoodie in negative degree weather. Cute, Rudolph cups for Christmas with removable ears and red nose that kids can wear & play with.

Amazing! We were seated promptly and had the best server, Jessie. She made us feel at home and gave us the best suggestions on what to order as well as offered her special mango strawberry blend lemonade. We highly recommend coming to the Utica location. Wish we lived local we would be regulars.

Our server, Jamie(sorry if I got the spelling wrong) handled our group of 10 no problem, and one of our group was a toddler. The kitchen staff had everything out hot and timely as ordered. Jamie came by to check on us a couple of times and yet another lady came by to top off coffees. She was super careful around the little guy so as not to risk a spill. Have to give this place extra gratitude for the service.

Omg! Can I say gourmet breakfast with a twist?! Mouthwatering and groundbreaking food choices. I got the grand slammich for my birthday celebration with cinnamon roll pancakes, my niece got fruit flavored pancakes. The waitress was very cute, attentive, friendly and had such a heartwarming smile that lit up the whole dining room. Five minutes, two entrees and pancakes was delivered out to us. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Now I see why many of the overnight drinkers stop here after midnight for breakfast, sometimes even more late. The slammich was toasted to perfection, with a crunchy and buttery bread, filled with scrambled eggs, ham, and melted swiss cheese, the home fries were crispy, unburned, and had multiple different peppers mixed in with it. The cinnamon roll pancakes were crispy, very sweet, and taste just like the famous cereal growing up. I even finished my nieces plates afterwards. Highly impressive birthday breakfast with my dear niece this morning at one of America's most highly acclaimed, and popular restaurant chain. 🥞

I want to personally thank the workers and management at this particular Denny's my mother and I went here for a family celebration. The visit was truly exceptional I ordered an eggs over my hammy with sixteen overeasy eggs À la carte. My mothers order was hand delivered by the chef she was so happy with her order that she died right then and there. This Dennys is the best! I loved going to the Herkimer Dennys. I believe that the Herkimer Dennys helps people on the Thruway and people that are local to go before or after grocery shopping to go and have what they want for food. Typically I come to this Denny's as a washer picking up orders, but the other day I stopped in for a bite. Service was friendly and prompt. My pot roast sandwich was tender and filling. Amd the servers, Courtney and Cheyanne, were fantastic hosts! I look forward to eating there again.

My wife had a burger and Fries off the 2/4/6/8 Meal menu. I had the chicken fried steak with a double order of redskin potatoes, country gravy and dinner toast from the 55 plus year old menu. The staff were very polite. A staff member asked if everything was OK and thanked us for coming in.

When going to a Denny’s it’s always hit or miss it seems. This particular one was a hit!!! Clean, fast service, good diner food. What really made the experience 5 stars was the attentive, friendly service with a smile from our awesome server Jessie. She was an absolute pleasure even though she was working on Memorial Day. I tipped her more than the highest amount on card reader. Let’s get this girl a record of high tips for her awesome service if you get her!! I had the brisket Mac and cheese skillet and my husband had a brisket sandwich. Desert apple caramel something. All very tasty. I was expecting a bit more Mac n cheese on the skillet though.

I was alone so I sat at the counter for both visits. I was welcomed as soon as I entered. Both Ladies who were working at the time were very polite and pleasant. I wish I knew there names so I can post them. Got my food I ordered both days promptly and the orders were correct. If it helps I was there at approximately 9:30-10am both days. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely go back

I had had a very long day, a there wasn't much open. So I had no choice really,but to go to Dennys. A consistent chain food restaurant. Its inexpensive and, I have to day the service was very very good. My waiter was smiling, and attentive.

Open 24/7, this is a great place to get a meal, but be sure to arrive hungry! Free coffee refills, very large portions!

I will say it's very very clear that there's a staffing problem at this location. Now I had a big problem last time, and I went back recently, and they were good enough to replace the food that was wrong the previous time. I appreciate the good customer service. I have never had a issue with the food (other than the bacon being slightly overdone once), the wait time can be excessive sometimes, but again I think that goes back to the staffing issue rather than a lack of service. Hope the owners work on that! All in all I would recommend.

Easy access off HWY 90. Plenty of parking. They have several healthy choices for those watching their diet. I enjoyed the Alaska Salmon. They also have a Veggie omelette!

Would love to give 5 stars, but our greeting was unpleasant. We had an 8 top, and I understand that can be frustrating, but the nasty comment of the old woman "server" upon our entry wasn't needed. Our younger and apologetic server was FANTASTIC and more than made up for the old bag that had a nasty attitude. I won't return solely on the attitude of the woman who felt the need to be rude when we entered. The food was good, and the service following ugly entrance was phenomenal.

Update: we were to meet friends here that we haven't seen in a bit or we pry wouldn't have stopped here because our last time was regrettable ! But they do have a new menu and everything was decent except for the mashed potatoes mashed with water and were very watery and bland unable to drink them! Very excellent service from Ingrid our server !!! Increased stars but I'm thinking it may be a hit or miss with no consistency on food or anything else 🤔 We stopped for a quick bite and to see if in person was better than delivered waitress was very nice but no refills offered on my husband's early empty glass. The robot server delivered our boneless wings with dirty plates and no celery that the menu states come with it the robot was cute but lacks the personal touch were you can request something more or less the boneless wings were ok 9 nuggets that equal less than half of a chicken breast the amount of food their menu shows is triple what they serve. I had 1 very thin hashbrown chip it was very interesting (I would have preferred real hashbrowns that were ordered) not a chip ! The omelet was not even close to what the menu showed or stated no American cheese so the mile high Denver omlet turned out to be 1/4 inch disappointment ! My husband's double cheese burger and 8 fries was also a disappointment his burgers were very thin appeared spatula spread thin with lace holes in the burgers to spread them to fit a bun. If you go here don't expect to get what you ordered or the way or amount it shows on their menu or how the menu states it is. Expect to get whatever you get their way and don't expect refills on drinks. And don't expect to get to full !!! (Doordash delivery) we paid extra for the onion rings as a side and received a whole 4 onion rings and the hashbrowns was a very small portion too and only cooked 0n one side very chewy the hamburg fried was good it definitely wasn't chicken fried steak misleading menu (no steak it was hamburg) nachos was a small portion for a shared appetizer but was good for what there was And the strawberry pancake balls were good they could have used some strawberries to make them moist they are on the dry side. Not sure if we will ever do a take out order from here again.

Our waitress Jamie was great the few times we have stopped! Very friendly and kind. A team player, helping out other staff members when its needed. However the hostess/cashier Heaven was not good. She did not greet us, nor did she stop putting utensils together to seat us, even after looking at us. Then she would dissappear and not.help any other staff members. It was a shame to see the blatant disregard for her coworkers.

Every other time we've been here was amazing but this time it wasn't. The cook they had working that day was constantly on her phone, food was over cooked, boneless wings were so hard you couldn't eat them. We were the 4th customer that day to complain about the food. Won't go back if same cook is there working.

My husband I went there really early one morning to get breakfast before work. The 2 waitresses that were on duty were outside smoking, I don't really care about that, but when I walked in, the place was FILTHY. If you're going to have a cigarette break, at least make sure your work is done first. The service was terribly slow and my food wasn't made right. It was 20 minutes before she came to our table again, actually before we even saw her back in the dining room. We were the only customers in there. About 2 months later, last week, we decided to go there again, this time we had a wonderful waitress, she was very attentive. The issue however were the other waitresses that were behind the counter loudly complaining about their cowerkers.

Haven't been there in years and decided to stop in and get breakfast for dinner for me and my family and I hate to say it but I'm so disappointed 😞. My French toast was so burnt and tasted like burnt bread ughh. The girl that took my order was nice though.

I was visiting Utica for an event that didn't get over until late. I wanted something to eat before I went home. Denny's was the only thing open. My family and I went inside and they had the air conditioning so high that my family stayed in the car while I ate. My server was very friendly! So I ordered a cheese omelette from the 55 plus menu. Which came with hash browns. When my order came it was a peper and onion omelette, which I hate peppers and onions, and the hash browns were burned! I was so hungry that I ate it and never said anything! The people who came in after me had eggs and hash browns which looked so good! I know the waiter didn't cook the food but he should have never given me that order! I blame the cooker and the server! If I'm ever in Utica again I will never go there again!

This was a negative experience. Service was below standard. There was one couple seated and eating.We stood for almost 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Finally, from across the dining area, I gestured to the server to get her attention. As she turned towards my direction our eyes met and I proceeded to speak only loud enough so she could hear me say, " I'm just going to go ahead and seat the two of us. With a nod and verbal reply of, "That's fine honeys." Wasn't too long of a wait for menus to be brought and our beverage orders to be taken. Server was cordial. I made reference to a sign posted on front glass entry door. It was explaining that due to shortages that all items may not be available. So my question of course was what don't you have? We were informed that as far as our server was concerned they had everything. However, oddly enough, when I began to order a salad I was informed by my server, that the lettuce was so bad that she would not allow it on the line to be served. So much for having everything. Shut down right off the rip on the funky lettuce 🥬. We placed our order. My boneless buffalo chicken wings were overcooked, soggy fries, ordered an orange juice never received it, and was charged for it. Our bill seemed too high for so little. So yes, poor value. I still tipped around 15% and paid for the orange juice I did not get. The bright side to this was the robotic server they have that actually brings your order to the table.

I was really discussed with the women bathroom, it was so filthy it grossed me out. It took an hour to get my food and they forgot the pancakes so it took 10 more minutes for them while the food was already cold. I was served one cup of coffee and another cup 30 minutes later. The scrambled eggs were so runny it turned my stomach and the waitress was not attractive at all. For a simple brakefast it took an hour to be serve and it was cold. Never again!!

Went there last night with friends party of 4 to start our server sat us at our table didn’t even give us a chance to sit down or take our coats off and wanted to take our drink order , then not even 3 minutes later asked if we were ready to order our food felt like we was being rushed , food came out my toast was like a brick I asked for light toast very few hash browns omelette was wrong no mushrooms no cheese , told our server what was wrong never took my plate to refute it just brought out sautéed mushrooms now my food is cold , proceeded to watch this cook never change his gloves between orders at one point touched his face with gloved hands proceeded to plate peoples food , very poor standards, then our bill was messed up , manager never came over to our table to check on us , service very poor, food bland

Let me just say I am the same one with the ranch soup review. Let me tell u your waitress Jamie deserves a raise! That women was running training and in the kitchen! What a saint! I understand new staff no doubt that’s it’s hard but blackened French fries twice in a row poor waitress had to get two things of fries for the same result. And my chicken salad came with I’d say a small tenderloin of chicken waitress got me more but once agian was completely burnt. I had faith the food would have been better but when i was underly disappointed. If you ordered seasoned fries ask for white seasoned fries!

Never will go here again. Our waitress was still training but giving the customers their check before they get their food very rude. Traveling and their website says they are open and when we get there it's closed.

Place was practically empty and I waited over thirty minutes to get seated. I was alone and could of sat at the empty bar or I could of ate standing up at that point I was so hungry. Recommend not wasting money here

We waited over 30 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. No one ever said I'll be with you in a few, nothing. We gave up and walked out. They weren't even busy, and my son (13) and I were dressed nicely just having left an event. It was like 4pm 3 tables with customers and I saw 4 wait staff.

Do not eat here if you are Asian. We stopped here on a slow night and did not even get acknowledged for several minutes. I know it's a lofty accusation, but it was strange when the waitress walked by several times, continuously ignoring us. Only after we forced her to stop, she curtly said "Just a minute". It was not busy, and she was just wiping tables. Perhaps a simple, " we don't serve your kind." Would have at least been more direct. We ended up having a great dinner at Babe's down the street. Very family friendly!

The only reason I gave 5 stars for service is that one of the waitresses went out of her way for me on two occasions and was very kind and friendly. The rest of the staff needs a lot of improvement!!!! Don't get upset when people are seating themselves after no one has attended to them!!! Also do t start fights with the cook in front of customers!!! It's not professional or appropriate! No one wants to view that while they are eating. I know to go orders can be overwhelming anywhere nowadays but let's not forget customers who are waiting inside for food. I was ready to leave, and my eggs ( only eggs) finally arrived.

Slow to be sat, slow to come to the table to take our order, when we sat down there were only 4 other tables ,didn’t have the chicken noodle soup that they are supposed to have Fri, Sat, and Sun, didn’t have the drink we wanted, ordered HOT chocolate that was luke warm, didn’t have salmon, when asked for the bill for our drinks that was the fastest we saw our waitress move. Worst Dennys experience we have ever had.

I understand emergencies happen and staffing may not be perfect, but we stood at the hostess stand for 5 minutes without being greeted or looked at as staff walked by. Once the manager did acknowledge us we didn't get a hello, only the question of how many. Once seated we were acknowledged by the waitress after another 5 minutes or so, but not at our table and she didn't come back after several minutes. When another customer had to get up to find the manager for service, we left. Greeting customers, setting expectations, and checking up are even more important when the restaurant is busy.

I got a ham and cheese omelette and there wasn't any cheese in the omelette. I went there today for lunch and all I got was cheese sticks and they weren't very hot and fresh at all and the ranch dressing wasn't cold at all and neither was the BBQ sauce I got to dip them in either and was very warm. They were very busy when I went and not enough people working at all when it came to cooks cashiers waitresses and all. Had to wait in line 20 minutes before getting seated amd another 25 minutes to get our food too. They were doing 3verybodys assigned job and then some. Today I got the red white and blue pancakes with eggs and the eggs were not hot at all and the pancakes weren't hot either. The service was horrible and outrageous over priced and not eating there ever again.

Service was very slow, customers waited at least an hour before they received any food. A few tables got up and left. Also utensils weren’t very clean

My wife my daughter and myself stopped in for a bite before a 2 hour ride home .Our waitress was horrendous, very rude brought out our food and then we never saw her again until she brought the bill. Our food was clearly cooked in very old over used grease. My daughter ordered chicken tenders that were extremely dry , my wife had the country fried chicken and both had very watery mashed potatoes. I had the pollack fish dinner the fish was so greasy that when I pressed my fork on it you could see the grease drip out . While we sat there one of the other servers Wendy was at the end of the counter talking ( very loudly ) to another worker/ customer using language not appropriate for a family environment. Extremely disappointed in this place .

Not clean at all, the place was filthy. The bathroom was so dirty the toilets were filthy with flies. Took very long for us to be served 2 kids meals only!! The one burger was soggy and not even prepared like it was described. The manager refused to give us free kids after 4 because we walked in the door 5 mins before 4 .. we ordered after 4 and got our food after 4 ! That’s wasn’t even a big deal. But I had to wait for a box because there was one worker doing everything. The manager refused to help her. And wouldn’t give me a box. I wanted 15 more mins and told her I didn’t even want the food. I was trying to be nice. But my daughter didn’t even like it. It was very sloppy and was gross. Refused to do anything and was beyond rude. Should be ashamed to call herself a manager. I can go on and on. I can see why the parking lot was empty.

Waited 45 minutes, had to ask for food, when served no toast, no jelly , hash browns appeared to be what was left on the grill to long hard as a rock, was told while checking out that if you don’t ask for jelly you will not get any, told us that they were short staffed and made it sound like it was our problem . Never came back to the table after ( part of the food was delivered. And by the way the server’s name ( and I say that lightly because she is no good at the job) said her name was Mary. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE . She has no business working with , or trying to resolve problems.

Terrible service! At around 4:00, I placed an online order for two turkey dinners, a side salad with no cheese, and an apple crisp. The estimated pick up time was quoted for 4:30. Upon arrival, I had to wait another 30 minutes for the food to be ready. After receiving the order and returning to my hotel room, I discovered that I was missing both the cranberries and stuffing from both dinners, along with a side of macaroni and cheese. They also put cheese on the salad. When I called, I wanted the order to be corrected with additional compensation for the poor service and waste of my time and energy. They said that if I brought the food back, they could remake the whole order for “free” and that would be my compensation or I could return the food and take a refund of my money. I opted for the refund of the money. When arriving for the refund, I was then told they “couldn’t” refund the gratuity. So in the end, I tipped them $12 in exchange for two trips, 90 minutes wasted, and no dinner. I’m very dissatisfied.

We checked hours repeatedly to see if they're open and its hours say 11pm ... we drive there and this place is randomly closed on more than one occasion.

They deserve 0 stars!! The restaurant wasn't even half full and we waited TWO hours for our order, which was pre cooked (charred bacon) and eggs. The staff was rude. Called to complain, and spoke with a "manager" that needs training, and perhaps a little more education. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!! McDonald's is just across the street!!

1st the floors were sticky and slick. Then when I walked across the rug my shoes stuck to the rug. Which caused me to stumble. 4 of us were commenting and laughing how u can pick up the rug with our shoes. But honestly thats just gross. I sent my eyes back ones. Wish I'd sent the pancakes back with them. Neither cooked. Pancakes didn't even have time to rise the inside was batter.

Store didn’t close for another hour. before even walking in the employee told us to go away didn’t catch name because wouldn’t let us inside but lady with glasses still an hour left and won’t serve customers some restaurant would definitely recommend better options and not wasting your time here

3 customers in whole place and our food sit on counter for 20min before we were served. Fries were burnt. Server didn't pay no attention to us. We had to go up to the register to get our check. Small French toast meal and triple burger was $50 I'm sure one meal was only 10 on menu. Won't be going back.

Sat there for 45 minutes. No food came out. Kitchen window was loaded with plates of food, yet no one in the restaurant had food on their table nearly the entire time. We were one of three tables that walked out. It’s also extremely dirty. All pages of my menu were covered in chocolate milk.

Worst Dennys ever went to, food was burnt and what wasn’t burnt had no flavor and was greasy. Staff was proud and happy to serve burnt food as good food, there’s no way they couldn’t see that they were serving us burnt greasy food. Wanted to tell them but it was already a long wait for meal In an empty restaurant and nobody could be found or seen to have it replaced in a timely manner and as stated they should’ve never brought it out to us knowing it was burnt

Absolute worst Denny’s I have ever been to. Been at this restaurant for over an hour (as I type this) and most of this time has been spent waiting on the wait staff here! I first got seated with a menu and I kid you not, it was almost 20 minutes before the waitress came over to take my order. She then quickly brought over my drink and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. However, it’s been over 25 minutes since my food has come and two more tables have been sat, but I haven’t seen a waitress in the dining room… I’ve been out of a drink for the last 15 minutes. No one has come to check how the food has come out either. This location doesn’t even deserve a single star.

3/4 of the restaurant was empty. I stood waiting to be seated for almost 20 minutes before I finally decided to walk out. I and many others had walked out and many others after me walked out there was maybe four or five booths being used out of everything in the building. If I could get a blessing one star I would. would not recommend.

It took 20 minutes to get our drink order and then another hour for our food to come. The food was a little more than room temperature and subpar at best. Then when it came time to pay it took another 15 minutes for the bill to get to me. I was very disappointed and would suggest the owner of this dennys does a surprise visit.

We waited twenty minutes for our food to be ready, and upon its arrival, we found that our order was incomplete. The cook appeared unconcerned when the waitress informed him of the issue. The cook placed the blame solely on the new waitress. The waitress apologized for the inconvenience. It is essential for the cook to be knowledgeable about the menu. The manager rectified the situation by reducing our bill. Nevertheless, the manager should have also addressed the issue with the cook. Our waitress received a minimal tip.

Everytime I order from this place on door dash they either don’t send the stuff that’s supposed to come with it or add the whole damn bottle of ranch to ur salad. Always something messed up. No matter who’s working. And btw the chocolate pancakes with banana never comes with the damn bananas. Below is the side salad with ranch. It’s not a salad anymore it’s now considered ranch soup.
