Beautiful restaurant close to the College and Uvalde Memorial Hospital. Great food, great ambiance with a great view. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The Triple Double Burger was worth the trip, my wife enjoyed her Cavatappi Inferno Pasta, and the loaded nachos were awesome. Chef Richard Castle is very welcoming and well mannered. The restaurant has definitely changed since the last time I was there. This visit was a pleasant change. Will be visiting more often. Great job!

On a road trip to Garner State Park and desperately needed a car charger. Thankfully we found this cafe! What cool place to view airplanes, learn a bit of WW2 aviation history, and eat some great food. I highly recommend to anyone that visits Uvalde.

Came to eat, but got lucky and we were able to tour hanger next door. Now, Chicken Fried Steak with Jalapeño gravy, Bacon Cream Corn, Slaw, and Brewster Buffalo Sandwich were absolutely great! Great staff, too.

This diner is phenomenal. We landed here after a flight from Addison and discovered this wonderful restaurant on airport property. There was a small crowd playing soccer, and a decent amount of other clientele hanging out. We went in and the decorations were great. The menu was extensive and interesting with a ton of options. Unfortunately, i do not have any photos of the food because it was just that good. If you ever find yourself in Uvalde definitely check it out!

Our second visit to Hanger 6. We ordered the chicken BLT and Buffalo chicken sandwiches. They were delish! We also ordered chicken tenders and they were way better than most. Previously we had dinner there in April. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at night. It was movie night on the lawn played on a very large screen TV. They had live music as well. All this set behind hangers and private planes lining the tarmac. Great fun!

The staff was very friendly, and the food was very good. But you can't beat the setting, the restaurant is on an air field, planes and helicopters leaving and landing. The restaurant is build like it was from the 1940s-1950s war era. I came for lumch, would love to enjoy a dinner and a sunset here.

My girlfriend got shrimp tacos and loved them. Her kids got chicken tenders and hamburger both we very happy with their choice. I got a ribeye. Our food was amazing for the price. We can when they were slow and are amazed that this place wasn't packed. A hidden gem in uvalde cousine. Hands down 5 star id given them six if i could cause our server Carson made sure we had a stellar experience!!!

This is a fun restaurant in an historic setting, and their menu gives the history. We enjoyed our food and the service was top notch. I had the VooDoo shrimp salad and my husband had the club sandwich with coleslaw. We had an order of French fries. The fries were excellent. We would recommend all of the dishes we had. There is wine and beer available. Diner-style decor.

Hangar 6 offers a unique dining experience with a great ambiance and the exciting opportunity to watch airplanes as you enjoy your meal. The atmosphere was definitely a highlight. I ordered a burger, which tasted good and was cooked well. However, about two hours after eating, I had terrible stomach pain, which was quite disappointing. While the setting and the food were enjoyable at the moment, the after-effects left me hesitant to return.

I really wanted to like this place. The look of the restaurant is awesome, there are little details like propeller blades on the ceiling fans, and tasteful plane mural and wall art, all following the airplane hanger theme. And the service was great - we were promptly greeted, and our server was attentive and helpful. Everyone we encountered was friendly. But the food was not good. The menu had detailed information on the history of the airport, offering great nostalgia. But the menu, as far as food, is pretty sparse. Not much offered past burgers and sandwiches. For a café I would expect some soups, breakfast items, and coffee (which is on the menu but the server said the coffee maker had been "broken forever"). My partner ordered the Spitfire, their take on a patty melt burger, and I ordered the Mile High Club, their turkey club sandwich. It might have been good if it made it to our table hot, but that was not the case. I think they made the food immediately except for the burger. Fifteen minutes or so after we watched our server put our order in, the food came to the table barely warm; the fries on both plates were dead cold and my toast had gone soggy, yet the burger was hot. It was alright, but not good. The quality of ingredients were there. I think if it was made with better timing it would've been great. It was affordable but not satisfying. They need to match the food with the level of service and look of the place and they will have a winning restaurant. With a lack of good diners and cafes that serve standard American cuisine, I admit I will probably try it again after some time passes.

Took Clients for lunch after the new opening. It used to be good but the food was pretty bad. Lemon Pepper Chicken wings were too salty to eat. Burgers are half the size they were before and they changed the burger menu. Fries were good. My clients ordered steak fingers. They were dry and overcooked. Highly disappointed and wont return, especially not with clients. They are only quarter as good as before. Bill for one burger, two steak finger baskets and one order of chicken wings starter was over $100.
