We had a great room, with a big balcony! Beautiful location. Lots of good food for dinner, friendly staff, good price for what we got, small breakfast but it was enough to give us energy for the GTA hike. We enjoyed it lots.

A rustic mountain trattoria with a set menu, starting with an appetizer of mixed cured meats and tomino cheese, followed by agnolotti with tomato sauce, and ending with polenta, available either concia (cured) or plain, served with stewed meat and mouth-watering sausage. Fruit or tart to finish. Water, cover charge, and house wine by the glass are €18! The place is attractive for its enchanting location, but it's the trattoria that makes you come back! I emphasize "trattoria," not "restaurant"—the chefs have been warned.

Everything is beautiful and characteristic. The owners are very kind and welcoming, the food is delicious and very abundant, only a note for the bathroom which is not heated and not very fragrant. For the rest, ok, there is plenty of parking and the surrounding landscape is beautiful because it allows for walks in nature. Recommended!

A nice place to stop for lunch. On Sundays, the fixed price is €18 per person. The food is decent but not exceptional, and not locally sourced. Try the polenta concia. We recommend arriving hungry, perhaps after a long walk in the surrounding area. Parking is very difficult, especially on Sundays.

Trovo scandaloso che non si accettino carte di credito e bancomat….e le giustificazioni siano quelle degli anni ‘80. Sono 3/4 volte che raggiungo Fondo per escursioni, o come tappa in bicicletta e non avendo contati debbo rinunciare a bere qualcosa di rinfrescante. Poi magari la proprietà si lamenta perché lavora poco….

Characteristic location typical of a mountain village, managers not very talkative and absolutely unwilling to allow dogs inside (something completely absurd), in any case the lunch completely in line with expectations, nothing else needs to be added.

Endless waits for a sandwich, disorganized service, plus you can't pay with a debit card because they say there's no connection... too bad that 20 meters before the bridge there's a stand selling honey and homemade biscuits and the debit card works perfectly.

Low-quality food. Poor appetizers, with clearly industrial salami and thick-cut lard, consisting only of fat. The agnolotti seem to have been bought straight from the supermarket. The polenta isn't bad, but nothing special. The service is terrible in every way: lack of courtesy, zero friendliness, and lack of professionalism. Furthermore—and this, for me, would be enough to justify a star even if it were a Michelin-starred restaurant—in 2025, you can't pay by card "due to technical problems." Too bad, as it happens, there's internet at the table near the window... We can imagine the real reason. If you want to walk there, be aware that the road is closed: it's better to take the shuttle or, better yet, go to the restaurant just after the Locanda Madonna della Neve. True, you only spend €20 per person here (drinks not included), but the reason is obvious... and unfortunately, it's clearly visible (and audible).

We were on our GTA trip and had to stay at this place. I recommend this place if you like canned food, broken beds and cuddle with rather large and black spiders.
