Dinks Deli & Bagel Bakery

Dinks Deli's is under new management has only few months, yet new owner Sid has quickly risen through the ranks to operate Valencia best new bagel shop. Valencia Trail Race Marathon has ordered 12 dozen bagels, 50 sandwiches and bake potatoes to pick up at 4 am, chefs are great. Service is awesome and bagels are fresh. This is a traditional boiled bagel and these guys offer it with everything imaginable. They also have a terrific off menu option with crisp fresh selections for big events. Order with confidence.!

The service at this location has gotten a complete overhaul. The staff was welcoming, friendly and professional. The breakfast items came out of the kitchen quickly and served immediately. Whatever process they've recently put into place is WORKING!!! Thank you for a great breakfast experience.

I had an onion Baily breakfast sandwich. I choose the veteran and made substitutions because #allerygirl can't eat eggs. I subbed out eggs for tomatoes and avocado 🥑 for bacon. It was full of grilled spinach and only onions. I added cheddar cheese and it was excellent. I guess I sort of made my own sammy! Lots of outdoor seating.

Lived 37 years in Valencia and this was my first time buying Dink's bagels. My loss! Huge bagels. Best lightly toasted to contrast the crunch outside with the chewy insides. I had the raisin bagel and it was one of the tastiest I've had in a long time. Lots of free parking. Easy access.

I just happened to notice Dinks as I was stopped at the light, and decided to drop in. The place was very busy even through I thought I wasn't there during a peak hour. I was there around 10:45 am on a weekday. I went in for one bagel, and walked out with a dozen, and cream cheese, and then noticed that they make bagel sandwiches with a bagel of choice with cold cut of your choice, and all of the fixings. I will definitely be going back to get one. I was surprised to see that they only had a minimum amount of bagels at the time, and only had those for sale to choose from. I got the last 6 cheese,3 onion, and 3 sourdough, almost completely wiping out what they had left. And the line was a little long in front of me, and behind me. They have a huge menu, I really didn't get a chance to look over it, cause I didn't want to be in the way of those waiting behind me.

I wish I took a picture but I ate it too fast! Literally the best jalapeño cheese bagel ever! Fresh bits on jalapeño on top of the bagel so there’s a little bit of heat in every bite. The bagel sandwiches are big. I could have split it with my spouse and it would have been enough. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

Really like Dinks. It's calm but busy, fun to watch them make bagels behind the big glass wall of the kitchen open to the dining area. It's simple and not overly designed to appear as a chain. Love it here.

Nice, smaller deli with seating for 20 - 30 people. Shared a turkey club with wife and we both really liked it. Fries were good as well. Daughter and granddaughter shared a veggie sandwich and fries. They liked theirs as well. Took home as carryout another veggie and fries for son-in-law and 5 bagels. All have enjoyed bagels and cream cheese. First time visitor from Iowa. Will return in future and recommend to others.

I just had the double cheeseburger combo. Came out to $13. Not a bad price considering you won't find anything as big or as good at any fast food place. It's worth it. Outside seating with table umbrellas if you want to be outside. Only downside, no restrooms available.

Awesome place! Everything bagel has perfect amount of salt, which isn’t always the case outside of NY. Bacon and chive cream cheese is delish. Tons of cookies (didn’t get one, but wanted one!). Only reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars is because the coffee cups are styrofoam with terrible lids and a large is $2.95, which is ridiculous.

Honestly, you could share a bagel and still feel like you had plenty. (We did eat the whole bagel/bialy by ourselves. I also got a black and white cookie for later which was quite good. Small family-owned business with 2 locations. Support local!

I come into this Dinks location quite often and every time I feel like I am a nuisance to all the staff by just walking in or simply asking for a refill. The food is OK but the customer service is horrible. There is only one worker who I like and that would be Vanessa. I have come in at 8:30 a.m. (busiest time of day) and she is taking orders and running food out all by herself. I give her 5 stars for every visit since she works her butt off all while having a smile on her face.

I've been coming to Dinks for many many years. In just the last few times I've gone there not once have I seen anyone behind the counter wash their hands before touching the food AND I notice they pick up the bagels with their hands instead of using the tongs!!! Today the girl tipped over two stacks of styrofoam cups that fell on the ground and she picked them up and continued using them. I wish I could have spoken to the owners directly instead of posting this publicly but didn't know how to do that. Don't get me wrong the bagels are the best in town just wish the people behind the counter washed their hands and use tongs to handle the bagels!!!

We've eaten at Dink's intermittently for a few years. Used to be good would be my description of the place. Prices have risen astronomically and the food is just so so. A family member wanted to eat there yesterday so we went. I ordered a cobb salad that was supposed to come with a grilled chicken breast. The grilled chicken breast turned out to be cubed cold meat. Service was slow and crappy. Thumbs down.

Staff is awesome but the corn beef sucks. The recipe is awful and too thin. It doesn’t taste like corn beef (no taste what so ever all I taste is the bread). Coke slaw and potato salad no flavor. I would give it 1 star but they are locally owned and courteous so 3

Bacon plate we ordered was not good at all. My son called it "sour". We didn't finish it. Bagels and cream cheese were ok but not amazing. Cost us 15 for all of it. Not great price for the quality.

Bagels were good, however the customer service is not up to pair. Mostly from cashier. First time here and definitely there are some great tasting bagels somewhere else with a great service and recommendations as soon as you step in.

Unfortunately not great. This is second visit. They had no customers and all three meals were still cold, bread toasted on one side only and cheese definitely not melted on omelettes. So disappointed as I brought my mother and first time visit my bagel, lox and cream cheese was very good. I let the staff know and she didn't not offer to replace, nor at least to reheat. 👎🏼

I used to like this place. Good meats piled high on good bread. But my last few visits have been seriously disappointing... The sandwiches are half the size they used to be. The burgers are made from crappy hamburger and overcooked thin patties. And for the quality and quantity, the food is seriously overpriced now. If you want a good deli sandwich, I suggest go to the Italian deli down the street.

The pastrami tasted horrible , the bread was old, I regret spending my money on this trashy food…

i honestly love Dinks just not this location. Service wasn't great. i ordered ahead online and yes my food was waiting for over and hour but that's my concern not the restaurant. The workers chose to throw away my order with giving me a courtesy call. so when i arrive they tell me my food has been tossed and that they can make it again, which they did and it made me late to go back to work. the best location is on Newhall Ave never go the one on McBean EVER! the girls working the register are beyond rude and ignore the customers

I’ve been a loyal customer of dinks for the last 15 years, and after my experience today, that will no longer be the case. I walked in at 3:38pm. There were chairs stacked in front of the door, making it dangerous to walk in, also making us believe they were closed. An employee was sweeping the floor, we asked if they were closed and he said “almost”, then, we asked if they had any bagels left and he told us to go look in the case. It was dismissive and rude. When we ordered our bagel, the employee was condescending, visibly annoyed, and clearly upset we were ordering food ~so~ close to closing time. We got our total & my dad asked to have the price broken down. The employee rudely pointed to the menu and said “the price is right there” when we finished eating, we said thank you on our way out & the employee was so rude in his sarcastic response of “no problem”. I’ve worked in food service before, and understand that it’s annoying when customers come in just before closing time, but this employee’s blatant disdain made us feel awful. If I’m spending $15 on one bagel with lox, I’d at least not like to feel like a burden on the employees. I’d also like to add, stacking chairs in front of the door is not just a deterrent for potential customers, it’s a major safety hazard. I’d give 0 stars today if I could.

This location forgot to include one of our 3 ordered items on a previous visit, no big deal, but when we asked about getting it replaced on our next visit we were treated as if it was somehow our fault for not having called to have our missing item added to a list of approved replacements. For something we ordered and paid for which they forgot in the first place. To even have an approved list of replacements begs questions, but this incident, plus a general unfriendly and terse demeanor will prevent us from returning again.

I ordered a lox bagel through DoorDash, but my order was canceled by Dinks with the reason that they couldn’t fulfill it. To double-check, I called the store directly and was told they were, in fact, serving lox bagels. That’s incredibly frustrating and shows a serious lack of coordination between the restaurant and DoorDash. If items are available, customers shouldn’t have their orders canceled without explanation. Very disappointing experience.

I wasn't upset at all, but my eight year-old nephew was. I told him we would exchange it for another cookie. I brought the cookie and told them we didn't like it.
