La terraza de Doña Pedrona en la Plaza Barón de Cortés, en Ruzafa, es uno de esos lugares con muchísimo encanto donde apetece sentarse tranquilamente a disfrutar del ambiente del barrio. La plaza es peatonal y muy agradable, con la iglesia de San Valero justo enfrente y el Mercado de Ruzafa al lado. Por las tardes tiene un ambiente muy bonito: gente tomando algo en las terrazas, vecinos charlando y niños jugando tranquilamente por la plaza. Nos encanta venir con amigos a tomar un vinito en la terraza y algo de tapeo, mientras los niños pueden jugar con total tranquilidad. Además, justo en la plaza está GELAT del Mercat, una heladería artesanal muy conocida en Ruzafa por sus helados naturales, así que los niños pueden tomarse un helado natural en la plaza mientras nosotros seguimos disfrutando del momento en la terraza. Uno de esos rincones de Ruzafa que representan muy bien el ambiente de barrio de Valencia: buena terraza, plaza peatonal, mercado cerca y un plan perfecto para pasar la tarde.

Trendy Ruzafa with the Doña Petrona gem. Service and atmosphere: Good service either friendly staff. The restaurant has great location in a quiet spot right next to a church and quaint narrow streets of Valencia. They offer seating inside and outside. Food and drinks: Their menu offers very good selection of local and elevated dishes. We ordered some tapas that were well seasoned, flavour balanced and overall super tasty. You can opt for some local wines and beers to accompany your meals. The local vino tinto had soft tannins and smooth finish. Pricing: $ - super worth it!

Have had dinner here a couple of times and it’s very good. We’ve had the deviled eggs with tuna twice and they never fail. This time we also had the picaña de ternera and it was very flavorful. Definitely recommend. Also recommend their tinto de verano and their vermouth selection.

I can see why this restaurant gets mixed reviews but we loved it. It’s located in a popular sun trap and very busy during peak times. You need to make a reservation this is the important bit. People turn up and expect a seat in the sun and get frustrated with the staff when turn them away. It’s not their fault you never booked so don’t be rude ! The food is incredible Especially the empanada! Our male waiter was lovely. Wine chap and delicious.

I came across it by chance while walking around the Russafa market, and its location drew my attention. Since then, I frequently visit this place for coffee and lunch. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Doña Petrona restaurant in Valencia. I was very impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. So much so we went twice. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Russafa district, a trendy and vibrant area of Valencia. The interior is bright and modern, with a large terrace that is perfect for al fresco dining. The menu features a variety of Spanish and Argentinian dishes, all of which are made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I started with the Argentinian empanadas, which were perfectly flaky and filled with delicious meat and vegetables. For my main course, I had the veal milanese, which was cooked to perfection and served with a delicious sauce. I also tried the eggs stuffed with tuna, which were a unique and flavorful dish. The service at Doña Petrona was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made excellent recommendations and helped us choose the perfect wines to accompany our meal. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Doña Petrona. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Valencia.

Relax place just in front of the old church, but I think they need a little more decoration to make the terrace more cozy. Good foods and good portion. I don’t understand why some people complaining that it’s not enough. My favorite was the gnocchi with black truffle, so yummy! Interesting way to make Wiener schnitzel, I like this better than the “traditional” one like you make in Germany/Austria. It’s more tasty and rich, with herbs too. The croquet is so creamy and indeed light curry chicken like they say. The olives also interesting, they put some kind of chili oil, it’s like fusion with Argentinian cuisine

Muy buena opción para tomar algo en el centro de valencia. Justo al lado del mercado russafa. Eso si la Cerveza de barril buena pero algo cara. 2,80€ el doble. Cenamos dos personas por 20€ persona. Las croquetas de pollo sin más, no se harán famosos por ellas. La empanada de secreto está muy buena aunque es Algo pequeña. Pero desde luego, por lo que merece la pena visitar el sitio son las milanesas. Plato abundante acompañado con patatas fritas y con opción de añadir huevos fritos por 2€ extra. Tienes las opciones de milanesa napolitana y milanesa fugazzeta, una con tomate y orégano , la otra con cebolla y especias , las dos con queso fundido por encima. Muy buen plato. Enhorabuena !! Repetiremos sin duda.

Improvisamos la cena y terminamos en este restaurante argentino. La comida en general estaba bien, las raciones se quedaban un poco cortas para el precio que tenían. Probamos varían empanadas y estaban buenas, la seta XXL estaba buena pero tampoco era nada del otro mundo, es más una tapa que un plato principal. Placed in a lovely square sandwiched in between the Russafa market and the old church on Calle del Padre Perera, this lovely bar and eatery makes the perfect spot to relax, enjoy drinks with friends or to read a book. Me pedí el bocata de la casa (Doña Petrona) y la cantidad me defraudó, corresponde más a medio bocata, sería más honesto venderlo así. El pan y la ternera estaban buenos, pero el huevo frito estaba pasado de cocción y no pude saborear la yema. La salsa del bocata escasa, pero muy rica, yo pondría todo el pan empapado en ella. El servicio correcto pero sin muchas ganas de atender, llegué el primero a almorzar, no había nadie y aún así tardaron en tomarme nota. La ubicación me gusta y corría algo de brisa, se estaba bien. Creo que tienen potencial de mejora, volveré para comprobarlo.

Se hizo eterna la espera hasta que nos sirvieron y aún así olvidaron anotar uno de los pedidos .... Yo no creo que vuelva más. En el cuestionario he puesto que fuimos a almorzar, pero si junto con la hora de la comida.. llegamos a las 11:30 y acabaron de servirnos a las 12:30... Fuimos a almorzar en fallas. Cuando nos sentamos apenas había gente. Las camareras muy lentas, el servicio muy lento, cada cosa que pedíamos teníamos que esperar más de 10 minutos. Los camareros no sabían ni lo que era vino y casera para el almuerzo, en pleno centro de Valencia. No recomiendo este sitio para nada, no volvería. Para la excelente ubicación que tienen es un desperdicio. Además, los precios son excesivos.

Si veis mi perfil, no suelo dejar reviews negativas, pero he querido dejar esta por si, como yo, otros clientes de los últimos años se encuentran con lo mismo: el personal ha cambiado y la atención ya no es lo que era. Tenía reserva, verificable, pero no fuimos capaces ni de sentarnos. Lo mismo tenia un mal día la encargada, pero nos trató de manera muy negativa, durante 30min esperando de pie tres veces le pregunté si podíamos sentarnos y las dos veces nos dijo de mala manera “pero tenéis reserva!?”. Las dos veces, le dijimos que sí. A la tercera le pregunté si podíamos sentarnos en una de las mesas libres, respuesta “sin reserva no”. Sin más. Nos fuimos no por esperar, si no por las muy malas formas. Iba con mis suegros, porque anteriormente la atención había sido muy buena, y me hizo buscar un lugar de última hora y tarde para llevarles a comer.
