We came for lunch on a Saturday at noon. We arrived early so we were alone, and the service was lightning fast. We ordered the set menu, which has a €2 surcharge on weekends, and a portion of torreznos, which we'd seen in reviews and wanted to try. The torreznos were perfect, crispy to the touch, and tender and delicate throughout. For starters, I tried the garlic soup, with egg and abundant ham, very delicious, and my partner had the cocido soup, also very flavorful. For main courses, I had the meat of the day, which was Iberian secret, and my partner had the meatballs. Both dishes were very good. I was very surprised by the secret because it wasn't grilled but came with an onion sauce, similar to the one usually added to fresh sausages. I'd never had it that way before, and it was a real discovery. For dessert, we had the rice pudding (the last one left), which was the worst choice, as it wasn't particularly good. I don't know if it was because it had been cooked for a long time, but it had a certain refrigerated aftertaste. And the lemon mousse, which wasn't homemade but was just about right. Considering the price-performance ratio, it's a very good place to eat homemade food at a good price. We ate in the dining room, but the bar area had a great atmosphere if you're looking for something more lively.

The weekend menu is highly recommended. I recommend the Castilian soup. The sirloin steak with cheese sauce was good, but the sauce was too mild for my taste; the cheese flavor wasn't very pronounced. The atmosphere was great. My only complaint is that with the weekend menu, if you wanted wine, you could only order red; there was no option for a glass of white. Otherwise, highly recommended.

I called without a reservation and they gave us a table without any problem. The food came out quickly and was delicious. If I had to find a fault, the ribeye steak we ordered medium-rare came out a little more well-done, but even so, the meat was good. Honestly, on a day when everything was fully booked, they were fantastic. The portions were quite reasonably priced and a good amount.

It was 3:30 p.m. We walked in, and they kindly set up a table for us. They have a daily menu for €18, and today's dish was a full stew with freshly caught tuna. A good menu with hearty, homemade dishes. We opted for ham with melon and Russian salad, which was delicious, and for main courses, grilled emperor fish and tripe. Although they had several homemade desserts, we ordered ice cream. We were grateful that they served us so late, and the only complaint was that it took a long time for the first courses to arrive, even though they were already prepared...

Looking for a typical Castilian trattoria? Mesón Enrique is the place for you, even if you're at the end of a long workday. The menu is quite extensive... but the daily menu is recommended, especially for the wine, which must be strictly paired with a "gaseosa" (a typical Calabrian dish). The menu also includes a very rich mountain cocido (stew) and meat or fish of the day. Excellent value!

Restaurant with home-cooked food and a family atmosphere. It offers a daily menu all week with a wide variety of dishes. The service was very good, as was the attention. It didn't take long to serve us, even though there were quite a few of us and we had already reserved the menus in advance. I didn't give it 5 stars because the meat was quite tough despite being cooked medium rare. And I didn't like the fact that they added onion to the garlic scramble (I'd never seen it before and didn't like that combination). The cuttlefish was very tasty, though.

Nice food, cheap and good!

Fuimos a comer, era hora punta, y había cocido en el menú, estaba ocupado y nos dijo que deberíamos haber reservado dos días antes. Decidimos tomar unas reacciones en la barra. La oreja rebozada estaba agotada, la pedimos a la gallega, a mí me gustó bastante, la oreja quizás demasiado cocida. Después una de callos, blanditos, pero la salsa le faltaba más espesor y más consistencia, los he probado bastante mejores. La ultima una de jamón que no estaba mal. El tamaño de las raciones no está mal para el precio, atención amable.

We ordered a pork rind, a croquette, and half a pig's ear. The pork rind was stale and bad, not crispy at all. The croquette wasn't bad, and the pig's ear was fresh from the salt flats, but the price was, I think, outrageous. Tomorrow, we Valladolid locals will have to choose.

Mienten en su cartelería con el precio del menú diario. Pone claramente 17,90 + 2 euros de suplemento en fin de semana y nos han cobrado 25 euros por un menú, que si bien cumple, es de batalla (no tiene calidad reseñable).

Hemos ido a comer un grupo de compañeras ,que hemos ido ya varias veces y nos conocen.La experiencia de hoy ha sido pésima y habíamos reservado con antelación.Cuando llego la hora de elegir primeros platos y segundos lo que nos ofrecieron fueron los restos.El pescado que había salmón y emperador estaba quemado osease más seco aquello que no se podía comer.Al servir se olvidaron de servir las ensaladillas esperando y esperando hasta que ya se vi claramente que se les olvidó.Casi sin haber acabado de comer nos traen la cuenta y la finalidad era pagar ya antes de acabar y así lo hicimos.Para el precio del menú que ya tiene calidad y trato bastante mal.Lasbotras veces genial pero está vez horrible tanto las cocineras tanto los camareros una chica y un chico colombianos.No volveremos y perdéis un grupo numeroso de clientas.

Disappointing. We always ordered a plate of fried eggs with potatoes on Three Kings' Day from their menu. Today, a very unpleasant waitress served us in the upstairs dining room and told us it had to be a frying pan. We told her it was a plate. She grimaced and insisted it had to be a frying pan. So she brought a mediocre frying pan; the egg wasn't fried, and the ham was salty. The waiter was much nicer. The service was very slow, and when we arrived, there was only one other table occupied. The food has gone downhill. In short, we won't be returning. It's a shame; we always went there for lunch on Three Kings' Day and for a vermouth the rest of the year.

The croquette was delicious, but I asked him what Verdejo he had, and he couldn't tell me what wine he had. He asked the owner, who said, "Just give me that one over there!" Terrible service, insulting attention, since I only wanted a good Verdejo, and he gave me something no one else wants. I'm sorry because it's a place I used to recommend, and right now I won't be doing it again. If you want good service, don't come back. Thank you, and I'm sorry because it was a very nice place.
