¡Fantástica elección para probar la auténtica comida yucateca, con todo el sabor de Valladolid! Definitivamente recomiendo los panuchos de lomitos, con una rica agua de piña con chaya.

Restaurante la Selva es un lugar para disfrutar de antojitos típicos de Yucatán, podrás degustar un panucho, una empanada, unos sopes o un caldo, también cuenta con venta de cervezas y vinos. El lugar tiene un ambiente acogedor y es ideal para cenar en familia. Sin duda un lugar para disfrutar de la comida Yucateca. Tiene la ventaja de estar a 4 cuadras del parque del centro y se puede llegar a pie. No olvides seguirnos para obtener recomendaciones de los mejores lugares de la ciudad.

Delicioso! Vale la pena visitarlo y conocer comida típica yucateca. Probamos la sopa de lima, la sopa selva, panuchos, salbutes, chalupas y empanadas. El agua de chaya con limón muy rica. Todo delicioso.

And if I should die today, then I would have a big smile on my face. I asked for recommendations and the nice lady said „panuchos with chicken“. I also had the sopa de lima. Both was a direct foodasm and of course the great margerita helps me with this review. But honestly, I would have paid 3 times the price and still would be happy! Tomorrow I‘ll be back.

We had several locals recommend it. Cash only. The prices are the cheapest you will find the panuchos and chalupas were really good. The guacamole was good but I don’t think it is haas avocado it’s a local avocado which is not as creamy. Dinner for two with beers was about 325 with the 100 peso guacamole. Bring mosquito repellent.

This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb host, for us to try a more typical Yucatán cuisine. It was delicious and we really enjoyed our meals. It is hot but they have fans to help off set that. Food was very affordable and the Paloma was delish!

This was a great culinary discovery. Such delicate little bites made of the same simple ingredients. We lived the albutes, panuchos and other things I can't even remember their names. But the Chaya de Piña was absolutely delicious and the perfect drink to accompany our meal. We ordered and reordered. I pillow out the phone and showed the. Pics from previous reviews and said "I want that". We all said, "one.. ahem... Two more por favor." At various times during our meal. It's been 4 hours since we got back from La Selva and I just can't stop thinking a bit going back.

You should visit if you have a chance. The food was wonderful. The masa they used is unique. The lomitos was a wonderful filling in the empanada. The sopa was delightful and wonderful even on a hot, humid night. The chalupa was a mix of textures, soft potatoes inside with a crispy masa crust. Definitely have the agua fresca de Chaya, it’s refreshing and sweet from added pineapple. And bring cash.

A must try for Valladolid. A mixture of locals and tourists in the venue which is a great sign. We went based on google reviews and are glad that we did! The lime soup is delicious - again a google review try! We got tostadas and chalupas and codzitos. Portions were very big. We let the waiter choose our protein 😂 - we had chicken on the tostadas and then had carne (we think!) on the chalupas. There was a surprise hard boiled egg on the chalupas so maybe choose your protein yourself if you don't want to be surprised. The paloma was lovely also - some of the other cocktails were huge. It was reasonably priced, the bill came to 150 pesos each including a tip.

it's a really great place! we had it recommended by the receptionist at our hostel and it was a gem. everything we had tasted fresh, the guacamole was really good, and both soups we tried were spectacular! also the atmosphere is really nice and it seems like a very local place. they also do delivery. it is also well priced. absolutely recommend a visit!

The best regional food we had during our trip in Mexico. Simple, cosy and light environment. The food was tasty and affordable. Please try the lime soup. It was really the best local meal I had. We also tried their taco’s speciality and the one with black beans was simply amazing (so good that we forgot to take a picture 🤭). They do not accept credit card so bring some cash with you.

Amazing Yucatec food and lovely service with a smile! We had Codzitos rolls and soup Caldo la Selva. For drinks I choose green drink - Chaya + Pina (tasty and refreshing!). Great portions, budget friendly prices. One of the most delicious meal we had through our 2 week Yucatan Peninsula trip! Definitely recommend it if you want to try authentic and tasty local food!

Tiene bonitos murales que hacen el ambiente tradicional y adecuado para disfrutar tu comida. Cuentan con panuchos, salbutes, caldos, y más todo muy rico, la atención muy bien. Los precios son de acuerdo a lo que ofrecen y al lugar, si vas temprano alcanza lugar ya después tendrás que esperar un poco.

We went to eat there in September 2024, around closing time, so there weren’t many guests. The food came quite quick, it was good tasting, traditional, and the portions were big enough. The waiters were ok, nothing bad to say about them. There was also live music. What we didn’t like is that the space wasn’t that much cared for, it looked quite dirty and with old appliances.

Atienden regular pero sin mucho ánimo, el servicio es tardado pero respetuoso. La opinión de un turista es que la comida la sirvieron fría a pesar de que está es comida frita en su mayoría, sin embargo no tiene un sabor desagradable pero tampoco algo que me lleve como recordatorio de un buen lugar para comer como turista. El ambiente es agradable, tranquilo y acogedor ya que el local se ve lindo. En general es pasable pero no lo recomiendo como para turista ya que quizá como local tengan otra opinión mejor valorada. Quizá sea bueno visitarla pero me imagino que hay mejores opciones. En cuanto al precio es regular no es lo más barato pero también no es nada caro, accesible en pocas palabras.

La comida está rica sobre todo los panuchos de carne molida, está céntrico y tiene precios muy accesibles en su menú yo diría que muy barato, solo lo que si les falla es que su servicio es muy lento
