Simple place and staff... simple in a good way! ...excellent food, excellent pizza
I ate an excellent pizza and an excellent apple pie, the service was quick and the prices reasonable.
This place's slightly hidden location doesn't do it justice. It deserves much more visibility. The food is good, lots of it, and although I unfortunately haven't tried it myself, I'm sure the drinks are even better. The owner, a very friendly guy, is a passionate connoisseur of wines, beers, and the like, and the menu offers a wealth of choices from every corner of Italy. We'll definitely be returning.
Great food and awesome service. Can definitely recommend their beer 🍺
Good classi Italian food, generous portions!
It could be worse, says the friendly host. It couldn't be better, I say. The kindness of the girl, the goodness and simplicity of the dishes, zero pretentiousness. Moderate prices. Tasty, good, amazing, like Christ. As we say in Rome. There's no comparison. Seriously, don't come here or I won't find a place. Thank you, thank you again. After being in Cannes for a week and eating badly and very expensively, this was just what I needed. Eight times a month I'll be here for a four-course meal. "Li otto luoghi" has only surprised me in a positive way, and I'm known for being a pain in the ass at the table. In vino veritas. ✌️ 🕊️ Peace ✌️🕊️
Pizza institution! And superb selection of top quality wines and beers
A restaurant with excellent value. The starters are good, and there's a wide selection of pizzas. Very friendly staff, and there's plenty of parking in front. We chose it by chance, and were very pleased.
We had an excellent calamarata with seafood. It was truly delicious. We've been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The menu features both meat and seafood dishes, as well as pizzas. We've always eaten fish, but the pizzas look very inviting. The restaurant is simple but welcoming, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.
A very casual place with a modest outdoor area, aluminum tables that are a bit small, especially for four people. Luckily, one became available and we were able to combine them for more space. We appreciated the service and the young waiter's willingness to please. The dishes were very well prepared, the pizza light, thin, and generously topped. The bill was really fair, less than €60 for four adults. Prices have been slightly adjusted compared to the old menu. Recommended.
On a sunny summer day, a friend and I stumbled upon this place on the way to Ventimiglia, passing through Vallecrosia. We were greeted by a young woman who I would describe as very pleasant, but also not exactly a woman of many words. When I greeted her, to which I received no response, and asked if there was room (a rhetorical question since the restaurant was half-empty at lunchtime), I was met with the remark, "We don't do pizza for lunch." I replied that it wouldn't be a problem and that we would choose one of the dishes on their menu. At that point, without further ado, the young woman motioned for us to follow her, and thus we were allowed to sit at a table outside. We ordered two different first courses—different, mind you, that's a crucial detail—and a dessert plus coffee. The quality of the food was not bad, I must say, and the quantity was also appreciable for the price. It's what you might call an excellent place for value. I also note the presence of friends of the owner—I presume—who come over during service and hang out with him, making a lot of noise and causing a lot of din inside the restaurant. In short, if you're looking for that extra touch of folklore, it can be seen as a positive; however, it's less pleasant if you're expecting to eat in a quiet, calm environment. When it comes time to pay the bill, the owner comes out of the kitchen and, once behind the counter, exclaims, "I'm not a housekeeper!" My friend and I look at each other in disbelief and ask the owner if he could repeat himself, sure we'd misunderstood. But he persists in a rude tone and adds, "Yeah, what do you think I'm a housekeeper?! I mean, you come here in pairs and order different dishes, so I have to work harder to prepare everything!" Seeing our shocked expressions, the owner began to defuse the situation, lowering his tone slightly and making a few jokes that were a bit more playful and acceptable, let's say. What can I say? I've never received such treatment before. I took it philosophically, and the memory always brings a smile to my face. But then I think about it: I paid not only for food, but also to be treated rudely. And while the food was good, it's a shame about the service and hospitality, which fell short considering they're working in the restaurant business. To sum up, I had lunch at a restaurant where the food was very good and the prices were reasonable, in line with the food offered. However, the experience was disappointing because of the service: the welcome and courtesy of the staff were decidedly inadequate.
Unfortunately, to be able to write a review you have to give at least one star, but zero stars would already be too much! My husband and I arrive at this "place" at 8:30 PM. A young woman welcomes us and seats us. After a while, she comes back and takes our order. At 9:15 PM, my husband points out that it had been maybe 40 minutes since a dish had come out of the kitchen, so I ask the young woman, and she asks the owner what the status of table 6 was. The shouted response is, "Who the hell is table 6?" The young woman catches my eye and lowers hers, mortified. I wonder where we were! I decide to look at the reviews, and in one I read that the owner both makes money and cooks! We wait a total of 45 minutes. I go to the cashier and ask what I owe him for a small beer and a Coke. Without a word of apology, he says, "That's fine!" He spoke with a mixture of defiance and anger! He was still having it! I suggested that the owner change careers because catering is an art form and should be loved as such (I worked in catering for years). (A certain level for which I can speak)! I've never seen anyone so rude and unqualified for the job they're supposed to do!
Incomprehensible. I'd been there before, and the good food and reasonable prices had made it worthwhile to tolerate the owner's rudeness, dismissing him as a "folklore character." Now there's been a clear decline: the food quality has dropped, the prices have risen to the same level as other (more presentable) restaurants, but the owner's rudeness has increased, degenerating into rudeness and disrespect for others. He can't pretend to be a chef and also a cashier, and the consequence is that he does both things badly: long waits to eat and even to pay. Because he wants to do the bill, asking you to go to the kitchen to do it, and he doesn't let the waiting staff do it. He doesn't even display the prices of the specials of the day, so you don't even know how much you're supposed to pay. And when it comes to the bill, if you ask to pay for what you've consumed (because he'd prefer to pay the whole thing and split it between everyone, but if one person ate a slice of swordfish and the other a marinara pizza, it's not fair for them to pay the same) and by debit card (perhaps because he'd prefer not to show the receipt...), he mistreats and insults you. No. That's not the way to go. You keep people waiting because of your poor organization and then insult them too? Truly incomprehensible behavior. Not recommended.
It's a real shame... The quality of the food was excellent, the prices were also reasonable, but in addition to the fact that you can't serve 3 people (without crowding) in 45 minutes, when at the end of everything it was pointed out that a dish was missing, the owner's response was rude with a squalid joke without even apologizing... 3/10
