Cena di coppia perfetta! Prima volta in questo ristorante ma ce ne siamo innamorati e torneremo sicuramente per assaggiare altri piatti. Tutto buonissimo, dall’antipasto (speck con tomino, cavolo viola marinato e miele di castagno), passando per il tris di primi (risotto arancia, timo e robiola; gnocchi gratinati con toma, castagne e speck; risotto porro, taleggio, zafferano e nocciole), arrivando a concludere in dolcezza con una cheesecake al caramello salato (davvero salato finalmente!). Conto giusto considerando la qualità del prodotto e la quantità. Molto apprezzata la professionalità e gentilezza dello staff!

E' un ristorante specializzato in gnocchi e risotti nel centro storico di Varese e occupa gli spazi suggestivi di una vecchia cantina, che dà all’ambiente un’atmosfera raccolta e caratteristica. La cucina ruota attorno a gnocchi di patate fatti in casa e a una lunga lista di risotti, con combinazioni sia classiche sia più creative e stagionali. Ci sono anche delle opzioni per fare delle combinazioni di 2 o 3 primi per degustare i vari prodotti. I primi sono davvero eccellenti, gustosi, con abbinamenti del territorio e di porzioni abbondanti. L' ambiente è rustico, molto curato, gli spazi sono ben gestiti e l'atmosfera è davvero tipica di una cantina ma raffinata. Il locale è molto richiesto, per cui la prenotazione è vivamente raccomandata. I prezzi sono in media anche calcolando il fatto che si trova nella zona pedonale di Varese in pieno centro. Consigliato!

Per il mio compleanno ho deciso di pranzare in questa posticino molto carino in centro a Varese. La location è molto accogliente e costata nei minimi dettagli. Le luci sul soffitto rendono l’atmosfera ancora più magica. Abbiamo assaggiato per antipasto la degustazione di salumi e formaggi, crema di gorgonzola e pere con crostini caldo. Sono stato alla Risotteria alla ricerca di un ottimo risotto, ma grazie al loro menù sono riuscito addirittura a provarne tre. Ho provato il tris di risotti con zafferano e culatello, castelmagno e burro tartufato e un altro con nocciole e mela, e li ho trovati deliziosi (il primo un pochino salato, ma sono gusti). Il tutto con dell'ottimo vino della casa e gorgonzola a cucchiaio come antipasto. Abbiamo avuto un piccolo disguido con la comanda, ma non abbiamo avuto bisogno di avvisare i camerieri perché in autonomia se ne sono accorti, hanno preso provvedimenti e volevano anche scusarsi con un amaro offerto. Sono certo di ritornare non solo per provare altri risotti, ma anche per la Gnoccheria. Consigliatissimo per chiunque si trovi dalle parti di Varese, che siate amanti dei risotti o meno.

Sono stata al ristorante settimana scorsa con delle mie amiche. Tutto perfetto, risotti e gnocchi buonissimi, abbiamo preso tris e bis, molto abbondanti. Rapporto qualità prezzo fantastico, consiglio. Unica accortezza sono gli orari, il primo turno è delle 19.15 mentre il secondo delle 21.30; per i miei gusti sarebbe ottimale un orario di mezzo.

Ottimi primi piatti con ampia scelta di Risotti, Gnocchi e Pasta Fresca, ordinabili anche con bis o tris per minimo due persone. Cantina di vini e dessert di qualità. L'ambiente è confortevole, anche se spesso molto affollato, rendendo la prenotazione quasi obbligatoria. Il locale si trova tra le vie pedonali del centro di Varese ed è assolutamente da provare.

Ambiente meraviglioso,rustico ma elegante, noi nello specifico eravamo in una stanza con una volta e i vini appesi,meravigliosa. Servizio impeccabile e soprstutto la cucina e inragazzi in sala sonp stati tempestivi . Cibo ottimo,quantita belle abbondanti,l'antipastp che abbiamo preso lo abbiamp diviso(una persona normale può tranquillamente saziarsi se lo mangia in solitaria),gnocchi strepitosi,d'altronde il pastificio Dò non smentisce mai... Staff gentile e attento. I piatti sono davvero buoni e le porzioni molto generose. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo sia i risotti che gli gnocchi per non parlare dei dolci! Raccomandato il risotto con tonno scottato, lime e pepe rosa. Il menù è molto interessante ed è quasi difficile scegliere! Per farlo si dovrà tornare!

Una vera e propria scoperta. Locale molto bello e intimo con atmosfera davvero piacevole. Il cibo è eccezionale, così come il personale. Risotti spaziali ma anche i dolci (consiglio assolutamente la tarte tatin)

L’atmosfera è davvero bellissima, curata nei dettagli e molto piacevole. Il cibo è buonissimo, si sente la qualità e l’attenzione nella preparazione. Anche il personale è molto accogliente e gentile, sempre disponibile. Un’esperienza che consiglio assolutamente!

Se passate da Varese è necessaria una puntatina in questo bellissimo locale. Si mangia e si beve divinamente. Preparate lo stomaco ed il palato!

Cibo veramente speciale. Ovviamente il pezzo forte sono gli gnocchi conditi in svariati modi. Tutti ottimi. Altri piatti ottimi e super conditi. Il locale molto caratteristico e soprattutto pulito. Il personale veloce, preparato e gentile. Se vi trovate a Varese ne vale la pena andare. Ovviamente è consigliato prenotare.

Location molto bella, accogliente e affascinante. I piatti principali sono gli Gnocchi e i Risotti, come sempre molto buoni. Servizio attento e piacevole. Lo consiglio, non a caso sono cliente da molti anni.

I had the yummiest Gnocchi here again after Tuscany, it was simple with hazelnuts topped on it but the taste was the best. We got lucky with getting a table when we called on the previous day, we tried every night for our remaining stay but could not get one, this place is always booked up 2 weeks ahead. Fabulous food, great wine and super friendly service! I am so glad we discovered this gem, thanks to GoogleMaps! We didn’t have reservations but luckily we arrived around 7PM and we were allowed to come in provided we would leave before 9 PM. It was enough time to have antipasti, meal (delicious gnocchi) and dessert. Make sure you visit this place, it is really great!

This place is very popular, would recommend to make a reservation... we came for lunch without one and were offered two place at the bar, which we didn’t mind at all. Very friendly and helpful staff and they spoke good english. I was looking forward to the risotto, and it did meet my expectations, but I think the gnocchi was even better... you can order 3 kinds of risotto/gnocchi for two and I would really recommend doing that. The food was heaven. Ee had saffron risotto, pumpkin risotto and gorgonzola gnochhi. So good. We also loved the goat cheese appetizer. And the house white wine was great, a but sparking and very light.

Ambiente sicuramente accogliente e buon servizio. Unica nota al servizio è che hanno portato il caffè prima del dolce per farci liberare il tavolo su un loro ritardo a causa di un cuoco mancante quella sera. Abbiamo preso due antipasti, molto buono l'asado, niente di eccezionale il piatto di gorgonzola. Poi tris di risotti dove l'unico buono era quello di mare. Discreto il porcini e mirtilli mentre troppo sbilanciato sul tartufo, ovviamente burro al, quello castelmagno e tartufo. Bella selezione di vini ben serviti .

Cena di natale: locale molto carino per gli addobbi natalizi e i vari arredi. Si estende in lunghezza, la sala é mediamente ampia. Il menu si focalizza su antipasti, primi piatti e dolci. No secondi. Rinomato per gnocchi e risotti, decidiamo di ordinare diversi antipasti in condivisione e altri primi primi piatti. I piatti sono porzionati ottimamente, gustosi. Ottime le materie prime. Buoni anche dolci, in linea il prezzo con la qualitá. In allego foto dei piatti Unico neo l'ambiente é un po' chiassoso e si fa fatica a conversare, per il resto nulla da dire. Really nice place with cozy atmosphere, great wine selection from all the north of Italy and a long menu of plates from starters to desserts. Kind and welcoming staff. The only problem with our reservations was that we booked seats from 13:30 but the host gave us the table at 14:00.

I had dinner here. I shared a double dish of gnocchi and it was really good. There are a lot of variety of first dishes you can choose even if risotto and gnocchi are the main ones. We didn’t have enough space in our stomach for a second dish and we skipped directly to the desserts that taste really great. I suggest you to try it. Summing up, it is a quite nice restaurant, staff is nice, price is fair. If you are in town try it.

Really awesome atmosphere, like being inside a wine cellar. The waiter was super nice and quick to order. I had the “mini caprese” as a starter followed by the zucchini and ham risotto. I would have ordered dessert, but it was never offered after a wait. Both dishes were great though! It felt a little rushed, but I understand because there was a wait to get in; make a reservation and come early!

Bel locale nel pieno centro di Varese, posizionato in una sorta di cantina con mattoni a vista. È specializzato, così come indica l’insegna, in gnocchi e risotti e di entrambi c’è una scelta molto vasta. Però ci sono anche proposte di pasta fresca e ripiena. Servizio professionale, cortese ed attento. Buone le proposte dei vini. Il proprietario è una persona molto attenta alle esigenze della clientela e sa coordinare il suo staff. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.

I was the first client to enter at 12:05 and from the first second I felt something was not quite right about this restaurant. The owner and the waitress were poker faced and the low light on the table though aesthetically nice is not comfortable to the eyes (whatever happened to candles?) so I switched it off. The menu was given to me by the waitress and I struggled to understand the Italian. It is only after a few minutes when I was searching for the dessert menu is when I realised there is an English translation that proceeds the Italian one. I opted to start with black angus and I asked the waitress who had a good command of English that it should be made medium. She nodded in agreement. I felt it was a little strange that a steak is offered as a starter but I thought it is a small cut and it was surely more appealing than the rest of the menu which had a lot of exotic items such as octopus and blueberries in a savoury dish which I was surely not going to eat. When the starter arrived it turned out to be carpaccio. I don't like carpaccio and there was nothing on the menu indicating it was not a steak (unfair especially considering the waitress confirmed it will be cooked medium and there was not a single client besides me in the restaurant and so she heard me loud and clear). I walked to the front of the dining hall and said that I was not aware it was carpaccio and so kindly wrap it for me so I can take it away. I did not ask for a discount and did not show in any way that I was frustrated. I said I am happy to pay for it and take it home. I asked to see the menu so I choose another dish if the ravioli with asparagus is not large enough to fill my hunger. Instead of handing me the menu (I was standing literally half a meter from a pile of menus) the waitress waited for me to return to my table and then came with the menu. This time she indicated that there is an English menu after the Italian menu (I knew that already. Had she told me when I was first seated it would have been better). She also insisted it says carpaccio on the menu (it doesn't in the English version) and from that moment onwards her behaviour was unapologetically rude and snotty. In contrast the male waiter was very friendly and so I made sure to give him the tip in cash and ask him not to give the waitress any of it. Now for the food - the risotto with a local cheese is tasty but it is too mild for my taste. I ate risotto made with local Padanian butter in a friend's home some years ago and it was better than the version at Premiata (the proof the taste of that risotto is still on my tongue). Thankfully I carry my organic Indian herbs, spices and dry red chilli wherever I go so it was tasty but honestly I can't fathom what the hurrah is all about when it comes to North Italian cuisine that is bland and also lacking contrasting flavours. The ravioli asparagus had so little asparagus in the filling (if that was in fact the filling) it could have been anything really. It was also over salted but thankfully the portion was small so it was edible but not at all pleasurable. There was also no spoon to eat it with so I suppose one must dip the bread in the cream which I did. The tarte tatin was the best part of the meal but the vanilla ice cream was more of vanilla slush because it had large pieces of ice in it. Perhaps this is also connected to some regional tradition I am ignorant of but I personally prefer a good quality cream with tarte tatin. The dining hall is beautiful but it got crowded fast and as is the case with large wine cellars in old houses the acoustics will make you prefer you were not there (unless you enjoy this ambience which I am sure many do else the restaurant wouldn't be so popular).

We visited this restaurant today and liked the location and pleasant atmosphere. The service was good, and the staff spoke decent English. We ordered gnocchi for two and a risotto. While the presentation was nice, the taste was very basic and bland, lacking seasoning. The menu has many options, including wine, but the food was disappointing. Unfortunately, we won’t return.
