I discovered it by chance as one of the few Kyminasi-certified restaurants in Alessandria. I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the owners and the quality and deliciousness of the food! A great compromise for a dinner out, even if you're on a diet!
A very pleasant family lunch... the seafood menu is truly exquisite, with excellent and plentiful dishes. The service is courteous, professional, and fast, and the quality/price ratio is excellent considering the quality of the ingredients! The staff are friendly and professional! Highly recommended.
Excellent experience! Authentic Sicilian flavors in the heart of Alessandria: carefully prepared dishes, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming staff. From caponata to cannoli, everything was delicious. Highly recommended for those who love authentic Sicilian cuisine!
A ray of Sicilian sunshine in Alessandria. A restaurant with excellent value. First and second courses for all tastes. Don't miss the Sicilian cannons. Highly recommended. Tino.
Sunday lunch with friends. We couldn't have chosen a better place. It stands out for its Sicilian specialties, located in a quiet corner just outside the city, in the Astuti area. You're spoiled for choice with meat and seafood dishes, to say the least, superb! Excellent service, friendly staff. I'll definitely try the pizza in the future. The Sicilian cannoli are top-notch!!! 😋 Congratulations. We'll be back again and again.
Sunday lunch, They made us feel at home. The owner, as usual, was kind and full of words, making you feel right at home. The dishes were well-described. Excellent service and just the right wait time. We had arancini, which arrived piping hot. I loved the ones with squid ink. The eggplant caponata arrived at the perfect temperature to enjoy. Then we had a mixed fried fish dish, which wasn't greasy or dry. Finally, the Sicilian-style baked potatoes (they weren't reheated 🤣🤣, so many do that) were delicious. Finally, we had an excellent Palermo coffee at the counter, a chat, and we'll be back soon.
Four of us for Sunday lunch, we sit down and the party begins. Eggplant caponata, fish caponata, small arancini in white sauce, sardines a beccafico, and panelle. Then pasta alla norma, Sicilian-style anellini, seafood pasta (as good as it is filling), and a complete mixed fry of mixed seafood. Finally, cannoli and mango grenadine. A bottle of Rapitala and off we go. It's all there. See you soon.
The restaurant is a little difficult to find, but you do find it. The important thing is to ask for directions when you book. The owner and staff are friendly, the food is delicious, reflecting Sicilian tradition, and the location is spacious and clean. Five stars, definitely!
I'll start with the only weak point: it's difficult to find if you don't know where it is, because it basically occupies a section of the Incontro outlet store warehouse. Once inside, the location reveals itself to be a beautiful, spacious, clean, and welcoming space with the added bonus of convenient parking. The dishes we tried were all delicious: excellent arancini, even the seafood ones; I found the parmigiana exquisite; the fried calamari: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perhaps a little salty if you're being really picky. The service was very friendly, courtesy of the charming and very kind owner. The wait might have been a bit long, but the delicious food made up for it. The prices were more than fair, especially considering the generous portions. I can't wait to return to try some other typical Sicilian specialties.
The meal was delicious! The service was prompt and the staff courteous and friendly. The food was truly delicious, and the prices were in line with what you get. Try the seafood arancini, or the pasta with sardines (for those who love bold flavors). The recipes are reminiscent of Sicily, as is the owner's hospitality. The wine selection is also good. We'll have to return to try the other dishes, which looked inviting when we saw them being passed around the table! The osteria proved to be a little gem in an unusual location! This is our first time here, and we were immediately won over by the owner's friendliness. He took great care in the dishes served and their overall flavor. We were satisfied and will definitely be back for repeat visits, perhaps even hoping to add a star to each review! We expected slightly lower prices, but the quality and attention to detail evidently don't allow for that.
A good place for both fish and meat. They also do pizza, but I haven't tried it. The wine list is adequate, and there's a good selection of beers. The cuisine is typical Sicilian. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is very good. The only small flaw is that they served a chicken cutlet to a small child with a slightly undercooked center, but as soon as I pointed this out, they immediately took action and cooked it thoroughly. Recommended.

Just outside Alessandria, in the Astuti neighborhood, lies "Fico d'India," a somewhat hidden location, not immediately obvious but convenient thanks to its parking. The atmosphere is rather impersonal, lacking any particular touches to make it welcoming, and the service is minimal and unfussy. As for the menu, the fish appetizer was pleasant: quite fresh and well-prepared. The tagliolini with clams, however, were less convincing, penalized by too much pepper that overpowered the more delicate flavors, while the fried calamari was a bit tough to chew. Overall, the quality-price ratio is acceptable: a good choice if you're looking for a simple, unpretentious seafood meal. In fact, there's a daily "lavoro" menu, more streamlined and designed for those short on time.
Simple, unpretentious cuisine. The restaurant offers a lunch menu for workers, starting at €12 for meat and €15 for fish. The dining room is small but clean. The staff is friendly. Unfortunately, our meal wasn't particularly good, but it's fine for a quick lunch or a first course. They also cater to celiacs and vegetarians.
Cmnq grazie.
Disastrous Christmas Lunch. Dec 2025 • Family Unfortunately, a very disappointing family Christmas lunch. Arriving at 1:00 PM on December 25th, we received our appetizer only after an hour and a half of waiting, and the quality was truly poor (a 2). The breadsticks were even out of date. During service, it was clear that there was a serious organizational difficulty in managing so many customers at once. The situation in the dining room was chaotic: some customers, after more than two hours, got up and left without even receiving their first course. After waiting for our first course, we too decided to get up, pay, and leave. In the end, we finished lunch with a hamburger at McDonald's. An experience we weren't expecting, especially on a day like Christmas.
The lady who gave us the bill: (owner, I presume) was VERY UNfriendly! She even raised her voice when I, a customer, asked (politely) questions about my bill!!!!! Obviously NOT a pleasant experience!!! While the owner of the place... a really helpful, kind man.
