Stellar experience. Mom is veggie so we had ricotta lemon crostini- grilled garlic bread melted the ricotta. Perfect spice level. Westside cocktail with vodka, orgeat, cucumber, lime, mint & bitters. Perfection. Brussel sprout salad was recommended before we went so tried that. It's a thinly shaved salad so no pungent brussel sprout taste. Grapes, nuts and a light vinagrette, also delicious. A glass of Arneis white and then a glass of Sangiovese (red) with the eggplant ravioli with smoked scamoza cheese. More bread for the sauce. Locally made raspberry sorbetto to finish. Not cloying, syrupy or too sweet. Cory and Amanda & crew took excellent care of us. Will come back and check out their whiskey speakeasy Old Lightning that is closed Sunday & Monday. We sell the owner's Rare Character whiskey at K&L Wines in Culver City.

Amazing pasta, handmade, and delicious. The tagliatelle was like drapes of delicate tapestry in the culinary world. My favorites were: 1) squash blossoms: the batter was light as a veil, and delicious, 2) the rigatoni with vodka sauce - felt like a warm hug.

We made reservations for a later time but arrived about an hour early because we were starving. They weren’t too busy so they switched our reservation and sat us down almost immediately. Service was good, though there was some confusion as to who was our waiter. I think the manager came over at first to take our drink order because we were sat for a while. But because we sat for so long without anyone stopping by, we were ready to order by the time the manager came over. We devoured the Eggplant Parmesan for our appetizer. Main dishes we got were the Creste Rigate and the Rigatoni. Both dishes were fire!!! We also got the bread basket and even that was amazing!! It was garlic butter bread that was so warm and soft. This is by far one of favorite meals and I can’t recommend Scopa enough!

Recommendation from a friend as a must stop by for dinner while in town. It did not disappoint! The crudobar was a perfect spot for us to enjoy our meal.

What a great meal! My husband and I both agree that the restaurant is a perfect 4.5, but since half points aren’t an option, I’m opting for a 5. Here’s why… the food was so tasty, nicely portioned, and imaginative. Well done! We were greeted warmly, and received a very nice anniversary card upon arrival, the atmosphere was very lively, fun, and beautiful - a rare thing theses days in LA. The cons were obviously the very high price, our waiter often disappeared for long periods of time, and the free anniversary dessert (a scoop of gelato) was so disgusting that neither of us ate past the first bite. Think “bottom of the freezer, been there for months ice cream” taste. And yet… the overall experience was wonderful, and well worth a second visit, especially with the Amex credit. Definitely order the grilled bread! You wont be sorry 💗

The restaurant had a nice stylish warm vibe. We ordered the crispy squid ink calamari. Not the most appetising dish to look at, but it certainly turned out to be delicious. This was our first visit here and would look forward to returning to try other menu options.

I had the linguini, I didn’t know what it meant when people say that the clams tasted like the sea, but today I finally do. Food was amazing, especially the Riacatta (housemade cheese with bread). I am usually not a big fan of cheese, but the cheese here goes so well with the bread. The lovely waiter also sent out a fresh batch of bread so that we could finish up the remaining cheese!! 🥰🥰🥰 My friends got the Steak Tartare, Scallops, as well as the Roasted Chicken to share. Would absolutely recommend people to come here next time!!

Antonia Lofaso is one of my favorite TV chefs. I was so excited to visit Scopa, and it did not disappoint! It's hard to pick a favorite food because everything we had was so good. I personally loved the Creste Rigate pasta, the calamari, and the Fluffernutter, which was genuis! Such a treat, and I can't wait to eat here again when I'm back in SoCal!

Went there for dinner with friends and had a lively and lovely time: wine, food, service and the atmosphere. First of all, the wine was amazing. The somalier was so attentive and when we told her in detail what we wanted, she picked this amazing bottle of Frappato. So good we ended up having 2 bottles! Next, the food was excellent. The ordered ricotta stuffed flash fried squash blossoms, stuffed mushrooms (temperature HOT so becareful), and the beets salad with burrata and bread was amazing. We were pretty full so decided to split the lamb ragu parpadelle, clam linguine and chicken parmesan with butter bucatini. All the pastas were cooked to perfection and the sauces were a dream. The service was efficient and right amount of friendly (smile and positive vibes but not interrupting your conversation) from the hostess, server and the busser. The atmosphere is masculine with leather couches but big windows and high ceiling made it simply elegant and clean. Low lighting so the tables are romantic enough and the bar area was a bit more modern and brighter. Everyone there were happy to be there and the atmosphere of the patrons was electric and lively.

It was a true privilege to capture the joy and celebration at this wonderful lady's milestone birthday party. Surrounded by an incredible circle of friends, her happiness was radiant. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the opportunity to explore new locations, connect with fascinating people, and experience vibrant atmospheres. This event was a delightful blend of delicious food, lively company, and pure celebration.

Had a good time dining here when I visited Long Beach. When my party arrived, we did have to wait around 20 minutes for a table but we waited at the bar until the table was ready. I got the Passion Fruit Margarita which was delicious!! Also ordered the Scallops Oreganata and a side of roasted vegetables. I believe the scallops oreganata was just an appetizer but I wish they gave you more than 2 scallops given the price. But the scallops tasted great, was cooked well, and had great seasonings and garnishes. Roasted vegetables also had good flavors with a variety of vegetables and while it was a side, it was a large portion. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and cozy as well and staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Located in Venice, away from the usual tourist spots and nestled along a busy boulevard, this refined Italian bistro offers a unique dining experience. The cuisine here doesn't adhere strictly to traditional Italian or Italian-American recipes. Instead, it successfully blends both, adding its own distinctive touch with the use of fresh ingredients, their stuffed mushrooms is a great example of that new italian cuisine. The extensive wine list is commendable, and their dessert offerings come highly recommended. Additionally, their bar is the perfect place for enjoying a sophisticated cocktail should you be only thirsty.

We had an INCREDIBLE experience here this past Saturday. We had an 8:30pm reservation, and we were sat about 20 minutes past reservation time - grabbed a drink from the bar while we were waiting. The service was fantastic! The hosts were welcoming, the server was attentive and knowledgeable and the service staff which clear plates, fill waters etc. were always circling around which was really nice. The atmosphere in our opinion was good, it's very loud but it's "lively" and you can tell everyone in there is having a great time. We could still have a conversation just fine at our table. The decor and overall feel inside is beautiful and contemporary. Lastly and most importantly, the food was DELICIOUS! We had the Mortadella meatballs with pistachio pesto and the steak tartar appetizers to start. The pesto was SO GOOD, I could have just eaten a bowl of that on its own. They were both great dishes, but we would prefer a thinner crostini without cheese on it for steak tartar. We both had pastas for our mains, (one was with chicken parm dish) both were very good! Some wine, and an affogato for dessert. I've had many affogatos, this one was just meh - plain and simple. But still did the trick. Would 100% recommend and we will return again if we're in the area.

This place gives ultimate vibes. The atmosphere is modern contemporary, which I just love and the food was worth every penny. We ordered the rice ball, pasta, squash blossoms and memorable drinks. I WILL be coming back to this scrumptious modern vibe :) Thank you to the staff who was very attentive to my food allergies as well.

Amazing food experience! Everything was well balanced and full of flavor! The atmosphere inside is a vibe in itself. The outdoor dining area is no longer there (since Covid is not much of a threat). I recommend the pesto meatballs or rice ball for starters. The pasta is made in house and is amazing (no matter which dish you get). The T-bone steak is tender and full of flavor. The pork chops have a beautifully balanced demiglaze and are super tender. The fingerling potatoes on top of the pork chop are crispy and full of flavor. The Brussels sprouts salad is to die for! Every bite had texture with the nuts and grapes. The ricotta cheesecake was amazing too. For dessert, the kicker was the box of cookies. These cookies are made in-house and are literally the best cookies I’ve had. They are muted in sweetness, nice vanilla notes throughout and have a few options in one box. A perfect dessert to eat with a latte or drip coffee. Definitely worth the cost.

Laying on the couch after coming home painfully full from Scopa ☺️ Mama Mia I don’t know where to start! The food was fantastic. Favorite dishes were the ricotta crostini and the creste rigate. Everything else was fantastic, those were just the most memorable. My next favorite items (in order from fav to least fav) were the rice ball, ricotta cheesecake, raw Brussel sprouts salad, fried calamari, and then the penne. The service was fantastic! Andres did a great job serving us and we got to speak with the manager, Chelsea, who was also lovely. I enjoyed the dim lighting and the general vibe of the restaurant. It was a bit loud, but that kind of added the the Italian family vibe they have going. I have to say, the most impressive thing was the playlist!

We had a very nice server and there’s a great ambiance at Scopa, perfect for dates and connecting with friends alike. They have a gorgeous bar, large window, candles on the tables, and all of our food came perfectly coursed. We were easily able to make a same-day reservation via the Resy app, and I do recommend making a reservation in advance because it was popping when we arrived. For parking, you can either park in the connected valet lot ($13 on a Monday) or look for free street parking (we found it pretty easily, but then again it was a Monday). There are the top four absolute must-order items you should order to share: 1. Hot Antipasti - Scallops Oreganata ($23) with brown butter, bread crumbs, & lemon. I’m gluten free so I asked for no breadcrumbs, and I also recommend ordering a side of gluten free bread to dip in the brown butter after you finish enjoying the scallops because they have the absolute best gluten free cheesecheese bread! They only came with 2 scallops in an order so consider ordering enough so each person can have at least 1 full scallop. 2. Hot Antipasti - Mortadella Meatballs ($21) with pistachio pesto, arugula, & parmesan cheese. This came with 3 medium-large sized meatballs covered in a delicious green pesto - don’t let looks deceive you, even if this isn’t how you expect meatballs to look they’re delish. 3. Cold Antipasti - Heirloom Tomatoes ($18) with sweet onion, basil, ricotta salata cheese, sherry vinegar, & olive oil. If you enjoy tomatoes of all shapes and sizes, this is the dish for you. My favorite were the little orange tomatoes. 4. Salad - Raw Brussels Sprouts Salad ($22) with generous pecorino romano cheese, parsley, grapes, olive oil, sherry vinegar, & toasted almonds. This was a good portion size and the best raw Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. While I did really enjoy the flavor of oysters themselves and their sauces, and I do want to put them as item 5 to order, each of the oysters had some shell bits had to spit out, and it only came with 1 spoon and 0 mini forks. The oysters come with lemon slices, cocktail sauce, shredded horseradish, mignonette, and are $4.50 each with a minimum of 6. I would order them again, but enjoy them carefully and hope that they’re shucked better next time. However… Maybe things were off because it was a Monday and they had multiple large last minute parties walk in. Maybe I should have gone for the pastas instead of the below because it is an Italian restaurant. Maybe I’m just a person who enjoys more seasoning on seafood or less sauce on pork chops, but a few of the dishes weren’t exactly as good as I was expecting. Unless you love canned tuna, absolutely avoid the Sicilian Tuna Cold Antipasti ($19) with market green beans, fingerling potato, capers, lemon, & olive oil. It wasn’t until we mentioned to our server our strong disappointment with the dish, as we were expecting either Tuna Crudo or Seared Tuna, that our server told us that he usually steers guests away from it. It also had zero seasoning, and boy did it need it. It also feels like this dish should have automatically been served with crackers. The Amberjack Crudo ($25) with watermelon radish, bulls blood micro greens, & herb oil needed a combo-sauce or a stronger flavored oil, as it was very bland as-is. Luckily not a fishy-fish, but still lackluster for their only fish crudo on the menu. For the Mains, they were already sold out of the 24oz T-bone Steak ($82) when we arrived, and the server recommended the Pork Chop. The generous portion of Pork Chop ($66) came with crispy fingerling potatoes, roasted shallots, olives, capers, garlic, balsamic vinegar, & fresh herbs. The balsamic was more of a thick, sweet, heavy glaze, and it overpowered the meat. Personally, we both felt it was over-sauced.

I have to say that restaurant is beautiful, with a great ambiance, and our waiter Shawn was absolutely fantastic! Overall the service was top notch: fast but not rushing, very friendly and welcoming. It’s the food that was underwhelming for me. Seafood salad was ok, very simple, almost one note lemon-y in flavor, but ingredients were definitely of a nice quality. My steak tartare, that I was so excited about, was very disappointing. Under seasoned and almost like with too much lemon juice. I asked for salt, but that didn’t change much. The lardon toast was actually good, however it shouldn’t be the star of the dish. Cocktails were alright, nothing special (I believe I ordered Fist of Fury). Maybe I ordered wrong food? But you’d expect everything on the menu I a restaurant like this should be on point. Perhaps I should have been more honest with our waiter when he was checking in on us, but I just get uncomfortable complaining.

We were a bit disappointed with the food overall. The Brussels sprouts salad felt more like a cheese dish than a salad, as the amount of cheese in the dish doubled the Brussels sprouts, overpowering the greens. The clam linguine was heavy, with a lot of butter and salt. The broccolini had an overwhelming amount of lemon juice, making it very sour, and the crudo’s seasoning felt slightly off — the herb on top added a bitterness that didn’t quite work for us. The squash blossoms were the highlight, crispy, light, and really enjoyable. Service was warm and attentive throughout, which we appreciated.

(As other reviewers have written: THE MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD!!!). Ok. So. The food was phenomenal, no question. It was delicious, creative, and all around really tasty. But I'm giving this restaurant a 2 for a few reasons: 1) The service was really poor. We were 3 women and my friend waited 15 minutes for tea. The staff kept saying "oh yeah it's coming," but we had to nudge 3-4 times and then when it came, it was just a cup (no hot water or tea bag) and then we had to wait another 15 minutes to get the tea bag. We got the dessert menu and then waited for 15-20 minutes for someone to come back to ask if we wanted to order any dessert. When we brought this up to the waiter, he said, "Sorry. I was doing wine service," basically confirming that people who spend more money get better service. Definitely wouldn't come back after the service was just...so...poor. 2) The bigger issue had to do with issues of gender. It would so nice to go out to a restaurant and just be treated like a person, regardless of our genitalia or reproductive organs. But the entire time we were either addressed as "guys" (we're not guys and patriarchal language has no place in 2025) or "loves." I watched Top Chef and remember Antonia commenting on how the kitchen is a boys' club, how hard it was to "get in the door," and how poorly women are treated in the kitchen. To come to her restaurant (again -- food was out of this world) and be treated as second-class citizens was mind-boggling to me. We were called "guys" the entire time (you wouldn't go up to a table of men and say "hi ladies, what can I get you" so why are women still being called "guys," as in, "what can I get you guys?"). But on top of that, because we didn't order wine, we got really poor service and were literally told that things took longer at our table because other people had ordered wine. Would love to know what it would have been like to sit at this restaurant as a man. Would we have been paid more attention to? I wonder what Antonia thinks of this in her restaurant! Can't imagine she'd be pleased. Anyway, I would order out from this place because I'd eat the food again. But would definitely not go back to be served -- or not served -- by the staff.
