What an amazing place. We happened upon a family gathering. Despite this, we were treated like royalty. Fantastic dishes and very generous portions. A wonderful dessert. And most importantly, such dishes are served far from large, sprawling cities. So local, yet truly Spanish. Fantastic.

Second time at Casa Fidalgo, just to confirm my opinion; this time I'm doing the Ourense route. The best ribeye steak on that whole route. The service is phenomenal; the staff and the manager are incredibly attentive and respectful. It's worth driving 17 minutes from Lugo for that ribeye, believe me. What more can I add, dear reader? I selected the option for dishes over €20, but only one actually cost more than €20, and that was the ribeye (€23), which was easily enough for two people and my dog ​​was happy. All the other dishes were under €15. Go and see for yourselves.

Great local roadside restaurant in Galicia. Called in whilst touring the area, definitely a local working lunch spot. Menu del dia options were tasty and good portions. Friendly staff happy to help us with our woeful Spanish even though the place was very busy.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch on our way to León. It was a bit challenging because they didn't speak English, but the owner was friendly and the food was delicious. This was the first restaurant I've had food that wasn't salty since coming to Spain!!! It was truly the best. I'm going to overeat today.

Cuando vamos a Orense paramos a desayunar aquí y es que nos encanta su profesionalidad y el desayuno que tomamos. Pedimos siempre un bocadillo de jamón que está riquísimo, tanto el pan como el jamón.…

I really wanted to eat there because I didn't make a reservation! I'll keep it in mind for another day. I'm just writing this review to say that they were incredibly friendly. They checked the tables to see if any were available, but no, it was too early. Everyone was seated. We were just passing through in our campervan, but I'll definitely be back to eat there at the first opportunity. And yes, campervan people use restaurants too! 🤣

We were traveling and stopped in this town for lunch after reading the good reviews. Everything was fine and quite good. The set lunch menu is €11. The waitress who served us was very nice, and the staff in general were too. The potato stew was very good. I liked the noodles with clams a little less (the noodles were a bit bland for my taste). However, the hake was delicious. It was cooked to perfection. And the steak was also very good. They told us that if we were still hungry, they would serve us more. The staff were really great. For dessert, we ordered Santiago cake and lemon tart, both of which were delicious.

Los descubrimos de camino y aconsejados por un vecino. Tomamos 3 menús al mediodía y todo muy bien, el churrasco era de lo mas completo. El café de puchero fue la novedad de la comida.

No admiten perros en terraza para comer. No nos dejaron comer en la terraza con el perro, que era imposible montarnos fuera una mesa.
