Ήρεμο απλό λιτό καθαρό με τόση όση μουσική να χαϊδεύει ώτα αυτιά ψκωοι γεύσεις τον ουρανισκο . Μπράβο στον σεφ που η γεύση κ η επιγευση χορευαν αρμονικά με γκουρμέ εκδοχές των πιάτων που σου έδιναν μια γευστική κ στομαχικη πληρότητα κ ένα θαυμα οφθαλμων συγχρόνως . Όχι απλησιαστο γι'αυτό που πρεσβευε πολύ λογικες οι τιμές κ τα πιάτα κορυφαία .Το ωραιότερο ταρταρ !!!

Κάθε φορά που βρισκόμαστε στην Αθήνα κάνουμε κράτηση σε κάποιο καλό εστιατόριο, έτσι και αυτή τη φορά επισκεφθήκαμε το Simul. Ξεκινήσαμε προκατειλημμένα, με τη λογική ότι πηγαίνουμε πιο πολύ για τις γεύσεις των πιάτων και τα ιδιαίτερα υλικά που δε συναντάς σε όλα τα εστιατόρια, παρά για να χορτάσουμε, σκεπτόμενοι στην τελική ότι αν φύγουμε από το Simul νηστικοί, το βράδυ θα πάμε κάπου αλλού για σουβλάκια.. Ήμασταν μια παρέα 3 ατόμων και συνολικά πήραμε 6 πιάτα και τα 2 γλυκά του μενού. Όλα τα μοιραστήκαμε ώστε να δοκιμάσουμε όλοι από όλες τις γεύσεις και ο καθένας μας ήπιε από 2 κοκτέιλ. Φάγαμε από κάθε πιάτο 2 με 3 πηρουνιές, αφού τόσο αναλογούσε στον καθένα μας. Παρόλα αυτά, όταν φύγαμε κάθε άλλο παρά νηστικοί δεν αισθανθήκαμε. Τα φαγητά ήταν χορταστικά και πεντανόστιμα, ο χώρος καθαρός και με ωραία αισθητική, το προσωπικό ευγενικό, εξυπηρετικότατο και με ενσυναίσθηση, ρωτώντας μας εξ αρχής αν έχει κανείς μας τυχόν αλλεργίες που θα έπρεπε να γνωρίζουν, μάλιστα σε κάθε πιάτο που μας έφερναν, μας εξηγούσαν τι ακριβώς περιείχε. Ένας εξ ημών έχει αλλεργία στα κουκιά, συστατικό το οποίο δεν περιέχεται στα υλικά που χρησιμοποιεί το Simul στην κουζίνα του. Σίγουρα είναι ένα εστιατόριο που δεν απευθύνεται σε όλα τα βαλάντια, όμως αξίζει έστω και μια φορά να το επισκεφθεί κανείς για τις ξεχωριστές γεύσεις του, τις οποίες δεν τρώει κανείς κάθε μέρα.

Πρώτη φορά στο εστιατόριο, η εμπειρία μοναδική.Ολα τα πιάτα που δοκιμάσαμε εξαιρετικά και πεντανόστιμα, μια πανδαισία γεύσεων.Πηραμε το μενού που προτείνει το μαγαζί. Ενα μεγάλο μπράβο στον σεφ και στην ομάδα του. Ελπίζω να δοκιμάσουμε και άλλες μοναδικές γεύσεις. Ο χώρος του εστιατορίου είναι απλός, λιτός και καθαρός.Το προσωπικό πολύ φιλικό, ευγενικό και μας εξηγούσε τι περιέχει το κάθε πιάτο. Ευχαριστούμε πολύ για αυτή την όμορφη βραδιά. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα.

Ottimo ristorante

I cannot fault our experience at Simul. My fiance and I went for the last meal of our weekend trip and it absolutely did not disappoint. What we could not work out, however, was *why* we were the only table (in the part of the restaurant we were in) doing the tasting menu, and therefore the only table doing the wine pairing?! It was truly brilliant and we felt it was a shame no one else in the restaurant appeared to choose the tasting menu. The sommelier (we didn't catch his name) was fantastic - very thorough in his explanations and clearly he had worked very closely with the head chef to create what we thought was an immaculately paired wine flight, with a mix of Greek and foreign wines. The service from the rest of the team was seamless. The tasting menu was gorgeous - everything was so rich in flavour, and felt very deliberate. We especially liked the smoked eel and beef tartare, and the mushroom butter with milk bread. Overall, we loved this restaurant - the tasting menu and wine pairing is a must. Excellent value for money at €90 for the tasting menu and €70 for the wine flight - can't think of a tasting menu we have had recently at this quality for that price point. You will not regret it!!

Very creative and tasty bistronomic food in a friendly and cozy atmosphere. Seasoning is a tiny bit strong on some plates.

This restaurant is a must visit in Athens. It breaths honesty down to its core. The atmosphere is pleasant, service is impeccable, informed, and kind. They make you feel welcome. Food carries the logic of plates to share. And they do accomplish to elevate your gastronomic experience with their honesty and their imagination. Great service, delicious dishes! I mostly enjoyed the chicken with trachanoto and arseniko cheese, but the rest dishes were really tasty as well. The staff was amazing, when I chose the wine they informed me that it was quite strong, I should give it a chance and if it was not to my liking, they would bring another! Service was impeccable, the little chocolate with the bill helped as well 🙂

Great place for delicious food. The menu is small and based on the principle of people sharing dishes. We opted for four dishes and wine and they were all absolutely mouthwatering. Hard to pick a favorite but it had to be one out of the beef tartare, the beef (?) heart skewer, the chanterelle mushrooms and quail pile, it would have to be the latter one. Just out of this world tasty. Would definitely return to try the seafood dishes as well.

We visited Simul with the dine Athens program and we were thankful that we managed to book a table there. The place and the atmosphere are very relaxed and the music choices are excellent. Concerning the food all dishes were delicious (not sure if they are part of the standard menu though) and the quantinty was just right. I enjoyed the variety of them, from fish to vegeterian to meat. Wine was list also very interesting and we tried the Malagouzia from Tatsis winery which was a perfect match for the menu. Totally worth a visit

Wow, this is what we can say about our taste experience here - and this is not all. We have been to a lot of pop restaurants and a few fine dining ones, but surely this was the best till now. The taste, the serving, the hospitality. We will take the dishes one by one: 1. The bread and the butter. Very nice, we would recommend a bit of seasoning of the plain butter - maybe salt - but all was so qualitative. 2. Beef tartar was like a story. The tastebuds were flourishing after the first bite. 3. The cabbage: we never experienced this type of combination. It was a surprise, its sweetness was delightful. 4. The grilled squid: the most tender and tasteful calamari. The taste of grill. The sauce. Great, our favourite. 5. Iberian pork: like a beautiful and precious veal steak, so smooth and somehow crispy. This is where we should have stopped since we were full. But we continued :) 6. The 🐓 rooster: it was not really my taste. But i can acknowledge the craft in it. My significant other was full, but he enjoyed it till the end. Sooo, once again we should have stopped, but we did not. We asked for some desserts and...we liked one of them the most: 7. Creme brulee: was actually more of the crema catalana because of the creaminess. The top sugar was caramelized so well. The surprise was that it came with a "nest" full of camomile foam and a spoon of ice cream. Divine 8. The chocolate mousse was ok, it was buttery. But nothing compares, as in the song, with the creme brulee. 9. The cocktails were also very daring and tasty, especially φι. For us it was a special dinner and we thank the chef and the team. We will come back here and hopefully Simul will get its Michelin star(s) - but please don't make it more expensive :)) P.S.: Sorry for the low quality of pics, they are not emphasizing the true look and greatness of the food.

4.3/5 Είναι η 2η φορά που επισκέπτομαι το εστιατόριο του Νίκου Θωμά. Πήραμε το menu degustation προσθέτοντας 2 έξτρα στάδια από τον κατάλογο. Αρχικά θα πω ότι πρέπει να είναι η καλύτερη εξυπηρέτηση που έχω συνάντηση σε fine dining εστιατόριο. Το φαγητό ήταν πολύ καλό αλλά περίμενα το κάτι λίγο παραπάνω. Κάποια πιάτα μου φάνηκαν λίγο αναμενόμενα όσον αφορά στις γεύσεις χωρίς να σημαίνει ότι δεν είναι νόστιμα. Το μόνο που πραγματικά δε μπόρεσα να φάω ήταν το carpaccio με το αρνί, για τα δικά μου γούστα ήταν εξαιρετικά έντονη η γεύση και μυρωδιά του αρνιού. Τα γλυκά επίσης δεν θα έλεγα ότι ήταν από τα δυνατά σημεία του menu. Η ατμόσφαιρα είναι πολύ cozy και με ωραία μουσική.

Φαγητό: πήραμε το μενού γευσιγνωσίας και προσθέσαμε 2 πιάτα επιπλέον. Το μενού είχε αρκετές διαφορετικές γεύσεις και ωραίους γευστικούς συνδυασμούς. Σίγουρα υπάρχει περιθώριο βελτίωσης αλλά σε γενικές γραμμές έμεινα αρκετά ευχαριστημένος. Το μόνο πιάτο που με απογοήτευσε ήταν το carpaccio αρνιού. Η μυρωδιά ήταν έντονη και όχι πολύ ευχάριστη. Γευστικά άφηνε ένα καλό aftertaste. Σερβίς: η εξυπηρέτηση ήταν άριστη ! Ευγενικό προσωπικό, γρήγορο και με πολύ καλές γνώσεις του μενού . Ατμόσφαιρα: μικρός χώρος και ζεστός (cozy) όπως και μ αρέσει . Συμπέρασμα: σίγουρα θα ήθελα να το ξαναδοκιμάσω στο μέλλον εφόσον υπάρξει καινούριο μενού degustation.

Nice restaurant , fine dining, calm exterior area with cozy atmosphere. We tried several plates all of them made with interesting approaches and qood ingredients. For the level of the prices vs overall taste experience I am not 100 % if it is truly value for money.

The female sommelier lady provides an excellent service, perhaps even too good for this place, she certainly knows how to be attentive and constantly keeps an eye on all the tables. Perfection and it really made us appreciated this evening. We have tried the degustation menu & it is a bit of hit and miss - some of the dishes were delicious (cheeks, fish, desserts, amuse bouche) and some were either plain (cauliflower, lamb) or burnt (the poor octopus was rather inedible). 🤷‍♀️ The price for the degustation menu is only 80 euros and you get extra amuse bouche and also one pre-desert. Wine pairing was around 50€, thus price point is pretty low and therefore we don’t mind we didn’t really like some of the dishes. They also are pretty good in adjusting the dishes, in case you have a gluten allergy.

Επισκεφθήκαμε το μαγαζί έχοντας μεγάλες προσδοκίες. Παραγγείλαμε 4 πιάτα και ένα μπουκάλι κρασί. Το ταρτάρ μοσχαριού, ενώ από υφές και ποιότητα ήταν εξαιρετικό θύμιζε πιο πολύ street taco στην γεύση. Η σαλάτα με τομάτα και φράουλες δυστυχώς ήταν μια κακή γλυκιά απομίμηση της ελληνικής χωριάτικης. Το καλαμάρι ήταν πολύ μέτριο, καθώς είχε παραψηθει. Βέβαια όλα αυτά μοιάζουν μικρά μπροστά στο τελευταίο πιάτο. Mac and cheese με αστακό. Τι να πιάσει κανείς. Το πιάτο κοστίζει 30€, η μερίδα είχε ζήτημα 100 γραμμάρια πάστα και 20 γραμμάρια αστακού. Και όχι, δεν ήταν καν ο αστακός όπως θα έπρεπε να είναι. Ο αστακός σερβιρίστηκε στο πιάτο ψιλοκομμένος. Βρήκα το πιάτο αυτό κοροϊδία και είμαι σίγουρος πως ο σεφ δεν θα το σέρβιρε στον εαυτό του έτσι. Το προσωπικό ήταν φιλικό αλλά υπήρχε μια διαρκής «επιτήρηση» με αποτέλεσμα να μην μπορείς καν να ολοκληρώσεις το πιάτο και να σε ρωτάνε αν μπορούν να στο σερβίρουν για να το πάρουν. Δεν θα το πρότεινα, το κόστος αντιστοιχεί σε ένα μαγαζί με αστέρι Michelin δυστυχώς όμως χωρίς να ανταποκρίνεται στις απαιτούμενες προσδοκίες.

Πολύ καλό φαγητό, ωραίες γεύσεις. Προσεγμένα πιάτα, Τα τοπ είναι ο κόκορας με τον τραχανά, το συκώτι και το ταρταρ τόνου. Πολύ ιδιαίτερο με πολύ δυνατή γεύση το καλαμάρι. Γαστρονομικά είναι πάρα πολύ καλό, ΌΜΩΣ δεν είναι αποδεκτό σε ένα τραπέζι 4 ατόμων που κάνουν λογαριασμό 330 ευρώ και έχεις ήδη χρεώσει 3 ευρώ το άτομο το ψωμί να χρεώνεις 1 ευρώ έξτρα επειδή ζήτησα μια ακομα φέτα ψωμί. Δεν είναι το 1 ευρώ, είναι η νοοτροπία.

There’s much to enjoy about Simul. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is enjoyable. However, as a restaurant, the main question is about the food. And, unfortunately, I found the food a disappointment. Of the 6 savoury dishes featured in the tasty menu, 3 leaned acidic, if not vinegary. Not inedible, just not balanced. Further, the squid and cod dishes were slightly overcooked. Not what I expect from a restaurant with this high of reputation, rating, and price. The beef course was the most classic tasting, balanced, and strongest of the savoury dishes. The desserts were a very redeemable end. Not a bad meal, just not worth the cost in my opinion. Perhaps the a la carte is the way to go.
