A regular for years, this is Oscar's first time managing the restaurant, but the excellent quality remains consistent. The braised pork cheek is excellent, as are all the traditional Cuneo dishes.
The food is decidedly good, both in quality with its elaborate appetizers and first courses, and in quantity, given the number of dishes on the menu. The price is fair, slightly higher than other agritourism establishments in the area, given some of the revisited and elaborate dishes.
Oscar and his wife run this trattoria with great care and passion. The quality of the dishes is very high, featuring typical Piedmontese cuisine. The place is small but very charming and intimate. The cheese gnocchi and the tagliata are definitely worth trying!
Our encounter with this restaurant on our journey from Turin to Cuneo was a truly fortunate coincidence. The staff's kindness and hospitality are exemplary. The atmosphere is familiar and intimate, yet with a touch of discreet elegance that makes it charming. The menu is inspired by Piedmontese tradition and beautifully showcases local products. The composition of the dishes is modern and imaginative, with an attention to color that makes each dish a small work of art. The portions are generous and the prices are absolutely fair, especially considering the quality. A restaurant we will definitely keep in mind when we return to the Granda Province.
We were traveling from Turin and stumbled upon this trattoria by chance. I have to say, it will always remain in my heart! The welcome was truly wow-worthy, the owner was very friendly, the waiters were kind, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was unique and meticulously maintained. I hope to return someday; it's worth a visit!
La Ripa was a lovely surprise. My wife had eaten here years ago under the old management, and it was a great place. The new management has outdone itself. Excellent Piedmontese cuisine. We had the tasting menu, and it was fantastic. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Everything was excellent, I highly recommend it.
An unforgettable lunch in an authentic corner of Piedmont! From the moment you enter, you sense a warm and familiar atmosphere, thanks to a welcome that I would simply describe as "wow." The gastronomic journey began with a surprising appetizer: veal with tuna sauce and Fassona tartare, a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Next came the classic and irresistible bagna cauda, served with the freshest vegetables that enhanced the intense flavors of the sauce. The first courses were a true triumph of flavor: gnocchi with fondue, soft and enveloped in a creamy cheese sauce that smelled of the mountains. The second course was a wealth of flavors with polenta, mashed potatoes, and a delicious pork—the name of which unfortunately escapes me, but which was cooked to perfection. To conclude, a dessert that combines tradition and celebration: panettone with cream, soft and delicious, the perfect way to top off the meal. A high-quality local wine paired everything, making the experience even more enjoyable. A restaurant that offers more than just food, but a journey through Piedmontese flavors and hospitality. I can't wait to return!

One of the best experiences we’ve had!! Everyone was so nice to my husband and I (I am Australian and he is French) and they made us feel so welcome. The place is so cosy with a lovely ambience. The food was incredible 🤤 Definitely recommend the gnocchi and also the polenta with the ragu sauce. We will remember this experience always! Thank you so much! We hope to come back one day 🥰
I was at Ripa, during a family lunch, on May 1st, a group of 12 people. The owners are exquisite, kind people, the food is excellent and the portions are very generous!! In fact, we only ordered 2 dishes each! In order to enjoy 2 first courses, I asked for "princess" portions (half portions). The raw materials are very fresh and carefully chosen, you can taste everything! They also made me an excellent fruit tart! They have excellent local beers, Anima. The service was perhaps a little slow, we arrived at 1 pm and left almost at 5 pm.
We vacationed two weeks without a really delicious meal. Here at this lovely trattoria, we were treated with meals made with joy and attention to detail. The favors you dream of when on holiday. We visited 4 countries and ate foods with zero inspiration. Here, the epically well presented and delectable dishes were and are of the highest traditional quality, if not higher. The wine selection is of this area and specifically labeled for this trattoria. From start to finish, the entire meal was a delight, as well as the lovely couple that are the proprietors. We will return here, so worth every ❤️ 💕 cent and more.
One star less for the food (fantastic), but there's no clear cut line for flavor. Either bland or salty. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, beautifully presented. Four stars for the atmosphere because it's too hot, and two simple fans are of little use. The place is otherwise intimate, clean, and tidy. Oscar is an attentive, helpful, and kind host with an old-fashioned charm. The lady is VERY SWEET. Prices....there's nothing cheap anywhere these days, but it's worth it.

Tipica trattoria piemontese senza particolari che spiccano. Menu molto breve, porzioni molto abbondanti che comunque rispecchiano i prezzi molto alti. La cucina è buona. C'è un bel cane, del titolare…
It was a good experience until the end. The bottle of wine was 13€ in the menu and 14€ on the (hand written) bill. I pointed this issue and the mister said (with disgust) cause I dared to check what I am paying for, "there must be a mistake in the menu". !!! I was shocked. I wanted to say "then it is YOUR mistake, and I don't see why I have to pay for it!? Change your menu!" But I am too civilised and just preferred to leave without fully ruining my evening. Horrible attitude. Learn what really means customer service and then pretend like you are a special venue! The raw meat from the appetiser is not for everyone! Check if the person you are serving it to, eats raw meat and if not, adapt! But it takes skills for that too...There are other places worth our money in the region for sure!
