A small village within a village: a family-run restaurant and rooms, beautifully maintained in an antique style and tastefully decorated, brimming with charm and the flavors of times gone by. The rooms are beautiful, with exposed beams. Comfortable beds and spacious Italian-style showers (without a shower tray). A selection of local wines and an exceptional dinner. A perfect stopover just 15 minutes from Asti. The outdoor jacuzzi (we didn't use it because it was a bit chilly) is the icing on the cake for a lovely weekend with friends. Indoor parking in the courtyard for three or four cars.
A charming, relaxing, and intimate place run by Francesca, an excellent cook who delighted us with a memorable dinner, Ettore, and Rebecca. Truly well done, you were a wonderful discovery. See you soon!! Silvia
A fantastic place, absolute tranquility, and above all the fantastic owners who make you feel at home. The rooms are very very clean and tidy. Typical Piedmontese food, all fresh and homemade, excellent quality products. And finally excellent value for money! What can I say then, absolutely highly recommended, we will definitely be back!! 🤩🤩
A magical courtyard, a unique atmosphere, and incredibly friendly and surprising staff. Perfectly maintained spaces and superb food, local products divinely prepared by Francesca, the hostess and undisputed queen of her kitchen. Ettore and Elvira will pamper you in the dining room. In short, one of those places you fall madly in love with.
A splendid gem of relaxation and pampering in an environment with meticulous attention to detail. The owner, Francesca, and her family are exquisite, helpful, and ready to fulfill every wish. The small pool with jacuzzi, which can be reserved exclusively for you, including bubbles, was a delightful surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Marcella and Andrea Laura and Roberto
We visited Culla di Bacco for a Sunday lunch with friends, featuring sgonfiotti with lard, boiled meats with sauces and mustard, cappelletti in broth, and finally bunet (a type of pasta) and homemade tart, all accompanied by an excellent bottle of Barbera. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service attentive yet informal and pleasantly familiar; the quality/price ratio was excellent. Congratulations!
We had dinner for two on Valentine's Day in a delightful shabby chic setting. The set menu included sgonfiotti with lard, delicious vitello tonnato, cheese puff pastry, and zucchini flowers, followed by a first course of two large ravioli filled with burrata. The second course, which we had seconds of, was tender and flavorful chicken rolls accompanied by mashed potatoes. Desserts included a choice of tarts or tiramisu, and everyone a puff pastry with berries for Valentine's Day. Coffee and a digestif were included. Attentive service and the friendliness of Francesca and Ettore, the owners of this bed and breakfast, make it an experience I highly recommend.
Nice place to dine.
We had lunch today in this charming place, furnished with care and taste. The veranda overlooks a breathtaking view. The owners were incredibly kind and made us feel at home, and the set menu was all prepared by the lady who reserved vegetarian options for me, as I requested. Six or seven appetizers, borage ravioli with very thin pasta and a delicious filling, a main course with a side dish, six different desserts, coffee, liqueurs, and wine. Excellent value. We'll definitely be back!
Top!!!
Fantastic little romantic hotel and restaurant in a great location. The hosts Francesca and Ettore made us feel very welcome we will be back soon I hope
Wonderfull, quiet place estabilished with a passion for detail. Belissimo
An amazing place Taste Service Un-matched
Much confortable. The food is very tasty, the owners are adorable and the place is perfect for a weekend in the wineries.
A charming and welcoming restaurant in the heart of the Monferrato hills, perfect for a romantic dinner or a special evening immersed in the flavors of Piedmont. The restaurant serves traditional local dishes, often set menus featuring appetizers, first courses (such as risotto al Ruché or homemade agnolotti), second courses, and traditional desserts prepared with select ingredients and a focus on seasonality.
Dinner for two. Arriving at sunset, before entering the village, you can see spectacular and romantic views from some of the streets. Dinner was served on a small, cozy veranda. There was background music and a light on the table. Just a few tables, spaced appropriately apart. The same menu was served for everyone, although some guests requested small changes, which were accommodated. Service was fast, friendly, and always prompt. Good-quality dishes with generous portions that allowed you to fully enjoy dessert, but every course always had second helpings. The hosts are friendly and very kind, always ready for a chat. The property is also a B&B, enclosed in a private courtyard, including parking. From the veranda, you can see the solarium with a hot tub. Everything was clean and tidy.
Disclaimer: I'm only reviewing the restaurant, having never stayed there, but having dined there several times. I've been there a few times in recent years: the quality of the dishes is very good, no complaints there, but over the years the price of the set menu has increased and the portions have decreased. I understand the increase in costs, but having seen the "before and after," it's disappointing. I would have preferred a greater price increase but still have the same quantity and variety as a few years ago. Nice place, friendly service, but parking is difficult to find, especially during local events.
I was visiting from Canada with my spouse, who is Italian. The host was rude and condescending. Though she knew I spoke no Italian instead of talking to me through my spouse she would just yell at me in Italian, like I was deaf. Also, the wifi doesn't work in the rooms on the right of the courtyard, the structure is too thick so you have to physically go outside to connect to the internet and use it. And you can't use the pool unless you pay extra. This place was over priced, had bad service, and the food was mediocre. Would NOT recommend, especially for non-Italian speakers.
