La Ciminiera is a Roman restaurant located in Alzano. If you missed your Rome vacation, this is an excellent trattoria where you can console yourself and take a journey through the flavors of the capital. First, we started with a platter of mixed Roman antipasti, a bit spicy and hearty. We tried their flavorful traditional pasta dishes: carbonara, cacio e pepe, and gricia. If you're a carbonara lover, you'll definitely be lip-smacking! For main courses, we ordered saltimbocca alla romana, fried lamb, and the signature coda alla vaccinara. All three were delicious, but the coda alla vaccinara with its dusting of cocoa was truly special. Finally, for dessert, a delicious tiramisu and slices of chocolate salami are a must. In short, a perfect place if you're tired of the same old Lombard cuisine and want to sample some of the Eternal City's delicacies.

A great discovery and a delightful atmosphere!! Dinner with friends. We loved the food, the attention to detail in the plating, and the kindness of all the staff. The preparation time and the fact that even though there were 9 of us, our tables were served at the same time!! We'll definitely be back! I'm giving the atmosphere 4 stars only because I can now recommend some soundproofing panels.

Very friendly staff, Roman food, my wife, who is Roman, said the bucatini alla matriciana was like her grandmother's homemade ones. She began with "cheeeee bbboooniiii!!" The same goes for the other dishes. Recommended for trying the "De' Roma" cream dishes. Very fair prices.

Imagine a sunny, humid Sunday in mid-October; on the way back to Milan, we're looking for a place to have lunch. A quick Google search and we find Trattoria La Ciminiera. I make a quick reservation, and at 12:30 we're ready with a bruschetta of chicory, anchovies, and mozzarella that's a dream. The gricia and amatriciana are generous and expertly prepared, while the tiramisu was a cloud. All accompanied by an excellent house white wine. The bill is very fair, and limoncello is included. The staff is courteous, punctual, and very professional, from the dining room to the owner, a true Roman. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended for travelers and non-travelers alike.

Easy lunch Simple no-frills menu, I liked their cuisine because no dish was overly exaggerated with strange ingredients. Portions aren't very large, which suited me fine. Staff were warm and friendly.

Totally in love with this restaurant! I ended up going more than once, for dinner and lunch, and had the chance to try several items from the menu (pollo con i peperoni, tortelli cremaschi, bruschetta, pasta cacio and pepe...) and absolutely everything was delicious! Totally recommend getting the full menu, it will be worth it. Besides that, the place is super clean, tidy and the staff is extremely friendly! Strongly recommend getting the pollo con i peperoni with the patate al forno, great combination!

I enjoyed this small, quiet trattoria; the place is tidy and pleasant, and you feel right at home. I tried the tortelli cremaschi for a starter, the Salva cheese with tighe (a local term for green peppers), and the dark chocolate hearts for dessert. Everything was delicious, and the dishes arrived quickly. I enjoyed the service and the friendliness. The staff was helpful and courteous. Well done.

A trattoria, but not quite. Warm and clean, it serves well-crafted, typically Roman dishes. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, and the prices are more like a restaurant, which is why it's a trattoria, but not quite. However, if you like this type of cuisine, it's worth a try. Enjoy your meal!

A friend brought me to try the red rice. Very nice place with good service. The red rice is excellent as is the second course, pork coppa with red cabbage. White wine to accompany everything.
