It's Milan, there are lots of blow-your-mind restaurants to find, this is no exception a true, traditional, off the beaten track gem. This is not the fanciest place to look at but its the real deal, filled with locals that know good food at a good price. The food was exquisite. A great choice of dishes beautifully cooked and served by attentive staff with a very friendly approach and relaxed professionalism. The wine list and choice was huge, my Italian colleague picked the wine and for 30 EURO I think its the best red wine I've ever had! The bill when it came was a pleasant surprise 😮 The value for money, at this superb quality was outstanding. In the tourist hotshots it would have been 2x or even 3x the cost. It's worth a taxi ride, believe me. Highly recommended.
We have gone here twice and both times every dish we got was delicious. The pasta, risotto, steak and veal cutlet were all amazing. The staff were very attentive and provided excellent service while all speaking English. The price is very reasonable especially for the quality.
Excellent food, efficient service and great value. Very happy with my meal. Every dish was good, parpadelle with funghi porcini delicious, grilled steak cutlet perfectly juicy, and pistachio white chocolate tart for dessert. Strongly recommend.
Absolutely authentic local Italian restaurant. I loved all the foods, especially the steak was so tender and tasty. With potato chips was a great combination. Always finished with tiramisu, it was so delicious. Compared to the touristic area, the price is so affordable, but amazing quality. Will definitely going back when I go to Milan again.
The T-bone steak was amazing but tasted more or less like any American steak with salt and pepper. I’d love to get the beef carpaccio next time since I feel that this dish is more uniquely Italian and tastes better. Unfortunately, the carpaccio option was only for two or more people. Tiramisu is house-made but was a bit too sweet for me. The tiramisu came with additional sweet cookies. Service was amazing. Seemed like much-loved restaurant by the locals.
Buono! The food was delicious and steak was perfectly cooked. "Fake carbonara" is more like Milan style. (It's similar to Milanese risotto with zafferano). Every server was very friendly and nice. Especially, the server whose name is Niko was very kind and pleasant. Thanks to him I had really nice time in this restaurant. The panacotta was the best one l've ever ate. Serve with fresh berries, have a very rich milk flavor. I recommend this restaurant if you want some good Italian food for an affordable price in Milan.
Cozy little restaurant. A little intimidating at first for a tourist as you can’t look into the restaurant because there’s no window. But once you’ve enter you will feel very welcoming by the ambience and their friendly waiter. English menu is provided. Food is authentic but the highlight is the T bone steak which is done just right. Price is also very reasonable. Highly recommended!
If you're looking for a fantastic and authentic Italian dining experience in Milan, look no further than this restaurant. As a tourist, I appreciate that they offer a menu in English, making it easy to navigate the delicious choices. But it's not just the language that sets this restaurant apart - the service is exceptional. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, making suggestions that were nothing short of exquisite. From the moment we sat down, we felt welcomed and taken care of. And the food! Oh, the food. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of sauce and seasoning. And the cottolette? Simply delicious - I could have eaten two more! The quality of the ingredients really shines through in every bite. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also a treat. The decoration creates a rustic and cozy ambiance, transporting you to the heart of Italy. It's a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Milan. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Milan. From the attentive service to the delicious food and charming atmosphere, it's a true gem.
We came before lunch hour, when the restaurant was empty - and by the time we finished, it was almost packed full. Firstly, excellent service - staff were attentive and courteous. We tried the prosciutto with mozzarella, porcini ravioli (to die for), cotoletta, grilled sea bass, and panna cotta for dessert - they were all very good. Great location, near stazione centrale. Prices are average. The interior is a bit dark, but has a nice rustic touch - very clean nonetheless. Overall, a nice experience.
The entrance isn’t so noticeable because their door is closed instead of open. But once you stepped in, you can feel it’s home. The must try item must be the spaghetti with shrimps. Wine is just 16€ and it’s good to pair with any food. One of the recommendations from the waiter is the side dish potatoes. I have to say it’s more like chips because they fried them with olive oil, pepper and thyme(do try it if you like chips). It’s not expensive at all and you can have it together with the main course. I have read other comments and tried the cotoletta alla milanese which is the veal cutlet. It’s slightly fat but super good. Nothing is really expensive here. If you have a family, I am sure you would enjoy this place for family dinner because it made you feel home. The waiter is also friendly to give me some biscotti as dessert. The dining experience here can be compared with other high end restaurants.
Restauarnt with no window door and wall. You can't tell it is a restaurant if you bypass the street. Guests here were local people, no tourist that night. We ordered tartar, sea bass and seafood spaghetti and finished by tiramisu. Food quality up to v standard. No surprise no compliant. I saw guest in next table ordered grilled beef filet, and, watched the photos shared in Google map. Sound not bad. Will try it next time.
We went here on a Sunday night, being close to the hotel we were staying at. It had a rustic style, with beautiful wooden beams. Didn't get very busy during the time we spent there, we suspect that's because it's in the commercial area of Milan so more populates during the work week. But that was great for us. We both started off with parpadelle dishes, one mushroom and one seafood. Both were lovely. That was followed by Veal Milanese and Swordfish. Both were tasty and the breading on the Milanese quite light. We finished off with some sweets provided for free and we also got a tiramisu, which was nice. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Cost of the meal was very reasonable too.
Quite ok... that's true. Nothing extraordinary but authentic Italian cuisine. The pasta with porcini mushrooms were rather uncharitable and neither the pasta nor the sauce were on the level I have enjoyed in the past few days in northern Italy. The T-bone steak was superbly prepared, the wines good but expensive. The appetizers ... ok. The service a bit overwhelmed and not really attentive.
