Andateci! Giorni di Chiusura Lunedì e Martedì
Historic neighborhood pizzeria. Farinata is our go-to, and we never stop buying it.
Small pizzeria on the outskirts. Excellent farinata and very good pan pizza. The place is a bit chaotic but comfortable.
One of Turin's most historic spots. You absolutely have to try pan pizza at Cecchi. The atmosphere is small and friendly, and in my opinion, you can eat the best farinata in Turin (and perhaps Italy) here. For me, a wonderful evening would be at Cecchi, ordering a double portion of farinata and finishing with a pan pizza Margherita. Believe me, you won't go wrong! There are only a few tables and reservations aren't possible, so be patient and wait in line. I'm sure the farinata and pizza will make up for it. Enjoy your meal!
It's not just a place where you can eat pizza and farinata. But it's THE PLACE to eat the best pan pizza and the best farinata in Turin. Historic and unique.
The best farinata I've ever had. The staff may not be cheerful and friendly, but it's a very old-fashioned place that serves a lot of people and has limited seating, so I understand that. I also tried the pizza last week, which was a pleasant surprise. For those who complain about the "small, thick, pan-fried" pizza, it's true that it's not written (I think) at the entrance, but if you used the internet to write a review about it, you might as well have used it to check what kind of place it was. Recommended
We ended up at Pizzeria & Gelateria Cecchi around 3pm, when most of the other places were already closed. I was pleasantly surprised by both the staff and the food. Since they don’t close in the afternoon, they welcomed us and served us right away. My partner and I ordered two pizze al padellino, which were quite different from what I’ve had elsewhere but absolutely delicious—mine was prosciutto e funghi and his was salamino. We also shared a portion of farinata, which was one of the best I’ve tried so far. I’ll definitely be coming back to try their gelato !
The farinata is excellent! It's a small but cute and very quiet place! Perfect for a trio of farinata, pan pizza, and gelato.
The best farinata I've had. Also of course great pizzas. Also do ice creams, which are also very good.
recommend Farinata!!!!
Very good pizza and ice cream. A place where you can feel traditional Italy.
Best traditional pizza in turin
Ottima pizza e farinata. Personale gentile e affidabile. Prezzi onestissimi
One of the best farinata in Town..!!?
Good pizza, a little small portion compared to other places
I was going to this tiny eatery some 45 years ago as a student and am delighted to be able to do it still... Probably the owners have changed, but the atmosphere and the quality of Pizza and Farinata (and the extremely reasonable prices) didn't change in the decades. For me a blast from the past, for newcomers a pleasant experience.
My first pan-fried pasta dish... Now the service is rather distracted and the pan could be richer. Farinata is always good.
I used to come here to eat farinata, ice-cream and sometimes, pizza too. They're still here doing the same thing. Still nice (as far as the farinata is concerned). I was a little disappointed with their lack of friendliness, but I guess that's the way it is.
I've lived near this pizzeria for years, and I've always had the feeling that the staff didn't particularly welcome me. After a long time, I decided to give it a try... but unfortunately, it was an all-round disappointment. As soon as we walked in, there was no greeting, no welcome: just a cold and hasty "what do you want?" We ordered two pizzas and a farinata, but nowhere did it say the pizzas were pan-fried. I find it absurd that a "historic" pizzeria wouldn't feel the need to specify this, especially given that there were reviews from years ago complaining about the same thing. The takeout pizzas (a €6 Margherita, an €8 prosciutto and mushroom, and a €4 farinata) were tiny, soggy, and wet, with an undercooked base and burnt edges. The Margherita in particular looked like a supermarket pizza. The farinata was decent, but nothing to return for. Overall, between the rudeness of the staff, the quality of the food, and the complete lack of transparency in the menu, it was an experience to forget.
We went to this much-vaunted historic pizzeria this evening, but unfortunately, the experience was truly disappointing. As soon as we walked in, the welcome was terrible: no smile, no "good evening," just a snarky "what do you want?" We ordered a portion of farinata and two pizzas from the menu—where, I should emphasize, it's not specified at all that the pizzas are pan-fried. When they brought us the pans, I honestly thought they were the little plates for preparing the ingredients, they were so small. We were the only ones in the place, and yet the guy in the dining room still managed to make us feel uncomfortable, so much so that when my boyfriend asked me if I wanted to wait outside, I breathed a sigh of relief. We got the pizzas to go: a Margherita (€6), a prosciutto and mushrooms (€8), and a piece of farinata (€4). When we got home... another disappointment. The pizzas were wet, half-raw on the inside and burned on the outside. The Margherita was as small as a supermarket pizza with a slap of cheese in the middle. The flavor, unfortunately, was very similar to that of a packaged pizza for one euro. The farinata was good, but nothing special, as we'd expected after hearing about the place. In short: a negative experience from start to finish, and above all, I find it unacceptable that after years of reviews highlighting the same flaw (the pan issue), they still haven't bothered to clearly state it on the menu.
