Typical Ligurian trattoria, in a beautiful village in the hinterland near Albenga. Outside, it presents itself with tables set in a splendid little square, while the inside of the trattoria is simple and welcoming. Very kind and helpful staff, fast and well-kept service. Fixed menu: mixed appetizers, first course, 2 second courses, tastings of different desserts, with water/wine, cover charge and coffee included. Everything really delicious and excellent raw materials. More than fair price (22.50 € per person). Perfect trattoria to spend a nice evening in a beautiful Ligurian village and tasting delicious typical dishes!

This is a lovely traditional restaurant. In the traditional Italian way, there is no menu. But the food you will be served is freshly home cooked using locally sourced ingredients, plentiful, and delicious. It is family run and has been in the family for more than 100 years. You can call in for coffee and a drink at any time (and a brioche if it's breakfast time), or lunch or dinner which are at a set price and good value. In summer, there are tables in the beautiful piazza next to it

Amazing romantic place overlooking the ancient stone castle. VEry nice waiter, such an "action man", he recommended what to eat and it was great. You probably need to book a table in advance, but it is definitely worth visiting the restaurant.

Small but charming restaurant with an outdoor terrace. Very centrally located in the heart of the beautiful medieval village of Castevecchio di Rocca Barlena. The coffee was delicious, but the welcome was mediocre. Overall, a pleasant rest stop during a visit to this beautiful village, which is well worth a day trip.

La Trattoria di Malco Claudio next to the Castello dei Clavesana which is a Scenic castle in the low mountains near Finale Ligure. Probably best to call ahead and order as there is just the owner and sometimes his daughter I think, so service is slow. The location is fantastic and we just ordered the menu which was salami, fresh goat cheese, pasta, and water and coke. Food was good but ran 20 euros a head which I thought was expensive for what we got.

Home cooking, everything very good, with a fixed-price menu for €25 per person: a mixed appetizer, a first course, a second course, two desserts, wine, water, and coffee. I only gave it three stars because it doesn't say anywhere that they serve a fixed menu (with corresponding prices) and a daily menu so guests know what they're getting, since not everyone's taste is a good fit (which wasn't the case for us). We also couldn't pay by debit card because the battery on the table was dead...

Nice place with no menu card, no price indication anywhere, they gave us what they wanted (so far so good), antipasti, pasta and chicken, but had to pay 120€ for five persons. In my opinion too expensive for the quality and the service. I do not recommend that place!
