Just had their beef meatballs with pistachio and cream cheese, Le Ciero hamburger that thing was a mammoth and it was delicious. Wife had the pesto burrata pasta and she loved it. It was good.

Excellent all around. I ordered the noodles because it seemed to have a mix of a lot of different options (pork meatballs, veggies, etc.) Will definitely be back to try more of their menu items! Very friendly staff and service was quick.

Was recommended by a local! Tried the meatball sampler which was incredibly filling for 2 people. Creative and delicious take on the humble meat ball! Great service 👏🏽 Also, the limoncello spritzes are some of the best in southern Italy!

Claimed to be the first "Polpetteria" in Sicily, this place is a must visit to try some of traditional Sicilian meatballs They have fish, meat and vegetarian based meatballs and my suggestion is to try as many you can, as each one has its own flavour. My favorite were the ones with meat and gorgonzola cheese melted on top, a little less tasty the fish based ones

Great food and great service! Went here with my girlfriend and was surprised to find the waiter speaking with a fluent English accent, turns out his mother was from the UK. Sasha did an absolutely amazing job recommending us food and wine and I would highly recommend you seek him out on a visit! If you are looking for the specialties the food is a little bit on the pricy side but well worth the money, would highly recommend!

Very nice place to eat in Catania. The carbonara was amazing, probably the best I've tried so far. The staff was really friendly.The focaccia was also delicious.

Had a perfect entrecote steak, pasta carbonara and a bottle of etna rosso. The free bread served with olive oil was a nice touch. Friendly service all around.

Il posto si presenta molto bene sia all’esterno che all’interno. Nella sala di medie dimensioni potete accomodarvi e consultare i menu tramite qr e scoprire i vari assortimenti di polpette. È possibile scegliere polpette di varie carni, ovviamente compreso il cavallo. Tra i piatti ci sono anche altre alternative, forse troppe ed in contrasto con il nome del posto. Arrivata la selezione che potrete vedere in foto, abbiamo chiesto anche della focaccia e delle verdure grigliate: Tutto era squisito! Il mio appunto va purtroppo al prezzo, forse troppo elevato per il tipo di cucina, che si riflette anche sulle bevande. Consigliato, ma con questa sbavatura.

La polpetteria è sicuramente un luogo che si differenzia dalla concorrenza, in via santa Filomena luogo che amo tantissimo. Abbiamo consumato l'assaggio delle polpette di pesce buonissime ma non troppo però, qualcuna non era così eccezionale da top per come dovrebbe. La varietà di tipi di pane (da quello nero a quello ai cereali) che servono assieme alle polpette mi ha stupito, molto particolare e buono 🔝🔝🔝🔝 Sicuramente tornerò a provare gli altri tipi e vi saprò dire. Intanto do 4 stelle 🙃.

Ho trovato il posto molto carino. Ottimo l'antipasto. Le polpette non erano male, in generale ho preferito quelle di cavallo con philadelphia, tra quelle al sugo alcuni gusti personalmente li ho trovati più buoni di altri(crema al gorgonzola e la polpetta di pollo i preferiti). La pizza anch'essa molto buona. Prezzi giusti, ci ritorneremo sicuramente. (Recensione di una cena in data 25-08-2022)

Nice ambience of an evening. Staff are attentive however don’t stop the hawkers trying to sell you stuff while enjoying the meal. Food was excellent especially the Roast potato with double cheese. Wine was delicious too!

First of many restaurants all located on this narrow lane. This restaurant offers a variety of options from pizzas to pastas, steak and their specialty, meatballs. Food is good and portions are generous. The staff speaks English, which is a plus.

We had dinner at this restaurant and had spaghetti carbonara which was amazing and also tasted as starter the mix meatballs which has approximately 20 meatballs with either fish meat and various cheese potatoes etc. even though the meatballs were tasty, among the 20 of them there was only one actual meatball with meat one with fish and all the rest of them were either with potato or cheese. Deserts are also really fresh and the tiramisu really good. Prices are good normal for Catania.

Friendly service, bit delayed at the start and not many English speakers, which is fine, just be patient and aware. The ham and cheese platter for two was enough to feed an army and all very tasty, perfect for a taste of everything you'd want and well worth the €25 great place to sit outside and people watch with a bottle of wine and nice bites to eat. They even let us take the leftovers in a container which we'd previously thought was frowned upon in Sicily.

Il locale si trova nei vicoli del centro di Catania, molto carino ma lo trovo un po’ alto nei prezzi in quanto secondo me si può prenotare anche con The fork. Nn lo trovo corretto. Un piatto di pasta alla norma 15 euro, mentre la carbonara non si può mangiare con la panna. Servizio veloce e gentile.

Cibo molto buono e porzioni anche abbondanti, siamo usciti che rotolavamo. La valutazione infatti è un mix tra il top del cibo e il flop dei prezzi. Leffe 8€ la media, 5€ un amaro, primi 12-15€ (pasta, sughi di terra)… evidentemente il target non è chi prende uno stipendio italiano 😅

Locale visitato con la mia famiglia a cena di lunedì 8 agosto 2022. Abbiamo ordinato una porzione di polpette di manzo al limone e quattro pizze. Molto apprezzate da tutti le polpette (ottime) 👏, le pizze nel complesso buone ma non eccezionali e vendute a prezzi decisamente elevati. Alquanto discutibile inoltre vendere a 3 euro una minerale in vetro da soli tre quarti di litro 👎. Sarebbe meglio proporre bottiglie da un litro a non più di € 2,50. Il personale lavora bene e i tempi di servizio sono più che buoni. Per concludere, il locale si chiama “polpetteria” ed a parer mio e della mia famiglia le polpette sanno farle davvero bene.

Mi dispiace lasciare una recensione così negativa, purtroppo gli errori che sono stati commessi sono gravi e anche il modo in cui si è posto il personale non ha aiutato. Premetto che ieri ero a Catania per un evento che iniziava alle 21. Ho prenotato per le 19.45 per un veloce piatto di polpette, per essere ancora più certa siamo arrivate 10 minuti prima. Ci accomodiamo in una sala quasi vuota (solo 2 o 3 tavoli che stavano consumando e uno appena occupato). 10 minuti e un cenno di richiamo solo per ordinare. Ripeto 2 volte l'ordinazione, il cameriere sembra convinto ma già arriva con una birra piccola invece che media. Dopo 15 minuti buoni in cui non esce alcun piatto chiedo cortesemente di verificare dati i tempi stretti. Mi assicurano che stiamo per essere servite.. nulla. Alle 20.25 arriva finalmente il cibo ma... uno dei due piatti è sbagliato. Purtroppo non ho tempo per attendere oltre, lo consumo lo stesso...cibo di qualità media, philadelphia nelle polpette non pervenuto e un po troppo sale in generale, ma accettabile. Il pane, molto duro, arriva quando stiamo finendo. Corriamo a pagare per scoprire che mi sono stati addebitati tutti i 35 euro (contro 20) per un piatto non richiesto!! Ora, gli errori accadono. Ma, tralasciando il fatto che 2 errori su 3 ordini (due piatti e una birra) sono un po troppi, c'è modo e modo di gestirli. Non una scusa, non un sorriso, non un piccolo sconto. Di certo non tornerò.

Il panino non è male, non conoscono la differenza tra pull e pork e un hamburger di carne. Pubblicità ingannevole , come ingannevole la risposta del cameriere. Spacciano chianina per pull pork , ma non lo è. Pago 3 euro a coperto per un tavolo divelto e traballante. I prezzi sono da ristorante ma ristorante non è. Peccato , avevo delle aspettative da questo posto , ma non sono state confermate.

Not to recommend, there are loads of good places where to eat better spending way less in Catania. It is probably oriented to tourists. As a local I really didn’t appreciate it. When a “sommelier” tells you that he doesn’t sell bottles under 24€ … while he’s working in place that sells mostly meatballs… it sounds already funny. Also the bottle he brought us was definitely overpriced for what it was. We ordered chicken meatballs, beef and vegetarian. The only ones acceptable were the chicken ones, while the vegetarian options was more a selection of croquettes (all breaded) and the beef meatballs didn’t taste good nor fresh at all. Not any kind of sides served with the meatballs and last but not least the bill was High, it’s not a good experience sorry.

Purtroppo la nostra esperienza è stata molto deludente. Io e la mia compagna abbiamo ordinato la Scorpacciata di 10 polpette (indicata nel menù come mix di carne, pesce e vegetariane) al costo di 40€, proprio perché volevamo assaggiare un po’ di tutto. Ci sono invece arrivate 10 polpette tutte di carne, identiche tra loro, senza alcuna varietà rispetto a quanto riportato nella descrizione. L’attesa è stata di circa 45 minuti dall’ordine. Al momento del conto abbiamo segnalato la discrepanza, e ci è stato riferito che avremmo dovuto scegliere noi le polpette. Nel menù però non era specificato questo dettaglio, e al momento dell’ordine non ci è stato chiesto nulla in merito. Ci è stato applicato uno sconto di 5€, gesto apprezzabile, ma il piatto ricevuto non corrispondeva a ciò che avevamo scelto. L’idea del locale è interessante, ma tra la lunga attesa e la difformità tra quanto descritto e quanto servito, la nostra esperienza complessiva è stata negativa. Non prevediamo di tornare.

Location fatiscente, mal tenuta. Pulizia inesistente, i bagni degni di essere ritenuti “bagni pubblici”. Attesa di 1 ora nonostante il locale fosse quasi del tutto vuoto. Gestione imbarazzante, entravano in cucina persone sedute fuori al tavolo per prendere i piatti per se… L’unica nota positiva è stato il servizio, cordiale e attento. Eravamo in 4 abbiamo preso tutti i polpette diverse, un’ordinazione è arrivata sbagliata, Le mie polpette al sugo erano aspre e fredde. 84 € spesi malissimo. Mai più.

Esperienza da dimenticare . Cameriere per le comanda totalmente fuori luogo e fuori mestiere , professionalità pari a zero , a momenti anche cafone. Ma passiamo al sodo , ai piatti . Primi da dimenticare Polpette insapore , insipide e senza senso ..era come mangiare sempre la stessa polpetta , senza capirne il gusto . Proviamo con la carne ...macché Peggio di peggio , carne immangiabile ...dura ,cruda .... Forse le patatine fritte non erano male ...forse Non passerò mai più nemmeno dalla strada

Unfortunately not what we expected, the manager has some anger issues and he mixed up our dishes telling us that it's a language miss but it was not. Money was not the problem for us, it's the principal and he failed as a manager. As the other said, it's just as a burger meat without the bun. Nothing special at all. Don't waste your time and money because he doesn't deserve it.
