Excellent restaurant, everything good... if we want to be picky, the polenta concia was too runny and too much butter, the normal one with wild boar was not and I highly recommend it, but perhaps being so runny is a characteristic of the Biella area... good prices.

We came to this trattoria for lunch on January 2nd, hoping it would be open, and luckily it was! The owner was super welcoming and the service was fast. We had an appetizer with cured meats and local specialties, which were delicious (especially the Russian salad and beans). Then we had an excellent wild boar with mouth-watering polenta. For dessert, we had a steaming hot homemade strudel, which was also delicious. Recommended for anyone visiting the Basilica!

Unique location, it's like eating on the Dome of the sanctuary🤩 We highly recommend having lunch here as a complement to a visit to the sanctuary. It's just a few minutes' walk from the highest parking lot, the view is priceless, and the food is carefully prepared and truly delicious! And then... there aren't the crowds of people who usually choose the restaurants lower down to avoid the five-minute uphill walk! A quiet place, friendly service, and a wide selection at excellent prices. 👍🏻

Today my boyfriend and I went to this trattoria for lunch. It was Sunday and we didn't have a reservation, so we had to wait half an hour (so I recommend booking). If you eat outside, the view is stunning. The staff is very friendly. The food is special; the polenta concia is a must! Excellent price! €2 per person House appetizer €12 (we split it) Polenta concia €7 Braised beef in Barolo €9 Wild boar €9 Coke €3.50 Water €3.50 Total for two, with very full bellies, €55

Panoramic location... indoor and outdoor seating... a lovely place to enjoy a good lunch outdoors on a beautiful sunny day... I definitely recommend the polenta dishes, both classic and concia with wild boar, which I must say are very popular... and to finish off with a flourish... homemade desserts... especially the chocolate cake... also very good! Friendly and fast service, even on the busiest days. Good value for money.

I had lunch here for the first time. Oropa and its trattorias are a frequent destination for us Biella residents. A pleasant surprise, especially for the view, which is enviable. A simple but tasty lunch. It's a shame the cake was too dry. The staff was young and very friendly. Service was quick. Reservations are highly recommended on weekends.

A rustic trattoria with friendly staff and a fabulous view. The dish worth trying is definitely the polenta concia, which I found excellent. The rest of the dishes were good, but nothing exceptional. Overall, I had a good time.

We went here for lunch on a Sunday, choosing to sit outside, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sanctuary and the surrounding landscape. We opted for two first courses and a polenta concia to share. Everything was very good, the service was basic but efficient. The prices are good, and reservations are recommended if you want to secure a seat.

Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo, “dalle 14”, dicono. Il che non dovrebbe significare aspettare 40 minuti al freddo senza avere la più pallida idea di se mangeremo o meno e se sì quando, con tavolate da 6 che passano avanti nonostante l’arrivo successivo al nostro. Trattamento pessimo del cliente e assoluta incapacità di gestire la situazione e la relazione. Inaccettabile.

We booked by phone and were immediately informed that the only available lunch slot was the 2:00 PM shift, which we accepted without a problem. Arriving promptly, we found people waiting both inside and outside the restaurant, a sign that shifts were not being respected at all. Those who arrived after us were seated first, with no logic or rationale. We spent over half an hour waiting, without an explanation, an update, or even the slightest attention. This is terrible and unprofessional management, demonstrating a complete lack of respect for customers.

We called to make a reservation and were told they'd give us a table after 2:05 PM. We arrived at 2:05 PM and there were already people waiting in line for tables to become available. They took reservations for tables of 6 and 8 for after 2:00 PM without any guarantee of getting a table. Absolute disservice, in taking into account reservations, the order of arrival, and even communication with customers (we were there waiting and no one said anything, we had to keep asking). After more than half an hour of waiting, we left; this is not how you treat customers.

Maybe I found it on the wrong day, 🤷‍♂️ tagliatelle with ragu, whites seemed like pasta with oil, the pasta was soft and broken up, braised meat had a very strong smell of vinegar... I'm sorry but I've always given good reviews, it must have been an off day.
