The pitcher of mango margueritas was absolutely delicious. Coupled with the nachos, it was a great snack
Very friendly family restaurant with great long time wait staff. Great food and drinks. Live music in an open patio and enclosed area. Their house shrimp cocktails are worth five stars.
Really enjoyed this restaurant and cantina. Wonderful Margheritas, shrimp cocktail was AMAZING! Lots of avocado, onion and shrimp in a wonderful tomato broth. I also had shrimp tacos, fantastic. The little square was stunningly beautiful! There was music being played both in both Spanish and English. Vendor's came around and showed their wares I bought a beautiful silver neckless and bracelet. Will return on my next trip with friends who are not undergoing big time dental procedures. I recommend it to anyone.
Quick run across the border. This is an awesome place for food and drinks. Great service.
When we go to Mexico to do a little shopping or just to spend the day doing something special for the day, this is one of the places we go just to enjoy the day together, El Paraiso is our place of choice that we like to go and kick back have a nice lunch and sometimes we may have a drink before we are finished with our shopping and it's time for us to go back to Phoenix. I would recommend this place to family and friends.
A womderful atmosphere Mexican food available as is the outdoor atmosphere... totally delicious as the atmosphere and service. We went there often during our stay. Don't miss your chance to be surprised and impressed.
We asked one I locale where we can get the best Chile Relleno and he suggested this place, he said it is a little pricy but great. When we got there it was beautiful. The service was amazing the Relleno was absolutely delicious and if $7.50 for two enchiladas 1 chile Relleno and rice and beans is pricy well I am ok with that! We will be back the week after thanksgiving
Whenever we cross into Mexico at Los Algadones we stop at El Paraiso for some food and beverages. This a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine, eat some food, enjoy some cocktails, and listen to some music. The service staff are friendly and fast, not very expensive to eatthere. I ordered huevos rancheros. They were great, the Pacificos were cold. A great time.
Great atmosphere, got the loaded nachos they were amazing, margaritas are good too!
Tasted good i jumped across the border to get these :D
Came in for Breakfast, received an enthusiastic greeting from the server, who sat me in front of the air conditioner. Service was quick & the food was Great. A Morning Margarita to was it down!
We love this place. Great atmosphere
The food here is good and the service is too. Portions are average size. Live music is fun! Vendors come to you while you eat. Drinks are very good and priced similar to rates in the states. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.
The best! The atmosphere was amazing. I was here as a kid, but glad I was able to experience it now as an adult. The margaritas are amazing, if you ask you can take them to go. Such a fun place.

We come here every time we're in the area. The local people and the atmosphere are very fun. You can't beat the margaritas. The food is good and the prices are great.
Martín was great, he brought a table fan to keep the flies at bay
We have always been afraid to venture into Mexico because of the headlines not giving it a very good review. We decided to visit with our friends and I can honestly say we had an amazing time and look forward to the day we can go back. The people were very friendly and willing to barter for all items they were selling. Loved the fact that we could sit and enjoy some awesome margaritas while the vendors would bring items to the table to sell.
Left the RV in Yuma and made a pedestrian day trip to Los Algodones, Mexico for shopping, margaritas, live music, and lunch at Restaurant El Paraiso. This international excursion was fun and the best part of our stay in Yuma — a must do stop for all our RV community friends and nomads. Just park at the Quechan parking lot, $6 for the day, and walk across the border. Everything is in a 3 or 4 block radius of the border crossing/port of entry.
The $11 pitchers of margaritas are amazing! The breakfast burritos for lunch are a great choice.
Went a few times, the place is about average priced, but definitely worth checking out! Food is amazing bordering on phenomenal, the staff is courteous and the drinks are awesome!! I would recommend eating here especially if you're in town getting work done(eat before and after you get work done) or if you're just looking for a new place to eat!
We were there for the first time, with some friends and they had live music, which we really enjoyed. We were able to have amazing drinks, food and do a little dancing. I totally recommend it. We even plan on going back the following weekend.
This is a terrific restaurant in Los Algadones Mexico! Reasonable, good food and drinks. There is also a large, outdoor patio very popular during the season. (October to May). Live music too! The picture is actually the shopping Alley behind the restaurant. If you need dental work or optical, and want to save a fortune, this is the town for you! English spoken everywhere, and friendly people.
The most fun place in Algodones for lunch and a beverage. The live music makes it more of a party than a dining experience! The food is good. Chips and salsa is $2.
Love this place. Best Margarita's around. Nice selection of food. So fun when the band is playing, bit I don't like all of the vendors in my face.
The food was traditional Mexican. I wish the sauce was a little spicier. We asked for the spiciest and it was just medium. I understand that Mexican food is different in different parts and what we’re used to is more Tex Mex in the United States. The only drawback and the most annoying thing was getting hooked by the vendors while you’re trying to eat I think they should be told when the people are eating they shouldn’t approach them.
Not a bad place. Great fresh food to me. Had breakfast and dinner here. Pancakes are good. The only thing I didn't like was that there were so many fruit flies around. They have outdoor seating and indoor. It would be nice for them to have different people stationed at all the entrances so they can know if someone is coming in. Nice staff and great food. Best food around
Loved crossing the border and hitting up this restaurant with colleagues when I was anchoring the news in Yuma. Food was tasty and the margaritas big. Always great value for the price. Service could be sketchy mainly due to the fact we ate outside and it was always packed. Very busy and a lot of tourists, which even as regulars we were too.
The food is great, and the taste is really fantastic. However, the prices are very overpriced—even more expensive than Yuma's Mexican restaurants
I didn't eat, but had a really delicious Pina colada. Nice outdoor atmosphere Service was slow.
Divertido!!!
Excelente ambiente, comida con sazón para gente extranjera , pero rico..
Buena
Love this place. Have the best drinks and prices are great. Food is very good. Only didn’t give 5 stars because there are a few too many vendors coming to your table. Live music was good.
18.00 pitcher margaritas. Always live music playing. Slow to get your bill. We have always used credit card to pay but you can't put tip on it. Food is better here than the place right across from the border on the way out
By far the most exciting place in town, especially mid-day in winter months when the town is full of seniors getting dental work. A band plays classic Boomer music and the drinks are quite good. But the food has never been up to par and I only go here to get a couple drinks and take in the vibe. And it’s always “Senior Day” at El Paraiso!! 😂
I have been going here for years. In the past 2 years the taste, quality and quantity of the food served has deteriorated. The drinks like Margaritas are still awesome and the ambiance is great, but they have to bring the food quality back up. Still a great place to stop though!
Very nice place to sit and have a margarita and listen to music. Only complaint was the vendor “Linda” who was so rude to us, told my friend to pay $5 more for me for two blankets and then told her to shut up and grabbed our money off the table and stomped away, she should have grabbed the blankets not the money. Very rude to customers. Will return but no more buying from “Linda”
Food was good had combo plate. Ate outside and flies were a real problem. Drinks a little expensive. Friend had grande nacos which consisted of chips alot of cheese and hunks of beef......no beans tomatoes salsa guak sour cream...would not order again
This town has a weird old folk amusement park feel too if. And this restaurant fits right in. The food and drinks were fine. Nothing special. Pay in pesos if you can it's cheaper.
Decent place, inexpensive, food was okay. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating has AC and fans going so it's very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was very friendly.
Margaritas were large, but hardly any liquor in them, and not very tasty. Food overpriced, not good, and lukewarm. Nachos had cheap cheese sauce, not real cheese. Would not recommend for the food or liquor. Music and beer would be okay.
The place was really nice. Outdoor seating mostly. Heavily catered to white Americans. Even the Spanish music was translated to English... I get it. But would have liked to seen more of my culture.
Disappointed Tourist trap. This place was very busy and we were seated right away. Band was playing and the place was packed and this was at 11:30 am Margarita on every table including ours. We order the fish in garlic sauce, presentation very nice but food just OK. Fish warm not hot, rice cool and beans cold. Only thing hot on our order was the tortillas! Once the food order arrived so did the fly's! We were glad that the menus were left behind to use a fans to have the fly's fly away! Waiter was OK but make sure you know the prices of what you ordered and in our case we were up charged! and asked if he added the tip! Fun spot but there are better choices!
Not a restaurant that you would come for Mexican food, or sit down and bring the family. You do not see locals and their families. This is strictly a tourist place for weak margaritas. Margarita mix is poured into a gallon jug with a little "tequila" . . .The beer is cold and the carne asada tacos are recognizable. This is where all the tourists go, they have vendors sell trinkets in the dining areas while you're eating and drinking . . . not a bad place to have cold beer . . . it's not home cooking . . .
Last Friday, one waitress and one waiter for entire outside area. Prices higher than last season. Strong drink but not best taste. Went down street to eat.
Definitely a tourist trap..prices were high, service was slow, and food was mediocre. Better options available.
Good : Nice restaurant, great music, ambiance, affordable 22$ for 2 plates. Bad : Almost break a tooth on a bone eating my chicken fajitas. Girlfriend had a steak fajitas, half the meat was too hard not edible, sorry but Mexican food is better in the US. Been bothered 25 times every 3 minutes during my 30 minutes lunch by homeless trying to sell merchandise, been bothered 100 times more outside on the street. I don't understand how Mexican brain processing business profit.
Worst experience ever! We did not get service until 10+ minutes after finding our seats, the waiter, Ruben, came to take our orders and we order drinks first, he did not came back until 20 min later and at that time he seemed rushed and wasn't giving us time to order so we didn't and he left. I got up to find another waiter and I made a comment like "you guys must be very busy" and the other gentlemen acknowledge that they weren't and if anyone was helping me. I order food through him and when it was brought to me it was cold so I had them re heat it but by then I could sense that they were annoyed by us being there. But the word part was that the people next to us kept getting service almost immediately after finishing their drinks and the waiter kept coming back. One waiter even had the nerve to comment "oh it's probably because your Latinos" that made matters worse, my money has the same value as anyone else's money! I forgot to mention that I got up and took my plate back to the kitchen to have it reheated myself because no one was coming, at that time i noticed a waitress sampling from one of the plates that was ready to be brought out!!! Are you kidding me, no wonder the food was cold because it was just sitting there!! Worst experience ever!!!!!
The food was not authentic. The refried beans were watery with a glazed look. No flavor. We ordered chorizo with eggs and received a small plate with some refried beans and "salad" which took up a 1/3 of the plate. The guacamole was also odd looking with no flavor. It looked commecialized and watered down. If you want authentic, check out reviews of some of the other places in the area.
Worst meal ever. Horrible waiter . Took forever to get meals and to pay. Not at all like it used to be to be. Total waste of money and time!!!
Food was cold and tasteless. The margaritas may have had some tequila, but I doubt it. Worst of all the prices were outrageous . When we want mexican food and margaritas, we will stay in Yuma.
Visited May 18, 2017 11:30 am This was our 6th or 7th visit to this restaurant. They were not that busy maybe 6 tables. I could not find anyone to seat us so I walked towards an empty table. Someone saw me from the back and came and gave me a menu and took the drink order. Drink was fine. I ordered the taco place that comes with three carne tacos, refried beans, etc. There were two hairs on the plate. One hair mixed in the beans the other stuck to the plate. The meat was spoiled and my husband got very sick. It was a very disappointing visit and we will not go back. Maybe in January it is safer but in May when they are not busy ..... be careful.
Had a nice view of the bartender, making drinks, they were using one shot tequila to make three margaritas. Tequila is cheap in Mexico. No need to rip people off.
Aqui en este lugar sirven la comida igual que la mayoria restaurantes mexicano de los estados unidos sin sazon y les falta buenas salsas
Salsa was watery. No chips to go with it. Ordered the "chicken tortilla soup". Worst soup ever. No chicken, no veggies, just dishwater with tortilla strips tossed in. Sent it back, but but charged for it anyway. Ugh. Will never return!!
