A relaxing corner at Villa Raverio for any moment of the day: breakfast, ice cream, or happy hour... 5 stars for Nicola's friendliness and 5 super stars for Sonia's desserts, enjoyed in the cool garden overlooking the square. Highly recommended!

In my opinion, Ravee is one of the few nice places for an aperitivo or coffee near home. Or at least, it was... we've been going for aperitivo time for two Saturdays in a row, and it doesn't seem the same. The staff is friendly, sure, but otherwise, a lot has changed. Aperitivo with deep-dish pizza and reheated, hard focaccia (clearly not fresh). On the first Saturday, we asked if they could make us a caprese salad; they looked at us with wide eyes and told us they could only have piadinas and toast. Yesterday, we asked for a charcuterie board; the same puzzled expression came across as if we'd asked for duck à l'orange, but it was brought to us. It all arrived on a cheap tray with roughly chopped, arranged cold cuts (prosciutto crudo of a thickness only seen with jamon Iberico). When we asked for a glass of Chianti, they looked at us as if we'd asked for a very special wine. Where has Ravee gone, the place that used to pay so much attention to the aesthetics of the dish? That was interested in sourcing the finest ingredients and offered exquisite wines? Where a simple Caprese salad was beautifully assembled? The icing on the cake: the staff setting up two tables in the dining room at 8 pm for their dinner with pizza boxes and other takeout food, and the customer at the table next door swearing cheerfully without being moderated by the cashier or other staff. I'm truly sad and disappointed that Ravee has changed so much. What a shame.
