Great quality for price. Amazing views, really good service.

Really nice restaurant with a great view of the park, particularly during sunset.

One of My Favorite Restaurants in the World Eight years ago, I visited Mestizo with my parents, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I’ve remembered that day ever since and always dreamed of coming back to Chile just to go there again. Now, after traveling to over 25 countries, I can honestly say—Mestizo is still my top restaurant in the world. The atmosphere next to Parque Bicentenario is stunning, the service is amazing, and the food is unforgettable. The prices are also very fair for the quality and experience you get. You have to try the mascarpone risotto—it’s absolutely incredible. This place is something truly special, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santiago.

Mestizo is a fantastic restaurant located right at Santiago's Parque Bicentenario. Sitting outside one can enjoy the fresh air and nature while enjoying perfect seafood dishes paired with great wines and beer. The staff was very attentive and friendly and this combined with the quality of the food and the lovely surroundings this restaurant is outstanding.

Delicious food, great service, and lovely view of the park

Really enjoyed the experience. We were the only non-Chileans in the restaurant, which is a mark of quality in itself. Fried artichoke salad was light, crunchy, a great start. The grilled octopus was better than I anticipated. It was soft and crunchy. The peppers really helped liven up the flavor. The tre leches was thick and sticky and wonderful. The pineapple sauce that came with it was incredible on its own, but didn’t make a lot of sense with the tres leches. In any case, very good. We would absolutely go back.

Incredible. If you ever get to Santiago Chile, go to this place the octopus was absolutely fresh. The wines were fantastic. Everything was amazing. Miguel was an amazing server. Thanks dude.

Great location in the Parque Bicentenario with a view all the way to Costanera Center. Great crowed. Food is decent. Service could be improved. Food is good. Had locos, pulpo, tacos and alcachofa salad. Always worth a trip in particular foe the view.

Great location at the end of the Bicentennial Park, on the route of the Touristik hop on hop off bus, it’s the tourist mecca and is quite busy the twice we have been there, not cheap a coffee and a small beer for example was £7.38. The park is definitely worth visiting especially for the wildlife (birds) nearby the lake in front of the restaurant.

Es magnífico. I asked locals where the most special restaurant is in Santiago, and I’m grateful that they pointed me towards Mestizo. The seafood and duck dishes were spectacular, and the staff is gracious, professional, and friendly. The location must be the most beautiful spot in Santiago, and it was lovely to see the swans and water gardens while enjoying my amazingly delicious meal. I’ll be coming to Mestizo on every trip through Santiago from now on.

Absolutely amazing inside and out. The venue is 10/10. Open air concept down underground aside a park. The service here is amazing and the food is out of this world. Ñoquis trufados was gnocci with braised beef and it was knockout. The desserts were amazing also with chocolate volcano cake and tiramisu

The location of Mestizo on the bicentennial park makes it a lovely place to walk to. The service was excellent and the food was delicious but not over the top. The ceviche was fresh and simple, and the gnocchi dish is an absolute must if you are looking for something hearty and warming. Recommend sharing a few dishes with friends! The tres leches dessert with passion fruit sauce was very good!

What an amazing place! Located in the park with beautiful views and nice calm atmosphere. My first time having machas - what a dish! Lot of sauce and a full flavor. Also, of tbe best ceviches I've ever had. Marvelous Perez Cruz carmenere. Need to go back!

Best tip: if you are coming here on a sunny day - you don’t want a table in the main dining room (sun roof) makes it quite hot ! Second tip: go for the outdoor table that is NOT the side area. Overall great experience - service and food were pretty good.

Nice area and the restaurant is surrounded by the park. Have a good view towards the park. Service is attentive and the food is delicious. The steak we order is juicy. Grilled King Prawn is excellently cooked.

This was one of our absolute favorites while in Santiago. It is in a touristy area, which is noted in a few other reviews, but the food is spectacular along with the view. It's located in the park so it's a super beautiful view of the mountains. Their indoor and outdoor seating is incredible as well. I definitely recommend sitting outside if you can. They have plenty of space heaters and blankest. Even on one of the coldest nights it's still enjoyable. The wine selection is large and very well priced. The cocktails looked great, but we couldn't stop ordering wine. We ordered serrano ham, which came with some bread, pulpo, two steaks, seafood risotto, along with the carbonara. Everything was extremely well done. Plates are beautiful, everything was cooked exactly how we ordered it, and each plate was a good amount of food. Definitely worth the price. Not to mention the fabulous service. The waiters are very attentive and constantly making sure you're enjoying your entire experience. Highly, highly recommend.

Nestled in the rocks at the end of a park, very very cool place. Fantastic sea food, nice wine selection, can get pricey but If you’re looking for something a bit more upmarket, a worthwhile spend for sure.

Great place for lunch after a walk in the park. The food is very good and there are many options to choose from. I really liked the carbonara and the artichoke salad. Service was also top notch.

An excellent restaurant to go to relax, enjoy the serene atmosphere, and have amazing food. The steaks are well prepared, and the tuna is incredibly fresh. Mestizo was so good we went two nights in a row.

Must go place in Santiago Chile. Good food, but this is a detail in this place... Amazing ambiance. Serious. Drinks is also amazing. Try the sangria. Delicious. One of the most beautiful restaurant in Chile and why not in Latinamerica. Make sure you book your reservation and ask for an outside seat. The new desert list deserve a space for you to join and finish your meal in a great style!

A beautiful restaurant with wonderful views of the park. Our server, Francesca, was fantastic and helpful. The Beef empanadas were the best that I ever had. In addition, the wine was delicious as well.

Fantastic food and a great atmosphere! We were served by Valery, who was patient, polite, and friendly. Her knowledge of drinks and food added to our experience. We ordered truffle beef, grilled octopus bites, duck confit, ceviche, some drinks and dessert, everything was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely be back if we ever travel to Santiago.

This was perfect for a larger group client dinner for a business meeting. Great atmosphere, good food, views, service. The staff were very attentive - thank you especially to Ivan E. for going above and beyond to provide excellent follow up support!

Excellent food; the service was decent but could have been more attentive although we visited as a large group during a busy evening. Love the building and scenery.

Excellent restaurant on the edge of a beautiful public park where you can walk safely after enjoying a great meal. Mix of local (Chilean) and foreign cuisines (incl. North American). We went on a weekday and saw families with children, business people and met an older couple celebrating their anniversary - in other words, something for everyone! Wonderful atmosphere and service.

We really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The only feedback we can give is the bone marrow portion is just too large for 1 person, maybe drop the price and serve only one marrow bone as a starter.

N
Nick Huang

I heard this restaurant is popular but the food was good at best. Beautiful setting. Service was friendly and quite good despite us not speaking Spanish. The salads were all excessively dressed and acidic. The bone marrow came with insufficient toast for the volume of marrow which I admit was generous. Ceviche was fine but not outstanding. The best dish was the raw clam crudo. The strip steak and skirt steak were both grilled quite well, although the tendon on the outside of the strip was unfortunately unchewable. The named seafood mix dish was very cheesy which we did not expect and not a good use of seafood in my opinion, definitely skip.

J
Jesse

Many people smoke outside so it’s not a good place to sit. Also many flies can be very disturbing. Traditional dishes are very good, but I don’t like the new dessert. Food is 5 star, service is okay.

T

Absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views of the mountains and foothills. We came for dessert and cocktails around 9pm on a Sunday. It was packed! The churros were fine and the cocktails were good, but not great. But for views and cool vibes, this spot is perfect

j

Fabulous 4 Antonio our server was solid! The piscosour were unreal, the ceviche melted in your mouth, the truffle fries were a welcomed change, and this bread and salsa was solid!

This is a restaurant you must visit. The atmosphere is relaxing, romantic and the food is fabulous. Our waiter was Leonardo very friendly, and his recommendations were excellent choices. One of my favorite restaurants in Santiago, Chile.

It was a great experience, watching the sunset, sipping a pisco sour and chatting. Food was really good, it was lacking a bit of salt, but that is easily fixed. Service was great, really attentive and funny.

M

The setting is incredible right on the park in Santiago. The building had amazing architecture and the service was great. The reason this does not get 5 stars is the food. The food was good but for the price you can eat better elsewhere in Santiago. The ceviche was a great starter but both our mains were nothing to write home about. I would recommend visiting but maybe just for a snack/ drink to enjoy the ambiance.

B
Bram Verswalm

The food was good but as stated in other reviews there is better food in the city for half the price. Only because of the price I’m giving 4 stars, everything else is worth 5 stars. Beautiful location and building, friendly staff, fast service.

P
Paulina Velez

The food was good the atmosphere was nice. I just wish that the service could have been a little more friendlier, I felt it to be rushed and not personable and that’s, that I made reservations about 3 weeks prior to going for our tenth wedding anniversary. You would think they would make it a point to be a little nicer. I had a mascarpone risotto and it was tasty, the pisco sour was alright. The chocolate cake was spot on. The lobster rolls were tasty. The machas were good but could have been a little crispier on the cheese part. My husband and girls loved the salmon ceviche.

J
Joe Dominguez

My fiance and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and early Valentine's, but we left our dinner a little disappointed. One of our appetizers, the Lomo Trufado, had a quite overwhelming taste of truffles, and the beef was more like a prosciutto from how thin and dry it was. Our entrees, the pulpo and the risotto was quite nice. Our server was absent most of the time and we felt like we had to chase him down for service. It's a nice atmosphere, but it's not out of this world.

F
Fred Kelly

The food is variable, portions on the small side. Service is efficient if a little perfunctory. The bread we got at the start of the meal was dry and had been reheated. For this price point, I'd expect freshly baked bread. The key thing about this place is its lovely location by the park.

D
Diego Semede

Food was fine, but you can eat just as good in Santiago for half the price. The building is impressive, so if you like architecture, this should be interesting. Service is... acceptable. It was an ok experience, but I wouldn't recommend or go back.

The definition of a "good view restaurant". Located on a nice park with a pond with swans and ducks. Lovely sunset views from the terrace on a clear day (ideal for easily pleased tourists). The inside tables can get very busy. Food is ok but pricey for what you get. Parking is a bit challenging.

C
Christopher Adamczyk

Great ambiance and views. The service was average, and while the food was good, the portions were small.

M
Maruf Rahman

The restaurant setting is overwhelmingly beautiful, it looks like they spent most of their money on decor and presentation rather than working on the actual delicacy of the food. We ordered Grilled Octopus and Seabass. Grilled Octopus was presented beautifully; the dish looked great. However, the black ink was underwhelming but the Octopus was missing flavor. They served small pico de gallo on the side, which felt completely out of place. Seabass dish was very eye-catching, the presentation was on point. However it was missing salt and seasoning. They served it on the bed of vegetables, which were mostly baked and dropped, not seasoned at all. Few pieces of potatoes and some seasoning would have transformed the dish completely. It was disappointing, given how much I heard about this restaurant. We also ordered Tres Leches, needless to say I had better Tres Leches from the local supermarket in a plastic box. Overall, I think the name brand they have and price they charge, food is not up to par.

Oscar Mendoza

When I arrived the hostess was pretty rude, and the server wasn’t really attentive to my table. I came here because I heard great things online about it, but it was definitely overhyped because of the ambiance. The food was ok, but way too expensive for what you get. The only thing that I would give this place is the ambiance, that’s for sure 5/5 since you have such a great view. And the restaurant itself is very nice.

Disclaimer: I've visited MESTIZO a half dozen times over the last couple of years. Evenly distributed between dinners and lunch/brunches. This time it was a disappointing overall experience. Went to celebrate a nephew's birthday. Party of six. Grandma, wife, sister in law, and the celebrated nephew with his partner. Firstly: a "Tabla de quesos" so poorly presented, that I hesitated to return to it, but thought otherwise to avoid a bad time for the guests. Five puny pieces of cheese, without any garnishing at all. No bed of lettuce..., no grapes...., no olives..., nothing. Just five puny pieces of cheese unceremoniously thrown on a wooden plank. That was it. Way way way too expensive for the horrible quality and quantity of the item. Two of us ordered Risotto del Mar (or something like that). We could nearly count the kernels of rice. Really! Another disappointing experience. A puny serving, for a price that promised a heftier plate On the good side..., the beef ordered by another party was large enough to be shared. Cooked to order, and with a nicely presented side salad. The Seared Tuna, and the Oyster Platter ordered by the two other guests were also well presented. The Churros, Ice Cream and Flan con Manjar were very good. The Pisco Sour and Margarita drinks were OK, although didn't have Ginger Beer, neither the waiter knew what that was. Had to settle for overly priced tiny bottles of Tonic Water. The "indoor" seating was so noisy that one could hardly hear the other person talking from across the table. And to top it all, with the wind blowing into the totally open "indoor", the cigarette smoking from those seating "outdoor" was a disgustingly issue that one had to endure. Service was too slow. The view to the nearby park is very nice. Overall: two stars. Anything more would be misrepresentative.

Our food took over two hours and he forgot three items even after a second reminder. Seems very understaffed. Fairly good food but definitely not worth the wait. If you’re coming to get drunk then you’ll probably give a 4 or 5 star review
