La experiencia en Marqués de Riscal fue increíble. El lugar es simplemente espectacular: entre la arquitectura, las vistas y el ambiente, sientes que estás en un sitio muy especial. La visita estuvo súper bien organizada y el personal fue amabilísimo, explicando todo con mucho detalle y haciendo la experiencia muy cercana. Los vinos, como era de esperarse, deliciosos. La cata fue un momento precioso, muy cuidado y con productos de excelente calidad. Es un sitio al que vale totalmente la pena ir al menos una vez, ya sea por la historia, el vino o simplemente por disfrutar del entorno. Una experiencia de 10. ¡Súper recomendado! 🙌🏻

Espectacular. Hicimos la visita con Asaad, muy amable, nos contó toda la historia, procesos y nos hizo una cata hermosa. Además de que realmente nos hizo disfrutar de cada momento del recorrido. La bodega es maravillosa, los viñedos en otoño son espectaculares, las instalaciones de 3 siglos diferentes invitan a soñar y hacer un viaje en el tiempo. 1000% recomendable.

Hoy hemos vivido una experiencia increíble. Una ruta guiada por las bodegas, una explicación muy grata por nuestra guia. Visita de las 12.00. También nos pusieron un video de 7.12 min para entender mejor el proceso de elaboración del vino. Al finalizar una cata de 3 vinos blanco verdejo, crianza tinto del 2022 y Reserva del 2022, con salchichón y chorizo. Gran experiencia recomendable!!! Aunque no te hospedes en el hotel; puedes disfrutar bajo Reserva de sus servicios como restaurante o spa y tratamientos de vino 🍷

En mi opinión lo mejor es la visita guiada por la bodega. Mantenida como antaño no deja de sorprender, ademas choca muchísimo el ver algo tan antiguo con algo tan absolutamente moderno como es el hotel. Dos espacios completamente diferentes pero que se complementan de manera perfecta. Muy recomendable la visita, muy recomendable.

A interesting winery in the heart of Spain’s Rioja region. While commercialized, the experience was still impressive and well done. The tour guide was professional and knowledgeable, walking us through the entire process — from bottling to distribution. We took a fabulous, detailed tour of the winery and the winemaking process. The tour ended with a tasting of three delicious wines and charcuterie. Our guide, Asaad, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He took the time to answer all questions. We have been on many winery tours and this one has to be the best. Wow! An amazing tour with Vanessa. We paid €26 each which includes vineyard tour, tasting 3 wines and local meat and bread. Great value, great tour and lovely wines. I spent lots in the shop afterwards too. We also got to see the hotel which has amazing structure. Went in for a coffee too. Highly recommend.

Marques de Riscal is one of our favorite wines in Spain. We therefore obviously had to do the tour. We were not disappointed! It was great and my family really enjoyed it. Here two things I believe stand out: You can easily do the tour with kids (even young age). This is a bit like in France, very open minded no problem, (the kids even got grape juice and something to nimble, they loved it). This would be impossible in the USA (and is not done at all in the Napa Valley (for example). The second thing is that the wine is so good, I ended buying around 15 bottles in the shop (which is really nice and probably one of the nicest we had seen in Rioja). The picture is 350EUROS of wine, like 3 Magnums and 12 bottles) This was best winery tour in my experience (and I done many now). !!

Our experience at Marqués de Riscal was very good. The setting is stunning, the architecture is unique, and the service was professional and attentive. The food and wine were well-prepared and enjoyable, making for a memorable meal. While it was a great experience overall, it was not the very best we’ve had during our trip. Still, it’s a place worth visiting for the combination of history, design, and quality.

We took the 56€ wine tasting tour and it was overall a very pleasant experience. The tour starts with a view of the hotel, they only let you look at it from afar like it’s a museum item. I understand that the people paying $1,000/night to stay there do not want to cross tourists, but disappointing nonetheless since I see pictures of other tourists who were let to see all the way to the lobby. Double standard. The tour continues in the storage facilities, then production, and it finishes with the wine tasting. The wines were OK, one was really good. We all really loved the meats and cheese, better than average, that was high-end. I have to mention our tour guide, Asaad, without him, the tour would have been average. But Asaad is very patient with everybody, answers all the questions and is a very pleasant person to discover the property with. Classy guy. The wines were OK, we spent even more after the tour to taste other wines, very expensive sampling. Overall, the Marquès de Riscal wine tour was a fun activity. Comparing to other tours, it was less informative on history but better for wine discovery. The wines are average compared to other ones in the region, Marques de Riscal just does a better job at marketing itself than others and I have to say, they do it very well. There is attention to details and they see a lot of tourists. If it was not for Asaad, the price was too high, but he made it worthwhile and rebalanced the price/quality ratio. Took a winery tour here and while the tour was interesting, it took so long that by the time we got to the tasting we were told we would have five mins to finish our wine shortly after we were introduced to the three glasses. Many people from the group had to leave early because the tour itself went so long (1 hr and 45 mins or so). The tour guide spent far too much time discussing the hotel amenities and spa and architecture of the building and less time talking about the wine making process. The wine was great as expected, however.

A very nice vineyard with great wines to try in the restaurant part if you don’t get a chance to reserve a tour. One star less because the restaurant area does not feel particularly appealing. Another star less because the service was not too nice and the croquets were cold in the middle. Recommendation: try the 3 wine tasting option (€15) + get a couple more glass tastings (€11) and you have tried the best wines they have and saved yourself a mass tasting in the room next door. Note: You cannot see the architecture from the area where you can go free of reservation but you can drive 2 mins up the hill and see the hotel and the village quite nicely.

The good: - The tour was informative and very interesting The not so good: - If you don’t drink wine you still have to pay the same amount, and instead you are giving water or grape juice. - While wine drinkers get 3 drinks, you only get one, but still same price - Chances are they will forget about you so you won’t get served until everyone else does - If you are in odd numbers you won’t be able to socialise with your friends while you have sociable drinks, and unless you know this and know that you need to run to the front to get two tables close to each other, you will end up on the opposite side of the room, like I did. Sadly, the tasting ruined what had otherwise been a perfectly fun and enjoyable outing, even as a non drinker.

VISITA A LA BODEGA. Dejó mucho que desear. La chica que nos guió en la visita en español tenía un acento extranjero que hacía difícil la comprensión de sus explicaciones. Daba mucha información muy rápido sin dar tiempo a asimilar lo que te iba explicando, parecia la lectura de un guión que había que acabar en un tiempo estipulado y acosta de que el visitante tuviera una mala experiencia. Ella fue amable pero la visita perdió interés al poco de empezar ya que no había manera de seguirla. Además por 60€ y comparado con otras bodegas de conocido nombre es caro. Adjunto foto del picoteo y los 3 vinos. De las 3 copas me tuvieron que cambiar dos por estar rotas, feos detalles.
