Tom at 101

This was our first visit to Tom 101 and it won't be our last. Sunday evening so fairly quiet, staff were really good and the food was great. Cocktails went down and treat and the 'slippery nipple' was oh so good.

Go upstairs at Tom at 101. Love this place for a drink, foods good, but you dont have to eat here. On a Thursday, Fri and Sat theres normally live music on, usually good. Does not get over busy but classy and intimate. Try it

I've been going to Toms for a number of years now and it never fails to impress. The food is always of a very high standard, the quality and presentation are second to none. Its always a great atmosphere day or night and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Toms to anyone!

I dined at the restaraunt on sunday afternoon. We went upstairs and the restaurant had a warm atmosphere and felt really relaxed. There was a guy in the corner playing chilled out music on the piano and even played some nursery rhymes for one of our youngest. To top it off it was the best beef I have had in a while and they even managed to cook it rare and I loved the yorkshire i got with it. I will be back there soon with some friends.

Served by a young man called Nick. Serve was EXCELLENT. Constant attwntion when needed without being in your face. Food was brilliant. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I already have plans to go back.

the food was amazing the bread board for starters had amazing pesto and my main meal the penne pasta was possibly the nicest pasta i have ever experienced the atmosphere accompanied by a painting of the NYC skyline and smooth jazz music (exclusive to the day i went Tuesday) and the money wasn't a large problem for me as i wasn't paying!

Well what can i say, wow what a night last night was, 18 of us went and we were treated to a top night, well done all at toms @ 101, we arrived to a warm welcome and seated straight away, drinks were served straight away, and the food was delivered shortly after,the band were just superb we were singing along throughout the meal and when finished we danced until the early hours, the place was packed and everyone was loving the night so well done to you all at toms @ 101 and will we be back sooner than later 10 out of 10

Really nice. Staff great. Food great. Cocktails and wine great. Live music was a bit much though, it was just not the right vibe. Maybe after 10pm or something? But during a meal when you wanna chat it just was annoying. Especially because the guy was awful haha.

Probably the best food in Stockton Heath, you may pay a little more for it but it's worth the extra. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere with events running through they year. Works well with the wine bar below

Ladies' tea in glorious first floor setting. Discreet but attentive staff; delicious food. FAR too many sandwiches (probably double what we needed) which meant cake went uneaten <scandal> and the range of cakes was a bit odd.

Great place to eat and drink. Last visited for a Christmas party and although very busy and tables a bit tight they did everything to make it right and we had great night! Live music was excellent and porn star martini’s well worth a visit for. Highly recommend 👍

Great service, amazing food

Had a meal here last year and the whole experience was dreadful but ate there tonight and have to say I was extremely impressed the meal was lovely and the staff were very attentive it has changed my whole opinion and will definitely make another visit

Used to be the best restaurant in Stockton Heath but that seems a distant memory now. Still good for drinks and the live music saves it.

Nice place. Menu was fairly comprehensive. Service professional and friendly. However...when I order two steaks I would expect vegetables to be provided. Instead ..I had to order these as a side order of three, spinach, broccoli, carrots. ..which cost a further £10. So in recap...it's good..but not that good.

Sardines were not on the menu but to compensate, the restaurant sought to provide that experience through the ridiculous layout of tables. On arrival we found our table for 12 set on a table only able to comfortably accommodate 10. The waiters were faced with the dilemma of introducing another table into an area already pushed to the limit. The introduction of an extra table larger than the others just added to the overcrowding problem as the waiters has to barge their way through to serve other guests at our table or at the one behind. I was constantly asked to move to allow waiters past. Other times, the waiters just pushed me aside to be able to get through. The back to back arrangement of tables between ours and the one behind was such that chairs were touching back to back. In the end, the waiters gave up serving and simply passed meals to the head of the table so we could pass it down. I might be happy with that in MacDonalds (no offence) but not in here. This visit was in mid Dec so I suppose they are catering for the Christmas crowd. Well they got the crowd bit right but I rate the overall experience as very poor. Music was loud unimaginative. To cap it all, my steak was dreadful. I was able to eat less than half of it, the rest being gristle. I hope not to have to make a return visit.

We have stopped coming here on a Sunday evening, for our usual child free night of drinks and socialising, as they have a live DJ playing what I feel is ridiculously loud disco music. We felt irritated as soon as we arrived as the bar staff struggled to hear my order and my partner and I were unable to hold a conversation against the background noise. Thoroughly disappointing as this was our favourite place to come on a Sunday. It's lost its appeal as a chilled cosy relaxing venue.

Disappointing. We went for an anniversary meal on a Thursday evening. the first surprise is that live music is advertised on a Thursday but clearly was not scheduled. Also, while most restaurants in Stockton Heath are fully booked even mid week there were only 3 tables in use for the duration of our meal. This would usually indicate a reduction in waiting times and hotter food but did not seem to have an impact and sadly contributed to the lack of atmosphere. This is hardly the restaurants fault and likely just unfortunate but did not create a space that we wanted to spend more time in. The main disappointment was the food itself and the prices - For what was on offer the entire menu seemed £1-4 overpriced per dish. while seeming not a problem this adds up and certainly deterred us from getting starters (£8-12/plate) or nibbles(£4-6/plate). We opted for the sharing board Chateaubriand steak with the assumption that it would be filling and if still hungry could go for a desert. The steak was a little smaller than expected and came pre-sliced - since we ordered it rare this contributed to rapid cooling even on transit to the table. on size it looked like two 8oz steaks sliced into 4 pieces each, and came with a single bowl of chunky chips, 4 onion rings, 4 baby tomatoes and 5 mushrooms. Unfortunately the sauces were also luke-warm and the steak under/not at all seasoned. While very tender it was not the deluxe steak experience we were expecting and when I explain that this plate cost £58 it explains our disappointment. We were both still hungry after finishing all of this but did not feel that spending further on desert would be satisfying or frankly good value for money. The service was good, the cocktail, wine and beer very nice but our conclusion is that there is better food, for better value and atmosphere elsewhere, both in Stockton Heath and Warrington. Again in fairness we did not raise our concerns to the staff at the time to give them an opportunity to address these issues but complaining about what is clearly just a standard there seemed unhelpful.

Average food, cold dining area, service was average.

Table service makes it impossible to get a drink when you want one. You can't get a drink at the bar and must wait for the understaffed table service to eventually get round to you while some chav demands an ice bucket for his asti. Avoid.

Too busy, terrible service, bar staff can't Manage a busy bar and it was a crap pint for the price...

Average overpriced food in dated surroundings. Service was ok.
