Warwick Valley Winery is a beautiful and popular spot, especially during apple picking season. Customers rave about the atmosphere, live music, and selection of wines, ciders, and spirits. Some find the parking fee and service charges excessive, and it can get very crowded.

Beautiful place to hang out with friends on a weekend. The 5 wine tasting menu is just for $10 per person. There was live music here on a Saturday afternoon. There’s a in-house kitchen for snacks.
I wanted to share that I purchase Docs Sour Cherry Cider usually by the case every couple weeks. It’s my favorite! I had a batch was a little off to me. I tried to exchange at the place where I always bought it. We live in South Carolina. The store was not helpful. So I emailed Warwick Valley Winery and asked if they could help. A few days later I received a call from Sarah. She was very gracious and replaced my cider with a new batch. She is looking into what may have happened. I am very grateful for her assistance and will be able to get my cider from a different store here. Thank you again for the Best Customer Service Ever! Deborah Millar A very loyal Docs customer. Hoping to get to the Winery soon.
I have been coming here for years. YEARS! It’s such a great escape especially during the week and you need a great place for lunch. The cafe has such great options for everyone. The tastings are great too, but little secret… grab a bottle of their sangria and some glasses…you cannot go wrong with anything here. Cheers!
Such a great spot! I came here with my boyfriend and it was almost empty on a Friday late afternoon, which we loved! We enjoyed the wine tasting and cider tasting. We loved the Harvest Moon wine and their sangria was really good too! The atmosphere was so warm, cozy, and inviting. The staff were also so friendly and informative! I would definitely come back!
Our favourite upstate apple picking / cider drinking / whiskey tasting / fall experience. On the weekends it can get pretty busy so we opt for the Tuesday chill vibe. The tasting room is open and you can try the local ciders or whiskey. Grab some snacks from the fridge and chill in the crisp fall air and relax. They have an amazing orchard of apples with tons of varieties to pick from. Everyone is always really friendly and knowledgable about all the stuff they produce. The grounds are beautiful to roam. Easy to get to and park. Close to the town of Warwick.
Such a fun place to spend the day! This winery and orchard (about 1.5 hours from Jersey City or NYC) has everything — apple picking, wine tasting, food, drinks, live music, and even ice cream. We’d been here a couple of years ago and came back recently — it’s still just as great. We went at the end of September/early October, and the orchard was full of beautiful apples — red, green, super crisp and sweet. Apple picking costs $40 per bag (they give you a big one to fill), and honestly it’s worth it. We filled ours easily and the apples were top quality. The place is huge, with tons of open green space and picnic-style seating. Perfect spot to bring a blanket, relax on the grass, and enjoy some drinks. They had live music when we visited, and the whole vibe was just super chill and family-friendly. We tried a few ciders, one cocktail, and ordered pizza and a pulled pork sandwich — all tasty, a bit pricey but expected for this kind of spot (around $45 for the food). There’s also a shop where you can buy wine or cider bottles to take home — great for gifts! Overall, a perfect fall day trip. Plan to spend the whole day there — eat, drink, pick apples, and enjoy the view. Highly recommend bringing a blanket and just soaking it all in 🍎🍷
We love this place and make a day of it. It can get pricey if you drink but for us it’s worth it. We bring our own tables and chairs, a tent and setup on the grass. We enjoy a good lunch, bring lawn games, and sample most of their alcohol, the wine is good, the sangria better and the apple cider is the best. We also tried their bourbon, which was also good. We also go apple picking, so this is an entire day of fun. They have live music playing as well, which is a nice touch. We also buy alcohol to bring home with us as well. The only annoying thing, which is getting out of control everywhere, you buy bottles of alcohol in the store and the credit card machine automatically asks for a tip. Even in a store they expect tips now.
Visited for the first time this weekend and not only was the weather perfect but the cider, wine, food and apples were amazing! Our wine steward, Dawn, was very knowledgeable and friendly! She gave us plenty of recommendations on how to mix and serve the different ciders and spirits. We were even able to take a group photo on the tractor Will definitely visit again in the spring or summer
Such a wonderful place! We went for a Bob Dylan show and the vibes were great. The venue is beautiful, and so many places to sit and room for kids to run around. We had the best day sitting in the grass and enjoying the music. The food and drinks are all great - with a special shout out to the Margherita pizza. The cafe and store are so well stocked. Everyone there was so nice. Just a wonderful day all around - we can’t wait to go back!
Wine, vibe and food all really good. Visited during the winter so imagine it being nicer during the summer. We did the wine and cider tasting. Great price. Wine and Cider tasting comes with a souvenir glass with knowledgeable staff. Food was very good. I had the cheesteak and hubby had the brisket tacos both delicious! Highly recommend!
A true gem that deserves its shine! We walked in on Sunday afternoon. They had live music by SoulSense. Samantha and her band - amazing!! The band shouted out my friend for her birthday. We talked to the front person, who gave us the run down that it's pretty much self seating and go to the bar when there is an opening. We were a large group - 10 but John P. really gave us a great tasting experience. I did the cider tasting with my favorite, starting with pumpkin, then sour cherry, then original apple. I ended up getting a hot cider. The rest of the group did the wine tasting also. I loved their wall listing women who inspire the world. It is a wonderful place to just get out of the house. If I lived in the area, I would make this my weekly reset spot.
It was going to be an absolutely gorgeous day, so I took the family out for an adventure. Was taken back by the $10 parking/admission fee at first thinking "hey I'm gonna drop over $300 today on wine and food." Good thing we got here early as it got friggin packed by 2pm. I honestly don't think this place was prepared to handle the amount of people it took in. Not enough food options and vendors. The cider and wine tasting booth was an absolute disgrace. If you wanted to purchase products be prepared for a long line as well. Look honestly we had fun, just saying they need to do a better job at preparing for the sheer amount of people it takes in with a minimum of 6 food trucks scattered around. Needs another two tasting booths for the amount of people it takes in with a minimum of 6 food trucks scattered around. Needs another two tasting booths.
We had a wonderful time here. Place was packed. It was the start of apple picking season! So it is $10 for parking now. There is a very nice selection of wine, ciders and spirits. My favorite whites: the Chardonnay and Harvest Moon; Favorite cider: raspberry cider(honestly they were all good); spirit: black dirt 4 year bourbon. The band was great and they had a nice food selection. The restrooms were clean and the staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
I recently visited the wine distillery with my family and we had an absolutely amazing time! The moment we stepped in, we were blown away by the stunning beauty of the place. The ambiance was perfect, with a live band playing in the background, adding a touch of elegance to the atmosphere. Although we missed the tour, the wine tasting experience more than made up for it. The staff who poured us our wine were not only knowledgeable and professional, but they also had an incredible sense of humor. They made the tasting session so much fun. The selection of wines was exceptional, each one offering a unique and delightful taste. We were guided through the tasting process, and the staff took the time to explain the characteristics of each wine, making it an educational experience as well. I highly recommend this wine distillery to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable outing. Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just looking to have a great time with your loved ones, this place has it all.
Great winery in Orange County NY and part of the Shawangunk wine trail. Before I left this review I read the lowest ones and had a great laugh as always. It was funny to read about how people expect to go to the heart of NY apple picking during apple season and get right in to popular places with no fees and no crowds etc. Thats is one of the worst things about fall in Orange county is obnoxious loud entitled people coming up from NYC and New Jersey acting like dopes. Now to the real deal. Warwick Valley is a fine spot to visit. If you go off season they still have music on the weekend and the cafe and tasting rooms is open and there are no crowds. The wine and cordials that they produce are fantastic with Black Dirt Red being one of my favorites. Late fall post apple season is a great time to go. There is nothing like orange county in the fall with a crisp fall breeze and a steel blue gray sky. If you are in the area definitely stop by.

Very nice place but took the motorcycle to have lunch only and charged $10 to park to eat. If you’re going to spend a few hours I guess it’s worth it but $10 to park and eat lunch come on. We got there at five of 12 and they made us wait five minutes until they opened. People were waiting so seems like it was a little much. Food was good and atmosphere was nice
Overpriced for what it is. $10 parking fee and a 15% service charge even on to-go food orders and drinks, including apple cider and sodas. Food and wine were just okay. The food and drink lines are separate, so you have to wait in long lines twice (even at 2pm) — and after ordering, we waited 35 minutes for the food to come out. It also took about 50 minutes just to find a table, which had no chairs. The portapotty bathrooms were dirty and unpleasant. Apple picking was ok, but overall it felt too expensive, crowded, and not very family-friendly.
