Went there for lunch. Lots of Vegetarian/vegan options. Lovely customer service. Affordable meals with decent portions. Will definitely be visiting again

Booked for an early Tuesday evening dinner. Wow we were impressed. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the seating evenly spaced. The waiters were very helpful and friendly, a special shout out to Dal. He was very warming, chatty and made the whole experience very nice. Now onto the food. We had to make it 3 courses as there is something for everyone. The food is fresh, cooked to perfection and plenty. Will certainly recommend this place to others and will be returning. Will try the lunch menu next time I think! Well worth the visit. Oh and the bathroom facilities were so clean and tidy. Cannot fault this restaurant and can see why it has won awards.

I visited here during a midweek trip to the Viking city and stumbled across Momo Restaurant. The lady at reception kindly offered me a table which I was not expecting as the restaurant was very busy. The menu is varied and there's something for everyone and ultimately I ordered the pan fried hake with mussels, green veg (broccoli and asparagus) served with a side dish of roast potato. The hake was cooked to perfection and there was a generous portion size of 2 fillets. The veg and accompanying sauce were also delicious. The potatoes deserve a place on the menu by themselves. The best roast potatoes I've ever eaten. Deliciously flavoured, crispy edges and floury inside. I ate an entire bowl of them and would honestly bo back for them alone. Occasionally I come across places like Momo who have such a love for food that it shows on every dish. Couldn't be better.

A delightful surprise, one of the best dinners we have ever had in Ireland. Everything in Momo has been perfect for us. The atmosphere was lovely and warm, with dim lights. The restaurant was full of people but everyone kept quiet and respectful while remaining cheerful. Every table had a beautiful bouquet of gorgeous fresh daffodils. The menu of specials is handwritten on a large blackboard that you bring to your own table. Nice idea to offer a selection of refreshing cocktails based on Prosecco and some cordial. The bisque was superb and the seafood in it very tasty. When we asked for some bread to mop the sauce the waitress (who I think was the owner) immediately understood that we didn't want toasted bread but soft one so she asked the kitchen to just heat it the right amount. The risotto was a real surprise. Incredibly tasty, it would have been appropriate in some of the best restaurants in Italy where risotto is a local pride. The dessert also very tasty and rich. All the staff very gentle and attentive, ready to exchange jokes and politely having fun with us. When we left, a recommendation on where to have delicious pastries. There is not one single thing that I could imagine would help improve the experience. Bravi.

A must be restaurant in Waterford. Food is unbelievable. We had beef Rib and pork risotto. Absolute stunning. Can wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. Fair play to you chef!

Stunning meal, service and restaurant. Camilla and staff couldn't have made our experience any better. The food was exceptional. There were six of us and not a single one of us had to use seasoning on any dish. Just perfection.

From start to finish, our evening at Momo Restaurant in Waterford was exceptional. The service was fantastic—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We began with the veggie sampler, which set the tone with vibrant, fresh flavors. For my main course, I had the John Dory fish, and I can honestly say it was out of this world—perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. After such a stellar meal, I couldn’t resist dessert, and I’m glad I didn’t. It was the perfect ending to an already incredible experience. To top it all off, Camilla took the time after dinner to chat with us and offer some great local pub recommendations. That personal touch really made the night memorable. Highly recommend Momo for anyone looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and a genuinely warm atmosphere.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here with the whole family. The menu is great value for the standard of food served. Everyone in our party loved their food. Particular dishes of note were the beef rib and the chicken burger. The service was attentive and engaging. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Thanks for a great experience.

An excellent place to experience food luxury. We had risotto, soup of the day and tiramisu. Everything was perfectly made and served. I would highly appreciate the staff's warm behavior and service as well which added a double joy to the overall experience.

One of the best restaurants in Waterford, and has been for a long time. Food is wonderful. Staff are so attentive and friendly. The decor is warm and inviting. Can't recommend enough.

Great location, reservations available with Open Table. They've a new menu, as of mid-October 2025. Delicious special of Hake. Great desserts, when in doubt, choose chocolate! Delightful servers!

This restaurant stands out from the pack by a country mile. The combination of a exciting tasty extensive wholesome menu that carers for both the conservative and exotic pallette served with the greatest courtesy, kindness and good humour in a city centre location decorated with a taste that parallels the food itself......lunch and dinner available. I suspect you can tell I LOVE THIS PLACE....booking highly advisable if weekend night.

Had one of our best meals of our trip here. Dessert was especially delicious! Almond tiramisu roulade and chocolate fondant. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. We went early as we didn't have a reservation but they were very accommodating. Worth a visit!

Had dinner before a show in the Theatre Royal last week. Great food. The waitress couldn't have been more help full when my sister asked if they could do muscles as a main for for her 6 yrs old daughter as they are her favourite. A big bowl of fresh muscles came out with garlic bread. My neice was very excited. We were all delighted with our food. The menu had very good vegetarian and vegan options. If children want any dish from the adult menu they will only charge for a child's meal.

Party of 4 turned up without a reservation and were acommodated by the staff so nicely. Great selection on the menu, made it hard to decide, I wanted everything! Best patatas bravas I've had outside of Spain. Desserts were elegant and delicious. Loved the wine, the ambiance all out great end to a lovely day trip to Waterford. Highly recommend, good value for money 👌

There are plenty of vegan and veg options. Cauliflower wings and pulled "pork" made of Tempeh was delicious. Really enjoyed the food, I didn't book in advance but was accommodated - the staff was super nice too!

Momo is top tier from start to finish. Making a booking is incredibly efficient. The atmosphere and service is great from when you walk-in till you leave. The food is divine and honestly, I’d have that pistachio ice-cream everyday, twice on Sundays.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, extraordinary and family friendly staff plus delicious food - I hope this restaurant is a great success as it deserve it. The food was simply divine. Unlike my husband I am not a steak person, so I've only tried a piece (he always tries to convince me), but must say it was delicious! I think it was the best one I've tried in Ireland, and we do travel quite a lot. My salad with roasted beef and baked sweet potato was also fab and more fulfilling then I expected, the only thing was a bit to much (very tasty) olive oil. And then the staff. The waiter not only went to the kitchen to ask if my hubby could have a steak from the dinner menu before 13 pm but also took wonderful care of my son, bringing him multiply colouring cards and even letting him put his finished art on the side of the counter. It was absolutely fantastic overall experience and we are definitely going back.

Absolutely beautiful meal at Momo. The food was unreal, from starter through to dessert. The flavours, the tastes, presentation just perfect. Friendly staff, great atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommend Momo for a night out, if you like good food. Very well priced for the fantastic food.

We had two vegan toasted sandwiches which were amazing!!! 10/10 Also, the girl working there (vegan herself) was so friendly and helpful. (I didn't get her name) I would definitely return again if in the area. Not just bland vegan food and a few choice too. Very happy, great menu. We also weren't charged full price as we got them to take away.

I really, really enjoyed dinner here. One of the best meals I've had this year. I had the seafood yellow Thai Curry, it was an incredible mixture of local seafood incl shellfish and Thai cuisine. 10/10. I also had the vegan Mess for dessert and it did not disappoint. My dining companion had the chicken supreme and the chocolate fondue. Again, absolutely top quality.

Fantastic place. Menu is varied and interesting. I had the beef short rib and it was just perfection. Fell apart on the fork and all the accompaniments were delicious. Had the chocolate fondant for desert and it was worth the 10 minute wait. Very indulgent but nicely sized so as not to overdo it. The Nero d'Avola I had alongside was also top notch. Literally couldn't fault it. We were there with the kids and they were chuffed with it all too - particularly the wide selection of ice-cream. All-in-all a fantastic restaurant.

I wasn't planning to go to Waterford at all but I am pretty glad I did. Because of this I was able to discover this hidden gem on the Irish soil. First of all, let's talk about the vibe of this restaurant. When I passed the doors, I felt right away that the place was right. You know this kind of feeling when you know you are going to eat well! The staff was very welcoming and they did help me to choose my main course which was one of the special : BBQ Hash Salad with cauliflower tempura (or something like that). This dish was a real blast. The flavours, oh the flavours, they were there that's for sure! It's been a while since I last enjoyed a salad the way I did today. However the plate is waaaaay too big if you want to have a dessert afterwards (at least for myself). So if you are not a big eater, you might want to say it to the waitresses. Same thing with the dessert which was quite huge (I had the panna cotta) but quite good too. Pretty happy to have found this place! I would recommend, it's not really expensive so give it a try ✌️

Really good spot for fresh local food. I had their fish of the day which ended up being hake. Really flavorful and cooked well. Decor of the restaraunt was nice as well. I thought the prices were pretty fair as well considering this seems like a slightly more upscale food choice.

The service is superb. The food was delicious. We ordered ahead on the phone & nothing was too much trouble. Our food was served 5 minutes after we arrived. 2 mains & 2 deserts for €60. I strongly recommend Momo's.

Delicious food served unpretentiously in a warm and comfortable environment. Staff is very gracious and accommodating....although we did not have a reservation the manager went out of his way to seat us, something most restaurants won't make the effort to do. Kudos to Momo.

My wife and I had an unreal dining experience at this restaurant. The food was top-notch. I ordered the rack of lamb, which was cooked perfectly—well-done on the outside and a succulent medium on the inside. The dish was fantastic, served with rosemary and a smooth, plump puree. My wife's dish was equally impressive; she ordered the chicken fillet, which came with a delicious garlic white sauce. The meal was absolutely sublime. I would recommend this restaurant for taste and value

We got a table almost straight away, despite not booking. My wife and I got the salad hash bowl with the cauliflower wings. This was honestly one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time. It was so delicious. I would strongly recommend this place, great food and super friendly staff.

Lovely staff and a nice setting, but €15 for a wrap on its own just can’t be justified. I totally understand that rates, bills, and wages all need to be covered, but at that price, even a few chips or a small salad on the side would make a big difference.

Wanted to love it. Menu read very well. My experience may have been colored my assumption that the ‘toastie’ would be warm, as opposed to a piece of toast with a whole bunch of cold ingredients, and in proportions that I found inverted. That said, the fish tempura and curry were enjoyed, and the falafel were perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.

I have been here twice for lunch and once for dinner over a period of time and find it expensive for what it is. First time i ordered a sandwich with 3 side salads. Two salads arrived and 1/2 a sandwich which was a little larger than a normal slice of bread. The second time i didnt find the quality great. This review has information reviewed since my first review some time ago. I stand by what I review!, removed the sandwich pic as it didn't belong to this place. My facts are now definitely right.
