Branch line knows what they’re doing. Their menu is small but it’s because they do an amazing job with what they have on their menu. The space is absolutely gorgeous and has indoor and outdoor seating (a heated tent during the colder months). The staff is kind and knowledgeable, too. Their brunch is a must try.

Well established restaurant in a good location near a shopping center, in an industrial building with history and character. The exterior and interior appearance is not fancy but pleasant, also comfortable seating and clean restrooms. We went there for lunch on a Sunday, a party of ten including two kids, the atmosphere was family friendly. The disappointment starts at the menu, there's not many options for vegetarians, there's a lot of meat and also a lot of alcohol. The food was fresh and tasty, served on nice dishes, but with no paper napkins on the table (only cloth napkins to put on your lap). The latte was pretty bad, too strong with too little milk and no froth. The waiter (I don't know his name because the staff did not wear name tags) made a new one which was better, but served with no spoon, I stirred it with a knife. The checkout was not great. The check comes with a code that you scan with your phone, it made it harder for us to have some people pay with a credit card and the others Venmo them or pay with cash. The tip options were also too high, ranging between 18%-25%. Even younger people in our group, who are more comfortable doing everything on their phones, said that the checkout process was inconvenient. Pretty good experience overall :-)

Amazing cocktails, amazing hospitality. I got the old cuban and it was executed perfectly. Its nice to see bars still doing classic cocktails really well. Shoutout to my bartenders Will and Wyatt. The service staff was additionally very friendly and knew so much about the menu. Thank you to Clark for the desert recommendation. The sweet cream gelato was delicious.

We’re literally in the midst of a summer heatwave. It’s 6:30 PM and the “feels like” temp is 90 degrees. It’s been a 10-hr day working with 3-yr olds…but being the good wifey that I am, I hustled over to Branch Line to watch my hubby play live music w/ a jazz trio. Needless to say, it’s time for this Preschool teacher to eat! There was a busy, yet fast-moving line to the host stand. Turns out that there was a decent wait if you didn’t make a reservation. Fortunately for me, I’m flying solo for dinner, so I played the “my husband’s in the band” card. I was seated immediately, yay! Travis was my waiter, and he was very friendly and welcoming. I placed an order for the “Butterfly Effect” mocktail and the “Roasted Brick Chicken.” My drink and entree came out in a very timely manner. There was no complimentary bread and butter, which was totally fine, as I was here to eat my weight in protein, lol! (It’s chest day tomorrow and I need that extra strength when I hit that bench!) The mocktail was refreshing and just sweet enough to satiate my craving for an actual boozy cocktail! The brick chicken did not disappoint - perfectly cooked - tender, juicy, and topped with chimichurri. The dish also came with crispy feta potatoes that looked amazing, but I boxed them up and saved them for my husband. The only thing that could have made this meal possibly better would be air conditioning…and I was ever-so-grateful for the occasional breeze that came my way. The guests were a mix of young and old, including couples, and families with young children. The vibe is chill, and the dress code is casual. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There was a free parking garage across the street with plenty of space. In conclusion, I highly recommend Branch Line for anybody looking for a good-quality and tasty meal, in a laid-back setting.

So delicious! We ordered the kale and sausage pasta and the piri chicken. My spritz was also 10/10

Visiting from out of town and found Branch Line on a lark. Outside dining atmosphere was terrific. Great beverage selection, including NA's. Our waiter was very attentive. Recco the snow pea salad. Dressing was a great compliment to the fresh taste. Half Peri Peri Chicken was delicious and get the roasted potatoes with it (slight up charge). Only negative was the longer time gap between apple and main. Otherwise, perfection.

I’m writing this review in context of my wedding, but I’ll preface that I’ve come here many times prior to choosing it as the special spot for our big day. I’ll speak on the food part first so folks can benefit from that strictly on food/ambiance. Food: extremely accommodating BOH team. We love going for brunch (chicken and waffles and chicken banh mi are both sooo good), and they now have tacos on Mondays that are killer. Great cocktails, but the thing that I think about all the time is the creme brûlée and pot de creme desserts they have. Insane. I will say that I don’t feel like their menu changes all that often, and sometimes it would be nice to see a few new things. But on the whole, their staples are great. Oh, the crab cakes are also delightful! Ambiance: Ambiance wise, I like both indoor and outdoor options (though the last few times I ate outside in summer, there were a lot of wasps that wouldn’t leave us alone). Not a deal breaker and just the general con of eating outdoors. The inside is lovely and can feel a bit more intimate with the bench seating. Music is never too loud. They also have a covered patio with heaters so it’s nice to eat outside even on chillier nights. Parking is plentiful bc there’s a lot you can use that’s free, and honestly there isn’t much wait when I’ve gone bc it’s a bit off the beaten path. Choice as a wedding venue: probably unlikely that you’re reading this review for a wedding but in case you are...this location and the team is INCREDIBLE. Restaurants are SO UNDERRATED when it comes to weddings and I don’t understand why. 1. The food we knew was going to be awesome, but it was extra incredible bc the chefs worked with us consistently to make our ideas come to life. I worked in restaurants and my dad owned a restaurant, so the food part of the wedding was so important to me. It honestly felt like a lot of pressure bc my friends know I love to eat, so everyone was like “well we know your wedding food will be great since you’re a ~foodie~*”. Triggered. My anxiety was through the roof to make this perfect. Luckily, the team at Branch Line did not disappoint me AT ALL. Deena and Teagan kept me honest every step of the way, put my incomprehensible word vomits into concrete ideas & helped parse through panic decisions vs rationale ones. My guests dietary restrictions included gluten free, vegan, allergies, and BL tackled it all. I think I told them I loved them? I still mean it. (In case you’re wondering, my guests STILL rave about the food and it’s been a month. PHEW!). 2. Restaurants just make sense. They execute service FLAWLESSLY. They have the plates and supplies so no extra rental needed. They know the drill, they know their venue space inside and out, and the location perfectly blends indoors and outdoors. Probably the only complaint I’d have (no one has complained to me personally) is that I couldn’t fit everyone in one space. We awkwardly split folks up during the sit down meal, but since my wedding was a brunch wedding without dancing, it honestly didn’t feel that weird. 3. If you have a bit of an unconventional wedding like mine, restaurants are way more accommodating to things that suit your style. For instance, I made it pretty clear to Deena that I didn’t intend on having dedicated dancing. She made me feel at ease and said “no problem, we have corn hole and we can set up other games, or you can connect with these entertainment services I’ve worked with” (we didn’t end up doing that since my fiance and I made a bunch of table activities and iSpy games that people enjoyed). It just felt like I kept hearing “yes, and” instead of “no we don’t allow that”. Additionally, they helped walk me through all the decor changes I could make (it was thorough), and even let me keep some of their flowers on the tables. Overall, the entire Branch Line team really put in so much effort to make my wedding work out, and I am so incredibly thankful for them. If you’re looking for a venue for your special day, I HIGHLY recommend them! *to be clear, I do not claim being a foodie, okay?

I’ve been here a few times but never for a full dinner until now, so glad I did! Went for my birthday and had an amazing time. Big shoutout to our server Will, he was the best!

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! Whether you visit for brunch or dinner, the food and service never disappoint. We booked a 10-person table for New Year's Eve, and everything exceeded expectations. The service was outstanding, the food was incredible, the drinks were on point, and the ambience was perfect for ringing in the new year. Highly recommend!! Six of us had a work dinner here and it was outstanding. Such a charming hidden gem (though clearly many know about it-it was packed on a Wednesday night by 6pm). But when we came in at 5 it wasn’t busy yet, and food did not take long at all. Everybody loved everything they ordered! The mac and cheese (“cheddar and shells” I think they call it) was a side that surprised all of us how good it was.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The interior is beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of flavors. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy and enjoyable dining experience

The service here was phenomenal from start to finish, and we were so impressed by our knowledgeable waiter and wine sommelier. The food was incredible, especially the vegetable sides. Must-try’s: -Thumbelina Carrots - Sugar Snap Pea Salad - Steak Frites A bit outside of Boston, but definitely worth a trip. Great ambience inside and outside, and is a great spot for a corporate event, date night, or just a great brunch / dinner spot.

This place has an amazing vibe and it's clear that they know how to season their food. Everything we had was cooked to perfection. I was happy to see that they were cleaning frequently and they also had multiple options for seating depending on your comfort level. I ordered the whole chicken since their specialty is rotisserie and they have an amazing deal if you order the whole chicken.

Wanted to go here since it was on Phantom Gourmet. Did not disappoint! We started with the grilled squid, which was delicious. It had flaky salt and a spicy aioli on the side that was fantastic. The grilled lemon was a nice touch. My partner had the heirloom squash and tomato risotto, which she loved and was served in a generous portion. I ordered the Branch Line half chicken with potatoes. It comes in a platter of chicken jus, so everything was moist and delicious. The potatoes really absorb all the chicken fat and flavor. We also got spinach which was great. They were very accommodating for allergies, even a gluten allergy. We will be back. Most entres are over $25, just fyi! I think the ambience inside is great and the food makes it all worth it.

You! Are you in a relationship? Are you looking for a great fancy date spot in Armory Yards? Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna go to Branch Line and you're going to split a whole chicken with your current or soon to be significant other. Do you have to order the rotisserie chicken at Branch Line? Yes. I didn't make the rules but there they are. I have had many a chicken in my lifetime. Can I say that Branch Line is the best chicken dish I have ever had? I'm not sure. Can I say that Branch line rotisserie chicken is the best chicken only dish I have ever had? Yah, that sounds about right. Splitting a rotisserie chicken is just too much fun, the Peri Peri is so aoft and flavorful, and it comes with fries too! The buratta I had here was also one of the best burattas I have ever had. It's a small wonder at how tasty it is, but it is simply dwarfed by the sun that is the rotisserie chicken. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU DIP IT IN THE BASIN. They will try to take the flavor juices from you once the chicken is on your plate. They are kind and attentive and trying to be good servers but DO NOT LET THEM TAKE THE DRIPPINGS FROM YOU. If you work here and you read these word tell the people to dip! Insist they dip. Invite and implore them to have a little dippy. The chicken flavor will exolode in your mouth and you will cry and be in love for the first time or once again as if it were the first time, with your date and with your chicken. Seriously cool place, and near enough to the charles to be a biking destination to end on. Very romantic. GET THE CHICKEN.

I've been here a few times with friends when we want to go to a little more upscale place. The food has always been perfect. The menu does change from time to time, but is varied enough that you can always find something to your liking. Save room for desert! The staff is top notch. Minor substitutions weren't a problem (mashed instead of fries).

Haven't been here since pre-Covid and this place did not disappoint. Food was still just as delicious, some new menu items. Everything was still on point and very flavorful. We got the mussels that's a decent portion for 3 of us. We wished they had an option for the bread without the chicken drippings because we enjoyed dipping the bread in the mussels sauce much better. The garlic bread that came with the mussels was very tasty. We got the regular half chicken and also half piri piri chicken. Every dish from appetizers to entrees to dessert was consistent that we enjoyed everything equally.

It’s looks like pandemic got the best out of this place and causing literally 80% of menu is made of rotisserie chicken. Great food otherwise, not much cocktails selection but good beer selection and great outdoor seating area! Definitely a must visit.

I don’t even like chicken and the peri peri chicken was amazing. Cooked perfectly and so flavorful. I wasn’t in the mood for fries so I subbed mine out with the Mac and cheese. It was so tasty. My partner ordered the same thing but got the fries, they were also amazing! 10/10. UPDATE…. I Just want to add that the staff is also amazing. I literally finished my review, posted and was about to pack up my leftovers when I pulled a spastic chicken induced possessed move and somehow knocked my whole to go box off the table. Well maybe knocked isn’t the right word. It went flying under the table like the chicken still had wings. Needless to say, I was beyond embarrassed not to mention sad because I was really looking forward to those leftovers later. Guess what they did?!!! They made me a 1/4 chicken to go. The table next to me was like “I’m not surprised, they are great here but how nice to see”. I agree sir, I agree. I will definetly come back. Next time I’ll just let my fiancé pack my to go box for me 😂

So we drove by this place on the way to Best Buy and were mystified by the look from the outside patio and decided to go back for drinks, it had great online reviews so why not. I would never imagine a beautiful place like this to exist in Watertown but it’s a have to go. I love the older crowd and the design was stunning. Not a huge beer and wine list but pretty good for what it was. Our bartender was a delight. The Pilsner was on tap and in can so we got one of each and it was definitely tastier in the can. Their cider was also delicious (dry) and brown ale. We got the chicken soup and it was veeeeery salty. The show stopper was the brownie dessert, I have no clue what they put in it but it rocked our world. 10/10 will definitely coming back.

After being behind the scenes at countless weddings and events over the years, I have never been more impressed with the hospitality of any team. Branchline is the gold standard for seamless service, delicious food and beverages, and warm, welcoming vibes in a beautiful space. If you are looking for a special event venue, this is a truly exceptional place for both private parties as well as brunch, lunch and dinner every week!

While the menu is limited, the Branch Line serves tasty American fare in a large dining room with a full bar. Especially great for a breakfast, brunch, and/or lunch.

Food was good but the server hyped up this one dish that turned out to be extremely mid. Service was good but slow. Atmosphere would be 5 stars but we were outdoors and there was a lil rat that was trying to be too friendly.

Love going to Branchline with friends and family. The atmosphere is great (they have a big outdoor area in the summer) and the food is delicious. Who doesn't love excellent rotisserie chicken? Their Thanksgiving catering is also a fantastic option for the holiday. This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion

I went do Branch Line for the rotisserie chicken and the cocktails but I will be going back because of the service! Nick was our server on the heated patio and he really went above and beyond to give us a warm, welcoming experience from the start. Nick brought us menus and drinks while we waited for a patio table to be available. Then once we were seated, he brought us waters and extra plates without us needing to ask which was such a nice touch. He checked in frequently, shared a few laughs with us, gave great menu recommendations, and was truly the best part of our night. All the servers were pleasant and helpful, and they confirmed that are food was almond and seafood free for my friend with food allergies. Overall the food was good- chicken was a little too moist for me, I’d rather have more crispy skin and drier, fall off the bone chicken but it was well seasoned and tasted good. The mac and cheese was more creamy than cheesy but was again well seasoned. Cocktails were delicious. A bit pricy, but a very pleasant experience.

10 years of Branch Line, and they still deliver on all fronts - food, drink, and hospitality. Birthday dinner for a friend, with surprise guests. Nestore and Shawn made sure everything went off perfectly, including a vegan cake (I only asked about a few days in advance). Meric was our server, and ensured we were well taken care of. Andrew, one of the owners, knows his guests and works right alongside the team. Here’s to their next 10!

I am still really impressed with the quality of the food, presentation and service. I say "still" because I'm a local and have been to Branch Line several times since it opened, but it's been a while since my last visit. If anything, I'd say it was better than ever. They are still showing up, making the extra effort, not resting on their reputation. I'll be back soon.

Branch Line was the spot for our rehearsal dinner of about 30 people on a Friday night. We sat outside on the patio. The drinks were delicious. Food was served family style and we had the shrimp, snap pea salad, halloumi, rotisserie chicken, pork tenderloin, fish and beans, and mixed cookie brownie dessert plates. Everyone is still raving about the food and plan to come back when they can. Staff were helpful and courteous. They provided us with a microphone and speaker set up for speeches. We’re thankful to Deena and Branch Line for all their part in making our rehearsal dinner a resounding success that folks will be talking about for years to come!

I hosted a Baby Shower for 65 on the patio and could not be more pleased with Branches Line! Deena was a pleasure to work while plane g the event, and Alex was outstanding during our event. They had extra tables for gifts and games, the patio had beautiful plants and twinkle lights that added to the decorations we brought in. We had a brunch buffet and added a few items. Everything was perfect thank you Branch Line!

Branch Line is one of those rare spots that nails the vibe and the food without trying too hard. The whole place has this chill, effortless aura—warm lighting, stylish energy, but still the kind of fancy that somehow feels casual the second you sit down. And the live music? Unreal. We caught a set with bass/cello layered over drums, and it was the perfect kind of elevated background soundtrack—cool, intimate, and vibey without being loud or distracting. It honestly made the night feel like a little mini-event instead of just “going out to eat.” If you want a place where you can dress up a bit or show up relaxed, sip something great, and soak in a mellow-but-special atmosphere, Branch Line absolutely delivers. Can’t wait to go back.

10/10 everything. Food, service, ambiance all amazing. We got the octopus and the burrata salad for apps and both were so incredibly delicious. Steak frites and truffle chicken for our meals and both were so good. Probably some of the best truffle fries I’ve had.

The place was cute, nice decor. We sat outside in the patio. We went there for dinner. The food was delicious but nothing super special. I will appreciate the face that it was made fresh. The service was great. Drink options were ok. Not what I expected. A lot of wine. Cocktail menu is subpar. I say I expect more cocktails because it is such an inviting and fun space.

So many great things about this spot! There's plenty of parking in the garage available across the street. There's indoor seating which can get packed from the looks of it, but good news is there's outdoor seating with warmers to keep you nice and comfortable outside in the cool weather. It is pricey but the quality of the dishes makes every bite worth it. The ambiance gives the venue a nice touch and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend putting in a reservation if you can too since it does seem to be a really popular spot. When we went to check out Branch Line we ended up ordering a bunch of different seafood plates and they did not disappoint!

I’ve had Piri Piri chicken before, but this definitely is the most memorably delicious. Fries paired great with it and they have plenty of drinks to choose from. Definitely going to visit it again next time I’m in Watertown.

Great environment. This place screams craftsmanship in locale, food, and drink. Roving coffee bean selections keep things fresh. The rotisserie chicken is excellent. You should try their rotisserie cauliflower while there. The schmaltz potatoes are incredible. The chopped chicken salad wasn’t chopped (which was curious). Service was excellent and we were there with a large party (lunch) Play bocce while you wait. Reservations recommended!

Nice outdoor patio and a good amount of food. Would have been a five star if it weren't for the fact that our waiter completely neglected us. We sat at the table with our drinks for 30 mins before he finally came to take our orders. We also had to chase down another waiter to get our bill...

Nice bright spot in the middle of this industrial park in Watertown! The ambiance was like walking into an art gallery. We came for a change of scenery and were not disappointed. Started with spinach and artichoke dip - the chips were especially sturdy/salty which was great. The main course was the peri peri chicken; Brussel sprouts (amazing!); And very good mashed potatoes. The house sauce given was more of a gravy, and did not suggest anything unique. The best part was the dessert - the sundae. Amazing ice cream and very indulgent - something that very much kicked off a terrific dinner. Would recommend and look forward to coming back soon.

E

Food was nice but the dessert was the worst ever. I've been there multiple times for rotisserie chicken and snap pea salad. Good outdoor patio seating. We had dessert, but don't remember the name, it was chocolate something. It was hard as rock. Can't even cut. Top was stiff butter cream, bottom was even harder chocolate. I had to leave major portion of it. Didn't taste complex or delicious, rather it was like a edible cardiac arrest.

M
Marie Nilson

Great restaurant in the neighborhood. Prices seem slightly high but doesn’t deter us from coming. Our favorites are the piri piri chicken which is the house chicken with a spicy african sauce and the cobb salad. The burgers are also great with the rosemary fries. Unfortunately, the pork chop and snap pea salad didn’t live up to expectations. Fun to sit outside or on the heated patio in colder months. Often busy and can be hard to get a table / receive quick service but overall we enjoy Branchline!

J

Nice vibe and the food was pretty good. I ordered tea and it came in a little pot. It was surprisingly loose leaf which was delicious. Smashed potatoes with breakfast were good too. Lots of beer options. We would come back!

Ok this review is for anyone looking to get takeout. The family platter can easily feed 4 adults, and at $46.50 is insane value for the quality of food you get. While I was very pleased with my order, I do have a couple of notes. I arrived one minute after the pick up time, my food was ready to go and it took me just under 10minutes to get home. The food was warm but not hot. The sides were hotter than the whole chicken, but a tissi needs to be hot for full enjoyment. I assume eating in the restaurant would get you this experience. Leftovers are just okay. Sometimes leftovers hit and these did not. Fried potatoes somehow lost all of their flavor. And all of the accoutrements for them and the carrots were missing flavor. How does cheese lose flavor?! Anyway, the Dinner Platter will be plenty of food, but get the Super if you’re extra hungry or splitting with someone. Ok so the tissi hits, the sides are also great, but skip the takeout and go grab a seat because the vibes were IMMACUALTE. When I walked in there the staff was friendly, everyone had a full plate, a full glass, and were bathed in warm light and a joyous atmosphere. I’ll be back, but at a table!

Branch Line in Watertown was bustling with businesspeople on a recent Friday afternoon. Service was attentive, while a high ceiling and pendant lighting made the rustic dining room feel expansive. I ordered the quarter bird rotisserie chicken with honey dijon sauce. I thought the entrée would be served with roasted potatoes; alas, it came with truffle shoestring fries sprinkled liberally with parmesan and pungent truffle oil. I was not a fan of the flavor profile. While serving the chicken in a handled serving pan made for a lovely presentation, it simultaneously made cutting the meat awkward and messy. Many of the fries were submerged in the dish's sweet sauce. Although Branch Line may be a pleasant venue for a cocktail and light meal, I don't see myself making a return trip.

C
Caro

We ordered for takeout a family platter and chose French fries (3) as side dishes. The chicken piri-piri was delicious but unfortunately instead of French fries we got three orders of home fries, and they tasted like leftovers of brunch. Disappointing.
