My buddy Will and I go here every time before and after work at a haunted house. They cook steaming hot food and are always nice to me. I'm now a regular there. 💯 % recommended for everyone that likes hot food.🍳 🥓🥪

The cook, Ashley, renewed my love for Waffle House. I first fell in love with Waffle House 50 years ago when their Waffles were actually brown and crisp, their hashBROWNS were actually brown and crisp, and the toast was actually toasted (not just warm bread). I rarely eat at Waffle House anymore because none of the above is true anymore. Ashley is one of the very few who know how to do that. I think I love her.

Fast service, good food, reasonable price, atmosphere as expected, clean bathroom. Watch out their driveway does not go all the way around! We pulled in with a camper and had a time getting turned around.

We arrived about 9am on a Sunday morning... It was full..no tables available. I figured we'd be waiting 30 minutes or so to be seated... BOY I WAS WRONG!!!! A hostess came over and greeted us. Within probably 8 minutes we were at our table. The waitress was at our table within seconds. She brought our coffee.. She took our order and it wasn't even 10 minutes... We had our food. ---------------------------------- I ordered 6 eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. I'm a 64yr old woman who loves her eggs.. I can't just eat 2. I ordered them om because I love dipping my toast in the yolk. My eggs were cooked perfect. I don't like crispy hash browns and most people never cook them as I requested. These were cooked exactly as I asked. I don't like crispy bacon and this was again made as I wanted. "I was a waitress for 43yrs myself" So I'm probably somewhat picky but friendly and I tip well. I travel alot and stop at alot of Waffle Houses. I have to say This is the best I've been to in many many years. If you want good food at a affordable price Waxahachie Waffle House Is where you need to go

I came out in after a 450 MI drive... There were two ladies working one taking orders cleaning and the other cooking. The girl took my order was not talkative at all but did her job. The cook on the other hand did her job with smiles even though she was wearing a mask... But happy she was working happy where she was working showed in her work the presentation of the food the speed of the food and the Great taste of the food. I wish I had her name but the date is 12/16/2020 at around 8:30ish p.m. when I came in if the owners or managers are wondering who it was... you better hold on to that cook because there's not many that are able to keep a clean workstation change gloves after touching the meat beautiful presentation on food and did it all happily. I called IHOP. Was told there was no wait. I get there 10 minutes later, and I'm told there's a 30-minute wait bc Chrissy didn't show up, and they were not seating her section. "Chrissy's" section was completely empty. We went here instead. I don't recall the waitress' name, but she did an amazing job! I think this will be my new go-to breakfast joint.

We had great service. We had three little girls. two were my sister's granddaughter and the other one was our niece. Children were treated real good. Our food was great and staff was wonderful.

Very good. Always. Went with a friend out more country area to watch the meteor shower and this was a good finisher. I was impressed actually. Not because meh are any better than women but I've just never witnessed an all female waffle house... Cook and all... Only 3 of them... And they put it down like it was a cake walk. Went in for chocolate chip waffles with a friend. Had a cup of coffee and it she had the new pumpkin waffles which both were excellent. Happy service came with tasty food.

I am definitely a fan of Waffle House. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. The cook was also very friendly. We always get the All Star meal. It never disappoints. The portions are generous. However, the lobby and store often smells like the septic has backed up. I think this is definitely a turn off. I drank coffee in an attempt to mask the unpleasant smell. It didn't really help. The bathrooms are older and mostly clean. It's definitely time for a deep clean and new paint.

They do an amazing job of getting people in and out efficiently, even on a busy holiday weekend!! The food prep line runs smoothly and all is prepared as asked with a reasonable wait time. Service is prompt and friendly, even through a fill house and then some! Small tight space that is well organized to get in, have a great brunch, and get out!

I visited this waffle house on 9/3. I ordered the 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, 2 sausage, n grits. It tasted like I had cooked at home. I was AWESOME!!! The guy that did the cooking, was very sweet, n knew how to cook well. My soft scrambled eggs, WERE SOOO PERFECT, that I tipped him!!! People don't realize, that it's the way the cooks cook the food, that makes you want to come back for more. My waitress, was sweet, n AMAZING. This is one of the cleanest Waffle House establishments by far. The food is great! Eggs over easy, bacon is crispy, toast has just the right amount of butter and the hasbrowns are always the bomb!! Love it. Highly recommend this location. Staff is friendly and service is quick and done right!

Enjoyed a great meal at the waffle house. Can get breakfast at any time of the day. The service was good and it was crowded however it did not take long to get our meals. Saturday mornings at this Waffle House is a MUST for my family!!! My sons and I visited this location for this first time during my birthday weekend this year. I’ve been to many other locations. Jose, served us and he was patient, kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone there, whether they wanted to be there or not, was doing their part to have a well oiled machine running. The wait time was short and the food came out fast and hot. It was amazing as I sat vac and watched once I completed my meal. Myesha, shout out to you for running an operation the way it should be. This WH is the best of the best and a hidden gem in Waxahachie. The store is clean, food is always perfect with ample portions and I can tell it is ran with purpose by the manager MyEsha. I had a minor glitch with my order (this is just 1 time out of hundreds of perfect orders so no big deal!) and MyEsha personally reached out to me and made everything not only right - but BETTER than right!! All of the staff on duty were very polite and we'll mannered. That's a pleasant surprise for this type of restaurant. Good was good and from the conversation they were having with each other, one could tell that they all wanted to be there to work nite just draw a pay check. Thanks to all of you for what you do. It was busy but our young waitress with long nails was on top of her game as well as the cook. 😁 We had the Philly cheese. steak and patty melt plates.... the patty melt had bacon and was great. Let's just say... Waffle House is nostalgia for me as my dad went there a lot back in the day. I enjoyed it.

I'm just saying... I love Waffle House. I love the menu- simple. Eggs over medium, hash browns, bacon, and toast. I wasn't disappointed with my food... when I finally got it. At 6:45 AM there was one waitress waiting tables, a cook, and three other staff meandering around while our waitress bounced from wall to wall. Now, I don't know when the breakfast rush is but the restaurant was far from empty. I can see room for improvement in staffing.

A quick decent breakfast nothing more. Limited menu and seating. If you have a party more than four please go somewhere else! They cannot push tables together and booths are small. It's always well air conditioned so being a sweater if you don't like cold air blowing on you. There is always a wait during peak hours and you usually will be standing. Some of the servers are friendly and some are not.

You must try the waffles with pecans.

Typical Waffle House food and service. Waffles and hash browns are undercooked and soft. When I refused the soggy soft waffle, I told them I wanted it like the picture on the wall and the menu. It came back perfect; so they know how to do it right, they just don't care. Only took off one star because they did get it right in the end.

Breakfast and dinner. Breakfast consisted of sausage, eggs, hash brown, toast and waffle. Food was hot and cooked to order. Server was personable and attentive. Dinner wasn't what I expected. It was a limited selection. Hash browns came with all the entries. Had the chicken sandwich with bacon, hash browns on the side. I ordered a dinner salad. Sandwich was tasty and hot. Salad didn't look real appetizing. Service was okay. Not on the same level as on the AM shift. Server was per-occupied with her cell phone. Waffle House is a solid breakfast choice. Next time I want dinner, I'll go somewhere else.

This location absolutely never take phone orders to go. Not even during the week so if I want waffle house I have to plan to wait for my food. I understand them being busy on the weekends and not taking orders but I have went in the morning during the week and they are not busy. I think it's an inconvenience to their customers. However the food is always good and the customer service is stellar

I live 60 miles from this restaurant. I went to Waxahachie for another reason but waited to eat because we like Waffle House. This was our first trip to this Waffle House. They were training new people and the new waitress tried really hard and did really well with our order in spite of being very nervous. I ordered a peanut butter butter chip waffle with bacon and added one egg over medium. It was not over medium. I was not the only person at the table with that issue. My real complaint is this place was not clean. The table had been wiped out but it must have been with dirty water. It even smelled funny in there. I didn't want to touch the credit card machine. It was nasty. We have a news cast in Waco that lists how different restaurants fared with the food inspector that week. The segment is called the Clean Plate. They must not have food inspectors in Waxahachie.

The hashbrowns were great! However, there was an unbearable stench inside the restaurant.

I did not have a very good experience here. The wait staff didnt even know how to serve hot tea. You never open the tea bag prior to serving it, and how hard is it to get hot water from the coffee maker? It's the red tab that says "hot water." Not that hard.

Store did not seem to be understaffed. Just underperforming. Waitresses were not clearing tables. Line was out the door. Waited for an hour to sit as i watched 6 tables wait to be cleared during that time. They seemed more concerned about to go orders than taking care of dine in TIPPING customers. Waitress sally or sandy (not sure her specific name) never came back to offer a refill or anything extra. Let alone to clear the 4 dirty tables surrounding ours. When we went to pay so we could leave. EVERYONE behind the counter WALKED AWAY !! If it wasnt for the door corp man coming up to take my money i would have made a complaint line call. The food was good outside of the terrible service. I do not recommend this store if your looking for a quick bite to eat on the weekends.

This has to be the worst service I have ever had, food is always good but the waitstaff is horrible. Coffee and coke took 5 min to come to table, order has still not been called out to cook, I cleaned my own table, the waitress conversation has been ready to order? No hello, no how are yall doing, and when told thank you, you get mmhmmm. Well, I wonder if the tip will say mmmhmmm also.

Stopped to get something to eat on the road to Dallas. I thought most Waffle Houses were pretty much the same. Not here. The waitress seemed like she did not want to be there, she was not very friendly. I ordered a waffle with a side of bacon. The waffle was overcooked and the bacon undercooked. The bacon was greasy and mostly just fat. The coffee had a lot of grounds in the bottom of the cup. My advice, drive all the way to Dallas and skip this place. It will be worth traveling the extra miles

I've never been disappointed in a Waffle House until my visit tonight. From the moment we sat down I could tell our server had no interest in providing good service. She didn't greet us or say a word as she was laying our silverware down. When we received our order, the waffle came out completely undercooked and doughy. It took about 6 minutes to even get someone's attention to tell them, and they told us they would remake it. Almost 10 full minutes later they bring us another waffle and hand it to us without saying a word, and it came out almost the same way!! I also ordered 2 extra eggs and the portion was so small, it looked like they basically took my $3.50 and gave me a regular portion. Our server never actually came back to our table to check how we were, or if we needed anything. No one ever apologized or asked if everything was better. The staff should consider being more tentative to their customers, especially since the prices have gone up. I'll be hesitant to go back to this location late at night with this staff.

Went to go get food. The lady at the register said no take out. They only have 3 people working . So then she went back to wiping down the counters and didn't even try to see if we wanted to order there to eat. Rude and dismissive. We decided to go to Desoto. In which they also had 3 employees and we got our food to go. If you only have 3 employees why would you just do eating there? You still have to clean tables and bathrooms as well. Just only do take out. To prevent cleaning the whole restaurant. The wise guy that came up with that idea was definitely not thinking.

I recently visited Waffle House, and while the food was good and the rest of the staff seemed fine, my experience was completely ruined by an employee named Mercedes. She was absolutely horrible—rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. She acted like she couldn’t care less about providing good service, which made the visit unnecessarily frustrating. To make matters worse, a side of eggs I ordered was left out, and my peanut butter waffles weren’t made correctly. I didn’t realize until I got home, and the gas money it would’ve taken to go back wasn’t even worth it. The rest of the staff seemed to be doing their jobs well, but Mercedes single-handedly made this a terrible experience. I hope management addresses her behavior because the good food and decent atmosphere are being overshadowed by one bad apple.

The food at this particular location, in Waxahachie, is really good. So this rating is ONLY one star due to changing the sausage patties. The sausage in our orders today was not right. Actually, not eaten. Please change back to the sausages previously provided. Again, this post is only in regard to the sausage. Otherwise, the rating is five stars.

I was very disappointed in everything my brother in law got his waffle burnt the first time he asked for a new one and then they never brought it to him my sister and her husband got their drinks after they finished their meal I ordered scramble eggs and got eggs with shells my sister waffle was burnt my wife's sausage patties were still frozen and the waitress threw the utensils on the table and then we were still made to pay for the meals even though we did not eat them

Long haul driver. I usually finish my shift late at night. One of the few places open is waffle house. Now I've hit up many of these places never had an issue until tonight. I get off work park my truck. Only 2 tables being used. Place is practically empty. Was told I can't park my truck and trailer in their parking lot. Fine by me. I'll go somewhere else. Lady lost out on 20.00 tip which I always give. Won't be coming back to this place.

I would recommend going to a different location. Twice this one has been horrible. Ordered food, they bring out my daughter's food and then say they don't have gravy for my biscuits and gravy. I ask how long it will take, we don't have any. Then 5 minutes later, it will take 10 minutes to make some? Uhm, their food is almost gone. The coke tasted like soap or some kind of chemical.
