Sadelle’s never disappoints. We ordered the fish tower with white fish, lox, and smoked fish—everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The tuna salad was a standout; the dressing was so flavorful and perfectly balanced. And the French toast… absolutely mouthwatering. Soft, rich, and indulgent, with presentation that makes you want to take photos before taking a bite. From the food to the presentation, everything was on point. Highly recommend.
Sadelle’s is my go-to brunch spot. The bagels are fresh and perfect every single time — which matters, especially when you’re ordering breakfast and salmon can lowkey be risky. Their quality is actually insane, and everyone I go with always says the same thing. The smoked salmon that comes with the house tower is my always order. So good. The mimosas are amazing too, and their other drinks never disappoint. I’ll be honest though — the tomato soup was not my vibe at all, and the coffee didn’t do it for me either. But the bagels alone make it worth going. The French toast is good but kinda overhyped in my opinion. It’s good, just not wow I’m losing my mind good. The pancakes though?? Soft, fluffy, sooo good. Overall, Sadelle’s is still a great brunch spot. Always good vibes when I walk in.
Look me and my friend are New Yorkers . Is this place expensive yes. But it's yummy. The food is good if you're willing to spend the bread. It's cramped tho tbh like the chick in the booth next to you is practically sittin on ya lap. Eggs caviar yes. and the salmon is sliced so thin skinnnnnnntttyyy , and also if you're gonna get that chamomile drink thinking it's tea it's NOT. It's more like a ~mocktail~ which tastes like additives n sweetener (if u like that then no judgement) server gave us some French toast as a treat, so friendly !! Shared it with the chick that was basically on my lap next to me. Bonded.
Amazing place for breakfast-brunch!! Full of vibes and nice people (not so many tourists). Maria and Carlos, went above and beyond for me and my family. By faaaarr the best French toast I’ve ever had Must see in the area.
Delicious! My girlfriend and I shared the chicken sandwich and the French toast, and both dishes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The French toast had a great crunch on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside so good. The mimosas were really good and perfectly portioned. Service was excellent; our server was attentive and very friendly. The ambiance is nice, though the place is usually packed, so seating is close together and it can get a bit noisy. Overall, it’s a great spot for brunch and definitely worth checking out.
So happy we finally made it to Sadelle’s- it’s been sitting at the top of my must-try list forever, and it completely lived up to my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the space had that charming, old-school café feel: cozy, bustling, and full of that classic New York energy without feeling chaotic. We started with the classic lox, and wow- absolutely incredible. I loved how thinly it was sliced; you could taste the silky texture and fresh flavor in every bite. Paired with their iconic bagels (perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside), it’s exactly what you want a New York bagel experience to be. The cream cheese was amazing too! The French toast deserves its own paragraph because it was that good- easily the best I’ve ever had. Thick, golden, and somehow rich without being heavy. Every bite tasted like pure breakfast magic. The breakfast potatoes were another pleasant surprise: crispy edges, soft centers, and seasoned just right. Service was great from start to finish. Our server was friendly, helpful with recommendations, and checked in just enough without hovering. It made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, Sadelle’s absolutely delivered. I can’t wait to go back and try even more of the menu. Just a heads-up: definitely make a reservation- this place gets busy, and now I fully understand why. Loved everything about it.
Sadelle’s is known for its bagels, but I’m much more of a sweet-breakfast girl. My friend and I went for the pancakes, French toast, and a grilled cheese. The pancakes were the standout for me - warm, fluffy, and genuinely perfect. One of the best pancakes I’ve had during my NYC trip. The grilled cheese was… fine. Not terrible, not amazing, just okay. You can definitely skip it. The French toast, which my friend had and is supposed to be a popular item, was also just alright. She mentioned the centre was a bit soggy/eggy, which is a no from me, but she still thought it was decent. I didn’t try it myself, so take that with a pinch of salt. Overall, I’d give Sadelle’s a solid 8/10. I’d happily go back. We also had a reservation, which helped because the crowd was no joke — I imagine walk-ins could be in for a wait.
Sadelle’s is always a reliable, feel-good New York classic. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh bagels and warm challah hits you, and the retro-chic dining room sets the mood. Their smoked salmon tower is the star—fresh, generous, beautifully arranged—and the bagels are perfectly chewy with that signature gloss. Service can get a little busy during peak hours, but the staff stays friendly and upbeat. A bit on the pricier side, but worth it for a true NYC brunch experience in a lively, iconic setting.
My husband and our friend came here for Brunch and boy did it exceed our expectations, it was amazinggg. The atmosphere was so pretty, I couldn’t help but take a pic while waiting to be seated, which didn’t take long. The service was awesome, and the food was SOOOO damn good. We left very happy and couldn’t stop talking about it the whole rest of the day. Highly recommend 10/10.
A iconic NYC staple! The service, food & atmosphere is amazing! We loved the whole experience and can’t wait to go back! We got the Eggs Benedict & the French toast! The French toast is now in my Top 3 “best I’ve ever had” The only thing getting used to was people’s dogs under the tables haha - that was not my favorite especially inside where you’re eating etc!
We visited Sadelle’s in New York and overall I have mixed feelings. On the plus side, I had the French Toast and absolutely loved it — a must for anyone who loves eggs and sweet brunch treats. The flavor really stands out. And the House Salmon is one of their signature dishes for a reason; it’s classic, elegant, and definitely belongs on the table. On the downside, their coffee needs improvement. It really didn’t match up to the rest of the meal.
Best smoked fish we ever had with bagel. We ordered Smoked Scottish and House Salmon. Both came as different plates with the side of tomatoes, cucumbers, dill, capers and red onion. The best combination! There are 4 type of bagels in selection. We went with everything and garlic. Garlic one was a bit burnt so giving it a little bitter. We really love their Smoked Scottish. The smokey smell from the fish made the hit with the scallion cream cheese. Please order this fish with your favorite bagel. You will thank me. We went there on weekday and the room is almost filled so highly recommend to reserve the seat if you came on weekends/holidays.
have been here and the foods was really amazing , it was the perfect combination of fresh and creamy and crisp on the top of the bagel. i highly recommended.

We made an reservation 5 days ago. It wasn’t super busy but because it was weekday. We had omelette, blueberry pancekes and eggs with bagel. The cream cheese was AMAZING. We had their everything bagels and it was crispy and fresh. We definitely recommend. Bloody mary was good but not a must.
The bagels and salmon are definitely on point here and a must-try. I made a reservation several weeks in advance to come here for breakfast at 9:00AM on a Sunday. I was surprised how busy it was so early in the day! The environment is very bustling and it tends to get loud. My friend and I split the House Salmon and just added on one bagel to the order so we can each have one. It was the perfect amount of food for breakfast! I loved that the salmon wasn't overly salty and it was super buttery and fresh. It tasted great with an everything bagel, the chive cream cheese, and cucumbers and tomatoes - YUM! The only this that was slightly disappointing to me was that for a place that is known for breakfast/brunch, they had no good coffee options. I ordered a cold brew and for $8, I would have expected much more. Moral of the story: if you need your coffee, have it before coming in and enjoy some fresh salmon and bagels!
I recently had brunch at Sadelle's and overall, it was a delightful experience! Food: The food was fantastic! I ordered the bagel with smoked salmon, and it was fresh and flavorful. The pastries were also a highlight—perfectly flaky and delicious. Service: The service was friendly but a bit slow at times, especially during the busy brunch rush. However, the staff was attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was charming and lively, with a vibrant decor that made for a pleasant dining experience. It definitely felt like a special spot for brunch. I enjoyed my time at Sadelle's and would recommend it for anyone looking for a great brunch spot in NYC!
The atmosphere of this place was truly lovely and did not disappoint ✨ While the menu isn’t extensive and focuses mainly on brunch items, everything felt thoughtfully curated. The overall vibe was warm, relaxed, and very inviting, making it a great spot to slow down and enjoy the moment. The service was attentive and friendly, which added a lot to the experience. Their bagels were particularly enjoyable — simple yet well done 🥯 Definitely remember to make a reservation in advance, as it’s a popular spot for good reason ☕️
We visited Sadelle’s in New York and had a mixed experience. I ordered the eggs any style with scrambled eggs, which was great. The eggs were perfecy done, the potatoes were so crispy and tasty and the bagel and cream cheese were also great. My friend got the avocado with poached eggs, but they were overcooked. The waiter didn’t ask how she wanted the eggs, and we assumed they would come poached easy as that’s how it works at most olaces. We also tried the mimosa, which wasn’t very good and was served in a wine glass instead of a Champagne flute, which made the presentation feel off. The highlight of the meal was definitely the French toast!! It was delicious and crispy. We were a bit disappointed that the espresso machine was down, so brewed coffee was the only option.
Sadelle's came highly recommended by friends and it didn't disappoint. The interior decor is very chic and the outdoor patio is well positioned to maintain the ambiance found within the restaurant. The bagel tower was very tasty and the potatoes were delicious. Jordan was an incredible server. He was very attentive and had great recommendations.

Mixed Experience — Not Sure Why It’s So Popular The food is good — not great, but good. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired for several reasons: 1. Kitchen timing is poorly coordinated. They ask you to order all dishes at once but don’t ensure that the starter arrives before the main. I ended up eating my main dish first. When I asked about it, the waiter said he had no control over kitchen timing. 2. Restroom situation is inconvenient. There was a line of six people waiting to use the restroom (unisex). Two restrooms simply aren’t enough for a restaurant of this size. 3. Waitstaff is overstretched. It took me three requests to different waiters just to get more coffee. 4. Inconsistent service attitude. Some hostesses and waiters were polite and genuinely interested in making the experience pleasant, but others seemed indifferent. Overall, the food quality doesn’t quite make up for the service issues.

We came here by recommendation from some friends for a special occasion. The host ignored us when we walked in and let two other parties behind us put their names down first, even when I plainly said that we were here first. They said the wait time would be one hour, but it ended up being two hours. The food was great. We got the Sadelle's Tower and some drinks. The server was seen only when she took our order and brought the check. There was no check-up, and we couldn't order anything else. The table by the door was so cold that we had to put on our coats just to eat. It was the worst decision to come here.
I had an eggs Benedict with ham for $28. It was not worth the price. It was so tiny I was still hungry and I’m a petite woman. The eggs were Luke warm and medium well almost hard boiled. The mimosa was delicious. Won’t be going back here. Then the tables were so close together. Towards the end of our meal a large group was sat right behind me and a man kept his chair so far out that every single person including the wait staff kept bumping into the back of my head. The wait staff should have asked him to push his chair in or they should not have sat them there. They just kept apologizing for bumping me constantly.
TLDR: not great. An underwhelming experience for a few reasons. Although the atmosphere and the aesthetic of the restaurant set the standards high, the rest of my experience wasn't great. This was the place I picked to treat myself during a business trip, and it did not deliver as expected. Although they tried to make it right by giving me a discount and offering an extra cocktail, this was the only chance to have a good experience, and discounts can't fix that. I did tip anyway, but the staff did not offer any apologies. It felt a bit like the staff is used to dealing with so many customers that saying they're sorry is not worth the effort. Mishaps can happen I just wish didn't happen during the only lunch I had planned 😕 I paid 30 dollars for a tiny bagel presented nicely. You can save money by going to any bagel shop, and you don't have to assemble the lox bagel yourself. My side dish had a fly in it, unfortunately. No formal apologies were offered, just a "do you want another one?" My mushrooms and barley soup had no barley in it. Cocktails are not worth it the price.
