Wow, there was a decent crowd and an opulent setting. The views were phenomenal, and the dishes were crafted with excellence. I enjoyed people watching and listening to the music. Such a great experience in a nice Sunday afternoon.
I see everyone talking about the breathtaking views, but the FOOD is what I will remember most from my first visit… so delish! Will be back!
Wow just wow!? Such a beautiful, hip , young and fun place to hangout. I celebrated my 2 year anniversary here with my significant other and everything and everyone was spectacular. I am disabled and use a wheelchair and the rooftop was very spacious and accommodating when it came to transferring from my wheelchair to a regular seat. I was able to easily store my wheelchair off to the side and out of the way. When it came to the food everything was delicious hot and fresh. Ambiance really sets the tone for the type of evening you plan to have, whether it be for an intimate date night or a fun time with friends . I will be honest the loud music playing and the overall feel is definitely for the young and hip. If your part of the older crowd I wouldn't recommend this be a place for yourself or family due to the context of music that can be played. For parking they offer valet however we parked across the street in the paylot to utilize handicap parking especially since we were there for several hours enjoying other facilities in the hotel prior to Harriet's Rooftop.
Quoting my friend “I thought this place would be douchey but it’s hot”. We went for drinks and after waiting a couple of minutes for the elevator, the bar area was cool and the views were great. It was a bit pricey, just keep in mind you’re paying for the experience and the DJ was playing great music.
Wonderful experience from the reservation to the table. The food was high quality and flavorful. The atmosphere was amazing. Great vibes, amazing service and spectacular views of Beverly Hills.
Beautiful rooftop bar we were told that we had to check out and we are in love! The views here are amazing! The music is great! Service is great! We sat at the bar and had a few drinks. Will definitely add this to our list of places to come back to when we’re in. We didn’t eat any food.
Harriet's Rooftop in West Hollywood is a must-visit for anyone looking for a sophisticated and stylish rooftop bar with an outstanding cocktail program. From the moment you step off the elevator and enter the stunning, Instagram-worthy space, you know you're in for a treat. The cocktail program at Harriet's is truly exceptional. The skilled bartenders craft creative and delicious drinks that are as beautiful as they are flavorful. From classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned to inventive creations like the Spicy Margarita, every drink is crafted with care and attention to detail. The bar itself is a work of art, with a stunning marble counter and an impressive collection of spirits on display. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly, and happy to provide recommendations based on your taste preferences. One of the highlights of Harriet's rooftop is the stunning view of the Los Angeles skyline. The bar is located on the roof of the 1 Hotel, and the views are simply breathtaking. Sipping a delicious cocktail while taking in the sights of the city is an experience you won't soon forget. Overall, Harriet's Rooftop is a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional cocktail experience in West Hollywood. The creative and delicious drinks, stunning bar, and unbeatable views make for an unforgettable evening out. Highly recommended!
Nice rooftop bar with great view, great drinks, and friendly service. It started off kind of odd bc the girl at the elevator looked at us up and down when we asked to go upto the bar (awkward....) It was around 6pm and place was fairly empty. Place is well decorated and view is amazing! Our server was very polite and attentive, unlike the girl downstairs. Drinks were really good, made with fresh ingredients and priced comparatively to other cocktail bars. If you are visiting or have friends visiting you, this feels like a great place to hang out.
Was a great spot to enjoy a few drinks and get some work done at the bar. The staff are super nice and I truly enjoyed the conversations I had with Mayra. Thank you, queen!
Absolutely beautiful view a little pricy but great experience. Two Martin's and one dessert $61
One of my favorite romantic spots in LA! Right in the heart of WeHo overlooking one of the most beautiful city views! The vibe is adorable and trendy yet very classy and romantic. The menu is small but the flavor of the food is mouthwatering. Try their chicken skewers and tacos… i prefer to share platters at this rooftop to taste their variety. I The staff is very nice and make sure u are enjoying ur time. The price for a classy place like this is very doable. It makes it easy to park since they have valet (valet can get a little expensive depending on how many hours u spend there).
The views here are amazing, for get a table the minimun is 1k usd per table but there is an option to be in the bar area which is really cool
Harriet's Rooftop is all about those unbeatable views and chic atmosphere. Perfect for your LA skyline photoshoot! 🌇✨
Salmon great, views beautiful, (brunch) vibes unmatched! Will always visit when in town.
Nice rooftop view
Such a cute location with stunning views! We had a bunch of dishes to share and they were all so good. My personal favourites were the mac and cheese and the chicken bolognese. The staff were all friendly and checked in regularly to make sure we were enjoying our experience. Would love to return here on our next visit to LA! 10/10
Sushi/Rolls were on point. Experience was maximized by Melissa's amazing smile and service. "Attitude goes a long way", and Melissa brought a welcoming vibe with great cocktail recommendations.
We came during the winter season and it blew our expectations away. The ambience was beautiful with candle lit tables and a gorgeous view of the city, and the food was delicious and so easy to eat while chatting. But the best part had to be the service- Samantha is beyond welcoming, accommodating, and vibrant. She made our dinner so memorable, with incredible recommendations from what to do during our stay to menu items that were spot on. If you visit Harriet’s, you need to get a table with Samantha! We’ll definitely be returning soon.
The servers are so nice. The place is AMAZING and so is the view, truly recommend
We had a wonderful experience at Harriet’s Rooftop celebrating a friend’s birthday. The staff was incredibly accommodating for our large group, and the views are outstanding. We spent the evening at the bar, which filled up quickly, but it added to the lively atmosphere. The drinks were excellent and reasonably priced for the area. A special thank you to our waitress, Nai, who took such great care of us and stayed on top of everything all night. We’ll definitely be back!
Harriet’s Rooftop on Sunset Blvd is a stunning spot with amazing views, a stylish vibe, and super cool staff who really elevate the experience. The drinks are well-crafted but definitely on the pricey side, a margarita runs about $32, which is pretty stiff. That said, the atmosphere is worth it for a splurge. Great place for a date night or to impress out-of-towners. Four stars for the service and setting, minus one for the steep prices.
A solid rooftop restaurant in West Hollywood with excellent drinks and a beautiful view. I ordered their tater tots, chicken Caesar salad and the mini lobster rolls. The tater tots were really good and the Caesar salad was about average, the mini lobster rolls were also descent, kind of too small for me to enjoy it because I’m used to full on lobster rolls. I came on a Thursday night on Halloween and as for a restaurant it was popular but as a club, it was ok. The bottom restaurant was actually more popular for the night club scene that night. I’d like to revisit on a weekend to see what it’s really like. I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. This is within a hotel so parking is usually street or valet.
Came here with wife on New Years Day for Brunch. Music was great atmosphere was outstanding. Burger I order was not that favorable. The Mediterranean chicken was nice and delicious. The views are amazing, drinks are on point ordered a whiskey on ice Knob Creek.
Good drinks service ok good ok atmosphere great
This place was adorable! Great views, but it was a literal sauna during the day. The high rooftop altitude, window walls (floor to ceiling all around) and beaming LA sun, made for a sweaty 90 degree brunch. I'd recommend this place for a first round of evening cocktails before heading to the next spot.
Very trendy, popular restaurant. Great location too. The ambiance was great, extremely loud - in a good way though. Everyone there was with a large group, so lots of loud talking, laughing, and music. Lovely environment. If you’re thinking about visiting for a romantic dinner, definitely not a romantic spot. At least not on a Saturday. Maybe during the week. Food was extremely limited. Meat is served with no side options. I loved that there were vegan-friendly options too. My fiancé ordered beef, and he said it was “tough.” He didn’t finish his dinner, and he only ate two pieces of his meat. He enjoyed his drinks though. The meat needed to be cooked more… Softened up more for chewing. That’s the issue we have with a lot of restaurants in LA… Food not cooking long enough. A side option with your meal would be nice too. Bread, salad, soup, something. I would definitely recommend trying Harriet’s. As for me, I would eat there again once more just for the vibes and atmosphere, then move on to another restaurant. Simply because the food options are limited and small portions. Did I mention how lovely the view? The view and location are a plus as well. Close to everything.
Great service & DJ was killing it !! 💃🏾 I believe I just missed a big party , so the vibe was low key , not too crowded/loud…I prefer it that way. Nice view!! I wish they had one more option for the salads or offered proteins to add to them. Tater tots were ok, chicken kabobs were pretty good. I had a drink called “rent free” it was super sour. I enjoyed a seat on the couch. I’d revisit when in the area.
We were there to celebrate new years eve. Well for me it was unpleasant, because the alcohol taste was terrible, tried few drinks cocktails and it was like your drinking pure spirit, bleh… view of the windows, yeah amazing. No smoking zone, altho it’s a rooftop. Was open bar but when i tried to ask for a drink left 30mins till open bar, I was denied… sad.
Strengths: views, vibes, service, drinks Weaknesses: food, value for money
Really overpriced and overhyped. The view is nice but not worth the awful service. We waited over 30 minutes to pay only to find out that this restaurant has no system of splitting bills across more than 4 credit cards. Strange. One person in my group found a piece of plastic in her food. Another person’s order was forgotten. Disaster night. Definitely avoid this place if you’re touring LA for only a few days as going here would be a complete waste of your time. I had charcuterie and salmon. Food was decent, not bad but not great. Salmon was hidden under a field of nuts.
If you're looking for a stellar view, Harriet's rooftop is certainly the place to be. If you're looking for quality service, not so much. Everything I found seemed to recommend a reservation, which I made online. The process was easy, but there was a warning about a minimum purchase with no further details. This is where my issues started. It wasn't until the day of that I was informed there was a $100 minimum *per person* (due to it being a Sunday). Furthermore after 90 minutes of being there, we were told there is a cap on how long we can stay, prior to even being able to order food. Meanwhile, other patrons who had arrived before us had not been told to wrap up their evening. I feel like knowing all these details up front would have made the experience infinitely better. That being said, the drinks were pretty standard and the server was attentive, so not a total wash when the view was taken into account.
Yeah it's a one and done. Typical LA spot. Drinks madd overpriced, food was meh ($26 for 3 small chicken sliders is ridiculous), and they take the chairs out at 630pm from the bar from *select* people, no explanation which is wildly ratchet. Y'all not lit like that to have the chairs out it's not that serious. And even if so, your staff could do a much more communicative and professional way of telling people that. I'm glad to be able to say I went, you got my lil $100 for 2 drinks and an appetizer, and I'll never be back and will absolutely trash y'all to anyone that asks. And owner, keep your follow up comment. I'm not interested. Y'all have a good one.
Huge disappointment. I’d been wanting to check this place out for a while, but beyond the view, there’s not much to recommend. The sushi tasted a little off, the salads were barely dressed, and the decor felt more “office lunchroom” than “night out.” On top of that, the prices were high enough to make me wish the food matched the scenery.
I arrived at opening time on Sunday for a solo drink/bite, with a view. There was no one there but I was sat at a horrendous seat as the good seats were for “bottle service” I wanted a few drinks and food. I ordered one beer and an appetiser and main. Not sure why - but my appetizer and main came at the same time - not a major issue, but bizarre. It filled up a lot in the 45 mins or so I was there but no one was still allowed at these magical “bottle service” tables. I swiftly ate, drank up and left.
Harriet's had been on my list of places to head to in LA for a while, and it had been reviewed as a "restaurant", but LORD I was SO embarrassed when I met up with a friend there. First off, this is not a place anyone over the age of 30 really needs to be seen in. I had a reservation at 5:30pm on a Sunday, because I'm middle-aged and like to be in bed by 9pm. When we got there, they hit us with a security wand and my purse was inspected, which should have been my sign to get the hell out of there, as I've never in life gone to a "restaurant" in LA and felt like I was going through TSA? Also, it's a pretty bad look for a somewhat pricey hotel to be doing security checks like that when most of the people at Harriet's were people of color, including me. To my absolute shock, when we took the elevator, it was a full on CLUB with pounding music and young people who were half-dressed like it was summertime in NYC (it was raining that night, aren't people cold?) The music they were playing was good, probably retro to all the young people there, but I was actually alive and in my 20's when every one of these songs was on something called "the radio." They sat us under a speaker so we couldn't talk at all during dinner. The views were stunning, it's probably great when the roof is open, but otherwise the space was meh. The tater tots were super, but the teriyaki bowl tasted like airplane food. When I got the bill, I felt like I had been robbed. The hotel itself is really beautiful, I'd maybe come back to hang out and spend an afternoon reading at the Juniper Lounge. Otherwise, stay your aged butt at home.
Started off in the fantastic lobby bar at 1hotel, to move forward for dinner and drinks (party of 8 people). First of all the the music is very loud, even for a Friday at 8 pm, so it's hard to hear anything more than your own thoughts. Drinks comes out carried in hand, and sometimes held by the rim. Not okey. Service level is not the same as downstairs, there's basically no service at all. You have to ask and wave for help to clean the table, fill up water and order drinks. This create conflict when food comes in. There are a lot of people working here, but this night they were more busy with their phones than taking care of the restaurant. I ordered the H Burger. It came in cold and pieces of charcoal from the grill. Very burned surface. I usually don't send out food but this was not okey, but they took it off the bill. Truffle chips are good. They are actually fantastic. Not even payment went smooth. We sent out the check with payment and we got it all back. Nothing charged. 3 people involved in the check. I'm not coming back, and the party of 8 said the same.
Popes drink selection. Watered down. Empty tables around but have to wave several staff for anyone to care. Not worth it for $20 cocktails. Views are ok. DTLA rooftop spots are better.
I had planned to dine solo at Harriet’s on the final day of my LA trip. I arrived at 5 PM, right when they typically open, planning to enjoy an early dinner after shopping. When I asked the hostess if I needed a reservation, she replied by asking when I wanted to eat. I told her I was hoping to be seated immediately, assuming that wouldn’t be an issue since I was alone and the restaurant had just opened. She said I could dine, but then told me I couldn’t bring in my shopping bag—a sealed, standard retail bag. She asked me to leave it somewhere outside the restaurant. Take note: I was traveling alone, staying 30 minutes away, and had taken an Uber to get there—so there was literally nowhere for me to leave my bag. I found this rule strange and unwelcoming, especially since there's no mention of it online. Because of that, I chose not to dine there. It felt like an unnecessary and off-putting policy. In the end, it was a wasted Uber ride. I really should’ve checked the Google reviews beforehand—turns out, a lot of them echo similar concerns.
Should’ve listened to the bad reviews. The hostess was just rude, it felt like we were not invited to the party and she very kindly allowed us to have a seat (at an unreserved table) whilst we had our £21 cocktails. Views are pretty meh. The place looks nice but the atmosphere is pretty horrendous. Also no food, apparently they had a big event to prepare for and they closed the kitchen really early. Would not recommend at all.
i don’t recommend going there. The lady at the front desk was visibly judging us and was rude. We were a party of 6, waited for 45 minutes without any service at all, no greetings, nothing. Multiple waiters were on the floor and no one came to see us during those 45 minutes. They never even looked our way. Can’t judge the food or anything since we decided to leave instead of giving them our money for the poor service we got ( or lack of service actually). I definitively would not go there unless you’re royalty, and even then, they might not serve you. If i could give 0 star i would.
I’m not surprised by the mediocre rating this place has. After reading some of the lower reviews, my experience lined up almost exactly. The prices are outrageous for what you get — overpriced food and drinks, tiny portions, and food that just was not that good. We actually left still hungry. The service overall felt disorganized and below what you’d expect for a place at this price point. On top of that, trying to contact the restaurant beforehand was frustrating. There’s no direct phone line, so good luck getting any questions answered. Between the cost, the lack of value, mediocre service, and the poor communication, I wouldn’t return or recommend it. Definitely a disappointing experience.
I’ve been coming to Harriet’s Rooftop for quite some time because the location is truly beautiful, and the staff at the entrance and in service are always polite and professional. But the bar staff, especially the male bartenders, are absolutely unbearable. They are rude, arrogant, and treat guests with no respect. You honestly feel like you’re being treated like garbage, and it’s not just me, I’ve seen the same thing happen to other guests as well. On top of that, drinks are often overcharged, and instead of showing any understanding or fixing the issue, they aggressively push you to pay immediately. This kind of behavior completely ruins the experience of such a nice rooftop. The bar staff urgently needs to be replaced, because they do not fit with the otherwise great atmosphere!!!
Door guy/host kicked us out at 11 pm in the middle of our drink and said we needed to leave/they were closed. I just barely looked on a google and it says they close at 12 am (confirmed by the business a week ago). It was also my bday dinner :)
Terrible manager, fortunately, I didn’t remember her name. I only recall that she was a rude, unprofessional, and unfriendly woman with white hair, who brought us nothing but negative emotions throughout our entire time at the restaurant. We had reserved two tables, but at some point, they tried to convince us that one of our reservations had been canceled because we were late, even though we arrived only 10 minutes past the time. Our celebration was ruined because we had to leave due to the awful atmosphere that developed around us. The waiters were wonderful, thank you! The food was delicious, but the menu was quite limited.
Terrible Service – Ruined Our Evening! I visited this restaurant expecting a great evening and was ready to spend a good amount, but Kateryna, the hostess, made sure that didn’t happen. Absolutely rude and unprofessional behavior – instead of a warm welcome, I was met with a cold, arrogant attitude and complete unwillingness to help. When I asked for a table, she responded rudely and showed zero professionalism. In the end, our mood was ruined, and we decided to leave for another restaurant where we were treated with respect. This place lost at least $1,000 in revenue, plus generous tips for the waitstaff, who could have benefited from proper customer service. Management should seriously reconsider who they hire to greet guests because, with such an approach, they’ll soon have fewer and fewer customers. Not recommended!
I had an extremely disappointing and hurtful experience at Harriet’s Rooftop in West Hollywood. As a dark-skinned Black woman, I was denied entry while others—lighter-skinned or non-Black—were allowed in without issue. It was clear that the establishment is selective based on skin tone and appearance, not behavior, dress code, or reservation status. I’ve since learned that others have had similar experiences, and there’s even public conversation about a man named Robi Davidson, reportedly associated with this venue, who has been linked to several court cases in LA for discriminatory practices. It’s unacceptable that a business in such a diverse city would uphold colorist and racist standards in 2025. Harriet’s should be called out for their blatant bias and exclusion of beautiful dark-skinned women. We deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and celebrated—not judged or discarded at the door. Until this place addresses their gatekeeping practices and treats all guests equally, I cannot recommend anyone support this rooftop. Do better.
If I could give zero stars, I would. My friends and I came to Harriet’s Rooftop to celebrate a birthday, expecting a great night—but instead, we got some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. First, they took forever to bring out our food, which completely threw off the timing of our dinner. Then, despite their delay, they still enforced a strict two-hour limit and kicked us out before we could even finish eating. We had to rush through a $1,000+ meal in five minutes, and half of the food ended up being wasted. When we tried to explain the situation, the staff was completely dismissive and rude. This place is clearly more focused on turning tables than providing a good experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a place that actually values its customers, go elsewhere.
What terrible hosts, We had a Valentine’s reservation booked and were TWO minutes past our grace period. we waited in the one hotel valet over TEN MINUTES and they did not want to accommodate us whatsoever. The hosts were extremely RUDE with attitude and did not create a welcoming environment what so ever. I would truly never go back here just because of the first impression. I’m reading more reviews and I’m honestly disgusted. Never come here!!!!!!!
We had a reservation and showed up about 10 minutes late because we got lost. The hostess told us we “lost our spot” because we were late. Then she said, “Wait, I’ll get you in, I promise I won’t make you wait long.” After about 30 minutes of waiting, she came back and told us the kitchen was closed and we had to leave. If the kitchen was closing, she should have said that immediately instead of keeping us there. A little understanding over a 10 minute delay would have gone a long way. Really disappointing customer service, especially because the view is beautiful. We paid a lot for an Uber and a babysitter to be there, and it ended up ruining our anniversary.
I’ve gone back and forth about writing this review, but after what happened this Friday night, I feel compelled to speak up. I’ve been to Harriet’s in West Hollywood several times over the years. I always come alone, I’m respectful, well-dressed, and I never stay long — usually 30 minutes to an hour max. I stop by for a drink and leave. I have never caused trouble, never been intoxicated, and never had a negative interaction with staff until now. This past Friday, I went in for a drink as usual and was stopped by the doorman, who told me there was suddenly a charge to get in. No explanation, no context. Meanwhile, I watched multiple lighter-skinned women being let in without issue. When I asked for clarity, I was simply told I had to pay or I wouldn’t be allowed inside. What makes this situation even more troubling is what happened after. I made a TikTok sharing my experience, and the same doorman commented publicly, claiming that two other security guards told him not to let me in because I had “caused trouble at a different event before.” This accusation makes absolutely no sense. I have never caused trouble at Harriet’s or anywhere else, and no one has ever mentioned an issue to me before. So which is it? • If I had paid, would I have been allowed in? • Or was I never going to be let in regardless, as he later claimed? The story changed, and that inconsistency is a major problem. As a Black woman who is a professional, well-established in Los Angeles, and someone who regularly attends upscale events, this experience felt deeply disrespectful and, frankly, discriminatory. It echoed long-standing complaints I’ve heard from others about how people who look like me are treated here — complaints I didn’t fully believe until it happened to me firsthand. To be fair, Harriet’s does have positives: the ambiance is beautiful, the views are great, and when things go smoothly, it can be an enjoyable place for a quick drink. But none of that excuses how guests are treated at the door. Loyal or returning patrons deserve transparency, respect, and consistency — not vague accusations, shifting explanations, or treatment that feels rooted in colorism. If there was a legitimate issue, it should have been communicated clearly and professionally. That did not happen. This experience made it clear why so many people quietly stop coming here. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses how security staff interact with guests, because no one should be made to feel unwelcome, singled out, or disrespected simply for existing.
