If you like bad ass rock n roll bars. This is the place to go to, especially if you love Motörhead. Food is pretty damn good too even though my picture of the burger doesn't do it justice. Its definitely something I would go back for

What a place!! Deserves six stars! We were visiting Hollywood and found the Rainbow. Being huge rock fans, this was right up our street!! All the old skool bands were known to hang out here. What got me is GnR filmed a scene for November Rain at a booth in the Rainbow and seeing it wow, nostalgia set in. Food was great, had a pizza, delicious. Good choice of drinks. Waitresses efficient and friendly. After the 1st time there, we ended up going there every night for the rest of our vacation. My fave bar ever! Totally recommend!

We went here for food & drink, plus a good look around at Lemmy's haunt and the Lair of the Hollywood Vampires. First off our waitress, who was initially all by herself, was absolutely phenomenal. Even though she was rushed off her feet, she didn't let it show and she was so cheerful. I even said at the end that all waitresses should be like her! On entry we asked if it was possible to sit at the Guns N' Roses booth that was used in November Rain and luckily for us, no-one else was sat there, so we were seated there. The drinks hit the mark and the food was delicious. We even had a chat with the chef and learned a few things about what he does to add his twists on things. After the food it was up to the Lair and a full look at all the merch, which is everywhere. Then it was outside to Lemmy's Lounge for a few pictures before we bought a few t-shirts and shot glasses. This was excellent, as so many of our musical heroes have been here before us and left their mark on the place.

Great experience in an unforgettable restaurant where Lemmy Kilmister, the legendary frontman of Motörhead, considered the Rainbow Bar & Grill his second home. During the final two decades whenever Motörhead was not on tour, Lemmy was a daily fixture at the Rainbow, often found playing the video poker machine near the back of the bar.

Great place for a rocker to be at. Prices are good at this location since LA is not a cheap city, food was good although Burgers are between 20-25 bucks. The ladies are very kind and always making sure you are having a good experience, good music and memories about legends with all decoration. Do not miss the chance to visit this place if it is your first time in LA and you like rock or metal

Went here by request. The place is actually not bad. Lots of history in the building from the Rock & Roll era. Guitar collections were on the display & other music instruments including photos in memory of all the artists. I don’t know much about the history of the music but I love the atmosphere. It makes you feel like you’re in another world. Servers were very friendly & helpful. Their homestyle chips is the Best! We only came for snacks & drinks so we can’t say much about the foods. If you’re a fan of Lemmy, he has his own lounge just outside at the entrance. His statue & his remains apparently are there for all of his fan who come visit.

If you’re looking for something that really resembles what old Hollywood (not classy nor glamorous) but biker-ish, rockstar-ish, Ozzy Osborne-ish, bad-ass-ish:, heavy metal-ish, and dress however you want, but a feel of old school sunset boulevard, and non-pretentious establishment whatsoever, this it. It’s a dingy and dark place (respectfully) with stiff drinks and surprisingly good food. One server with a poor attitude while the rest were super cool! (The bad apple exists everywhere) The chicken piccata was AMAZING! Their homemade meatballs; WOW. Crispy Prosecco. Yes, they serve Prosecco! The strawberry fields cocktail became the MVP of the night. Clean bathrooms. A lot of bars within to choose from. A patio for smokers. I’m not one, but yeah… Oh- the chocolate cake- WOWZERS I wish I would’ve have come before. It was my first time and definitely not my last. Celebrated a birthday and the bday girl asked we met here. I love my daughter, so I showed up. Far from my home but happy to report it was worth the drive. Happy birthday to every Scorpio out there!

This place is definitely one of a kind! Feels like the OG Hard Rock. It’s filled with original rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia and posters, making it a must-visit for music lovers. The atmosphere is really cool, and while we visited around 6 PM, you could tell it probably gets even livelier later in the evening. The staff was super nice, and our server was beyond friendly—she took the time to explain things and had such a great energy that made the experience even better. There are multiple rooms to explore, which adds to the fun, and the whole space has a great, laid-back vibe. If you’re into music and looking for a fun, unique place to check out, this is definitely worth a visit!

Was a cool place to see since my wife and I love Music, but the food was underwhelming. Mozzarella sticks were fantastic but the burger and pasta were not good. The pizza and wings at other tables Looked great so maybe we missed out. Another restaurant that charged 20.00 to park. Something we aren’t used to.

Rainbow Bar & Grill has a lot of history and is known for its connection to rock music and Hollywood culture. The atmosphere reflects that well, with posters, memorabilia, and a classic bar setup that makes it feel like a landmark. It’s a unique place that’s fun to look around and take in, especially if you’re a fan of music history. Unfortunately, the service was not good. It took a very long time to be seated, and even longer to place an order. The servers seemed overwhelmed or uninterested, and we had to ask multiple times for basic things like water or condiments. Once we ordered, the food took too long to arrive. When it did come, it wasn’t hot, and the taste didn’t match the high prices. The menu is expensive for what you get, and the quality is not consistent. If you’re visiting for the atmosphere or to say you’ve been there, it might be worth checking out once. But if you’re looking for a good meal or reliable service, this probably isn’t the right spot.

Went to the Rainbow for my wife's birthday. Food was ok, not bad at all. Service was absolute crap. We were seated quickly but the server basically forgot about out us. Food was late coming out and we asked for simple things that never arrived. Cool place to visit but this time we couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Honestly, the food was lack luster at best. I could get better cuisine at any chain restaurant. If you are looking for great food and a great historic atmosphere steeped in rock and roll, then you will only get half that because the food is quite honestly terrible. I will say, on a positive note that the service was pretty good and the overall theme of the place suits what it's known for. But if you expect great food then go ahead and lower your expectations because the owners of this place has lost what it means to serve decent food, and has gotten caught up in the ego of the establishment itself. Speaking as someone on the outside looking in, I could only recommend this place for it's looks and thats it.

If you want a good dosage of attitude, dismissal, and arrogance from your bartender, as well as VERY over-priced drinks, this is the place for you!

I don’t really write reviews but I feel obligated to warn people to NEVER ORDER THE FRIES HERE! I’ve rarely met a fry I didn’t like, but these were truly atrocious. They were totally cold, hard, and the texture was so weird. It was like they weren’t even deep fried. My husband and I kept joking that they were prop fries taken off of a movie set since they had the texture of styrofoam. The food overall is kinda crazy overpriced (a soda is $6, for example) so for the food to be this bad was really disappointing. Our server was super sweet so we should’ve had the balls to send the food back and ask for a refund but we felt too bad. Instead, I’m writing this review so you don’t make the same mistake we did! Lol. After we paid way too much money for this food we hardly ate, we quietly observed some of the rock memorabilia on the walls as we made our way toward the exit. A bouncer noticed us taking no more than a minute looking at the walls and aggressively goes, “ARE YOU GUYS GOOD??!” Uh, yeah? First of all, it’s early on a Sunday evening. Clearly we’re not drunk. This place is basically a museum, so we were just looking at some of the stuff on the walls which is what that stuff is there for, right? I assured him “yeah we’re just leaving!” and we left. Not a huge deal, it was just kinda weird that he seemed weirded out by us doing something that I would assume was normal there.
