Found by accident, they served the absolute best shrimp linguine I've ever had and the cheese cake was the real deal. This was a very unexpected suprise and the service/food was excellent.

When in Williams you must have dinner at Louie Cairo's. It's been there since I was a kid more than 60 years ago. There's good reason why it continues to please its patrons, locals and tourists alike: The food and bar are excellent.

Havent been in quite a while, but Louis Cairo's is a gem of a place in Williams food is delicious - loaded Greek salad is a favorite because I love me a "big salad" and the Greek has EVERYTHING needs to qualify. Tri tip is tender and tasty, perfectly marinated and grilled. This place warrants a visit. if you are on I5 exit at Williams and enjoy.

Non-nom. What a gem this place is. The food is scrumptious with reasonable prices. Never had a bad meal here in 40 years!

Food is fantastic. If you are a garlic fan you must have the Louis bread with or without the blue cheese. Service is friendly and attentive without being annoying.

I have been going to Louis Cairo's since I was a little girl, it has changed very little in that time, more casual dress requirements are about all that has changed, the good has always been and still remains some of the best in the area. Primarily Italian foods, with some of the best, veal, lamb and prime rib. The absolute best part is the garlic bread, layered with garlic, real garlic, not powder or just a few shredded prices if garlic but 1/4 " thick in garlic on top, and now they make the same style garlic bread layered with melted blue cheese, and I cannot pass it up any time I'm there. You won't have to worry about vampires for a week after eating Louis Bread! 😁

This was truly one of the best meals I've had in a super long time. Sweetbreads were outstanding. Atmosphere and waitstaff went above and beyond expectations. Thanks Louis Cairo's.

Hometown italian spot for good service and good food. The drinks were potent and the peeps here were friendly. Accomodated our group if 9 + a high chair for the baby in just a few minutes. Good food and plenty of it! Pleasant surprise in the small town of Williams, CA.

Great Italian place about 20 minutes from home. Relaxed atmosphere and outstanding food! I think I will smell like garlic for days after eating their famous Louis garlic bread! I had the half ravioli/spaghetti and my husband had the seafood with fresh dungeonous crab!

A great local story. A newly arrived American family digs deep and bulids upon success in a family effort and we reap the benefits of a classy restaurant. I had the Steamed clam with spice sausage pasta. The clam chowder was very good (Friday's) the potatoe skins great, the garlic bread was just OK, the antipasto was verynice . The service miased the mark and thd lady said they were short handed and she was the only one in our area. She missed several requests but made a good effort and I gave her a full tip. ( don't even get me started on tipping) the business has changed hands znf maybe the original family is out of the loop but it's good food, atmosphere and a full bar.

The food itself was excellent. I ordered clam chowder and chicken marsala, and my husband ordered minestrone soup and Mac and cheese. Everything was hot and delicious! The garlic bread was outstanding, as well. We didn’t call ahead and they were able to squeeze us in without much of a wait, so that was also unexpected and appreciated! Our waitress was clearly overworked and stretched thin, and we watched her apologize to multiple tables for forgetting things. We also heard her ask the front of house to stop seating her section because she was running around and doing the best she could. I felt awful for contributing to that, so we tipped as well as we could. Hopefully Louis Cairo’s has additional staff who can help, or is perhaps hiring more?

Absolutely perfect filet mignon! Also they were doing a great job of safely running a restaurant with covid-19 restrictions while not losing the ambiance or enjoyment. Whether you're going north or south, make this stop in williams. You won't regret it.

Everyone was friendly, greeted us quickly and got us to a table. The garlic bread was great. The Calamari Steak, however, was something else. It was hands down the best I have ever had. Pan fried to perfection, mild and so tender. It was so good, I couldn't stop eating it. What a great meal. Definitely a hidden gem in a town like Williams.

I grew up in this town. Back when the owner; Louie Cairo would busy himself by making sure diners had what they wanted. The menu has been the same since the 60s. I recommend the prime rib and chicken sec. And if you are garlic lovers it's famous Louie garlic bread rocks, especially with the added blue cheese!

Wonderful bar and restaurant. The waitress and staff gave excellent service. My friends and I were celebrating my birthday. This has become one of our favorite places to meet our friends since they're traveling from Lake County and we're coming from Solano. The only downside was prime rib dinners aren't served until the weekend. However, I enjoyed my Chicken Parmigiana and spinach soup.

Friendly service, food is excellent and I look forward to see what is new on their specials. They have a great wine selection, and their pasta meat sauce is my favorite! If it's your first time, must try the Louis Bread or if you're brave the Blue Louis Bread.

We celebrated my husbands birthday at Louie's. Well worth the hour drive to enjoy a wonderful dinner. The staff went out of their way to fix pan fried oysters (not usually on their menu) for him. That is one of the reasons Louie's has such a loyal following. Thanks for another wonderful memory, great food and great staff.

Saw this place on yelp tonight while traveling. It was a quick walk from the hotel. We were promptly greeted and seated with water and menus. The server recommended a great local beer on tap. I ordered the petite fillet, a baked potato, and side salad. All their dressing is made from scratch, the blue cheese is amazing. The meal came with a small antipasti salad...salami, pepperchini, red & garbanzo beans, & olives, & carrots. This was a great addition on top of the side salad that came with my meal. My bacon-wrapped fillet was cooked perfectly, medium rare, juicy, and stayed warm as I ate it. The baked potato was delicious with crispy skin but not dry. My dad ordered the tri tip with mushroom wine sauce. I tried some and it was mouthwatering, the mushrooms were perfect, not too soft not too raw, with tons of flavor. And this was all an outdoor experience on the nice patio being Covid and all. We walked right up to the patio to get seated, we didn't need to go inside. It got dark while we ate but they had nice patio lighting. If we had room (or more people) we would've definitely ordered an appetizer or desert. At the table next to us, someone was eating a steak salad, it looked delicious. I definitely recommend Louis Cairo's and would eat here again. I'm pretty picky, so that says a lot!

Our party came for dinner and the restaurant was packed with people. They told us it would be a 30 minute wait, but it turned out it was only a few minutes and they had us seated. The server was so pleasant and funny and apparently worked two jobs. The food came very quickly, plenty of it and delicious. We were all very pleased. I left without my raincoat with my prescription sunglasses in the coat pocket. I realized it after we drove three and a half hours to home. I called the next day and they had my coat and glasses. Pam, the manager said she would send it to me right away. I got it two days later. I couldn't recommend this place strong enough. It is definitely a favorite of locals in the area and I can see why. Great food, great service, wonderful staff

It is a classic establishment serving up the same food from when it first opened. By far the best thing on their menu is their Louis Bread which is garlic bread topped with a quarter inch of roasted garlic!

Ate in the bar, very friendly..old fashioned in the very best sense. over the top service! The garlic and blue chees bread options are supreme..yum. More than amble portions on the delicious side. My go to option is on the lighter side with antipasti plate, soup and salad plus a small portion of spaghetti and ravioli with a slow simmered red meat sauce. My handsome escort had the calamari smothered in mushroom wine sauce, tender and fine. Our finish was a satisfying creme brulee..we are out if towners and make an effort to stop whenever we can. oh yeah, try you will like it. oops, forgot to mention the amazing full bar, as good as it gets.

First time coming to this place. Waitress was very nice. We went in before their close time, and although there was a rush to get our food order in the rest was not rushed. Food was good, however a large party was at the bar, and my drink order took over 15mins waitress said she didn't know when they would get to my drink. Therefore I decided to just cancel the drink all together. Meal was kinda on the expensive side for what we ordered.

Service was outstanding. Short handed but server did a great job. We were a party of 7 and we all were pleased Good was good. Price value was fair. That seems to be the case of most establishments as result of COVID and related price increases.

Wish we had gone elsewhere. Service just okay. Server just not into customer service. Salad good. Entree good. The Louis bread was unedible. Waaay too much garlic and I like garlic. Won't bother going back.

The food was so so. We had a large group that were a few couples but mostly singles, this did not please the waitress! some one should tell the waitress that when she rolls her eyes behind a patron the people on the other side of the table can still see her! The couple next to me had gotten a drink at the bar while waiting and had not paid for it. They told the waitress who said "don't even tell me about it! I've got enough going on without hearing about that!" The wife ordered soup and salad only and didn't get a bill. When they told her she waved her had and said "well, just forget it!" Another person paid her ticket with cash, the waitress came back and said that there were only three dollars in the folder, although another diner saw her put in 23.00! The whole time she was serving, every time she went back to the tray to get another plate, she rubbed her palm back and forth over her nose. Not very sanitary. She just seemed a little put out that she was having to serve us although we were really pretty simple as far as groups go. We had to go find her to get drinks that we had ordered but never got. And we were never offered another drink. So all-in-all, I had the stuffed chicken which was dry but the sauce was great. The mashed potatoes were cold . I'd give the food a 5. The service I'd give a 2. I would be willing to try it one more time, but if it is anything like tonight, that would be it.

New Years dinner plans at Louie Cairos was such a let down. The place was practically empty at 7pm. The food was not up to regular standards. The fried ravioli was terrible, it was plain ravioli, fried with no breadcrumbs, no seasoning, no grated Parmesan cheese. And who serves ravioli with ranch. Very disappointing. No one in our group thought their meal was good. The waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted Louie bread. Left us wondering what happened. We’ve been patrons throughout our lives. Was so looking forward to it.

Food is over priced. Plates are dressed with terrible lettuce. Shameful ordered the Famous Steak sandwich. Over cooked and Medium Rare came Medium Well. Steak appeared to be 1 maybe 1.5 ounces if that. Plate said nothing good about it. After I placed what the waitress/bar tender said was anti pasta onto my salad it took away some of the dryness of the lettuce. For a small town like Williams, CA with a restaurant that charged me $51 for my meal so disappointing.

G
Glenn Schworak

For the price, the food was not very good. I am not usually picky, but for $30 a plate, I expect it to be at least as good as an Olive garden. The staff treated us decently but the ravioli tasted like it was right out of a freezer bag, the meat balls were extremely dry and lacked flavor. The "roasted garlic bread" was basically inedible because it was so much garlic on top it made us gag. The spaghetti was under cooked and the sauce was runny and again lacked flavor. The Alfaro sause was not bad but wasn't any better than what you get in a jar from the store. Honestly, our $60 meal was worth maybe half that.

I go back 50 years, going to Louis Cairo’s steak house on my way and back from Clear Lake. Enjoyed a great porterhouse with all the trimmings, table relishes, salads, bread and excellent house wine. It was fantastic. Today, not so much. I am not sure if the foreign born, new owners actually understand what a California steak house is supposed to be. I have given them a couple of chances, all done.

I have been going here for 15+ years during duck season... Last visit was the worst meal I ever had there. Medium rare order for my rib eye and got medium well and it was on the colder side. In a group of 16...12 of us were disappointed with our meals. Time to look elsewhere for our opening weekend dinner. End of a tradition......

It's labeled and priced like an upscale restaurant however the food and service quality is that of a diner. However, the wait staff at a diner tends to be nicer to the patrons. Most if the good and sides taste like they came from a can. And the garlic bread they are famous for will leave your hands and face covered on oil. This may be right up your alley. But was not mine.

Just left the place. VERY expensive & certainly NOT all that. Got lasagna, was ok. Had to pay $7.00 for garlic bread, which should automatically come with your pasta entree. My husband ordered surf & turf. The prawns were good, but Turf says it all for the filet mignon. It was like eating the turf. Ordered medium done and it was dried out. No juice at all in the steak. Didnt order any cocktails, just water and the bill was $ 60.00. For a pasta dinner & dried out steak dinner, OUTRAGEOUS. Never Again, we will go to Jack"s in Redding !!!!!

E
Erin Benedict

It was VERY expensive for 2 people. I will not go again. The Louie bread was saturated oil and had a thick layer of garlic it was not edible. The steak knife wouldn't slice bread let alone a prime rib.

I can't tell you strongly enough, this is not Italian food. Whatever it was, it was awful. Over $50 for 2 of us. Portions tiny!! Charged me $17 for shrimp scampi which consisted of a little cup full of melted butter, garlic and 5 prawns! Yes, 5 ! Unbelievable!

D
Dan Vetter

Do not go here if you are looking for good authentic Italian. Nothing we ordered met expectations and some items were inedible, not to mention over-priced. My wife and I stopped here on our way up I-5 at the recommendation of the hotel. We were impressed by the number of people (I'm guessing a lot of Saturday Night locals) in the restaurant; and reading that the restaurant had been in business over 60 years led us to believe we'd get some old-school Italian, like we experienced many years ago in Omaha. We ordered the fried ravioli appetizer - a special treat from our Omaha days - and were so disappointed with the tough-skinned, flavorless bits that arrived with a plastic cup of ranch dressing on the side - WHAT, no marinara!? We left all but the four of these we tasted. Then the salads arrived - probably the best part of the meal - but truly nothing special: just lettuce from a bag. Our expectations were considerably lowered by then, so we were not surprised when the main course was equally uninspired. The spaghetti was over-cooked, the red sauce bland....The minestrone off, really inedible. To be fair I did find the eggplant parmigiana OK, and finished most of that. Also, the $10 appetizer was removed from our bill upon request.

This steakhouse knows nothing about steak. My boyfriend and I ordered two sandwiches. A tri tip steak sandwich and a prime rib sandwich both medium rare. Both came out well done. Why ask how people want there steak just to ignore it? My "sandwich" consisted of overcooked steak slabs that did not even look like the correct cut of meat and soggy bread. Nothing else. That's not a sandwich. My garlic mashed potatoes had ZERO salt or cream in them. They were luke warm with a puddle of melted butter on top. They charge a massive amount for their sandwiches and try to make up for the lack of quality by including a bunch of random crap with the entree. FOCUS ON THE STEAK!! Get rid of the "antipasto". It's not real antipasto and it's awful. Also we were served by the hostess for the entire meal and her service was poor at best. Our meal took ninety minutes and most of it was waiting for her to bring us our food or beverages. I left two thirds of my meal on the plate when I left. I never waste food but this place was just awful. I appreciate the history but not all historical places survive. This place is really just a place for locals to hang out at the bar together. Don't waste your time or money. I regret wasting my $70. The two good points, the minestrone soup was pretty good and my boyfriend liked the blue Louie bread. But not good enough to make up for the rest of the experience.

I payed 30 dollars for 6 pieces of shrimp, the sauce was water downed, it’s over priced and the only taste was lemon. the garlic bread is over rated it’s like they dumped a can of garlic on it, there is no butter no flavor it tasted like burnt garlic on a plain white burnt bread. They put a teaspoon of ranch on my salad. The only thing they got right was the garlic fries witch is the bare minimum. In the end I payed $80 for to meals Hungary and unsatisfied.
