Wongs

If this unassuming Chinese food restaurant were in San Francisco, where we were cat sitting, last week, or in Ashland Oregon where we've retired, there would be a line out the door. The food is that good! The drive between Ashland and the Bay Area is 6 hours. If we don't get on the road first thing, we often stop over half-way in Willows. Why? Because we can get take-out at Wongs to enjoy across the street at the Holiday Inn Express. Seriously, for several years, Wongs has been our go-to spot for dinner on the road Everything is fresh, delicious, with abundant portions. Plus friendly service and very reasonably priced! Wongs doesn't look like much outside (or really, inside). But take it from us, for to-die-for take out: "You Can't Go Wrong at Wongs."

I walked in after a long day at work right before they closed instead of Turning Me Away they stayed open and made me one of the most delicious takeout orders I've ever had from a Chinese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and made to perfection if I'm ever in the area again I definitely will be stopping by.

Got take-out from here while staying at the Motel 6 next door. Quite good!! Surpassed my expectations and hopes. General Tao’s Chicken and Garlic String Beans were both very yummy, with good flavors and textures. The veggies were fresh, bright green, crisp-tender. I called in our order and it was ready in 15 minutes. Prices were good, portions generous but not ‘oh no what are we going to do with all this food.’ If this restaurant were in my town I would eat here regularly. Thank you, people of Wong’s, for a delicious dinner for us weary travelers.

Food was fantastic. Had family dinner for four: sweet and sour pork was to die for! Almond chicken also excellent. My husband is so happy we found a place with chicken in foil on the menu that is as good as homemade.

We eat here once a month. Food is good. Service is excellent. Daily specials. We usually take home food to eat later. Come hungry. Moderate prices. Dinner for two mid 30s. Rice and lo mein are extra. We eat ketoesque so not a problem. Veggies are cooked well.

As a truck driver willows ca is now a regular overnight stay for me. I saw the sign and decided to stop in because I’ve been craving Chinese food. Teresa was SUCH A HELP on ordering food for the night and something for leftovers tomorrow. 100% satisfied with service and food. Thank you Teresa for your help. I will be back!!

Made a pit stop here on the drive up I-5 and I'm so glad I did. The food was hot and delicious, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was genuinely cozy in a clean and tidy dining room. I had a House special plate and ALL of the items were delicious. The hot and sour soup was thick and perfectly flavored for me with lots of nibbly ingredients. The egg roll was crisp and meaty, and tbh I don't usually like egg rolls. Noodles and fried rice also excellent. Cashew chicken entrée was a-ok. This place is about an hour from us but we'll definitely go back. It's definitely worth stopping to eat here if you are in the area.

Standard Chinese restaurant. Large seating area. Lighting is not great. It is in the white cold spectrum. Would prefer a warmer light. Service is super fast. Was late night mid week when I got there. I order a diner special and the soup arrived right away. The main dish arrived shortly after I was done with the soup. The waitress that served me was attentive and polite. The diner special is a plate with fried rice noodle and the main dish that you choose. Plate are on the large side. You do get quite a good amount of food for the price. Most of the vegetable in my plate were fresh, not from a can. There plenty of booth and larger table to accommodate bigger parties. Access is convenient and there are plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I bit the tip of the potsticker added some sauce and put the whole thing in my mouth it literally exploded with so many awesome flavors in my mouth and it was A-amazing. It’s a must try! Had called in our order for Sweet and Sour Pork and Kung Pao Chicken On the Lunch Special. Was tasty....would return. When asked about the use of MSG, was told YES on SOME DISHES. Can leave out if Requested.

First time here. Loved the friendliness of waitress and low prices. Since I stopped on trip home. Was in & out within 30-40 mins. Very full with more food to take home. Definitely will return.

I got the spicy salted shrimp --- that was bomb 5/5 I also got the pork chow mein --- it was iight 3/5 Overall, for price and quality .... pretty good place!

Prices were great, we were there for lunch and it was a bit slower than fast food but not much. We had the specials which included a little bowl of soup and an egg roll. They didn't have coffee though which we needed to perk us up for the next leg of our journey.

Three different lunch specuals ordered, they looked identical. They were not very good. Took a couple bites and we all threw them away. Will never go there again.. Very disappointed

My review for this place remains the same... OVER PRICED.... they charge you for EVERY ITEM..... if you know STEAMED RICE "comes" with your meal & you choose fried rice ok I can see the extra charge.... but to charge you for steamed rice is absurd... even the best Asian restaurant DOES NOT CHARGE FOR EVERY INDIVIDUAL ITEM.... yes the food has gotten better but the charges for certain items (which in other restaurants come with the meal) are still a problem.....perhaps being the only other chinese restaurant in town near HWY 5 & motels in the area makes a difference in why their charges are over priced.... this is simply my opinion & review.

I really enjoy the food, decently priced, very clean. But they don't warn you when something is spicy. When you have a medical issue. And she stood there and laughed about it when you told her.

We ordered take out last night. The chicken chow main was good but our pork and orange chicken was so over cooked you could NOT chew it. Dry and hard. So 4 people split one order of noodles. I have been going there for years and it seems to be getting worse every time.

I really Hate Hate HATE leaving bad reviews. I also couldn't tell you if the food is good or bad. What I can say is that the smell inside this restaurant was enough to make me run outside & hurl. Im sensitive to smells ok but this was beyond that. Im sorry Wongs- I was really looking forward to the war wonton soup but there is no way.

I went to this place the chicken smelled so bad told the Owen and she said it was a the seasoning when the chicken was rotten we didn’t eat anything and still had to pay we left And we saw a cockroach too

Bleh. Cheaply made, at a high price. All of the chicken was breaded and fried, including in the chicken fried rice(!). Even though we ordered and they "cooked it fresh", it was obvious that they used old cooked rice and old breaded chicken in the preparation, that had been sitting out for who knows how long. We came in about 40 minutes before they closed, but at those prices, no excuse to serve old food. We paid $28 for 2 people (one main dish, chicken fried rice, and an appetizer, to go). Fried cream cheese wontons doughy. Garlic chicken tasted good. Fried rice was awful. Staff was nice, though. Update: Next day, husband spending the day in the bathroom. I'll spare you the gory details. =/

Having ordered Kung Pao Chicken 2x recently at this restaurant, I can honestly say it is flavorful and seems consistent. Problem: this is supposed to be a spicy dish as well. Far cry from being spicy. I don't understand why this place can't make a spicy dish that is labeled on menu as a spicy dish. On top of it, they burn egg rolls. Worst Chinese food ever. Never going there again. Complete waste of money as it's overpriced for the poor quality food
