My favorite spot on the ave! The man that works there with glasses is great. Very polite and remembers you (I'm the two spicy mayo gal). The prices are amazing. I only switch between the chicken teriyaki bento box which is so filling or just plain chicken teriyaki which is a huge poration for the price. Such a good addition to the neighborhood because you can't find anything like this anywhere. *Just a quick update, the young girl whose name I should definitely ask for already is the best! She remembers me and my bf and exactly what we need for our dinners! She's great!

The store it self is quite beautiful with its design and seating is also quite comfortable for the multiple times I've eaten here. The food is great and it's price isn't half bad either and it's just very nice to eat here. Doors away from the J train and a few seconds from the buses puts this store at not only just highly accessible but also highly enjoyable.

It's a really neat place in a neighborhood where there aren't that many restaurants centered around Asian cousins besides take out. The Teriyaki Chicken there is great and always tests fresh. Customer service is great to, the cashiers always have a smile on their face. Overall, a great addition to the community.

Came in to use the bathroom, but stayed for the Two Rolls lunch special. Shrimp tempura was freshly fried and tasty. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to avoid the fast food options in the neighborhood in favor of something a bit more adventurous

Great sushi. Affordable lunch specials and great service. This is a great place to go for sushi and other assorted Japanese foods. The Japanese sodas they have are really good! They have a ball you push into the glass bottle so you can drink from the spout where the ball was. Very good!

Great spot for teriyaki chicken with rice, or some sushi rolls to go! You can eat there if you like, seating is nothing fancy but there are plenty of spots. More of a Japanese fast food type, hibachi style with options to sushi rolls. The people that work there are very nice, pretty fast too. Not much like this in the area.

I order from this spot at least once a week via UberEats the food ia always fresh, good portions & delicious. I visited the restaurant one day because I like to see where I'm getting my food from & from what I saw it very clean and the staff was friendly. The Salmon Bento Box is my favorite 😋

I’ve never had their teriyaki before however I’ve had their roll combos a lot and every time it has been made quickly and the rolls taste delicious and fresh.

My family and I would come here to eat after classes n usually have small dates when I'm on break from work. We always get the chicken teriyaki. Sometimes pork dumplings. Their fried ice cream is pretty good as well. This is usually our go to place to eat when we're hungry

A nice little place for decent priced Japanese food because it's kinda hard to come across a Sushi spot that won't dig too deep in your wallet. The food and the atmosphere is nice and it's enough for me to make this a regular place whenever I have a taste for Sushi.

Ninja Japan Teriyaki & Sushi is amazing value — you can get a huge portion of chicken and rice for around $11–$12, and it tastes fantastic. The meals are solid, filling, and consistently good, and the sushi is surprisingly good for the price. Honestly, it’s just a place that does everything right, great food, great portions, great value. Highly recommend if you want a reliable, satisfying meal.

Ordered takeout. Simple menu, with rolls averaging about $5/roll which is a steal in this day and age. The sushi itself was good, with an appropriate rice:fish ratio. The chicken teriyaki (tender dark meat!) was delicious and the portion was huge.

I gave this 5 stars comparing apples to apples: this restaurant with other restaurants of this type. So this is a nice variation on the Chinese takeout place...It's not Chinese and it has restaurant-type seating. In another pleasant wrinkle, you create your meal when You order: starting with a base entree and adding vegetables of your liking etc. This is an efficiently run "quick cook" restaurant. I say Quick Cook, because this isn't fast food - with all the baggage that term has come to acquire (poor quality, unhealthy, etc). Both the place in the food are clean. The staff is friendly and they cook the food in full view of the customer snd do so in literally minutes.... like 5 minutes and its on your table or in your hands. I got beef teriyaki over fried rice with mushrooms only. The portion is impressive, weighing at least 3 lbs. They are generous with the meat and it is quality meat. No gristle or excessive fat as is common in some low end places. And the taste is outstanding. And all that for a very reasonable price. I paid a mere $10.75 for my entree. I actually walked 14 blocks in the rain for this meal (7 each way - so I wouldn't lose a prime parking place,) but it is absolutely worth it. In my opinion, this is the best thing going on Jamaica Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard. I'll be back. ...... I am back: I've been here 8 times since the last review. And every time it's excellent. I recently got the chicken teriyaki. The chicken portion is downright impressive. There's gotta be a pound of chicken on here. And it's all cooked to perfection. Not overdone not crispy just tenderly browned and exquisitely flavoured. In the Marine Corps we have a word to describe something that's far and above the norm. That word is outstanding. Well ninja Japan teriyaki sushi is that. this place certainly stands out.... I highly recommend it.

Ordered delivery via Seamless, the food arrived hot and the amount was overflowing in the boxes. Definitely surprised us. Ask for extra teriyaki sauce because it makes it taste so good. The shumai was delicious. I think it would be better to either eat there and order for pick up because my only issue was the fees on the app. Definitely recommend this place and would be ordering more in the future and also telling friends and family to check them out

Love their food and sushi. I always went here with my best friends before the pandemic. They're on ubereats now and have great packaging so I order for my family too. Just a suggestion to whoever owns the place, but you guys should hire someone to do bubble tea since there aren't any competitors nearby, and it'll bring in even more business!

It is really awesome! before I would have to go all the way to queen center mall to get some good teriyaki chicken and noodles at a place called,"noodle house". Now that I discovered ninja Japan I have some awesome food close by with amazing tasting gyoza to boot!! I usually have to go to "naruto ramen" in queens to get amazing tasting gyoza but now that changed. The staff is fast paced and even pay attention to their customers. When we were done i was gonna ask for a bag but the man already knew what I needed and handed it to me so quickly. The only downside is that they do not deliver nor have uber eats but I don't mind. I will make time to go down there because it is close by! They have naruto images on the menu too. decent portion sizes too. I took some home so make sure you have enough space!

Ordered from here a few times so far and I've only tried the three roll special. Mostly have ordered late at night about the time of closing due to classes or work and they have always had the same passion and respect even when the closing times are near. Sushi is really good and cheaper than many places in NYC and the cashier lady who I always see there is really nice. Although the first time I have had ordered there was a black hair in the sushi.

I got fried flounder fish which was perfect, and I tasted chicken teriyaki from my daughter and that was excellent. Going again soon!!

I came here for a quick lunch and I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable and delicious the food was. I ordered the gyoza, which was fried perfectly and came with a dipping sauce. The chicken teriyaki was tasty and very filling. The portions are big. I had to save some for later.

The place is popular among people of all ages because of its affordability. Since the highlight of restaurant was chicken teriyaki, I'll give them a three. I had the beef teriyaki and to be quite honest oh, it tasted like steak and gravy. Rice was Bland and not as to be expected but enough however the Crux of the entire meal was the steak and the vegetables all take like it was gobbled in gravy. Definitely would not recommend that entree. Also the shrimp and rice was Bland as well. The shrimp had no flavor. Did not have the chicken teriyaki but it was heavily advertised, so I assumed it was probably the better choice and it was also the cheapest choice.

The sushi didn't have enough fish in it. It was clean and nice. But the staff was not friendly they would not even say a simple thank you but great you with an unwelcoming look.

I ordered the beef & chicken teriyaki combo, with vegetables and fried rice. The food tasted good, but the beef was fatty, rubbery, and half couldn't be eaten. The chicken was delicious though. Still, a disappointing meal since most of the beef was inedible.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time and I was sadly disappointed. Although the food arrived hot and safe (no spills) it was very bland. I had to add soy sauce to soup and salmon teriyaki to make it more flavorful. And the salmon teriyaki had very little sauce and very few veggies. Only 4 small pieces of broccoli and small amount of onions/cabbage with no carrots. Tons of white rice though! I normally order salmon teriyaki Bento Box from midtown Japanese place on 3rd Ave for just $2 more than the salmon teriyaki and it has lots of veggies, rice, avocado or California rolls and comes with free miso soup. Unfortunately I was home today but wanted to treat myself with Japanese food. What a waste of money...good thing I had credit from Uber. Not sure how this restaurant got such good reviews but I'll never order from here again.

We ordered a large meal through Uber Eats. Partway through eating, my fiancé bit into an eel roll and had to spit out a metal staple that was lodged inside. Thankfully he didn’t swallow it, but this is extremely concerning and a serious safety issue. Finding foreign objects in food is unacceptable. We won’t be ordering again.

I Am dissipointed. I have been going here since they opened up the spot; I had terrible food yesterday and I complained right away. Food smelled and fish was old on the sushi. When I called and complained, the lady who picked up said or acknowledge nothing. Again, dissipointing.

Mostly rice than variety of veggies. I understand business needs to survive but at least include tofu or soy meat on scarce vegetable dishes. The only veggies found the most was cabagge. I rather take the time to eat at home.

Check your bag before you leave. They will give you any roll but what you ordered and on top of that it won’t be fresh. Bad experience

The worst experience ever. I ordered here for the first time from uber eats. The prices looked expensive and the pictures looked good so I thought the food would be good. It was not! It looked gross as soon as I opened the container, and the taste wasn't much better. I had a teriyaki chicken with rice and vegetables but there was basically no vegetables at all. The price on uber eats was around $14 but I later saw the stores menu says like $7. They also took 45 minutes to prepare my order. Never again, don't bother trying!

I ordered some miso soup and the bento lunch box. The soup was old and it tastes sour. I was sold a spoiled soup. I am not ordering from them ever again.

It baffles me that Japanese and sushi is even in the name of this place! This was by far the worst sushi I have ever had. Every sushi item is either cooked or over stuffed with rice! And the two items that actually have raw fish they either put extra vegetables with close to no fish or they chopped the fish up with temporarily to bulk it up! Absolutely not worth the money unless you are a “cooked sushi roll person” I really wish I didn’t spend so much money on this trash!
