Monty’s is an old school steakhouse. The decor is dated but I love it (it’s like stepping into a time capsule). I’ve been told by several Los Angeles natives that Death Row Records artists such as Tupac and Snoop, as well as CEO Suge Knight frequented Monty’s in the 1990’s. The food is excellent and the staff are great.

The best steak I've had in a long time! I got the Prime Sizzling Ribeye and it was tender, and stayed hot bc of the sizzling plate...what a great concept. I eat slow so I hate when my food, especially meat gets cold. The baked potatoes are enough for 4 people! My husband got the burger and it was delicious. Fries were perfect, crispy & hot when served! Our server Marissa was so great, she was attentive and sweet! I loved this meal so much that it's my choice for my birthday this Friday! Can't wait!!

I have always enjoyed dining at Monty's, but this time I must give a hearty shout out to them to thank them for allowing World Central Kitchen and Topanga Reach, both excellent charities, to utilize their parking lot to serve victims of LA's massive fires. It is so important for each of us to do what we can to assist others in this emergency situation and we are very grateful for the valuable use of their parking lot in an excellent location in Woodland Hills. Had a really good birthday dinner here a few days ago with a couple friends. I haven't been in here in quite a while. The service was great The food was amazing and the contemporary fun music they played wasn't too loud and we can talk. I had the filet medium rare it was perfectl. Sauteed spinach with garlic was very good. And the dirty martini definitely hit the spot. I know this place has been here for quite a while and maybe they've done some updates but I really had a good time and like the place. I think you should come by sit at the bar for a drink maybe a meal or make some reservations with friends or even a party. They do have valet parking for a dollars, or there is plenty of street parking around. Cheers

This is an old classic and we’ve been there many times. However, I finally decided to give a review because the dinner we had was so good! I think the pictures speak for themselves but the burrata filet was out of this world !! And the bread pudding should not be legal😳😋😍 We sit at the bar at most of our dinners and the bar does not disappoint 🍸🎉

Fabulous but pricey experience. Glad I spent the $$$$ but I will be more reserved next time. $198. 2 x martinis, Delmonico NY Steak, side of creamed spinach and meatball appetizer. Bartender was great and very friendly. The staff all were very busy but very good at service.

The crab legs are to die for. The shrimp Monty is a must try. The Steaks are prime cuts. Good wine list, Champagne, full bar. The family has always prepared the highest quality foods. Although the Woodland Hills restaurant is elegant, I do miss the old Encino location. Spendy but worth it! One of my all time favorite dining establishments. A quiet romantic night can be enjoyed at Monty's.

My family often chooses monty's for holiday meals. The service was okay, but I rated it a three because it definitely was nowhere near what it has been in the past, which was well above average. Somebody had the brilliant idea of having multiple servers share stations. The service team did as best as they could given that decision, however, it did cost them efficiency as servers were spending their time checking on things that had already been done by the other. The feeling of getting world class personal attention was absent altogether. Assuming that this was a poor decision by an inexperienced manager I would think most visits are not going to result in this experience and we still love Monty's. One other thing I would like to add; way too many televisions for what's supposed to be fine dining. Pick a lane, sports bar or fine dining, you can't do both! I'm sure this is to cater to successful bar business they bringing in, but you don't need them every six inches over the whole restaurant.

The steak and soup were delicious, and the red wine was good. Although we reserved for 10 p.m., we had to wait for 20 minutes, which was not pleasant. The table was next to the window, which was cold. I asked the lady who served us, but she said they couldn't do anything about it. In general, in comparison to high prices, it could provide much better service.

We came here for Vanessa's birthday the Ambiance is really nice but the tables are small and kind of tight one of the waitresses is the entertainment she was really nice and sounded great with her keyboards and accompanied on the acoustic guitar are waiter Chris was off the chain best customer service I think I've received in a five-star restaurant he was very attentive to our needs so if you're in Woodland Hills and you want to Steakhouse check out Monty's it's a bit pricey and the food is a hit or miss depending on what you order if you stay with the normal items ribeye steak you'll probably be pretty good I had Monty's shrimp it was horrible but the salmon and the rack of lamb off the chain delicious Soul check em out for a birthday holiday getaway they're open late night and they do have music to entertain you oh and they have big screen TVs that you can watch the games on so that's also a plus

I like steak, and I like it rare. I thought I would try Monty's since it's been around for a long time. I was not impressed. You walk up expecting fine dining magic, but instead, you get a suited manager deep in convo with the valet while you wrestle with the door yourself (Sir, are you guarding the building or just gossiping?). Now, speaking of the host — if I’m dropping this much cash, the least you can do is crack a smile and act like you’re happy to see me. A little warmth goes a long way, especially when you're sharing in the tip pool. The vibe didn’t get better from there: my mug was dirty, the tablecloth had mystery stains, and a runner tapped me on the back mid-meal to ask how I was doing. I don't know about you, but random surprise touches during dinner aren’t exactly on my wish list (I'd like to save that for after dinner). Food-wise, the sides come in massive portions. But don’t get too excited — if you ask for a half portion, they charge you more than half the price! Math is clearly not their strong suit. I ordered the Jim Davis Potatoes and the Delmonico Onions. They were not fascinating. Highlight of the night? The bread. It’s legitimately good. I just wish they didn't ruin it with stone cold butter. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly rare. Needless to say, I did not order dessert. Attached is a photo of my sad hot water pot missing its top. Wouldn't you be embarrassed if you were missing your top?

The food was good, but it wasn’t that good to be so expensive. Burrata filet is good. My fiancé didn’t care too much for the lamb. I tried it too and didn’t care for it either. Fried pickles were really good.
