Food is delicious, it’s Whataburger. The staff isn’t always polite so that sucks, but the food is great!
Today I picked up my order both hamburgers were completely dry and cold. This seems to be an ongoing problem at this whataburger. This is the 3rd time my food was of poor quality . I won’t waste my money eating here again.
Stopped in on football Friday but they were prepared with extra workers it seemed. Our French fries left something to be desired as they were pretty old but my onion rings were probably the best I've had away any Whataburger I've been to in the last 10 yrs!! Not all greasy or tasting of old grease nor were they all broken up and pieces of onion rings. They were super fresh as were both our burgers. The only issue was the fries.
Consistently well prepared, fresh food. Looks like the photo on the menu! Excellent service; friendly smiles.

How was Whataburger? What a silly question. It was wonderful. Unlike most fast food restaurants they always remember napkins, straws and sauces. I love when they have green chilies available. They should have them all year long. I love #7 with cheese, mayo and jalapeños! ❤️
Absolutely amazing food and fast service
Fries were very fresh and super tasty. Our breakfast (bobs) were pretty good and made to order. Restrooms were super clean. Staff not too friendly as no one greeted me or said good morning but it's ok, the apple pies made up for their lack of courtesy as I walked by to use the restroom
This is hands down the BEST whataburger location! The people that work there are always so nice even with difficult orders, the fries are always fresh and hot. As a weekly regular here James always makes sure my friends and I have the best/freshest meals after long clinical days.
I'm giving 5stars for just this day because it was outstanding. I can't say it's been the best all the time I've been. Michael B that took our order and served us at the drive thru was AWESOME. He double checked our order when we got to the window. Thank you for your wonderful service young man.
My taquito was delicious and staff followed instructions perfectly and were extremely pleasant a d upbeat. Highly recommend this location.

Drive through line was long but food was correct and fresh. Bathroom clean and stocked. Ordered fries, burger & tea for breakfast and lots of time its yesterdays tea and stale left over fried, but no all hot and fresh.
Just visiting this area. The burger was great, as usual, but the drink tasted like the mix was off. I haven't been to Whataburger for awhile and like that they have helpers bring your order & condiments to the table now - 2 nice guys helped us ☺
It was the first time we visited Whataburger, the chain is not in Europe... yet. The burger was perfect, good flavor with mustard and chilli. The staff were nice and helpful, as you experience most in Texas.
The restaurant was literally freezing. So much so that condensation was accumulating and dripping off the ceiling. Because of the temperature in the dining room as food was being cooked/fried...the fumes/grease created a smoke/haze in the dining room. It was crazy...
I would like to give it 5 stars but I cannot due to the wait time on the order. The restaurant appeared to be busy. The staff was very hospitable and everyone enjoyed their food. Thank you For the overall pleasant experience.
Typical small town Whataburger. Does not look like the inside has seen a remodel in 15 to 20 years, but the place was clean inside. I feel that we got decent service, but just like any fast food restaurant these days, the drive-thru is heavily prioritized and they really don't try to hide that. There are six people working the drive-thru, and one working the register who is the newbie. If you order to dine in, get ready to wait at least 10 minutes for your food. In our case, we had just driven a few hours so we were actually ready for a stop. The awesome Mexican food restaurant in the old downtown area had closed from last year to this year, so we chose something a little more generic this time. Think I'm going to do my research next year..... Four stars: not amazing over the top service but decent for the price paid if there is such a thing these days.
THREE nights in a row I've attempted to order a milkshake but they have it taken apart for cleaning. I work nights usually and this is the time I like to eat and snack. I don't feel its right for only daytime working folks to be able to satisfy their sweet tooth. Plus the wait time at this stores location is horrendous. If there was another option in Cuero I'm sure many people would use it. However on the positive side, the orders are usually right and the food usually good.
The food was good when we finally got it. It took them 20 minutes to get our food to us. There was nowhere to sit, but it was lunchtime, so I sort of expected that....What I didn't expect was watching person after person get their orders that ordered AFTER us. All we had was a burger and a fajita........That said; The Monterey Melt is outstanding and the onion rings are pretty good.
Once one of the better Whataburgers. We always stopped here when passing through. The last two times were terrible. We dine in. The employee bringing the tray made me get out of my seat to reach tray instead of just handing it to me. The order was also wrong. Will not go back!
We go to Whataburgers all over the state, bit this, by far, is consistently the worst. This store was so cold that we opted to eat in our vehicle. Customers were wrapped up in coats and it was 90 degrees outside earlier today. We waited over 5 minutes in a line where no one was taking orders. I assumed all these people had ordered and were waiting for their food, but they hadn't ordered yet either. Brittany finally came out and started taking orders. Ice machine was so low we barely got any. No napkins, lids in disarray. They had plenty of employees working to be able to run efficiently, but it wasn't efficient at all. Waited over 30 minutes for our food which was barely warm.
Every single time I go to this Whataburger, I have to call the restaurant to get them to bring out my curbside order. It's never brought out on time and there is always one thing wrong with my order. IE, I've gotten sausage instead of bacon on my biscuit and I've gotten the wrong flavor coffee or no flavor at all.
We ordered from door dash, got a burger and added mustard ketchup, and mayo aldo a grilled chickensandwiche and kids chicken strips. The burger looks like a mess, and the condiments were over loaded, there wasn't any mustard on it either. We really like Whataburger. the chicken sandwiches are messy too.. But for some reason their burgers are always bad. Also, I asked for spicy ketchup and didn't get it. For the price we pay, there should be more care with the orders...
Fast service, but it was obvious my burger was cooked before I showed up. I had the patty melt. Patty was cold and dry, onions were under cooked, and it was slapped together haphazardly. Only thing that happened fast was pickup. The dryness of the burger tells me that it shouldn't have been fast.
Wait time wasn’t bad, around 10 minutes. Once I received my burger it was cold and the cheese wasn’t melted. I went ahead and ate the burger and 10 minutes down the road I pulled over and threw up my meal. Be Careful Folks.
I ordered the whatachicken and it was disgusting. The lettuce on it was literally a pale shade of black. And extremely wilted. The tomato had absolutely no flavor. And in the past I've always had mayonnaise oh my chicken sandwich but, this time there was some sort of orange sauce on it it could have been Thousand Island dressing. But overall not a good experience.
The customer service here is so sad since Elodia left. Jessica is always rude at the window. She doesn’t smile nor act like she is grateful for the service. She should probably be in the back somewhere or at another place of business. It costs nothing to be nice to people or at least act like you enjoy your job!
The food was not hot. I didn’t realize a meat patty could be made this thin. We asked for napkins, spicy ketchup, salt and pepper (that should’ve been brought to the table) and she waited on another customer at the register before bringing that. They put mayo on the burger when we asked for mustard. It’s definitely not the Whataburger it used to be!
Hit or Miss mostly a miss. Even when I do get the proper amount of eggs in my taquito you are probably going to have some guy with tattoos he's showing off way too early in the morning hovering around you.
As always the milkshake machine was broke down for cleaning. It really gets my goat too. I work nights and sleep days so this is the time of day I want a milkshake. I think I'm just going to quit going to this location altogether because I never seem to have this problem at the other locations.
This place is a joke! 25 minutes for a three piece chicken strip. Never will we stop here again.
On this visit they were very short handed of course I don't fault them for that but it's the way they handled it. The manager in duty actually yelled at a coustmer and told him to get the he'll out of the restaurant and they gave my friends food to some other people there and those people knew it wasn't theirs but took it anyways and when my friends told them about it the manager told them they would just have to wait since they didn't say anything then. Now that just bad service
Arrived at exactly 11. No other customers at the restaurant. Took a minute or two to get a response at the drive thru. Food took about 10 minutes to get to me. Fries were stale, but slightly warm, as if reheated. Veggies on the burger were all soggy. There was something crunchy and very unsavory on my burger, left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I don't even want to imagine what that could have been. Other than the slow service and horrible food experience, the young woman that took my order was polite. I will not be visiting this location again.
The orders are never right. we always ask for cheese and it gets left off of at least one of our burgers every time. The employees always seem very annoyed to serve. It's sad that we have to drive 45 mins away to get a decent whataburger meal.

We ordered and brought it home ,my husband even told the checker to make sure order was right because we live 10 miles out of town.The order was wrong ordered double fried chicken sandwich no second patty put jalapeño on it.call manager told us they comp the meal.went to get meal gave us a grilled double chicken with jalapeño. So two tries and still could not get order right .we will eat somewhere else from now on.Over 40 dollars and really scrappy service.
Burger was stale, there was a, what appeared to be a roach on our fries, they were out of regular ketchup, one of the workers appeared to be possibly on drugs. We will with 100% certainty, never go back. 1 out of 5 would not recommend.
They got our order wrong. Wanted a plain chicken sandwich. So, took it to the counter and told them no veggies. They said ok but never took the item from me. The sandwich that they made incorrectly was on our table, so my brother decided to eat part of it. Then a lady came to our table asking for it. We told her they never took it, so she said it’s ok. The manager came out a couple minutes later demanding the wrong sandwich. Half was already eaten. She said we would have to pay for the new sandwich. My main complaint, they never asked for the uneaten wrong sandwich when I took it up to them originally. I’m over on the east coast working at the Marine base in Camp Lejeune NC. I’m a retired Marine with a lot of integrity. Typically, businesses do NOT want the wrong item back due to it was touched by a customer’s hand. That is just simply unsatisfactory to me. She was very rude! This occurred in about 10:45 on July 5 at the Cuero Texas location. This policy needs clarification. Yes, I paid for a new sandwich. But, the principal of the whole matter needs to be reviewed!
Found a hair in my fries after I ate them
Stopped for breakfast during our travel yesterday. Service & employees was terrible. Took long to get our food, & tables were dirty. A couple sitting next to us said it took 25 mins to get their food. Thought I would get an apple pie on my way out, but even though the employees were right there & looked at me , did not wait on me. After waiting, they never said anything, so I left. Worse Whataburger experience ever!!
They brought my burger out, and I had to wait for my fries. They said they were making them fresh. When I got them, they were definitely not fresh, and neither was my burger. The cheese wasn't even melted, and you could tell the patty had been reheated.
I left there not even 5 minutes ago, I had the simplest order. One sausage ranchero B.O.B with 2 sausage patties. Got charged for the extra patty, yet the B.O.B had only 1 patty. This is why I do NOT support fastfood workers wanting $15 per hour.
I've never had a quick visit to this place. 20 minutes minimum, from the time I place my order, everytime without fail regardless of what time I stop by. That's not including the time it takes to make it to the drive-thru speaker. Also, don't try ordering sweet and unsweetened tea at the same time, they will mess one up.
This place is horrible!!! I ordered my food online on my way home from work. Food ready at 1106pm. I sat in the drive waiting for 45 min then I get to the order screen to tell them I have a online order and 10 min goes by and no one comes to serve With a line of cars out the the street behind me I decided to just go in and what I found was a bunch of people standing around doing next to nothing. I will not be ordering again.
Our second attempt at Whataburger here in town... and the SECOND time we waited 45 minutes to have COLD food brought out to us. The first time I chalked it up to being busy, so I took my food inside and waited 25 minutes for it to all $65 to be remade. There were 3 cooks in the kitchen, a manager conducting an interview in the dining, and two girls on window/ front. The food was perfect once they remade it. Monday night, June 14, I ordered a double burger meal add cheese, bacon, jalapeños, mayo, and no onion with large drink and large fries. They were out of large lids so we opted for a LG fry and med drink so we could have a lid. I then ordered a patty melt meal, large fries and a med Dr.Pepper shake. After 15 minutes we had our drinks. After another 10 minutes we were asked to pull up. After about 30 minutes our food was brought out. My husband knowing our issue last time (with 4 hungry kids, thank goodness not this time) immediately check the first "burger". As he was getting it out he made the comment week the fries are cold. Once he unwrapped my patty MELT, there was nothing melted... the cheese was cool, perfect squares, the meat was COLD, the onions and sauce were room temp at best, and the toast was not warm... the same goes for the double bacon cheese burger. I mean they put enough mayo on it but all meats, cheese, and veggies were cold. I didn't have 25 more minutes so I took our $25 worth of cold food home, microwaved the burgers, air fried the fries, and had no shake with my meal because I finished it within the hour it took to get food and get home. So after 2 visits and $90+ we will NEVER go back to this What-A-Burger. Inquiring minds want to know: Why does it take 45 minutes to bring out cold food?
We waited for an HOUR it took forever they couldn’t find are ordered so they had to re make it again and then when we got it the burger was completely wrong. Worst service ever, never coming back.
Went through the drive through, took waaaay to long for food and there were only 2 of us there, ordered food forgot hash brown ugh 😑 😒
The burgers are the best and the patty melt is so awesome. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because they are so slow. The drive thru service is painfully slow. Then they will move a vehicle up to wait on an order but they usually don't pull up far enough so the vehicle at the window can not pull out. It's a real mess. I was using the app to order on line, but after seeing people pulling in the drive thru and leaving with their food while I am waiting to pick up my prepaid pre ordered food, I stopped using the app. If you have about 30-40 minutes to wait in the drive thru, you will enjoy an awesome WHATABURGER! Update: tried the online ordering again. Same stupid wait. No reason to use the app. You will still wait in line for 30-45 minutes. This Whataburger is so SLOW!!!!
Absolutely NO management! I ordered my food to go from inside. Cars lined up in drive-thru, people inside waiting for their food, 1 worker left from working behind the counter and sat down in dining area to eat her breakfast. As she was eating, she wiped her nose with her wrist. When she went back behind the counter, she did not wash her hands first but she put on gloves. They had one person cooking, one person working the to-go window (I think it was the so-called manager) and one person checking out. The manager was having a loud conversation with the checker's significant other, who was talking with a slur...she was explaining that her children were American but she is not (in a very loud voice) it took much longer than usual to get food and I didn't feel comfortable eating it. Coffee was cold. Food was barely warm.
Arrived at 9:12 pm..ordered Not everything on the Menu was available ??? Not sure why ...waited in Line 12 minutes I pay female says : Move up to the pole waited till 9:54pm. No Ice in our Drinks . I was about to call the manager (cars behind me where getting thier order and leaving 😒 ) then our order comes out with the cashier .No sorry or we forgot about you Ect.....of course the fries were cold.
They came out 4 different times with the wrong orders and when they finally brought the right order out they messed up on the burgers. Mustard instead of mayo, no cheese, raw onions on all three orders when should have been sauteed onions on only ONE burger. But I will give the young lady a 4 star for friendliness. Even though she seemed very confused. I've never had to give such a bad review.
Waited 15 minutes for a medium French fry, at 2pm ordered it curbside and I had to go in and get it. when I got in they didn’t even have fries down. Once the fries were done I still had to ask for my food…and they were not busy at all.
i don’t normally write reviews but i needed to write a review for how long i waited in line. i was already in a rush and waited for 30 minutes for my food which ended up just being lukewarm
Just about the worst Whataburger anywhere in Texas if I could give them 0 stars I would but there was no option went there for a small meal wanted to get a vanilla shake she replied machine is not working they didn't have ketchup either come to the window ask for some extra napkins she said I can not give you more napkins because we put some in the bag already talk about a customer service wow

Placed an order thru app and went to pick up waited more than 25 mins in the curbside pick up and they still messed up the order... no excuse for the delay nor the mess up... will not be recommending
We ordered on the app for curbside, waited an extra 20 minutes after the order was supposed to be done. Went inside to see what was going on, I know they were busy but I overheard the manager telling the girl that take the food to the curbside saying “ go talk to them, and her saying she don’t care “. It seemed like whatever she said was about not taking out orders to us because they were busy. Finally got our order, they missed our fries.
When you charge $14 for a meal, you expect to get the whole meal and have it made right. Totally ridiculous to leave out the fries in a meal, and the burger was sloppy from too much grease. Service was very slow, as always, and the food order is wrong. Check your food before you leave the drive thru or you may not get your food.
Took me 25 minutes to get my meal that I ordered using the app. Then they didn't even get the burger order correct and it had no cheese. Honestly I sat there for 25 minutes and watched the workers and there is no guidance or management.
Drive thru checker had bad attitude ,she was giving us wrong order ,asked about our order told her we ordered a number 7and number 11. She got order and just shoved it out the drive thru window , and not even a thank you I checked our order before leaving told her Thank you she just looked at us ,then manager lady shows up asked we have a problem. Told her check out lady has bad attitude. Not going back next time we just going to Dairy Queen , McDonald’s you get treated better at these two locations ,food is good but some of the employees need better training, and manager also need training in customer service .
Our "fast food" took an HOUR to get. The manager on shift refused to look at us when we asked about our order. Poor management and leadership for a business. Inside was packed and no one had their food. Drive thru line was wrapped around the parking lot. Nobody was receiving their food- at all.
Floor was sloppy wet. Food sat around forever while we just stared at it. Worst service in a long time. People were in line complaining the whole time we were there
Updating. Waited 20 min. Ordered food and my burger only got one patty. Thanks guys y'all are doing great! Didn't get to eat on my lunch break because I waited in the Drive-Thru line for 20 minutes at the window. It took three employees to do one thing and then once my food was finally finished it sat at the window for 5 minutes so my food wasn't warm. The order ended up being wrong. Waste of $12
Burgers were extremely well done and the edges were hard. My husband and I had a hard time swallowing these as they were so overdone. We waited in the lobby for our food for 30 mins as we did takeout. Most of the staff were standing around talking and laughing rather than working. Manager was doing the same thing. She was not in any rush to prep food or have her team prep it. We could see the drive thru line growing and customers were becoming impatient. Floors were filthy. We ended up throwing our food away. We have never had such terrible food from Whataburger. Next time we pass through town we will stop at subway. Always good food there.
Poor service . At 8:45 pm on October 8 2023 manager Brittany Caballero refused to brew a pot of coffee for my elderly mother (67years old) with the temperature being 65 degrees outside. Ordered my meal with cashier Raeleigh who stated they only make coffee in the mornings but but would ask the manager if one can be made. Manager stated that making coffee would be a waste as no one else would order any . Men’s room had no mirror and toilet was clogged . Update before leaving around 9:05pm another customer tried to order a cinnamon roll and cup of coffee but was also told no.
Overnight crew leaves a lot to be desired. Fries were hot and crispy but my burger was cold. They also do not give you a tray if you dine in, and don’t bring the ketchup and napkins around to you. Very lackluster poor service
The worst fast food breakfast!! Cold hash browns that tasted liked they were leftover from the night before. Cold breakfast on a bun sandwich as cheese didn’t even melt. Cold honey butter biscuit as well. Won’t be back!!
I normally only leave positive reviews. I’ve eaten here before with slightly better service. I wish I could say that my online order (which I placed AFTER I was at the restaurant) was ready in a timely manner and that I only had to tell them once that I’m here to get it, and that they hadn’t stored it away after I was here as if they were waiting until I get here. But I can’t. I wish I could say that they had it on a tray for dine in as requested, and had the drink cup included as ordered, and that I didn’t have to ask for the drink cup, and that they knew what size drink I ordered. But I can’t. I wish I could say that the sandwich was fresh and hot when I got it. I wish I could say that at least they apologized when they realized I was waiting for over 10 minutes after the order was ready, but I can’t.
I watched the cook for about 20 minutes, a very large sweaty guy, during this time he answered the phone, adjusted his pants, took an order at the register, grabbed something to drink (which he touched all over the mouth of the cup) and never once did he take off his gloves before grabbing a handful of meat patties, then buns and cheese. Pretty disgusting. Gloves need to stop being used in restaurants, especially where minimum wage workers are working that don’t really care, it gives a sense of false security.
Clearly no one has told the workers here that they are suppose to serve the costumers. Lot of hanging out. Not much order taking. More of a workers lounge than a customer dining area.
I went there this morning i was the only customer . I went through the drive thru and ordered 2 biscuits with sausage, egg and cheese. I had to wait 25 minutes for my food. That is not the first time i had to wait a long time for my order. So if you are in a hurry i would go somewhere else.

Cuero whataburger is the worst whataburger out there. No ice in machine, absolutely no salt in fries, employees are so lazy and don't care about anything...NEVER GOING BACK

I ordered 2 burgers, the four cars in front of me went thru with their purchase after a short wait, cashier gave my drink and asked me to pull up, after thirty minutes I went inside and they said my order dropped from the screen, they would restart, after 51 minutes totally I get burgers which are made wrong and cold fries, but supervisor told me they gave two free cookies for the mess up, lol was that supposed to make me happy?

Absolutely terrible service. Put in an online order and waited over 30 minutes to get our food. Drive through was consistently being serviced and shuffled through, don’t didn’t seem to give a damn about the inside or online/pickup orders though. Quite a few other people were waiting the same amount of time, or more, to be given their food inside. The kicker is they really weren’t that busy for this to be an acceptable case, and it’s ridiculous that the drive through was given so much priority. This is not the first time this scenario has happened to me here so won’t be buying food from this location ever again.
I told the guy 3 times I ONLY WANTED BACON MAYO & MONTERY JACK CHEESE. I was going to eat on the road, I didn't need veggies falling out everywhere in my car. I had to pull over on highway & scrap of veggies! & my burger was half off bun stuck w the cheese. My soda was flat. Yuck, do better. I love in cc where whataburger is from & expect more from small towns that have one
They took so long to get our ordered ahead curbside out that we had to walk in there and get it. Which in itself isn’t a problem but if we order curbside I expect curbside. Horrible service. The food was subpar. How is my food cold but also wasn’t ready
This is an old whataburger. The staff seemed confused. The fries tasted like they had been fried a couple of hours ago. Very stale. The hamburger was ok. The grilled chicken salad was served on Romaine lettuce instead of baby salad mix. Very poor food.
Every available table was dirty, gum on seat back. I had to sit at a dirty table. Floors gross, bathroom gross, no paper towels in bathroom. Had to wait to use bathroom only to be met by an employee who obviously hadn't washed his hands. All this while the manager and another employee were taking their time, sitting down to eat and cut up. Do better.
My burger was cold, chicken super hard, dry, my cheese wasn’t even melted. By far the worst whataburger. Oh and my chicken was cut in half or maybe it was two chicken strips who knows? Wouldn’t recommend this whataburger. My husbands burger was the same.. Never have I ever been to a whataburger with ugly food..
